Abstract:
This paper briefly introduces the first 714KaDP cloud and fog radar in China and the situation during the experimental verification in kunming changshui airport. The MMW pulse doppler radar is designed specifically for low-visibility weather conditions that affect the operation of civil aviation airports, has a low cloud and fog monitoring and early warning capability within 30km, it can track the low clouds and fog in the airport, and can provide the basic data and other products of cloud and fog. It can provide effective means for the detection of low clouds and foggy weather in the airport, monitoring and early warning ability of the low-visibility weather conditions which seriously affect the normal operation of the air traffic control are significantly improved. A long time radar detection is carried out on areas that are prone to low cloud and fog from upstream in changshui airport.It is found that: the radar has a very keen capture ability on low clouds and fog gengeration, elimination, evolution in airport upstream, is ideally suited for monitoring and early warning low cloud and fog which has obvious characteristics of advection(frontal fog, low cloud advection, radiation fog advection, etc.) Through the different characteristics of low cloud and fog weather process analysis of radar products, weather forecasters can monitor the generation, evolution and elimination of the low cloud and fog how it affect the airport, for the early warning, real-time tracking and evaporating of secondary release decisions provide objective and strong support. It provides an objective and powerful support for early warning, real-time tracking and flight second release.
