Ten lightcurves and UBV photometry of 433 Eros were obtained between August 1972 and May 1975. The absolute magnitude of the lightcurve maximum is 10.75 and the phase coefficient is 0.025 mag/deg. There may be a small difference in B-V color between the northern and southern hemispheres. The pole of the axis of rotation is directed toward λ0 = 16°, β0 = 12°, ecliptic longitude and latitude, respectively, and the rotation is direct with a sidereal period of 0.d219599 or 5h16m13s4 ± 0.s2. The dimensions derived from the polarimetric albedo and the lightcurve amplitudes are 12km × 12km × 31km for a smooth cylinder with hemispherical ends.  相似文献

A lightcurve of Vesta, obtained on four nights between June 23 and 30 June 1978 during the coordinated campaign for the determination of the rotation period, is presented. The observations were performed at the 91-cm telescope of the Catania Observatory employing UBV filters and a photon counting photometer. The V lightcurve apparently shows a single maximum, suggesting that the 5h20m29s.2 period is the correct one. Features are evident near the maximum and the minimum closely resembling those of Johnson's lightcurve of 22 December 1950 and Taylor's of January 21, 1973. The amplitude in V light is 0m.105 and small variations are also found in the color indices. The largest color variation is for the U-V with Δm = 0.m.05, which is slightly larger than the value 0m.02 found by T. Gehrels [Astron. J.72, 929 (1967)]. The maximum and minimum values occur at the same phase with respect to the maximum V light as found by Gehrels, i.e., Vesta appears bluer near 0p.25 and redder near 0p.7. Corrections with the solar phase angle were made using the coefficients given by Gehrels for the B-V and U-V while a new value of 0.036 mag/deg was assumed for the V observations. The available amplitudes of Vesta's lightcurve were analyzed with respect to the longitude position and the solar phase angle.  相似文献

Photoelectric observations of the minor planet 63 Ausonia were obtained on 12 nights during the 1976 opposition at the Astronomical Observatory of Torino. A complete lightcurve with two maxima and two minima was observed with a maximum amplitude of 0.47 mag. The synodic period of rotation, never before determined photoelectrically, was found to be 9h17m48s ± 5s. The absolute magnitude of the primary maximum, V0(1, 0) = 7.49 mag, and the phase coefficient, βv = 0.035 mag/deg, were deduced by the magnitude-phase relation. Comparison with other observations is briefly discussed and a mean radius is determined from a previous value of the geometric albedo.  相似文献

New and existing photometry for the G0 Ia supergiant HD 18391 is analyzed in order to confirm the nature of the variability previously detected in the star, which lies off the hot edge of the Cepheid instability strip. Small‐amplitude variability at a level of δV = 0.016 ± 0.002 is indicated, with a period of P = 123d.04 ± 0d.06. A weaker second signal may be present at P = 177d.84 ± 0d.18 with δV = 0.007 ± 0.002, likely corresponding to fundamental mode pulsation if the primary signal represents overtone pulsation (123.04/177.84 = 0.69). The star, with a spectroscopic reddening of EB–V = 1.02 ± 0.003, is associated with heavily‐reddened B‐type stars in its immediate vicinity that appear to be outlying members of an anonymous young cluster centered ∼10′ to the west and 1661 ± 73 pc distant. The cluster has nuclear and coronal radii of rn = 3.5′ and Rc = 14′, respectively, while the parameters for HD 18391 derived from membership in the cluster with its outlying B stars are consistent with those implied by its Cepheid‐like pulsation, provided that it follows the semi‐period‐luminosity relation expected of such objects. Its inferred luminosity as a cluster member is MV = –7.76 ± 0.10, its age (9 ± 1) × 106 years, and its evolutionary mass ∼19 M. HD 18391 is not a classical Cepheid, yet it follows the Cepheid period‐luminosity relation closely, much like another Cepheid impostor, V810 Cen (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. By considering both the orbital lightcurve of Iapetus and data obtained during the March 30, 1974, occultation of the satellite by the Moon, we obtain information about the brightness distribution on the bright face of Iapetus and derive an accurate value for the satellite's radius. From the observed orbital lightcurve we find that the trailing face of Iapetus must consist predominantly of a single bright material with an effective limb-darkening parameter of k = 0.62?0.120.10. Given this result the occultation observations imply a radius of 718?78+87 km. If the patchy albedo model proposed by Morrison et al. represents the surface of Iapetus accurately (as far as the relative albedo distribution is concerned) then the radius of Iapetus is 724 ± 60 km. Both estimates are consistent with the radiometric radius of 835 (+50, ?75) km derived by Morrison et al. Combining our results with the value of 0.60 ± 0.14 for the normal reflectance (in V) of the material at the center of the bright face derived by Elliot et al. we find that the normal reflectance of the dark side material is 0.11?0.03+0.04. These values are higher than the corresponding values of 0.35 and 0.05 quoted by Morrison et al.  相似文献

