Based on 24 high-resolution echelle spectrograms of the Wolf-Rayet star HD 192163 taken in 2005–2007 at the Cassegrain focus of the 2-m Zeiss-2000 telescope at the Shemakha Astrophysical Observatory (National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan), we have investigated the profiles of five emission lines: He II 4859, He II 5411, CIV 5808, He I 5875, (He II + Hα) 6560. We have analyzed the echelle spectrograms using the DECH20 code. Various emission line parameters have been determined: the equivalent widths, radial velocities, central intensities, and FWHMs. The violet wing of the He II + Hα emission band has been found to be variable (from 6496 Å to 6532 Å). Significant differences in the equivalent widths and radial velocities of the He II + Hα emission band in 2005 and 2007 were revealed. This can be a manifestation of long-term variations in the star HD 192163. We have confirmed that HD 192163 belongs to the WN6 spectral subtype.  相似文献

Using the high-resolution spectra obtained at the 6-meter telescope of the SAO RAS over 2002–2013, we studied the spectral features of the lines of interstellar medium. The radial velocities of the Na I 5890 Å, Na I 5896 Å, Ca II 3934 Å and Ca II 3968 Å absorption lines were analyzed. Seven diffuse interstellar bands 4964, 5780, 5797, 6196, 6203, 6379 Å were identified in the optical spectrum of IRAS01005+7910. Radial velocities Vr and equivalent widths Wλ of these DIBs were measured, for which the values of the interstellar reddening EB?V and column density of neutral hydrogen log [N(H)] were calculated.  相似文献

We present our synchronous spectroscopy and photometry of DI Cep, a classical T Tauri star. The equivalent widths and radial velocities of the individual components and Hα, Hβ, D1 and D2 Na I, and HeI λ5876 Å emission line profiles exhibit variability. We have found a clear positive correlation between the brightness and equivalent width for the Hα and Hβ emission lines. The photometric and spectroscopic data are satisfactorily described in phases of a 9-day period. The expected magnetic field of the star has been estimated using existing magnetospheric models to be 655–1000 G. The star is suspected to be a binary.  相似文献

Investigation of 38 Zeeman spectrograms of the Be star EW Lac obtained in three successive years, 1978, 1979, and 1980, yield no hints at the occurrence of a global magnetic field larger than 150 Gauß. The temporal variations of the radial velocities of the Balmer and metallic absorption lines indicate a disturbance travelling through the envelope of EW Lac from the inner to the outer parts. The observed variations of the line widths and equivalent widths of the metallic lines suggest that the physical parameters remarkable change. These results together with the measured variations of the radial velocity and intensity of the emission features of Hβ can be explained by a thick elliptical ring surrounding EW Lac.  相似文献

The T Tauri variable V1331 Cyg is characterized by an intensive emission spectrum, by signatures of a high rate of mass loss, and also by presence of a circular reflection nebula. According to these characteristics, the star can be considered as a possible pre-FUor star. Up to the present the photospheric spectrum of the star has not been recorded. In this work we analyze the high-resolution spectra of V1331 Cyg that were obtained by G.H. Herbig with the HIRES spectrograph at the Keck-1 telescope in 2004 and 2007. For the first time the numerous photospheric lines of the star have been detected and the spectral class has been estimated, viz., G7-K0 IV. It is revealed that the projection of the rotation velocity is lower than the width of instrumental profile (vsini < 6 km/s); this means that the angle between the stellar axis of rotation and the line of sight is small. The radial velocity of the star derived from the photospheric lines is RV = ?15.0 ± 0.3 km/s. The difference in radial velocities for 2004 and 2007 is lower than the measurement error. The photospheric spectrum is veiled considerably, but the amount of veiling is not the same in different lines. This depends on the line strength in the template spectrum of the G7 IV star: in the weakest lines (EW = 5–10 mÅ in the template spectrum) VF ≈ 1 and it increases up to 4–5 in stronger lines. The Hα and Hβ lines demonstrate classical P Cyg profiles, which testifies to an intensive wind with a maximal velocity of about 400 km/s. In addition, the emission lines of Fe II, Mg I and K I and of several other elements are accompanied by a narrow blue-shifted absorption at ?150...?250 km/s. The emission spectrum of V1331 Cyg is rich in the narrow (FWHM = 30–50 km/s) lines of neutral and ionized metals showing the excitation temperature T exc = 3800 ± 300 K. The stellar mass M* ≈ 2.8M and radius R* ≈ 5R are estimated.  相似文献

