本文对OH/IR脉泽源的银河系分布和光度函数进行了研究。所选127个OH/IR脉泽源全部是有光学或红外证认的,其中大部分是光谱型>M5的长周期变星(主要是Mira变星)。计算结果表明:OH/IR脉泽源在离银心R_0≈7.5kpc处有一个最大的空间密度,在R R_0时,空间密度下降较快,分布曲线的FWHM≈2.1kpc.以上结果与Glass等人对Mira变星所做的结果基本一致。由OH/IR脉泽源的距离、探测几率、改正后的OH射电峰值流量导出了已证认OH/IR源的光度函数.光度分布在0.6—1000Jy·kpc~2范围内,源的数目随L变大急剧下降,此特征类似于未证认的OH/IR源.由文中结果得到银河系中有光学或红外对应体的OH/IR脉泽源约2×10~5个,大部分未探测到的OH/IR源,其流量密度可能在0.1—1Jy之间.文中最后讨论了已证认OH/IR源与未证认OH/IR源之间的区别和联系.  相似文献

用中科院射电联合实验室上海天文台25米望远镜,对19个已知水脉泽源和20个HII区候选源进行了水脉泽观测和搜寻,共测到水脉泽辐射21个,包括2个首次测到S/N≥3σ的源.结合已知脉泽资料求出了脉泽时变,发现峰值流量的变化比较普遍,包括同一峰强度变化及不同成分置换引起的变化两种情况,峰值速度变化多数由不同成分置换所造成.证认了对应的IRAS源并探讨了脉泽辐射与红外参量的关系,表明红外辐射的强度对脉泽产生率的影响比颜色分布的影响大.  相似文献

本文提出OH超脉泽源的一个具体模型,在该模型中OH超脉泽源由非饱和的球型子源组成.在此估算出超脉泽星系致密射电核的尺度和连续谱亮温度,以及OH源距星系核的最小非饱和距离.计算表明,OH超脉泽源所包含的子源数目可能相当大.R_H~log ρ_(25μm)/ρ_(60μm)图、log L_(OH)/L_(IR)~log ρ_(25μm)/ρ_(60μm)图和其它结果显示,有一部分OH超脉泽源很可能是弱饱和的,本文对此作了解释.  相似文献

利用VLBI MKIII系统多磁道记录的优点,在1665和1667MHz两个频率上,同时观测活动恒星形成区 W3(OH)的左右圆偏振羟基分子脉泽辐射。发现了三个Zeeman对,由脉泽子源的速度分裂导得磁场约为6mG,我们估计恒星形成区的磁场和氢气体密度有关系B~n~(0.54)。  相似文献

用射电天文联合实验室紫金山天文台青海站13.7米望远镜,于1997年4月对97个水脉泽源做了CO(J=1-0)的巡测及部分成图观测,结果表明81个源的谱线适于作成协星体活动分析.经初步证认有外向流候选者33个,全部为首次给出高速范围.对其轮廓特点及与H2O脉泽辐射的关系作了简要讨论.CO高速气体和H2O脉泽的速度范围和峰值速度在多数情况下分别相符,这说明两者的激发可能相关.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the galactic distribution and luminosity function of OH/IR maser sources. All the selected OH/IR sources have optical or infrared identification. Most of them are associated with late-type (>M5) Mira variables. Their derived density distribution shows a steep peak at a galactocentric distance of r0-7.5 kpc and decreases rapidly at smaller and larger R0. The FWHM of the distribution curve is 2.1 kpc. This is similar to the galactic distribution of Mira variables investigated by Glass et al.

We also derive the luminosity function of the identified OH/IR maser sources from their distances, their detection probabilities, and their corrected OH radio peak flux densities. The luminosity function ρ(L) varies as LOH−1.79. This is similar to that of unidentified maser sources. The range of luminosity of identified OH/IR sources is approximately from 0.16 Jy · kpc2 to 1000 Jy · kpc2. It is quite different from that of unidentified OH sources.

Finally, we discuss some differences and relations between identified and unidentified OH/IR maser sources.  相似文献

We present a statistical analysis of 482 6.7 GHz methanol maser sources from the available literature, on their maser emission and the characteristics of their associated infrared sources. On the color-color diagram, more than 70% of the objects fall within a very small region (0.57 ≤ [25 - 12] ≤ 1.30 and 1.30 ≤[60 - 12] ≤ 2.50). This suggests that 6.7 GHz methanol maser emission occurs only within a very short evolutionary phase during the earliest stage of star formation. The velocity ranges of the masers belong to two main groups: one from 1 to 10 km s^-1, and one from about 11 to 20 km s^-1. These velocity ranges indicate that the masers are probably associated with both disks and outflows. The correlations between the maser and infrared flux densities, and between the maser and infrared luminosities, suggest that far-infrared radiation is a possible pumping mechanism for the masers which most probably originate from some outer molecular envelopes or disks.  相似文献

