The distribution and rates of accumulation of Mo in marine deposits have been determined and compared with the same parameters for U and Mn. High concentrations of Mo are associated both with oxidizing environments represented by the presence of ferro-manganese oxide-rich sediments (where Mo/U ~- 3) and with reducing environments (where Mo/U is about unity). The supply of Mo by streams is more than adequate to balance the measured removal rate in normal deep-sea deposits and no submarine volcanic ‘emanations’ need be involved. On an ocean-wide basis, 4 · 3 μg Mo/cm2/1000 yr is supplied in solution by streams. Of this, 2·0 μg Mo/cm2/1000 yr is removed in deep-sea sediments and manganese nodules. The remaining 2·3 μg Mo/cm2/1000 yr is probably removed in primarily (but not exclusively) near-shore reducing sediments. The average Mo accumulation rate in these environments is about 1000 μg Mo/cm2/1000 yr; thus only 0·23 per cent of the world ocean area need be such reducing sites.  相似文献

Osheepcheon Creek running through the Dogyae area is being polluted by the influx of the abandoned coal mine drainage. Generally, the more polluted water has lower pH and Eh and higher conductivity values. The concentrations of Mg, Ca, Fe, SO4, and some trace elements, such as Cd, Co, Cr, Mo, Ni, Pb, Rb, Sr, U and Zn, are tens to hundreds of times more concentrated in the abandoned coal mine drainage than in the unpolluted streamwater. However, most immobile toxic pollutants from the mine drainage are quickly removed from the streamwater by the precipitation of amorphous Fe hydroxide and sorption on the precipitated Fe hydroxide. The fast removal of the pollutants from the streamwater maintains the water quality of the creek as acceptable at most places along the stream path, except where the abandoned coal mine drainage flows in. However, the creek has the potential of deteriorating quickly if the mine drainage is allowed to be continuously combined with the streams. A function of pH, Eh, and conductivity has been developed with discriminant function analysis for the purpose of easy, fast, and inexpensive measurement of the degrees of pollution of the streams. The estimated pollution of the streams with the discriminant function are consistent with what the chemical compositions of the water samples indicate. The pollution map of the study area was constructed from the calculated scores with the discriminant function. The pollution map suggests that the pollutants mainly come from the west side of Osheepcheon Creek. Thus, the abandoned coal mine drainage from the west side has to be appropriately treated as soon as possible to prevent Osheepcheon Creek from being further polluted. Considering the topography, climate, and the amount of the mine drainage, an active treatment method is recommended.  相似文献

Intensive mining and processing of the polymetallic sulfide ore body of Cerro Rico de Potosí (Bolivia) has occurred since 1545, leading to severe degradation of surface and subsurface waters, stream sediments, and soils at the headwaters of the economically vital, yet highly impacted, Rio Pilcomayo. Previous studies have documented extremely elevated concentrations of a limited suite of metals in local waterways from acid mine drainage (AMD), terrestrial and in-stream tailings, and ore processing plant discharges. However, contamination from a wider variety of ecotoxic metals/metalloids was considered likely due to the highly mineralized polymetallic nature of the ore body. To screen for this broader range of ecotoxic elements in AMD and receiving streams, data were gathered during two sampling events timed for the most extreme periods of the dry and wet seasons of one water-year. Concentrations of Ag, B, Ba, Mo, Sb, Se, Sn and V in AMD and receiving streams were greater than Bolivian discharge limits and receiving water body guidelines as well as international agricultural use standards. Locally, results indicate that contamination from mining Cerro Rico has a larger scope than previously thought and underscore the importance of remediation. Globally, the results raise the possibility that other mining regions could have unquantified hazards from overlooked ecotoxic elements and that screening for a broader range of contaminants may be warranted.  相似文献

In an attempt to delineate heavy metal contamination precincts and to evaluate the extent and degree of toxic levels, besides their possible sources, 38 water samples from Ankaleshwar Industrial Estate, south Gujarat, India were analyzed. By clutching geochemical analyses and GIS-based colour composites areas depicting anomalously high concentration of heavy metals (Mo, Zn, Pb, Ni, Co, Cd, etc.) in the groundwater were revealed. The multicomponent overlays in grey-scale facilitated in identifying situates of heavy metal ‘hot spots’, and lateral protuberances of the contamination plume around defile stretch of the main stream Amla Khadi flowing through the area. The multiple pollution plumes emerging from other parts of the area further coincide with effluent laden streams and small channels indicating industrial establishments as major sources of groundwater contamination. Influent nature of the streams, accelerated infiltration process, high mass influx and shallow groundwater table are the factors conducive for easy access of heavy metals to the phreatic aquifers affecting over 20 km2 area. On the basis of P/U ratios (concentration of metals in polluted water to unpolluted water), geogenic and anthropogenic sources have been identified. Very high levels of technogenic elements present in the ground water raise concerns about possible migration into food crops, as the area is an important horticultural locale and is highly cultivated.  相似文献