Almost simultaneous height sequences of 69 spicules in the Hα line have been studied. The spectra are obtained at six heights during 6 s on the east side of the solar disk with the 53-cm Lyot coronagraph of Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory. Radial velocities V r, total intensities or equivalent widths W, full widths at half maximum of intensity (FWHM) at all heights are determined (about 300 profiles of the Hα line). It is found that:
  1. Absolute values of radial velocities increase linearly with the height (see Equation (1));
  2. variation of the sign of the radial velocity along single spicules was never observed.
These results combined with the findings on the spicules radial velocities and shifts obtained earlier (Kulidzanishvili and Nikolsky, 1978; Nikolsky and Platova, 1970) led us to the conclusion that the 5-min tangential oscillations of spicules involve the entire spicule at once. The intensity height scales for single spicules and for the chromosphere ‘in toto’ are determined; they turned out to be 2.5 × 103 km and 1.9 × 103 km respectively (see Equations (2) and (3)). The dependence curve of the Hα line half-widths Δλ on the height h is drawn. The Hα line half-width for those spicule groups which are traced at all heights (10 spicules) decreases with the height (Figure 4); for the majority (~60 spicules) it remains essentially constant. Non-thermal ‘turbulent’ velocities V t, in Hα spicules are defined. A mean value of the ‘turbulent’ velocity V t at T = 6000° appeared to be 20–30km s?1. The hydrogen concentration in the spicules at 5000 km is 6 × 1011 cm?3.  相似文献

We present a spectroscopic study of Mg II k&h emission lines in the 2000–3000 Å region of 91 high resolution IUE spectra of α Orionis obtained during the period 1978–1996. There are absorption and emission components on the blue sides of the k&h emission lines, these components may be coming from the dust envelope located inside the extended atmosphere of α Orionis. A set of 91 Mg II k&h emission lines have been identified and measured to determine their fluxes and widths. We found that there is a spectral variability for these physical parameters with phase, similar to that found for the light curve, which we attribute to the changes of density and temperature of the regions from which these emission lines are coming, as a result of the semi-regular pulsation and the variability of mass loss of the red supergiant.Also we present a study of C II and Fe II emission features in the 2000–3000 Å region of 55 high resolution IUE spectra during the period 1978–1996. A set of 55 C II and Fe II emission lines have been identified and measured to determine their fluxes and widths. We found the same result as with the Mg II emission lines.  相似文献

