随着研究的不断深入,在中亚造山带(CAOB)不断有不同时代的洋岛玄武岩(OIB)被识别出来。在中亚造山带西南缘的西准噶尔地区的多条蛇绿混杂岩带中,也存在具有OIB特征的玄武岩。这些玄武岩呈枕状,与超基性岩、辉长岩、块状玄武岩、灰岩及紫红色硅质岩等紧密共生。地球化学研究表明枕状玄武岩均为碱性系列,具有较高的TiO2含量(大多>2.5%)、强烈富集轻稀土元素、无明显Nb、Ta负异常,与典型的OIB极为相似,认为其可能形成于大洋板内与地幔柱有关的海山环境。通过对海山的发展阶段分析认为,西准噶尔地区海山应该发展到爆炸海山阶段,因为其中发育大量的枕状熔岩。海山中火山岩或火山碎屑沉积物富集大离子亲石元素和高场强元素,海山的俯冲将对弧及弧后地区火山岩地球化学产生明显影响,而西准噶尔地区泥盆纪-石炭纪火山岩中恰恰存在海山的信号。因此,海山俯冲模式可能能更好地解释西准噶尔地区火山岩中存在OIB特征火山岩的成因。另外,海山俯冲还存在潜在的资源效应,因此应该寻找和研究古海山及火山岛链俯冲的迹象,将对进一步找金铜等矿提供可靠依据。  相似文献

The paper reports newly obtained stratigraphic, petrographic, and isotope-geochronological data on modern moderately acid lavas from the Keli Highland at the Greater Caucasus and presents a geological map of the territory, in which 35 volcanoes active in Late Quaternary time were documented by the authors. The total duration of volcanic activity at the highland was estimated at 250 ka. The volcanic activity was discrete and occurred in three phases: Middle Neopleistocene (245−170 ka), Late Neopleistocene (135−70 ka), and Late Neopleistocene-Holocene (<30 ka). Newly obtained lines of evidence indicate that certain volcanoes erupted in the latest Neopleistocene-Holocene. The first phase of volcanic activity was connected mainly with lava volcanoes, and eruptions during the later phases of volcanic activity in this part of the Greater Caucasus produced mainly lavas. The most significant eruptions are demonstrated to occur in the territory during the second phase. The major evolutionary trends of volcanic processes during the final phase in the Keli Highland are determined. It was also determined that the overwhelming majority of volcanoes that were active less than 30 ka B.P. are spatially restricted to long-liven local magmatic zones, which were active during either all three or only the final two phases of activity. These parts of the territory are, perhaps, the most hazardous in terms of volcanic activity.  相似文献

Data on the composition of rocks in linear tectono-magmatic rises in the Brazil Basin indicate that volcanic rocks in the Vitoria—Trindade seamount chain were derived from a mantle reservoir unevenly enriched in phosphorus under the effect of melts close to subalkaline picrobasalt. These melts contained much of the EM I mantle component because the plume material was contaminated with continental lithospheric component. A long-lived isotopic homogeneity of the source is typical of the whole structure, including the Trindade and Martin Vaz Islands and the Abrolhos Plateau. The analogous isotopic ratios of rocks at the Fernando de Noronha Islands are reportedly explained by a similar mechanism of melt derivation and the similar evolution of the mantle plume material, which was originally situated beneath the South American continent. Compared to the melts of volcanic rocks of all other seamounts discussed herein, the parental melts of volcanics at the Victoria—Trindade Seamounts were derived at lower degrees of melting of enriched source material at a greater depth. The overwhelming majority of volcanic rocks at the northern chain of the Bahia Seamounts were produced by melts generated with the involvement of material of the HIMU type. At the same time, one of our rock samples was derived from a source of composition close to DM with a certain admixture of enriched material like EM I. The mantle source of rocks of the Pernambuco Seamounts consisted of a mixture of DM and HIMU material with a certain admixture of EM I (or, perhaps, EM II). The 10°–11° S Seamounts were formed near the MAR axial zone at the decompressional melting of chemically homogeneous mantle source that consisted of DM material with an admixture of EM I (or, perhaps, EM II) component.  相似文献