The interstellar UV field at 1565 Å is calculated around nearby OH/IR sources. The front-back asymmetry observed in the 1612 MHz maser line profile is well correlated with anisotropy of the interstellar UV flux. For some sources the spatial positions of the 1612 MHz masers are confined to the position angles for which stronger UV radiation occurs. These facts strongly support the theory of the photoproduction of OH from H2O induced by ambient interstellar UV photons penetrating the circumstellar shell. A simple model of the 1612 MHz maser with OH photoproduction suggests that the influence of the UV field on the observed maser profiles is governed by the mass loss rate and the relative abundances of OH and H2O molecules.  相似文献

Using the 25-m telescope of Shanghai Observatory, Joint Radio Astronomy Laboratory, 19 known maser sources and 20 candidates in H II regions were surveyed for water vapour maser emission at 22.2 GHz. 21 sources were detected, of which two are for the first time. Combining with some previous data, the time variations in the flux and velocity are obtained and discussed. Time variation in the peak flux density is common and is of two types, a change in the intensity of the same peak, and a swapping-over of two peaks. The corresponding IRAS sources were identified and the relation between the maser emission and the infrared parameters discussed. It is shown that maser production rate is more sensitive to the infrared flux intensity than the infrared colour distribution.  相似文献

We present high angular resolution MERLIN observations of the 18-cm OH maser and continuum emission associated with the active core of the ultraluminous infrared galaxy Markarian 273. The continuum emission comes from three distinct regions in the central arcsecond of the galaxy. The brightest region of emission has a double-peaked structure which is spatially coincident with similar structures observed at 6 cm and 2.2 μm. The peak of the OH maser emission is spatially coincident with the peak in the continuum. For the first time the maser emission is spatially resolved, allowing us to measure the gas motion within the central 100 pc of the galaxy. Maser emission is found in both the 1665- and 1667-MHz lines, with no systematic offset found in the spatial locations of the two lines. The brighter component of the maser emission shows ordered motion and is aligned along the axis of the double-peaked structure in the brightest continuum region. The gas motion enables us to estimate the central mass density to be 850±50 M pc−3, which corresponds to a total mass of ≈1.5×108 M.  相似文献

We present recent radio interferometer measurements of the OH 1612 MHz maser emission from the OH/IR sources OH0.9+1.3 and OH357.31 obtained with the enhanced MERLIN. Some preliminary results are briefly discussed. These results are part of an on-going observational campaign to obtain the best radio maps of bright OH/IR stars with MERLIN, VLA and VLBA, in order to understand the nature and dynamics of their circumstellar matter and evolution.  相似文献

We collect 3249 OH maser sources from the literature published up to April 2007, and compile a new catalog of OH masers. We look for the exciting sources of these masers and their infrared properties from IRAS and MSX data, and make a statistical study. MSX sources associated with stellar 1612 MHz OH masers are located mainly above the blackbody line; this is caused by the dust absorption of stellar envelopes, especially in the MSX A band. The multi-element radio-linked interferometer network (MERLIN) measurements of 1665-, 1667- and 1720-MHz OH masers associated with NGC 7538 are presented. The masers are located at the centres of three bipolar molecular outflows associated with the infrared sources IRS 1, IRS 9 and IRS 11. The distribution of OH masers in IRS 1 is more extensive than previously reported and is displaced to the south of the methanol 6.7-GHz masers. The OH masers in IRS 9 have not previously been reported. Their distribution seems to be orthogonal to the direction of the outflow and to the distribution of H2O masers. The maser distribution in IRS 11 is parallel to the dust ridge and orthogonal to the outflow. Full polarization measurements of the OH maser emission show systematic differences between the three sources. IRS 1 has moderate polarization, with linear polarization vectors partially aligned with the bipolar outflow; IRS 9 exhibits larger polarization, but little linear component; IRS 11 shows the strongest polarization and has linear polarization vectors aligned parallel to the outflow. There is also evidence for a toroidal component of the magnetic field around the IRS 11 outflow, orthogonal to the outflow direction. It is suggested that the differences in polarization trace a possible evolutionary sequence from oldest (IRS 1) to youngest (IRS 11).  相似文献

The Australia Telescope National Facility Mopra millimetre telescope has been used to search for 95.1-GHz class I methanol masers towards 62 6.6-GHz class II methanol masers. A total of 26 95.1-GHz masers were detected, 18 of these being new discoveries. Combining the results of this search with observations reported in the literature, a near complete sample of 66 6.6-GHz class II methanol masers has been searched in the 95.1-GHz transition, with detections towards 38 per cent (25 detections; not all of the sources studied in this paper qualify for the complete sample, and some of the sources in the sample were not observed in the present observations).
There is no evidence of an anticorrelation between either the velocity range, or peak flux density of the class I and II transitions, contrary to suggestions from previous studies. The majority of class I methanol maser sources have a velocity range that partly overlaps with the class II maser transitions. The presence of a class I methanol maser associated with a class II maser source is not correlated with the presence (or absence) of main-line OH or water masers. Investigations of the properties of the infrared emission associated with the maser sources shows no significant difference between those class II methanol masers with an associated class I maser and those without. This may be consistent with the hypothesis that the objects responsible for driving class I methanol masers are generally not those that produce main-line OH, water or class II methanol masers.  相似文献