A dual étalon Fabry‐Pérot spectrometer called DEFPOS has been used for observing physical properties of HII regions and planetary nebulae since May 2007 (Aksaker et al. 2009, 2011; Şahan et al. 2009; Şahan 2011). In this study, the Hα measurements of the HII region NGC 1499 (California Nebula) have been investigated with a 4′ circular field of view over a 200 km s–1 (4.4 Å) spectral window. These measurements provide information about the densities, line widths, and radial velocities of the surrounding NGC 1499 nebula. The intensities, the radial velocities and the line widths of the Hα emission line vary from 397.75 R to 1044.14 R, –4.88 km s–1 to –1.02 km s–1, and 36.72 km s–1 to 42.81 km s–1, respectively (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Two CCD spectra of the star BM Ori were obtained with the echelle spectrograph of the 6-m telescope. In one of the spectra, a large proportion of lines are distorted by emission. The emission component is blueshifted by 50 km s?1, suggesting hot-gas outflow from the atmosphere. The equivalent-width ratio of measured lines in the spectra outside and during eclipse is consistent with the assumption that ~2/3 of the primary star’s area is obscured during eclipse, as follows from light curves. Measured line equivalent widths were used to estimate atmospheric parameters of the secondary star, T eff=7300 K, log g=5.2, and microturbulence ξt=6 km s?1, and to determine its chemical composition. The C, Na, Al, Si, S, Ca, Fe, Ni, and Zn abundances are solar, within the error limits. Li, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co, and Y are overabundant, while Mg, Cu, and Ba are underabundant. In general, the secondary is similar in chemical composition to the star V 1016 Ori. Based on the secondary’s mass determined by solving the radial-velocity curve and on log g estimated spectroscopically from iron ionization equilibrium, we calculated its photospheric radius, R 2 = 0.5R . However, the spectroscopic log g=5.2 disagrees with log g=3.5 calculated from the luminosity and effective temperature and with log g=3.0 calculated from light and radial-velocity curves. If the secondary’s photospheric radius is indeed small; this argues for the hypothesis that the eclipsing body is a dust envelope. The radial velocities measured from the two spectra are systematically higher than those calculated from the radial-velocity curve by +34 and +24 km s?1. It is likely that the secondary’s atmosphere occasionally shrinks.  相似文献

Coronal interferograms in the lines of Fe xiv 5303 Å, He i 5876 Å and Fe x 6374 Å were obtained during the total solar eclipse of 10 July, 1972 (see Figure 2). He i emission was found in the chromosphere only. The upper limit of the D3 equivalent width in terms of the coronal continuous background is 0.013 Å in the inner corona (r=1.15 R⊙). The λ6374 negative was taken with low contrast. The half width of 16374 is 1.0–1.08 Å for a limited area of the corona (P=88?104°, r=1.30?1.44 R⊙). A detailed photometry of the 5303 Å line was carried out and the behaviour of the half widths and equivalent widths were studied in different regions of the corona. The half width of λ5303 increases with distance from the Sun's center in almost all the studied regions (1.2 R⊙ ? r ? 1.7 R⊙). This increase corresponds to an increase of the non-thermal velocities with a gradient of 1–2 km s-1 per 0.1 R⊙. The equivalent widths, expressed in the coronal continuous background intensity remain constant on the average.  相似文献

We present the optical observations of the AM Herculis system EU UMa (=RE1149+28) carried out in February 1993 with a TV scanner and a photometer (NEPh) at the secondary focus of the 6-m Special Astrophysical Observatory telescope. Spectroscopy with a time resolution of 300 s and a spectral resolution of 2 Å in the wavelength range ≈3950–4950 Å is used to analyze the variability of emission-line profiles, equivalent widths, central intensities Rc, and radial velocities with orbital phase. We determined the orbital period of the system from line radial-velocity measurements, 90.0±0.2 min. The emission-line profiles are highly variable. The Hβ and He II 4686 Å lines exhibit P Cyg profiles at selected phases. The spectral-line parameters were found to vary significantly on time scales from 5 to 15 min. The possible causes of the detected spectroscopic variability are discussed.  相似文献

The results of investigations of the Hα and Hβ lines in the spectrum of the star HD 206267 are presented. Observations were carried out in 2011–2014 at the Cassegrain focus of the 2-m telescope of the Tusi Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan using an echelle spectrometer. The following features have been revealed for the first time: the moving discrete absorption components in the core of the Hα line from the red side to the violet, the stable emission in the violet wing of the Hα line, the antiphase variation of the radial velocities and equivalent widths of the Hα line, and the independence of the changes of the equivalent widths of the Hβ line from the phase of the orbital period. No spectral features according to which this star could be considered as a source of X-ray radiation have been found.  相似文献