Differential photometry of this K1 IV–III p RS VNn-type binary in 1978–79, 1979–80, and 1980–81 at eight different observatories shows that the variability, discovered orignally by Herbst, is periodic. The mean of three different determinations of the photometric period was 24d.39±-0d.03, about 1% shorter than the orbital period of 24d.649 determined spectroscopically by Harper. The total range observed during these three years was 5 m .60<V<5 m .85. The light curve was nearly sinusoidal but always noticeably asymmetric, with the sense reversing sometime between 1979–80 and 1980–81.  相似文献

We present the results of our UBV and JHKLM photometry for the semiregular pulsating variable V1027 Cyg, a supergiant with an infrared excess, over the period from 1997 to 2015 (UBV) and in 2009–2015 (JHKLM). Together with the new data, we analyze the photometric observations of V1027 Cyg that we have obtained and published previously. Our search for a periodicity in the UBV brightness variations has led to several periods from P = 212d to 320d in different time intervals. We have found the period P = 237d based on our infrared photometry. The variability amplitude, the lightcurve shape, and themagnitude of V1027 Cyg atmaximum light change noticeably from cycle to cycle. The deepest minimum was observed in 2011, when the amplitudes of brightness variations in the star reached the following values: ΔU = 1 . m 28, ΔB = 1 . m 10, ΔV = 1 . m 05, ΔJ = 0 . m 30, ΔH = 0 . m 35, ΔK = 0 . m 32, ΔL = 0 . m 26, and ΔM = 0 . m 10. An ambiguous correlation of the B ? V and U ? B colors with the brightness has been revealed. For example, a noticeable bluing of the star was observed during the deep 1992, 2008, and 2011 minima, while the variations with smaller amplitudes show an increase in B ? V at the photometric minima. The spectral energy distribution for V1027 Cyg from our photometry in the range 0.36 (U)–5.0 (M) μm corresponds to spectral types from G8I to K3I at different phases of the pulsation cycle. Low-resolution spectra of V1027 Cyg in the range λ4400–9200 ?A were taken during 16 nights over the period 1995–2015. At the 1995 and 2011 photometric minima the star’s spectrum exhibited molecular TiO bands whose intensity corresponded to spectral types M0–M1, while the photometric data point to a considerably earlier spectral type. We hypothesize that the TiO bands are formed in the upper layers of the extended stellar atmosphere. We have measured the equivalent widths of the strongest absorption lines, in particular, the infrared Ca II triplet in the spectrum of V1027 Cyg. The calcium triplet (Ca T) with W λ(Ca T) = 20.3 ± 1.8 ?A as a luminosity indicator for supergiants places V1027 Cyg in the region of the brightest G–K supergiants. V1027 Cyg has been identified with the infrared source IRAS 20004+2955 and is currently believed to be a candidate for post-AGB stars. The evolutionary status of the star and its difference from other post-AGB objects are discussed.  相似文献

