Network Density and the Delimitation of Urban Areas   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
This paper examines network analysis for urban areas. The research is focused on the problem of definition and visualisation of network geography and network spaces at different scales. The urban scale of analysis is examined and different spatial indices are considered. The built environment of the city is considered as a reference environment for a road network density index. The latter is implemented in order to study the spatial interactions between network phenomena and spaces and to provide further elements for the analysis of urban shape. The study is focused in particular on understanding spatial patterns drawn by networks and in helping with the delimitation of city centres. Different approaches are used to obtain the two indices: a grid–based analysis and a spatial density estimator based on Kernel Density Estimation. The two methodologies are analysed and compared using point data for the urban road network junctions and street numbers as house location identifiers in the Trieste (Italy) Municipality area. The density analysis is also used on road network junctions' data for the city of Swindon (UK) in order to test the methodology on a different urban area.  相似文献

同位模式挖掘是空间数据挖掘的热点问题之一,应用领域广泛。已有的同位模式挖掘方法一般采用统计或数据挖掘的方式,要求对复杂的数学公式、算法及相关参数等有深刻的理解,主要针对同质的欧式空间中地理现象。而城市空间中人为地理现象大多发生在网络空间,鉴于此,本文提出了一种网络空间同位模式可视化挖掘方法。该方法利用视觉语言表达网络空间现象之间的影响和交互作用。首先,利用网络空间核密度估计表达网络空间现象的分布情况和影响范围,为网络空间现象的同位模式挖掘提供支持,并建立单个地理现象分布情况与颜色之间的映射;然后基于色光加色混合原理获得两个地理现象相互影响的认知,借以挖掘空间同位模式。本文提出的方法属于形象思维,具有直观,形象和易感受等特点。  相似文献

The flaws of using traditional planar point‐pattern analysis techniques with network constrained points have been thoroughly explored in the literature. Because of this, new network‐based measures have been introduced for their planar analogues, including the network based K‐function. These new measures involve the calculation of network distances between point events rather than traditional Euclidean distances. Some have suggested that the underlying structure of a network, such as whether it includes directional constraints or speed limits, may be considered when applying these methods. How different network structures might affect the results of the network spatial statistics is not well understood. This article examines the results of network K‐functions when taking into consideration network distances for three different types of networks: the original road network, topologically correct networks, and directionally constrained networks. For this aim, four scenarios using road networks from Tampa, Florida and New York City, New York were used to test how network constraints affected the network K‐function. Depending on which network is under consideration, the underlying network structure could impact the interpretation. In particular, directional constraints showed reduced clustering across the different scenarios. Caution should be used when selecting the road network, and constraints, for a network K‐function analysis.  相似文献

探究道路网络与经济活动的空间关系对城市科学规划有促进作用。采用多中心评价模型测度武汉市路网情况,并结合核密度估计法和地理加权回归法探究武汉市路网多中心和经济活动多中心的空间分布情况及其相关关系。研究表明:武汉市路网和经济活动分布整体呈现出多中心分布形态;武汉市路网多中心与经济活动多中心存在较强的关联性,且其相关程度存在空间异质性,建议考虑要素空间差异进行科学规划。  相似文献

城市中心区等空间范围是城市研究中必须面对的基本问题。由于社会经济要素集聚的相对性和过渡性,城市中心区的位置和界线范围通常是不明确的,只有一个大致的范围,缺乏一个简单的确定方法。依据市政公用设施、地价、交通量等统计数据及其空间分布确定城市范围的传统方法工作量大、欠缺可比性。本研究以广州市城市道路网为数据基础,利用ArcGIS空间分析的密度分析方法圈定并验证了广州市城市中心区的边界范围。  相似文献