The results of spectroscopic observations of the star RY Tau in the ultraviolet based on IUE data and in the visual spectral range obtained at ShAO are presented. Despite significant brightness variability in 1983–1984, the Mg II λ2800 Å emission doublet showed no synchronous variation with the UBV photometric data. Periodic variability of the Mg II λ2800 Å emission intensity with a period of 23 days has been detected for the first time. The periodicity is also observed for a group of such lines as CIV λ1450 Å, He II λ1640 Å, and S II λ1756 Å. The equivalent widths and shifts of the individual components of the Hα, H + H ε , and CaII K lines also vary with the period found. The observed variability of the emission spectrum can be explained by the existence of a companion in the system in an orbit with a semimajor axis of about 0.13 AU.  相似文献

Optical spectra taken in 1997–2008 are used to analyze the spectral peculiarities and velocity field in the atmosphere of the peculiar supergiant 3 Pup. The profiles of strong Fe II lines and of the lines of other iron-group ions have a specific shape: the wings are raised by emissions, whereas the core is sharpened by a depression. The latter feature becomes more pronounced with the increasing line strength, and the increasing wavelength. Line profiles are variable: the magnitude and sign of the absorption asymmetry, and the blue-to-red emission intensity ratios vary from one spectrum to another. The temporal Vr variations are minimal for the forbidden emissions and sharp shell cores of the absorption features of FeII(42), and other strong lines of iron-group ions. The average velocity for the above lines can be adopted as the systemic velocity: Vsys = 28.5 ± 0.5 km/s. The weakest photospheric absorptions and photospheric MgII, Si II absorptions exhibit well-defined day-to-day velocity variations of up to 7 km/s. Quantitative spectral classification yields the spectral type of A2.7±0.3 Ib. The equivalent widths and profiles of Hδ and Hγ, and the equivalent width of the OI 7774 Å triplet yield an absolute magnitude estimate of Mv=?5.5m ± 0.3m, implying the heliocentric distance of 0.7 kpc.  相似文献

We determine abundances from the absorption spectrum of the magnetic Herbig Ae star HD 190073 (V1295 Aql). The observations are primarily from HARPS spectra obtained at a single epoch. We accept arguments that the presence of numerous emission lines does not vitiate a classical abundance analysis, though it likely reduces the achievable accuracy. Most abundances are closely solar, but several elements show departures of a factor of two to three, as an earlier study has also shown. We present quantitative measurements of more than 60 emission lines, peak intensities, equivalent widths, and FWHM's. The latter range from over 200 km s–1(Hα, He D3) down to 10–20 km s–1(forbidden lines). Metallic emission lines have intermediate widths. We eschew modeling, and content ourselves with a presentation of the observations a successful model must explain. Low‐excitation features such as the Na I D‐lines and [O I] appear with He I D3, suggesting proximate regions with widely differing Te and Ne as found in the solar chromosphere. High-resolution optical spectroscopy of the V2324 Cyg variable star associated with the IR source IRAS 20572+4919 is performed for the first time. More than 200 absorption features (mostly Fe II, Ti II, Cr II, Y II, Ba II, and Y II) are identified in the wavelength interval from 4549 to 7880 Å. The spectral type and rotation velocity of the star are found to be F0 III and V sin i = 69 km/s, respectively. Neutral-hydrogen and NaI D lines have complex P Cyg-type profiles. Neither systematic trend of radial velocity Vr with line depth Ro nor temporal variability of Vr have been found. We found that the value for the average heliocentric radial velocity is Vr = ?16.8 ± 0.6 km/s. The radial velocities inferred from the cores of the absorption components of the Hβ and NaI wind lines vary from ?140 to ?225 km/s (and the expansion velocities of the corresponding layers, from about 120 to 210 km/s). The maximum expansion velocity is found for the blue component of the split Hα absorption: 450 km/s for December 12, 1995. The method of model atmospheres is used to determine the following parameters of the star: effective temperature T eff = 7500 K, surface gravity log g = 2.0, microturbulence velocity ξ t = 6.0 km/s, and metallicity, which is equal to the solar value. The main peculiarity of the chemical composition of the star is the overabundance of lithium and sodium. The results cast some doubt on the classification of V2324 Cyg as a post-AGB star.  相似文献