We consider two samples of OB stars with different distance scales that we have studied previously. The first and second samples consist of massive spectroscopic binaries with photometric distances and distances determined from interstellar calcium lines, respectively. The OB stars are located at heliocentric distances up to 7 kpc. We have identified them with the Gaia DR1 catalogue. Using the proper motions taken from the Gaia DR1 catalogue is shown to reduce the random errors in the Galactic rotation parameters compared to the previously known results. By analyzing the proper motions and parallaxes of 208 OB stars from the Gaia DR1 catalogue with a relative parallax error of less than 200%, we have found the following kinematic parameters: (U, V) = (8.67, 6.63)± (0.88, 0.98) km s?1, Ω0 = 27.35 ± 0.77 km s?1 kpc?1, Ω′0 = ?4.13 ± 0.13 km s?1 kpc?2, and Ω″0 = 0.672 ± 0.070 km s?1 kpc?3, the Oort constants are A = ?16.53 ± 0.52 km s?1 kpc?1 and B = 10.82 ± 0.93 km s?1 kpc?1, and the linear circular rotation velocity of the local standard of rest around the Galactic rotation axis is V 0 = 219 ± 8 km s?1 for the adopted R 0 = 8.0 ± 0.2 kpc. Based on the same stars, we have derived the rotation parameters only from their line-of-sight velocities. By comparing the estimated values of Ω′0, we have found the distance scale factor for the Gaia DR1 catalogue to be close to unity: 0.96. Based on 238 OB stars of the combined sample with photometric distances for the stars of the first sample and distances in the calcium distance scale for the stars of the second sample, line-of-sight velocities, and proper motions from the Gaia DR1 catalogue, we have found the following kinematic parameters: (U, V, W) = (8.19, 9.28, 8.79)± (0.74, 0.92, 0.74) km s?1, Ω0 = 31.53 ± 0.54 km s?1 kpc?1, Ω′0 = ?4.44 ± 0.12 km s?1 kpc?2, and Ω″0 = 0.706 ± 0.100 km s?1 kpc?3; here, A = ?17.77 ± 0.46 km s?1 kpc?1, B = 13.76 ± 0.71 km s?1 kpc?1, and V 0 = 252 ± 8 km s?1.  相似文献

To study the peculiarities of the Galactic spiral density wave, we have analyzed the space velocities of Galactic Cepheids with propermotions from the Hipparcos catalog and line-of-sight velocities from various sources. First, based on the entire sample of 185 stars and taking R 0 = 8 kpc, we have found the components of the peculiar solar velocity (u , v ) = (7.6, 11.6) ± (0.8, 1.1) km s?1, the angular velocity of Galactic rotation Ω0 = 27.5 ± 0.5 km s?1 kpc?1 and its derivatives Ω′0 = ?4.12 ± 0.10 km s?1 kpc?2 and Ω″0 = 0.85 ± 0.07 km s?1 kpc?3, the amplitudes of the velocity perturbations in the spiral density wave f R = ?6.8 ± 0.7 and f θ = 3.3 ± 0.5 km s?1, the pitch angle of a two-armed spiral pattern (m = 2) i = ?4.6° ± 0.1° (which corresponds to a wavelength λ = 2.0 ± 0.1 kpc), and the phase of the Sun in the spiral density wave χ = ?193° ± 5°. The phase χ has been found to change noticeably with the mean age of the sample. Having analyzed these phase shifts, we have determined the mean value of the angular velocity difference Ω p ? Ω, which depends significantly on the calibrations used to estimate the individual ages of Cepheids. When estimating the ages of Cepheids based on Efremov’s calibration, we have found |Ω p ? Ω0| = 10 ± 1stat ± 3syst km s?1 kpc?1. The ratio of the radial component of the gravitational force produced by the spiral arms to the total gravitational force of the Galaxy has been estimated to be f r0 = 0.04 ± 0.01.  相似文献

We have determined the Galactic rotation parameters and the solar Galactocentric distance R 0 by simultaneously solving Bottlinger’s kinematic equations using data on masers with known line-of-sight velocities and highly accurate trigonometric parallaxes and proper motions measured by VLBI. Our sample includes 73 masers spanning the range of Galactocentric distances from 3 to 14 kpc. The solutions found are Ω0 = 28.86 ± 0.45 km s?1 kpc?1, Ω′0 = ?3.96 ± 0.09 km s?1 kpc?2, Ω″0 = 0.790 ± 0.027 km s?1 kpc?3, and R 0 = 8.3 ± 0.2 kpc. In this case, the linear rotation velocity at the solar distance R 0 is V = 241 ± 7 km s?1. Note that we have obtained the R 0 estimate, which is of greatest interest, from masers for the first time; it is in good agreement with the most recent estimates and even surpasses them in accuracy.  相似文献