松辽盆地东缘六台地区营城组露头地质调查和实验室分析显示,貌似正常碎屑岩的营二段是一套复杂的火山熔岩和沉积岩之间的过渡岩性。这套岩性包括了碎屑熔岩、凝灰岩、沉凝灰岩、凝灰质碎屑岩和正常碎屑岩,显示了它们形成于火山—沉积盆地的过渡环境,即火山斜坡过渡到冲积平原和湖泊环境。与火山作用有关岩相有4种端元的火山碎屑岩相:弹射坠落爆发空落相、喷射降落爆发空落相、热碎屑流相和热基浪相。火山物质堆积在火山斜坡以及前方的冲积平原上,往往以火山碎屑岩相或者冲积扇相、辫状河相保存;它们堆积在湖泊中则为三角洲相、扇三角洲相、较深水相和沼泽相。这些相的空间组合反映了火山喷发—碎屑堆积的过程。根据旋回发育营二段可以区分出3种类型的充填序列:沉积—火山充填序列、沉积充填序列和火山充填序列。较为完整的序列为粗碎屑岩—火山岩和火山碎屑岩—细碎屑岩,对应着裂谷类盆地断裂作用—火山作用—沉积充填的过程,记录在特定的地层结构中。  相似文献

Nisyros as well as the islet of Yiali are found in the crossing of two fault lines, that of Episcopi — Patmos and the one of southern Aegean (Soussaki-Gulf of Saronic — Milos — Santorini — Dodecanese) it consists almost exclusively of volcanic rocks, that is lavas and tuff and very limited appearence of Holocene formations. The presence of two volcanic effusions is certified, everyone of which began from basic magma, poor in SiO2 (olivinic pyroxenic andesites), and gave as final products acidic petrological types (liparites and volcanic glasses). The basic magmas of the first volcanic periods are found only in few places and in very limited areas of appearence. After the ascension of volcanic fragmental products the cycle of the first volcanic period closed with the creation of very thick beds of pumice. The second volcanic period gave more petrological types with transitive forms. After the creation of olivinic — pyroxenic andesites followed the exit of trachyandesites, trachytic and dacitic lavas with final creation of rhyolite and of volcanic glasses. The extension of the mentioned rocks is noted in detail on the geological map. The classification of the exact geological age is difficult because there is no place where they come in contact with sediments. In general the researches think that the volcanity in the region of Dodecanese began during the middle or the end of the Miocene with successive explosions up to the young geological ages. Only on the islet Yiali which consists exclusively of acid lavas (pumice stones, rhyolite, perlite) fossiliferous layers of marly limestone, sandstone and konglomerate are found, as much at the sea level as in the top of the layers of pumice stone, of tyrrhenian age. The discovery of tools of obsidian in the layers of pumice stone is perhaps a sign that these explosions continued up to the Holocene period. Among the post volcanic phenomena are classified emanations, sulfur-genetic activity with the creation of sulfur deposits of the island and the presence of the thermal healing springs in many parts. Petrochemically the lavas of the island Nisyros and Yiali belong to calcium alkaline magmas.  相似文献

It is proposed to regard the terminal Cretaceous event as similar to the radiolarian extinction event in the late Eocene: the result of a volcanic eruption or series of eruptions on the moon. Some glassy ash, lapilli and blocks from these eruptions fell to the earth; some, in geocentric orbit, formed clouds around the earth. In accordance with current theory, it is found that the clouds in orbit would evolve into sets of rings, which would last a few hundred thousand to a few million years, and would perturb the climate of the earth. One such eruption apparently included iridium-bearing material, perhaps from the deep interior of the moon.The hypothesis permits a reconciliation between the evidence for the catastrophic intervention of extra-terrestrial masses in the earth environment, and the evidence for gradual (though rapid) change of flora and fauna at the Cretaceous/Tertiary boundary. The formation of the E-ring of Saturn by ejecta from the Saturnian satellite Enceladus may have been analogous. The theory might be tested by studies of diurnal layering in molluscan shells.  相似文献