In this paper, the influence of anthropogenic activity on surface water chemistry is investigated. Base flow samples from dominant land use streams in the Muskegon River Watershed, Michigan, USA, were analyzed for nutrients, major ions, and trace elements. Principal component and hierarchical cluster analysis were used to investigate the processes controlling the effects of land use on the biogeochemistry of streams in this Watershed. Biogeochemical fingerprints of land use were developed based on the results of the cluster analysis. Spider diagrams which referenced the natural environment aided the identification of the individual contributions of urban and agricultural land uses to surface water chemistry. The biogeochemical fingerprints quantified support previous findings (Urb: Na, K, Cl/Ag: Ca, Mg) and produced new insights into the effects of land use on the behavior of nutrients (Ag: N and Urb: N, P) and trace elements (Urb: V, Cr, Co, Cu, Se, Rb, Mo, Sr, Cd, Pb and Ba/Ag: U and As). The higher correlations of urban than agricultural land uses with nutrients, specifically P, were not expected and may reflect the effects of fertilization and wastewater or the season the samples were taken. More study in different geologic and urban settings is needed to help refine these fingerprints, but it is becoming apparent that despite obscuring factors, land use produces consistent, quantifiable associations between biogeochemical analytes.  相似文献

The Caldas Uranium Mine (CUM), located on the Poços de Caldas Plateau in the southeastern region of Brazil, is presently undergoing a decommissioning process. The aim of the present investigation is to identify and characterize the effects of acid mine drainage (AMD) originating from the CUM on surface water quality. To achieve these aims, sampling stations were located at two AMD sources: the retention pond at the foot of waste rock pile#4 (WRP#4) and the settling pond that receives effluents from the tailings dam (TD). Ten additional sampling stations were located along watercourses in the vicinity, both downstream and upstream of the mine. Sampling was performed during the rainy and dry seasons in 2010 and 2011. The water analysis detected significant changes in pH, electrical conductivity, F?, Cd, U, Zn, Al, Mn, As, Ca, SO4 2?, Pb, 238U, 226Ra, 210Pb, 232Th, 228Ra, and Mo in waters downstream of both pond discharge sites. It was demonstrated that the disequilibrium between 226Ra and 238U can be used to trace the extent of AMD impacts in nearby streams. Variations in 18O and 2H enabled the flow of mining-impacted water to be traced from the ponds to nearby streams. Multivariate analysis yielded a three-factor model: Factor 1 was interpreted as being associated with AMD (from WRP#4) and Factor 2 with a Ca–Mo relationship associated with the chemical constitution of the ore and with the treatment of tailings wastes in the area (from TD); Factor 3 was interpreted as being associated with the natural influence of geogenic processes on water quality in the area. The results of this study provide a scientific basis for recommending appropriate remedial actions during mine decommissioning.  相似文献

In this work we have studied the geochemistry of stream waters arising from waste dumps at the Peña de Hierro mine (Iberian Pyrite Belt, SW Spain), and we have correlated them with the mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the wastes to asses the source and factors affecting the release of trace elements. The mineralogical composition and geochemistry of 58 borehole samples of waste dumps were studied in the <2 mm fraction. Twenty-eight water samples collected in winter and summer from streams emerging from the waste dumps were analysed for pH, Eh, conductivity, temperature, sulphates and major and trace elements. The leachates from pyrite-rich volcanic tuffs produced very acidic waters, usually with pHs below 2 and reaching values as low as 0.7. The partial dissolution of gossan, which is mainly composed of Fe oxy-hydroxides and is rich in trace elements, released high concentrations of Fetot (up to 33 g/L), As (up to 72), Mo (up to 11 mg/L). On the other hand Cd, Zn and Pb reached up to 0.85, 142 and 0.42 mg/L, respectively, in the stream arising from roasted pyrite ashes and other pyritic wastes. Several elements such as Al, Fe, As, Co, Cu and Mo were strongly correlated with the pH, but Cd and Zn were not correlated under such acidic conditions. The precipitation of jarosite seems to be an important factor in the retention of Pb. The mobility sequence of trace elements shows that Co, Zn and Cd were among the most mobile elements; Cu, As and Mo had intermediate mobility, and Pb was the most immobile. This work shows that uncontrolled waste dumping increases the pollution potential, and a selective management could reduce the release of trace elements into stream waters and mitigate the contamination.  相似文献

