There is a zone of blastomylonites containing hornblende gneisses of Lewisian Inliertype in the northeast-east of Yell,Shetland.This zone with a north—northwesterlytrend consists of blastomylonised hornblende-banded gneiss,hornblende-feldspar gneissand mica-felsie-gneiss with lenses of hornblende gneiss.It is indicated that theblastomylonite zone is actually a ductile shear zone and the sense of shear is dextral.This contributes to understanding the details of tectonic evolution in this area,and thiszone is probably a part of tectonic system of the British Caledonides.  相似文献

The eastern Himalayan syntaxis in Namjagbarwa is a high-grade metamorphic terrain formed by the India-Eurasia collision and northward indentation of the Indian continent into Asia. Right- and left-lateral slip zones were formed by the indentation on the eastern and western boundaries of the syntaxis respectively. The Dongjug-Mainling fault zone is the main shear zone on the western boundary. This fault zone is a left-lateral slip belt with a large component of thrusting. The kinematics of the fault is consistent with the shortening within the syntaxis, and the slipping history along it represents the indenting process of the syntaxis. The Ar-Ar chronological study shows that the age of the early deformation in the Dongjug-Mainling fault zone ranges from 62 to 59 Ma. This evidences that the India-Eurasia collision occurred in the early Paleocene in the eastern Himalayan syntaxis.  相似文献

With abundant deep-water upper Permian sediments,Guizhou is an ideal place for the re-search of radiolarian biostratigraphy of Upper Permian.The sections of Sidazhai and Lekang in southern Guizhou Province are studied.Lithology and biostratigraphy of the siliceous rock sequence of uppermost Permian in the two sections are introduced.Radiolarian assemblage zones,Neoalbaillella optima assem-blage zone and Klaengspongus spinosus assemblage zone in ascending order are established for the top-most Permian of southern Guizhou.The Klaengspongus spinosus zone has been the topmost radiolarian assemblage zone of Permian,which is also correlated with former ones in a considerable depth.  相似文献

The silty clay and silty loam are two typical soil types obtained from two test sites along the Qinghai-Tibet railway. The two types of soil have been designed various initial dry densities, water eontents, temperature conditions in repeated freezing and thawing tests with free access to water at the bottom. Afterfreeze-thaw cycles, the moisture content in the freeze-thaw zone increases more than that in the unfrozen zone to the peak approximately at the top of the samples. With comparison of the water contents in the frozen and thawed states, the moisture content in the upper freeze-thaw zone in the frozen state is greater than that in the thawed state, while that in unfrozen zone in the frozen state is smaller than that in the thawed state. Within the region of the frost front, the water content in frozen state is smaller than that in thawed state. These findings help to study the freeze-thaw mechanisms deeply and perfect the forecasting module of moisture transferring in freeze-thaw cycles.  相似文献

The high-grade iron deposits of the Gongchangling type occur in the Archaeozoic Anshan Group of this region and are classified as stratabound deposits. They underwent stages of sedimentation, regional metamorphism, and hydrothermal enrichment during the course of formation. Hydrothermal enrichment is notable in the vertical zoning pattern, i.e., from the bottom upwards, zone A hlgh-grade magnetite ore; zone B low-grade magnetite ore; zone C transition zone between hematite and magnetite ore ; zone D low-grads hematite ore ; zone E alterated cover. Through the vertical profile of the orebody, regular variations can be recognized in iron concentration, in the characteristics of country rock alteration, the ore-controlling structure and the properties of the hydrothermal ore-forming fluids. A two-fold source, deep hot brines and shallow thermal groundwater, is suggested for the origin of the ore-formlng hydrothermal fluids. The two fluids, mixed in varying proportions, are responsible for the various geochemical reactions during the course of ascending, exerting controls on the iron content of ore and the pattern of vertical zonation. A better understanding of the vertical zonation is expected to shed light on the exploration for such type of ore deposits.  相似文献

Traditionally, the lower boundary of the Aikuanian(Yanguanian) Stage has always been considered as the lower boundary of the Carboniferous in China. marked by the occurrence of the coral Cystophrentis.In recent years, some biostratigraphical research results have shown that the Cystophrentis zone is only distributed in the lower part of the Menggong'ao Formation(or the Gelaohe Formation) and that there is an interval zone namely the Cystophrentis-Pseudouralinia interval zone, wedged in just between the Cystophrertis zone and the Pseudouralinia zone in the upper part of the Menggong'ao Formation(or the GelaoheFormation). According to the current study of the conodont biostratigraphy, the coral Cystophrentis zone appears to be of latest Devonian age. So the lower boundary of the Aikuanian Stage is much lower than the lower Devonian-Carboniferous boundary and should no longer be regarded as the lower boundary of the Carboniferous in China. In this paper, two proposals for the Devonian-Carboniferous boundary in the shallow-water facies areas of China are put forward: 1) that the boundary is marked by the first appearance of the conodont Siphonodella(Eosiphonodella) simplex, and 2) that the boundary is recognized by the extinction of the coral Cystophrentis or the brachiopod Tenticospirifer.In addition, 4 species are newly estabished here: Icriodus obovatus sp. nov., Polygnathus lepidus sp. nov., Polygnathus paucidentatus sp. nov. and Polylophodonta jianghuaensis sp. nov.  相似文献