获取现势性的交通道路数据是数字城市和智慧城市建设的基础,基于传统测绘的道路网更新方法存在一定局限性,而基于众源数据及行车轨迹数据更新道路网近年来则倍受关注。首先提出了一种新的道路变化增量更新方法,该方法先对历史道路网建立面拓扑结构,生成由道路网组成的最小闭合面域(道路网眼);然后以道路网眼为基本控制单元,综合利用轨迹点上下文距离信息和隐马尔可夫模型(hidden Markov model,HMM),提取失配轨迹点和失配轨迹段;最后采用缓冲区分析和最大密度法对失配轨迹提取骨架线,创建新增道路,增量更新历史道路网。实验结果表明,以道路网眼为控制单元,利用轨迹点上下文距离分析和HMM捕获失配轨迹点,可提高失配轨迹点的提取效率,改善道路网更新效果。该方法可用于大规模路网的增量式更新。  相似文献

The SANET Toolbox: New Methods for Network Spatial Analysis   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
This paper describes new methods, called network spatial methods, for analyzing spatial phenomena that occur on a network or alongside a network (referred to as network spatial phenomena). First, the paper reviews network spatial phenomena discussed in the related literature. Second, the paper shows the uniform network transformation, which is used in the study of non‐uniform distributions on a network, such as the densities of traffic and population. Third, the paper outlines a class of network spatial methods, including nearest neighbor distance methods, K‐function methods, cell count methods, clumping methods, the Voronoi diagrams and spatial interpolation methods. Fourth, the paper shows three commonly used computational methods to facilitate network spatial analysis. Fifth, the paper describes the functions of a GIS‐based software package, called SANET, that perform network spatial methods. Sixth, the paper compares network spatial methods with the corresponding planar spatial methods by applying both methods to the same data set. This comparison clearly demonstrates how different conclusions can result. The conclusion summarizes the major findings.  相似文献

Introducing Clifford algebra as the mathematical foundation, a unified spatio‐temporal data model and hierarchical spatio‐temporal index are constructed by linking basic data objects, like pointclouds and Spatio‐Temporal Hyper Cubes of different dimensions, within the multivector structure of Clifford algebra. The transformation from geographic space into homogeneous and conformal space means that geometric, metric and many other kinds of operators of Clifford algebra can be implemented and we then design the shortest path, high‐dimensional Voronoi and unified spatial‐temporal process analyses with spacetime algebra. Tests with real world data suggest these traditional GIS analysis algorithms can be extended and constructed under Clifford Algebra framework, which can accommodate multiple dimensions. The prototype software system CAUSTA (Clifford Algebra based Unified Spatial‐Temporal Analysis) provides a useful tool for investigating and modeling the distribution characteristics and dynamic process of complex geographical phenomena under the unified spatio‐temporal structure.  相似文献

The aggregated mobile phone network (AMPN) (i.e. the calling time or numbers are aggregated at every vertex), which records the call volume between different places over time, has been studied extensively to reveal the mobility patterns of residents, etc. Nevertheless, most previous works were implemented based on the non‐directionality of the network model. This simplification may overlook some important characteristics of AMPN. To explore the AMPN as a directional network model, we introduce the concept of directional heterogeneity in the study of AMPN data. The heterogeneity is twofold: (1) the imbalance of vertex (difference between outgoing and incoming calls of the vertex); and (2) the reciprocity of each edge (difference between the directed weights of the same edge). Taking the data of Singapore as an example, we systematically analyze the directional heterogeneity of AMPN. Our findings include three aspects. First, the AMPN shows as more unbalanced in the night‐time than in the daytime, and its imbalance decreases as vertex granularity increases. Second, the directional heterogeneity varied with locations. Specifically, the residential area is dominated by deficits and others by surpluses. Third, the trajectories of incoming and outgoing calls follow a similar geographical pattern (i.e. southeast‐north‐south‐north‐southeast), indicating the calling behavior and routine mobility of users over time and space.  相似文献