The major ion and trace element chemistry in four 60-110 cm deep snow pits was examined from three Antarctic Taylor Valley glaciers (Commonwealth, Canada and Howard), all located within 20 km of the Ross Sea. Taylor Valley (TV) (77°30′S, 163°15′E) is part of the McMurdo Dry Valleys (MDV), the largest ice-free area in Antarctica. Snow chemistry of these glaciers is strongly influenced by cross-valley (SW-NE and NE-SW) winds that deposit eolian materials, including mineral dust and soluble salts. Arsenic, Cd, Cu, Mo, Pb, Sb and Sn in recent TV glacier snow are almost exclusively derived from eolian dust. The relative magnitude of element variations with depth relate to the exposure of snow sites to prevalent winds. Eolian deposition is a primary source of these elements to Canada Glacier snow and supra and proglacial streams. Eolian processes are likely very important to the delivery and availability of nutrients and, potentially toxic elements to dry valley Antarctic ecosystems.  相似文献

砷在天然环境中的迁移富集与氧化还原状态密切相关.盆地环境地下水中砷的活化迁移机制主要为沉积物中铁/锰氢氧化物由氧化还原条件变化导致发生还原性溶解进而释放吸附在其表面的砷.钼及钼同位素为氧化还原环境的重要指示参数, 且铁/锰氢氧化物对钼同位素分馏有着重要的控制作用.将地下水的钼同位素应用于砷的活化迁移规律研究.大同盆地地下水中钼同位素比值(δ98Mo)范围为-0.12‰~+2.17‰, 相比于淡水中钼同位素组成偏重.桑干河河水的δ98Mo为+0.72‰, 与文献报道的河水平均钼同位素比值+0.7‰相当.大同盆地地下水中δ98Mo与硫化物之间存在正相关关系, 表明Mo-Fe-S复合物可能形成于特定条件下, 并优先利用水溶液中轻的钼使地下水中δ98Mo比值升高.砷浓度与钼浓度之间的微弱负相关以及砷浓度与钼同位素之间的正相关说明, Mo-Fe-S的形成过程可能与同环境中As-Fe-S的复合物的形成存在竞争关系, 进而使得地下水中砷富集.地下水中相对偏高的δ98Mo可能来源于铁的氢氧化物对溶液中轻的钼的吸附速率高于先前吸附在铁的氢氧化物的钼的释放, 且铁的氢氧化物对水溶液中钼的再吸附这一循环过程会导致地下水中钼浓度降低及钼同位素比值的升高.钼同位素指示的循环性的铁的氢氧化物的还原溶解及再氧化过程对砷的富集也有重要影响.   相似文献

This paper presents the results of measurements of the Mo isotopic composition in the bottom sediments (BS) of freshwater basins. Mo isotopic ratios were measured using a multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (MC ICP MS). Efficient methods were used in this study for Mo separation from the elements of the sample matrix and correction for instrumental mass discrimination. This allowed us to achieve a high accuracy of 0.06, 0.08, and 0.14‰ (2 σ) for the measurement of 97Mo/95Mo, 98Mo/95Mo, and 100Mo/95Mo, respectively. The range of variations in Mo isotope ratios observed in the collected BS columns was ~2.2‰ in terms of δ97Mo/95Mo. The results obtained here suggest that geochemical processes occurring during Mo migration with land water can change the isotopic composition of Mo. It is pointed out that the potential use of Mo isotopic systematics for reconstructions of redox conditions in seawater over the geologic past requires the quantification of isotopic effects of Mo accompanying its migration on land and the extent of possible variations in the isotopic composition of Mo entering the ocean.  相似文献

与岩浆成因相关的钼矿床成岩-成矿时差是确定矿床与岩浆岩成因关系的重要基础.本文根据收集的中国东部中生代典型钼矿床的成矿及相关岩体的同位素测年数据,详细讨论并定量厘定了钼矿的成岩-成矿时差分布特征.结果表明,钼矿成矿同步或略滞后于同源岩浆活动,中国东部整个钼矿成矿高峰的两个阶段时差介于0~10.0 Ma和0~15.0 Ma;对于单个钼矿床,其成岩-成矿时差集中在0~14.0 Ma,均值为3.9 Ma;从斑岩型钼矿床→斑岩-矽卡岩型钼矿床→矽卡岩型钼矿床→石英脉型钼矿床,成岩-成矿时差呈逐渐增加趋势,这与岩浆热液成矿过程的地质事实吻合.  相似文献