Axial rotation of a star plays an important role in its evolution, physical conditions in its atmosphere, and appearance of its spectrum. We have analyzed CCD spectra of three stars for which their projected rotational velocity remarkably differs when derived from the Ca II λ 3933 Å and MgII λ 4481 Å lines. We derived effective temperatures and surface gravities using published uvbyβ photometries and computed synthetic spectra. Comparing observed line profiles of the two lines with the computed ones, we estimated values of v sin i. We also derived radial velocities by means of the cross-correlation function. HD8837 is known to be a shell star with pronounced narrow absorption cores in the Balmer lines as well as in the strong metal lines; however, we do not confirm the emission component in the core of Hβ. HD47964 has been discovered by Hipparcos to be a double. However, in our spectra we do not find traces of the other star. Based on the Hipparcos data, we estimated that the other star would be a main sequence A4 star with an extremely high rotational velocity resulting in wiping out any traces of spectral lines of the companion. HD183986 is known to be a triple star. However, we have found a manifestation of a so far not discovered companion of the component HD183986A and estimated it as a main sequence A5 star having v sin i of about 150 km/s.  相似文献

Based on RATAN-600 21-cm line observations with an angular resolution of 2.4′ over a wide range of radial velocities, we analyze the neutral-hydrogen distribution in the region of the SNR G78.2+2.1. In addition to an H I shell at low radial velocities immediately surrounding the radio remnant, we detected an extended expanding H I shell, ≈3° in diameter, at a radial velocity of ?25 km s?1, which closely coincides in coordinates and angular sizes with the outer X-ray shell discovered by Lozinskaya et al. (2000). The Hα emission studied by these authors in the SNR region also has a secondary peak at radial velocities from ?45 to ?20 km s?1. Since the radial velocities of these two objects differ significantly, their distances can be assumed to differ as well; i.e., a chance projection of two distinct objects is observed.  相似文献

The hydrogen Balmer‐α emission line spectrum of ten diffuse ionization sources in the Milk Way – NGC 40 (WC8), NGC 2022, NGC 6210, NGC 6618 (M17, Sh2‐45), NGC 6720 (M57), NGC 6781, NGC 6888 (Sh2‐105), NGC 6992 (Sh2‐103), NGC 7635 (Sh2‐162,) and IC 1848 (Sh2‐199) – has been investigated using a dual etalon Fabry‐Pérot optical spectrometer (DEFPOS) aatached to the 150 cm RTT150 telescope at TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG, Antalya, Turkey: 36° 51′ N; 30° 20′ E; elevation: 2547 m). All of our galactic Hα observations discussed in this paper were carried out during the nights of 2013 June 21–24 with exposure time of 3600 s. As main results the intensity, the full width at half maximum, and the radial velocity with respect to the LSR have been determined for each data set. The intensities, the radial velocities, and the line widths of the Hα emission line vary from 59.15 to 8923.44 R, –46.72 to +54.07 km s–1, and 31.4 to 48.01 km s–1, respectively. The radial velocities and the half‐widths of the Hii regions and planetary nebulae determined from our measurements are found tobe consistent with values given in literature, especially with those in Schneider et al. The optical spectrum of the post-AGB star HD56126 identified with the infrared source IRAS07134+1005 is studied in detail using high spectral resolution observations (R = 25000 and 60000) performed with the echelle spectrographs of the 6-m telescope. A total of about one and a half thousand absorptions of neutral atoms and ions, absorption bands of C2, CN, and CH molecules, and interstellar bands (DIBs) are identified in the 4012 to 8790 Å Å wavelength interval, and the depths and radial velocities of these spectral features are measured. Differences are revealed between the variations of the radial velocities measured from spectral features of different excitation. In addition to the well-known variability of the Hα profile, we found variations in the profiles of a number of FeII, YII, and BaII lines. We also produce an atlas of the spectrum of HD56126 and its comparison star α Per.