We present 26 lightcurves of 16 Psyche from 1975 and 1976. The synodic period during this apparition was 4h.1958. Combining photometric data from this opposition with those from previous apparitions allowed us to derive a mean phase coefficient in V of 0.026 ± 0.002 mag/deg and to establish that Psyche's absolute V0 magnitude and rotational amplitude vary with aspect; at 90° aspect, V0(1, 0) = 6.27 ± 0.05 and the lightcurve amplitude is 0.30 mag, while at 0° or 180° aspect, V0(1, 0) = 6.02 ± 0.02 and the amplitude is ?0.03 mag. This behavior is accounted for if, to first order, Psyche's shape is that of a triaxial ellipsoid with axial ratios near 5:4:3. Colors at zero phase are U-B = 0.26 ± 0.01 and B-V = 0.71 ± 0.01. Color phase coefficients are <0.001 mag/deg in U-B and 0.0010 ± 0.0004 mag/deg in B-V.  相似文献

We have redetermined the kinematic parameters of the Gould Belt using currently available data on the motion of nearby young (log t < 7.91) open clusters, OB associations, and moving stellar groups. Our modeling shows that the residual velocities reach their maximum values of ?4 km s?1 for rotation (in the direction of Galactic rotation) and +4 km s?1 for expansion at a distance from the kinematic center of ≈300 pc. We have taken the following parameters of the Gould Belt center: R 0 = 150 pc and l 0 = 128°. The whole structure is shown to move relative to the local standard of rest at a velocity of 10.7 ± 0.7 km s?1 in the direction l = 274° ± 4° and b = ?1° ± 3°. Using the derived rotation velocity, we have estimated the virial mass of the Gould Belt to be 1.5 × 106 M .  相似文献

The position of PSR0329+54 on the International Celestial Reference Frame was measured at epochs March 1995, May 1996, and May 1998. Our observations detected the proper motion of PSR0329+54. The position and proper motion agreed well with the position determined by Bartel et al. (1985). From combined analysis with our data and that of Bartel, the proper motion of PSR0329+54 was determined: μα=+17.4±0.3 mas yr−1, μδ=−11.0±0.3 mas yr−1. These results are consistent with the value by Harrison et al. (1993)measured with the MERLIN interferometer. We also determined the coordinates of PSR0329+54 very accurately within the ICRF: α=03h32m59s.3761±0s.0002, δ=54°34′43′′.5119±0′′.0015 at 1995.  相似文献

We present the results of 10 years of photometric CCD observations of the intermediate polar V709 Cas obtained by using different instruments during 2003–2013. We detected a new variability with a period of Pnew = 0.d016449979(5) which seems to be real. The spin variability is not clearly seen in all our data, so we are unable to study any evolution of the white dwarf rotation. From the best night (in 2010) we obtained a spin period of Pspin = 311.s8(5). We analyzed the orbital variability using (OC) analysis. We found no variations of the orbital period on a timescale of 10 years, but the linear fit to the (OC) diagram shows that the value of the orbital period is Porb = 0.d2222123(6), which is close to the earlier published values. We have tested the method of determining the solar Galactocentric distance R 0 and Galactic rotation velocity V 0 modified by Sofue et al. using near-solar-circle objects. The motion of objects relative to the local standard of rest has been properly taken into account. We show that when such young objects as star-forming regions or Cepheids are analyzed, allowance for the perturbations produced by the Galactic spiral density wave improves the statistical significance of the estimates. The estimate of R 0 = 7.25 ± 0.32 kpc has been obtained from 19 star-forming regions. The following estimates have been obtained from a sample of 14 Cepheids (with pulsation periods P > 5 d ): R 0 = 7.66 ± 0.36 kpc and V 0 = 267 ± 17 km s?1. We consider the influence of the adopted Oort constant A and the character of stellar proper motions (Hipparcos or UCAC4). The following estimates have been obtained from a sample of 18 Cepheids with stellar proper motions from the UCAC4 catalog: R 0 = 7.64 ± 0.32 kpc and V 0 = 217 ± 11 km s?1.  相似文献