A set of ash layer samples within the uppermost Upper Freshwater Molasse (OSM) sediments (N and E of Frauenfeld, Switzerland) was dated by apatite fission track (FT) means. The ages indicate an early Tortonian (perhaps latest Serravallian) eruption and sedimentation age of 11.5 ± 0.3 Ma. The age is in agreement with time constraints by Mammalian relicts which point to MN7-8. Due to the position of the ash layers close to the erosional gap and overlying Quaternary cover, the age represents a maximum age for the cessation of OSM sedimentation in the Swiss Molasse Basin. However, the end of Molasse sedimentation in this region had not stopped before the cover of OSM sediments by volcanic ash layers at the Höwenegg volcano (southern Germany), an event further constrained by an apatite FT age of 9.8 (?0.7/+0.8) Ma from a hornblende-bearing ash layer at Höwenegg. An isolated bentonitic ash layer occurring 25 km to the WSW of the main set of dated ashes (near Humlikon) has an age component identical to the OSM ash layers near Frauenfeld. The age suggests a source for this material within the Hegau, but is too young to be related to the volcanic activity at the Kaiserstuhl.The apatites from the ash layer samples show two distinct compositional populations, one very close to a Cl end member and one with apatites of equal proportions of Cl and OH end member. These populations are interpreted to have possibly originated from at least two distinct igneous sources for the ashes, separated by their eruption site or eruption time or both. The distinct compositional data on the volcanic apatites may provide a basis to clarify their origin in future work.  相似文献

Identifying the spatial extent of volcanic ash clouds in the atmosphere and forecasting their direction and speed of movement has important implications for the safety of the aviation industry, community preparedness and disaster response at ground level. Nine regional Volcanic Ash Advisory Centres were established worldwide to detect, track and forecast the movement of volcanic ash clouds and provide advice to en route aircraft and other aviation assets potentially exposed to the hazards of volcanic ash. In the absence of timely ground observations, an ability to promptly detect the presence and distribution of volcanic ash generated by an eruption and predict the spatial and temporal dispersion of the resulting volcanic cloud is critical. This process relies greatly on the heavily manual task of monitoring remotely sensed satellite imagery and estimating the eruption source parameters (e.g. mass loading and plume height) needed to run dispersion models. An approach for automating the quick and efficient processing of next generation satellite imagery (big data) as it is generated, for the presence of volcanic clouds, without any constraint on the meteorological conditions, (i.e. obscuration by meteorological cloud) would be an asset to efforts in this space. An automated statistics and physics-based algorithm, the Automated Probabilistic Eruption Surveillance algorithm is presented here for auto-detecting volcanic clouds in satellite imagery and distinguishing them from meteorological cloud in near real time. Coupled with a gravity current model of early cloud growth, which uses the area of the volcanic cloud as the basis for mass measurements, the mass flux of particles into the volcanic cloud is estimated as a function of time, thus quantitatively characterising the evolution of the eruption, and allowing for rapid estimation of source parameters used in volcanic ash transport and dispersion models.

扬子板块北缘大巴山地区上奥陶统-下志留统地层中斑脱岩较发育。笔者对大巴山西段陕西紫阳麻柳和四川万源皮窝乡上奥陶统五峰组-下志留统龙马溪组剖面的斑脱岩进行采样,开展了高精度锆石U-Pb测年,首次在该地区获得了445.1±3.5Ma和446.1±7.2Ma的锆石U-Pb年龄,限定了五峰组-龙马溪组地层沉积年龄,为扬子板块北缘大巴山地区奥陶系-志留系界线附近火山喷发事件、地层年代学研究提供了依据。本文所获得的年龄数据与秦岭-大别山造山带奥陶纪岩浆弧形成时间同步,略晚于华北克拉通西南缘奥陶系斑脱岩(449.0~465.8Ma),其火山活动可能与古秦岭洋壳向北的俯冲有关,火山凝灰质可能源自沿古秦岭洋盆北缘的火山弧喷发。中奥陶世晚期至早志留世早期,多幕次的高频火山喷发事件影响了当时海洋化学条件、碳循环波动、气候变冷和生物辐射脉动,造成了晚奥陶世末期的冰川启动和生物集群绝灭。  相似文献

储层地质模型指火山岩的岩性岩相和储层物性的空间分布。通过对营城组火山岩剖面的详细研究,结合2口钻井的岩心资料,详细划分对比储层单元,定量刻画火山岩储层。研究区火山岩相呈喷溢相→爆发相→喷溢相+侵出相→火山沉积相→爆发相→火山通道相+喷溢相的序列特征。爆发相、喷溢相规模最大,各亚相侧向延伸在400~4 000 m,单层厚度为2~130 m;火山通道相、侵出相和火山沉积相的规模较小,侧向延伸为110~1 500 m,单层厚度为3~85 m。营下段为Ⅰ类、Ⅲ类储层,营一段为Ⅰ类、Ⅱ类储层夹Ⅳ类储层,营二段为Ⅰ类储层,营三段为互层的Ⅰ类、Ⅱ类、Ⅲ类储层夹薄层Ⅳ类储层。上部亚相、火山颈亚相、内带亚相是最好储层,下部亚相、隐爆角砾岩亚相为较好储层,爆发相为中等储层,中部亚相、火山沉积相为差储层。火山熔岩类物性随埋深增加变化小,火山碎屑岩类物性随埋深增加变化大,低孔、低渗岩石的物性随埋深增加变化小。  相似文献