针对青岛市中心城区交通网络建设不完善的问题,研究了该区域路网的综合可达性,并提出了相应的解决方案。基于GIS平台,建立了青岛市中心城区路网模型;选取最小阻抗(时间和距离)、交叉口服务指数、路网密度和路网连通度作为关键评价指标,分别从路网距离关系、路网结构合理性、路网密度和路网发育程度4个方面分析了该区域的路网可达性;在此基础上,建立了青岛市中心城区路网综合评价模型。研究结果表明,该区域的路网以多中心多圈层形式分布,整体可达性良好;西南区域路网密度低,南部外围区域机动性差,南部地区可达性较差,应不断加强该地区的基础设施与路网建设。  相似文献

Network-constrained points are constrained by and distributed on road networks, for example, taxi pick-up and drop-off locations. The aggregation pattern (clustering) of network-constrained points (significantly denser than randomly distributed) along roads may indicate spatial anomalies. For example, detecting and quantifying the aggregation with the highest intensity (i.e., the number of taxi pick-up points per network length) can reveal high taxi demand. The network K-function and its derivative (incremental network K-function) have been utilized to identify point aggregations and measure aggregation scale, yet can only identify radius-based planar-scale results, thereby mis-estimating aggregation patterns owing to the network topology configuration heterogeneity. Specifically, complex road networks (e.g., intersections) may incur aggregations despite their low intensity. This study constructs the length L-function for network-constrained points, using its first derivative to quantify the true-to-life aggregation scale and the local function to extract aggregations. Synthetic and practical data experiments show innovative detection of aggregations at the length-based scale and with high intensity, providing a new approach to point pattern analysis of networks unaffected by topological complexity.  相似文献

In this article, multilayer perceptron (MLP) network models with spatial constraints are proposed for regionalization of geostatistical point data based on multivariate homogeneity measures. The study focuses on non‐stationarity and autocorrelation in spatial data. Supervised MLP machine learning algorithms with spatial constraints have been implemented and tested on a point dataset. MLP spatially weighted classification models and an MLP contiguity‐constrained classification model are developed to conduct spatially constrained regionalization. The proposed methods have been tested with an attribute‐rich point dataset of geological surveys in Ukraine. The experiments show that consideration of the spatial effects, such as the use of spatial attributes and their respective whitening, improve the output of regionalization. It is also shown that spatial sorting used to preserve spatial contiguity leads to improved regionalization performance.  相似文献

道路网络通达性是区域交通体系建设所要考虑的重要方面。本文以GIS为技术手段,通过重力度量模型、道路加权和密度模型计算得出经济联系指数和道路加权核密度指数,并构建综合通达性指数来分析湖北省县域道路网络综合通达性及其空间特征分布。结果表明:(1)湖北省103个县经济联系指数以武汉市主城区最高;(2)道路加权核密度指数以武汉市东西湖区最高;(3)道路网络综合通达性最高的5个县级行政单元为硚口区、汉阳区、江岸区、江汉区、东西湖区。本文填补了目前国内省级交通网络通达性方面的研究空白,为湖北省道路交通网络的建设和布局优化提供了参考依据。  相似文献

通过空间同位模式挖掘可发现频繁发生在邻近位置的事件集合,为揭示地理现象间的共生规律提供重要的决策支持。由于空间同位模式存在空间异质性问题,已有方法不能很好地探测出空间同位模式分布的相近性区域。为此,本文从地理属性的相近性方向探测同位模式的分布区域,提出了基于粗糙集的局部空间同位模式挖掘方法。首先,从全局视角提取不频繁的空间同位模式作为候选的局部空间同位模式;然后,对候选同位模式的实例位置进行处理,将其分布的热点区域属性作为粗糙数据集,借助粗糙集探测局部空间同位模式自然的分布区域;最后,度量在这些局部区域的频繁程度,生成所有频繁的局部空间同位模式。通过试验与应用发现,该方法不仅可以探测局部空间同位模式分布的相近性区域,还能反映同位模式分布区域的地理属性信息。  相似文献

