| Abstract: | This paper briefly reviews geothermal study in China since 1949. The progress of terrestrial heat flow measurements and their geologic-geophysical implication as well as the distribution characteristics and the genetic machanism of geothermal resources in China are reviewed and summarized in detail. Finally, the direction of further development of geothermics in China is pointed out by the authors. |