敦煌地块东段前长城系敦煌群是该台块最古老的结晶基底,为一套绿岩建造。金矿床赋存于敦煌群顶部第四岩组火山岩和稍晚的基性斜长角门石岩被强烈钠交代而形成的钠长岩体内,并严格受控于脆-韧性剪切带。与金矿化有关的钠交代原岩有基性侵入岩、中酸性火山岩、花岗岩(可能有)等,但其最终交代产物均为钠长岩和石英脉组合,为一种特殊的金矿类型。  相似文献

Previous palaeomagnetic results from Tertiary volcanic rocks of Sardinia suggest that the island underwent a quick counterclockwise rotation between 20.5 and 19 Ma. In order to test this hypothesis, a new palaeomagnetic study was carried out on sediments and volcanic rocks with well-controlled biostratigraphic or radiometric ages younger than the suggested age for the end of the rotation.
Unrotated palaeomagnetic directions obtained from the Upper Ignimbrites (radiometric age: 18.5–19.7 Myr) and the Aquitanian tuffs collected in the Anglona region (N Sardinia) would suggest that the rotation ended earlier than 20.5 Myr. The directions found in the volcanics are perhaps the result of secular variation, rather than differential rotation of the Anglona region with respect to surrounding regions.
Two sites belonging to the upper ignimbritic unit (SI2) in the Monte Traessu-Monte Rispisu area (Logudoro region) exhibited a large amount of rotation ( D =320.4°, I =60°) which may be age related (radiometric age: 19.9 Myr). Four dikes (radiometric age: 18.3–16.7 Myr) in the Arcuentu volcanic complex (Arburese region) yield results ( D =348.4°, I =33.8°) that indicate a further amount of rotation after their emplacement.
Stable end-point directions were successfully isolated from three Upper Burdigalian/Langhian sedimentary sites (biostratigraphic age: 18–15Ma) from the Marmilla and Logudoro regions. Consistent paleomagnetic directions obtained from these sites ( D =352°, I =49°) indicate that a small amount of rotation was still to be completed in the Langhian time. This result is consistent with the history of Sardinian volcanism, which did not end until 13 Ma.  相似文献

本文通过对辽西北票地区兴隆沟组安山质火山岩的组分和岩相学研究,发现作为捕虏晶的斜方辉石存在反环带和韵律环带.根据具反环带结构的斜方辉石的微量元素丰度研究,提出兴隆沟组火山岩是岩浆混合作用的产物而非下地壳拆沉作用的产物.对比华北克拉通北缘不同时代,不同成因的单斜辉石,推测辉石有可能来源于早中生代下地壳的堆晶岩.  相似文献

中国东部松辽盆地和渤海湾盆地形成与演化的深部动力学机制尚未得到很好的解释.通过对区域地震资料盆地沉积记录、火山岩岩石探针和大地构造演化历史的综合分析,认为地幔柱(柱头直径约500km)在晚侏罗世一晚白垩世时形成于松辽地区,经历了软流圈地幔上涌、地壳抬升与伸展、火山活动,导致松辽盆地的形成;由于华北板块向北移动,始新世时地幔柱(柱头直径600-800km)移动到京津一渤海湾地区,类似的地质过程形成了渤海湾盆地.渤海湾地幔柱的活动还可能是京津唐地区地震多发的根本原因。  相似文献

宁芜具有高地热场的火山断陷盆地 ,形成于晚侏罗世 ,消亡于晚白垩世。该盆地火山活动形成的龙王山、大王山、姑山和娘娘山 4个喷发旋回 ,堆积了厚约 2 5 0 0m的陆相中基性酸性碱性火山岩系 ,在晚侏罗世沉积了硬石膏、硫铁矿层。硫铁矿在沉积特征上具有热水沉积的由稀粗转为细密的条纹—条带状构造及喷发角砾岩和硅质岩特征。电子探针所测之黄铁矿中铁的平均含量 4 5 .85 % ,硫的平均含量 5 3 .5 9% ,具有富S特征 ;稀土元素总量平均 2 .2 0× 10 -6 ~ 17.3 9× 10 -6 ,平均为 7.2 9× 10 -6 ,具有明显的负铈异常 (δCe:0 .4 9~ 0 .93 )。硫同位素组成δ34 S常见值为 10‰~ 2 3‰ ,以富重硫为特征。通过对硅质岩、硬石膏岩等常量与微量、稀土元素和稳定同位素分析结果来看 ,均表现出热水沉积的特点 ,热水沉积在向山式高品位优质硫铁矿矿床形成过程中 ,占据重要的地位。  相似文献