We present photometric observations of Centaur (60558) 2000 EC98 and trans-neptunian object (55637) 2002 UX25 at different phase angles and with different filters (mainly R but also V and B for some data). Results for 2000 EC98 are: (i) a rotation period of 26.802±0.042 h if a double-peaked lightcurve is assumed, (ii) a lightcurve amplitude of 0.24±0.06 for the R band, (iii) a phase curve with H=9.03±0.01 and G=−0.39±0.08 (R filter) and H=9.55±0.04 and G=−0.50±0.35 (V filter) or a slope of (R filter) and 0.22±0.06 (V filter), (iv) the color indices B-V=0.76±0.15 and V-R=0.51±0.09 (for α=0.1-0.5°) and 0.55±0.08 (for α=1.4-1.5°). The rotation period is amongst the longest ever measured for Centaurs and TNOs. We also show that our photometry was not contaminated by any cometary activity down to magnitude ?27/arcsec2. For 2002 UX25 the results are: (i) a rotation period of 14.382±0.001 h or 16.782±0.003 h (if a double-peaked lightcurve is assumed) (ii) a lightcurve amplitude of 0.21±0.06 for the R band (and the 16.782 h period), (iii) a phase curve with H=3.32±0.01 and G=+0.16±0.18 or a slope of (R filter), (iv) the color indices B-V=1.12±0.26 and V-R=0.61±0.12. The phase curve reveals also a possible very narrow and bright opposition surge. Because such a narrow surge appears only for one point it needs to be confirmed.  相似文献

New photometric data of the light curve of the minor planet (89) Julia were obtained on nine nights during the 1972 opposition using the 60cm telescope at OHP. A synodic period of 11h23m14s ± 7s and an amplitude of 0.25mag were derived from the measurements. The light curve is rather unsymmetric and no plausible explanation for this has been offered so far. The measurements have been carried out in instrumental V′; the data obtained in B′ and U′ supplement all conclusions from V′ data concerning the rotation of Julia.  相似文献

We present the results of photometric observations of a bright cataclysmic variable TT Ari with an orbital period of 0.13755 days. CCD observations were carried out with the Russian-Turkish RTT 150 telescope in 2001 and 2004 (13 nights). Multi-color photoelectric observations of the system were obtained with the Zeiss 600 telescope of SAO RAS in 1994–1995 (6 nights). In 1994–1995, the photometric period of the system was smaller than the orbital one (0 . d 132 and 0 . d 134), whereas it exceeded the latter (0 . d 150 and 0 . d 148) in 2001, 2004. An additional period exceeding the orbital one (0 . d 144) is detected in 1995 modulations. We interpret it as indicating the elliptic disc precession in the direction of the orbital motion. In 1994, the variability in colors shows periods close to the orbital one (0 . d 136, b-v), as well as to the period indicating the elliptic disk precession (0 . d 146, w-b). We confirm that during the epochs characterized by photometric periods shorter than the orbital one, the quasi-periodic variability of TT Ari at time scales about 20 min is stronger than during epochs with long photometric periods. In general, the variability of the system can be described as a “red” noise with increased amplitudes of modulations at characteristic time scales of 10–40 min.  相似文献

We have computed a combined spectroscopic-interferometric orbit for the nearby binary Gliese 600 discovered by us. The orbital period is 2.78 years, and the semimajor axis is 100 mas (0.1″). Its M0 V components are almost identical and have a mass of 0.5M . The mass ratio is uncertain because of the low radialvelocity semiamplitude (7 km s?1) associated with the low orbital inclination (37°). The orbital parallax of the binary (52±11 mas) matches its dynamical and photometric parallaxes but differs significantly from the Hipparcos parallax (44.3±1.6) mas; the latter was probably distorted by the orbital motion that was not taken into account.  相似文献

A sample of classical Cepheids with known distances and line-of-sight velocities has been supplemented with proper motions from the Gaia DR1 catalogue. Based on the velocities of 260 stars, we have found the components of the peculiar solar velocity vector (U, V, W) = (7.90, 11.73, 7.39) ± (0.65, 0.77, 0.62) km s?1 and the following parameters of the Galactic rotation curve: Ω0 = 28.84 ± 0.33 km s?1 kpc?1, Ω′0 = ?4.05 ± 0.10 km s?1 kpc?2, and Ω″0 = 0.805 ± 0.067 km s?1 kpc?3 for the adopted solar Galactocentric distance R 0 = 8 kpc; the linear rotation velocity of the local standard of rest is V 0 = 231 ± 6 km s?1.  相似文献