An empirical modeling of road related and non‐road related landslide hazard for a large geographical area using logistic regression in tandem with signal detection theory is presented. This modeling was developed using geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing data, and was implemented on the Clearwater National Forest in central Idaho. The approach is based on explicit and quantitative environmental correlations between observed landslide occurrences, climate, parent material, and environmental attributes while the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves are used as a measure of performance of a predictive rule. The modeling results suggest that development of two independent models for road related and non‐road related landslide hazard was necessary because spatial prediction and predictor variables were different for these models. The probabilistic models of landslide potential may be used as a decision support tool in forest planning involving the maintenance, obliteration or development of new forest roads in steep mountainous terrain.  相似文献

Much is done nowadays to provide cyclists with safe and sustainable road infrastructure. Its development requires the investigation of road usage and interactions between traffic commuters. This article is focused on exploiting crowdsourced user‐generated data, namely GPS trajectories collected by cyclists and road network infrastructure generated by citizens, to extract and analyze spatial patterns and road‐type use of cyclists in urban environments. Since user‐generated data shows data‐deficiencies, we introduce tailored spatial data‐handling processes for which several algorithms are developed and implemented. These include data filtering and segmentation, map‐matching and spatial arrangement of GPS trajectories with the road network. A spatial analysis and a characterization of road‐type use are then carried out to investigate and identify specific spatial patterns of cycle routes. The proposed analysis was applied to the cities of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and Osnabrück (Germany), proving its feasibility and reliability in mining road‐type use and extracting pattern information and preferences. This information can help users who wish to explore friendlier and more interesting cycle patterns, based on collective usage, as well as city planners and transportation experts wishing to pinpoint areas most in need of further development and planning.  相似文献

Exposure to traffic‐related pollutants is associated with both morbidity and mortality. Because vehicle‐exhaust are highly localized, within a few hundred meters of heavily traveled roadways, highly accurate spatial data are critical in studies concerned with exposure to vehicle emissions. We compared the positional accuracy of a widely used U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) roadway network containing traffic activity data versus a global positioning system (GPS)‐validated road network without traffic information; developed a geographical information system (GIS)‐based methodology for producing improved roadway data associated with traffic activities; evaluated errors from geocoding processes; and used the CALINE4 dispersion model to demonstrate potential exposure misclassifications due to inaccurate roadway data or incorrectly geocoded addresses. The GIS‐based algorithm we developed was effective in transferring vehicle activity information from the less accurate USGS roadway network to a GPS‐accurate road network, with a match rate exceeding 95%. Large discrepancies, up to hundreds of meters, were found between the two roadway networks, with the GPS‐validated network having higher spatial accuracy. In addition, identifying and correcting errors associated with geocoding resulted in improved address matching. We demonstrated that discrepancies in roadway geometry and geocoding errors, can lead to serious exposure misclassifications, up to an order of magnitude in assigned pollutant concentrations.  相似文献

随着空间和信息技术的快速发展 ,我国的地理空间基础框架的主干之一 ,国家高程控制网也面临更新和现代化。国家高程控制网的现代化应包括两个部分 ,一是国家高精度水准网 ,即毫米级的一等水准网的定期更新 ;二是具有厘米级精度的 (似 )大地水准面的测定。建议尽快组织施测国家三期一等水准网 ,切实执行《中华人民共和国大地测量法式》中“一等水准网必须 2 5年复测一次”的规定 ,依法行政 ,以保证国家高程控制网毫米级高精度的可靠性和现势性 ;另一方面应结合 GPS水准和重力测量 ,精化我国大陆的 (似 )大地水准面至厘米量级 ,以利用“GPS+(似 )大地水准面”的技术取代国家二等水准网 ,采用这一技术可以节约大量人财物和时间 ,获得考虑的高程时 ,其精度均匀一致 ,没有水准测量沿线逐站传递的积累误差 ,在海岛、山区等困难或甚至无法传递水准测量高程的地区 ,采用这一技术不仅可以快捷地测得高程 ,而且其成果和国家高程基准和高程系统是统一的和协调的 ,中国大陆国土的任何一点 ,利用这一技术可以获得不低于原来二等水准网所提供的相应精度的高程  相似文献