The Boliden deposit (8.3 Mt at 15.9 g/t Au) is interpreted to have been formed between ca. 1894 and 1891 Ma, based on two new U–Pb ID-TIMS ages: a maximum age of 1893.9?+?2.0/?1.9 Ma obtained from an altered quartz and feldspar porphyritic rhyolite in the deposit footwall in the volcanic Skellefte group and a minimum age of 1890.8?±?1 Ma obtained from a felsic mass-flow deposit in the lowermost part of the volcano-sedimentary Vargfors group, which forms the stratigraphic hanging wall to the deposit. These ages are in agreement with the alteration and mineralization being formed at or near the sea floor in the volcanogenic massive sulfide environment. These two ages and the geologic relationships imply that: (1) volcanism and hydrothermal activity in the Skellefte group were initiated earlier than 1.89 Ga which was previously considered to be the onset of volcanism in the Skellefte group; (2) the volcano-sedimentary succession of the Vargfors group is perhaps as old as 1892 Ma in the eastern part of the Skellefte district; and (3) an early (synvolcanic) deformation event in the Skellefte group is evidenced by the unconformity between the ≤1893.9?+?2.0/?1.9 Ma Skellefte group upper volcanic rocks and the ≤1890.8?±?1 Ma Vargfors sedimentary and volcanic rocks in the Boliden domain. Differential block tilting, uplift, and subsidence controlled by synvolcanic faults in an extensional environment is likely, perhaps explaining some hybrid VMS-epithermal characteristics shown by the VMS deposits of the district.  相似文献

The extrusive products of a Middle to Late Jurassic volcanic event occur throughout a wide area of southern South America. These volcanic rocks are associated in time and space with a series of NNW-trending grabens. The extension that produced the grabens began perhaps in the latest Triassic and continued throughout most of the Jurassic. The Middle to Late Jurassic volcanic rocks represent the culminating event of this period of extension.The Jurassic volcanic rocks described here are dominantly rhyolites and basalts, but flows of intermediate composition are also present. Major element geochemistry on a suite of samples taken from a west-east transect near 44°S latitude shows that these rocks are not related directly to convergent arc volcanism along the margin of South America, but are the products of a separate tectonic/magmatic event that involved significant crustal anatexis.The extension and related volcanism directly preceded the opening of the Rocas Verdes marginal basin along the western margin of Chile and may have led to the initial separation of South America and South Africa. As such, the Middle-to-Late Jurassic extension and volcanism heralded the breakup of part of Gondwanaland.  相似文献

近十几年来 ,随着同位素地质年代学的发展 ,伊通火山群地区新生代地层断代问题的研究取得了突破性的进展 ,对重新厘定过去东北泛称下更新统“白土山组”地层的年代找到了突破口。通过火山岩年龄的测定、火山岩与“白土山组”接触关系及孢粉组合的研究 ,确认伊通火山岩群地区的“白土山组”的地质时代为新近纪中新世 ,与松辽平原中心的“白土山组”时代不同。  相似文献

Flame formation at or near volcanic vents is a somewhat unusual phenomenon, but during October 1970 true flames were observed to issue at intervals from a series of vents in a lava tube or from spatter cones associated with the new eruptive center (Mauna Ulu) on the southeast rift of Kilauea volcano, Hawaii. This situation was similar to that under which successful volcanic gas collections have been made in the past in Hawaii and elsewhere. After several attempts two gas samples were collected successfully between flaming episodes. Analysis showed these to be chiefly water vapor with a small amount of hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The probable source of the hydrogen in the gas is explained on the basis of the high-temperature equilibria involved. The flame-forming properties of dilute mixtures of hydrogen and non-combustible gas were studied and the most dilutemixtures that would produce flames under volcanic conditions were measured (flammability limit). Intermittent flaming can be ascribed to the periodic attainment of the flammability limit for hydrogen in the volcanic gas mixture, which was found to be achieved in one of the collected samples.  相似文献