Numerous molybdenum (Mo) ore deposits have been discovered in the East Xingmeng orogenic belt (East Central Asian orogenic belt), over the past 10 years, and this region is becoming one of the world's most important Mo production areas. It contains 6.18 Mt of proven Mo metal reserves, which accounts for 30% of the total proven Chinese Mo reserves. The ore district includes 37 deposits and 15 occurrences, with three major Mo ore types, that is porphyries, skarns, and hydrothermal veins. The latter can be subdivided into quartz- and volcanic hydrothermal-vein types. With the exception of the Ordovician Duobaoshan porphyry Cu–Mo deposit (477 Ma), all the East Xingmeng Mo deposits formed during the Mesozoic. Re–Os dating of molybdenite has documented three episodes of Mo mineralization: Early Triassic (248–242 Ma), Jurassic (178–146 Ma), and Early Cretaceous (142–131 Ma). Early Triassic Mo deposits are distributed along the northern margin fault of the North China Craton (NCC) and include porphyry and quartz vein types. They are characterized by the association of Mo + Cu. Jurassic Mo deposits are mainly distributed in the eastern area and include porphyry, quartz vein, and skarn types. They are typified by Mo alone and/or the association of Mo, Pb, and Zn. Cretaceous Mo deposits are distributed in all areas and include porphyry and volcanic hydrothermal vein types. Similar to the Jurassic ores, they are simple Mo or Mo + Pb + Zn deposits. Volcanic hydrothermal vein deposits are characterized by an association of molybdenum and uranium. The Triassic Mo deposits formed in a syn-collision setting between the Siberian and North China plates. The Jurassic Mo deposits formed in a compressional setting, which was probably triggered by the westward subduction of the palaeo-Pacific plate. The Early Cretaceous Mo deposits are linked to a tectonic regime of lithosphere thinning, which was caused by delamination of thickened lithosphere. However, the Mo deposits in the Erguna terrane of the northwest Xingmeng orogenic belt may be related to the evolution of the Okhotsk Ocean.  相似文献

Aras water basin is located in northwest of Iran. Sungun mine which is the largest open-cast copper mine of Iran is located in this region and is in the primary stages of extraction. The influence of mining activity on the quality of regional surface water has been taken in to consideration in this study. Accordingly, sampling was done from 5 local streams in the study area. In order to consider the effect of flow quantity on the amount of different parameters, sampling was done in July and November 2005 when the local streams had the minimum and maximum flow rate respectively. The concentrations of major anions and cations as well as As, Mo, Al, Cu, Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn and Zn were determined. The results showed that the concentrations of metallic ions like aluminum, chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum and iron in samples collected in July are above USEPA (Environmental Protection Agency) limits; however, mentioned concentrations are lessened remarkably in the samples collected in November. This fact is justified considering dilution of ions concentration via more amount of water in November. The chemical characteristics of water compositions on the basis of major ion concentrations were evaluated on a Schoeller and Piper diagram. Accordingly, the dominant type of water in July and November is considered to be Ca-HCO3 (calcium-bicarbonate type). Regarding Schoeller diagram, despite relatively high concentration of calcium, the current status of local surface water is acceptable for drinking purposes. By commencing mining excavation with designed capacity in near future, the minerals will come in to contact with air and water resulting in dissolution, especially in ponds, which, in turn, increases the concentration of heavy metals in surface water. Considering consequent uses of this water including drinking, irrigation, industrial, etc. precautions must be taken in to consideration.  相似文献

东秦岭地区发现了两种新型的钼矿床——花岗岩型钼矿床和石英脉状钼矿床。花岗岩型钼矿床矿体赋存于花岗岩中,石英脉型钼矿与石英脉关系密切,矿体分布在石英脉的上下部流纹岩中,前者成矿与燕山期花岗岩热液有关,而后者是否是燕山期花岗岩热液的产物还有待进一步研究。两种类型钼矿床中的辉钼矿与石墨关系密切。  相似文献

岩溶地区含水介质的多重性和高度复杂性,给地下河系统的水资源量评价带来许多难题。在分析地下河系统水资源形成、分布和运移特征基础上,认为目前用于地下水评价的主要方法都不太适用来解决地下河系统水资源量的评价和预测问题。作者在比较地下河与地表水多方面的相似性后,建议引入现代水文学的理论方法和模型来解决岩溶地区地下河系统水资源评价问题,并分析了可能需要解决的若干关键问题。针对岩溶水资源的特征,作者认为,改变传统定量评价的思维、引进现代水文学理论方法和充分利用3S技术,是解决地下河系统水资源定量评价的主要出路。   相似文献

本文首次对内蒙古中西部白乃庙铜-钼-金矿床、大苏计钼矿床、西沙德盖钼矿床、柳坝沟金-钼矿床、哈达门沟金-钼矿床、查干花钼-钨矿床和流沙山钼-金矿床的产出环境、地质特征、成因类型和时空分布特点进行了简要总结,对成矿作用与构造-岩浆活动的关系进行了概略性论述。柳坝沟、哈达门沟和白乃庙矿床均在前寒武纪变质岩地层中产出,大苏计、查干花、西沙德盖和流沙山矿床直接产于海西-印支期中酸性侵入岩中,尽管上述矿床在产出环境和地理位置上存在有一定差别,但是它们均与花岗岩类侵入岩体(或岩脉)具有密切的空间分布关系,属与中酸性侵入岩有关的钼多金属矿床。另外,根据矿床(点)的空间分布特点,可划分出5个钼多金属矿化集中区:即大苏计-明星沟钼矿化集中区、白乃庙-谷那乌苏铜-钼-金矿化集中区、哈达门沟-沙德盖金-钼矿化集中区、马尼图-查干花钼-铋-钨矿化集中区和流沙山-黑鹰山钼-金-铁矿化集中区。研究结果表明,成矿作用与板块消减、碰撞和缝合过程中所诱发的构造-岩浆事件密切相关,是地壳特定演化阶段构造-岩浆活动的产物。  相似文献

随着表面热离子质谱(TIMS)和多接收器电感耦合等离子体质谱(MC-ICP-MS)的广泛应用以及同位素分析方法的改进,近10年来非传统稳定同位素(Cu、Zn、Fe、Se、Mo、Cr、Hg等)的研究得到迅速发展.其中,由于Mo同位素的分馏明显受氧化还原条件的控制,使其在指示古环境及古气候的变化方面有独特的地球化学指示意义.同时,Mo同位素在指示成矿物质来源和海洋Mo循环等方面也取得较大成果.因此,Mo同位素地球化学研究已成为国际地学领域的一个前沿和热点.本文综合前人的研究成果,结合近期自己的工作,论述了Mo同位素地球化学研究领域的一些重要进展,详细介绍了Mo同位素的化学分离、提纯和质谱分析技术,并对其应用前景进行了展望.  相似文献

吉林省中部地区钼矿资源丰富,已经开采的大黑山钼矿、福安堡钼矿和四方甸子钼矿的经济效益好,产品价格稳定。矿产品主要销往国内各大冶炼厂,产品供不应求。后倒木钼矿区的地质勘查工作的展开,为二所钼矿储量增加又上了一个台阶。经过投入大量的人力物力,经过四年努力查清了后倒木钼矿的地质特征,提交了一处中型矿产地。  相似文献

斑岩型钼矿床的形成机制与地球化学过程   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
斑岩型钼矿床是世界钼矿床中最重要的种类,其中90%以上的钼矿床都和斑岩有关。斑岩型钼矿床主要分布于环太平洋成矿带和特提斯成矿带上,主要与板块俯冲过程有关,可以分为斑岩铜钼矿床、高氟型斑岩钼矿床和低氟型斑岩钼矿床。我们通过对全球斑岩型钼矿床的时空分布与钼元素地球化学性质分析,认为斑岩型钼矿床的物质来源是钼元素通过表生地球化学作用进行初始富集后形成的富钼沉积物。新元古代晚期(750~542Ma)大气氧再次升高之后,富钼的黑色页岩等才大量出现,因此斑岩型钼矿床主要形成于500Ma之后。富钼黑色页岩等沉积物在板块俯冲过程中脱水,形成富含Mo和Re的变质流体,同时两者发生分异。这种变质流体交代上覆地幔楔使Mo和Re留存在其中。随着俯冲洋壳的部分熔融,形成富Cu(Au)的岩浆,穿过富含Re(Mo)的上覆地幔楔,形成斑岩型铜钼矿床,因此这类矿床的辉钼矿Re含量更高。而随后出现的板块后撤,使软流圈上涌,板片上大量多硅白云母分解,形成了富含F的岩浆,穿过富含Mo的上覆地幔楔,进而形成高氟型斑岩矿床。低氟型钼矿床很可能与俯冲关系较小,富钼沉积物通过造山过程被深埋,在适当的条件下形成低氟型斑岩钼矿床。  相似文献
