Precipitation is a major climatic element with high spatial variations. Temporal and spatial variations may differ in large and small scales. It is, therefore, of utmost importance to study areas with similar gradients in terms of precipitation patterns in order to shed light on the complexities of precipitation variations. In the present study, attempts were made to identify areas with similar gradients experiencing the same precipitation pattern over a 50-year period (1964–2013). To this end, data were collected from synoptic stations in Iran in two phases (i.e., 1434 stations in the first phase and 673 stations in the second one). Alexanderson’s technique was adopted to examine sudden changes in precipitation patterns. The results showed that five regions with similar gradients could be identified in terms of precipitation patterns: negative and high variations, negative and moderate variations, positive and high variations, positive and moderate variations, and little or no variations. The distribution of such regions indicated that the regions with positive trends experienced more annual variations and had further spatial distribution. Furthermore, the findings revealed that the regions with negative precipitation patterns experienced more sudden changes in comparison with those with positive precipitation patterns. Additionally, more variations were observed in the precipitation patterns in recent years.  相似文献

We present the results of the analysis of experimental data of synchronous observations of variations in the electric and magnetic fields as well as acoustic oscillations in the surface zone of the Earth compared with variations in the meteorological parameters. We demonstrate the synchronous variations in these fields and atmospheric parameters. We revealed, for the first time, not only synchronous but also advancing manifestations of the geomagnetic field perturbations. We introduce a new parameter: the inverse magnetic tipper whose variations during atmospheric perturbations are clearly manifested compared with the variations in the magnetic tipper.  相似文献

Orbital-period variations of the low-mass, semi-detached eclipsing binary RT Per are analyzed. In addition to the secular variation of the orbital period determined by the mass transfer between the components, cyclic variations are also present. Both the light-time effect and magnetic oscillations can describe the cyclic orbital-period variations of RT Per. The secular period increase can be explained by a uniform flow of matter from the lower-mass to the higher-mass component at a rate of 0.60 × 10−8M-/year, with the total angular momentum being conserved. The period variations can be represented equally accurately by either a superposition of two cyclic variations or a superposition of a secular period increase and two cyclic variations. Approximately the same parameters are derived for the lower-period (36.8 year) variations when the times of minima are fitted with a linear or a quadratic formula. For the longer-period variation, a period of 275 years and amplitude of 0.104 days are found using the linear formula, or 89 years and 0.045 days using the quadratic formula.

The applicability of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) to adequately represent broad-scale patterns of groundwater storage (GWS) variations and observed trends in groundwater-monitoring well levels (GWWL) is examined in the Canadian province of Alberta. GWS variations are derived over Alberta for the period 2002–2014 using the Release 05 (RL05) monthly GRACE gravity models and the Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) land-surface models. Twelve mean monthly GWS variation maps are generated from the 139 monthly GWS variation grids to characterize the annual GWS variation pattern. These maps show that, overall, GWS increases from February to June, and decreases from July to October, and slightly increases from November to December. For 2002–2014, the GWS showed a positive trend which increases from west to east with a mean value of 12 mm/year over the province. The resulting GWS variations are validated using GWWLs in the province. For the purpose of validation, a GRACE total water storage (TWS)-based correlation criterion is introduced to identify groundwater wells which adequately represent the regional GWS variations. GWWLs at 36 wells were found to correlate with both the GRACE TWS and GWS variations. A factor f is defined to up-scale the GWWL variations at the identified wells to the GRACE-scale GWS variations. It is concluded that the GWS variations can be mapped by GRACE and the GLDAS models in some situations, thus demonstrating the conditions where GWS variations can be detected by GRACE in Alberta.  相似文献

Based on complex analysis of the results of instrumental observations during strong atmospheric disturbances, it is shown that hurricanes and squalls are accompanied not only by high wind velocities, but also by high-amplitude microbaric variations, variations in amplitudes of the microseismic background, and the vertical component of the electric field. It is established that 1–4 hours before the onset, squalls and hurricanes are characterized by increased amplitudes of microbaric variations in the range of periods of 2–6 min, as well as by low-frequency variations in the electric field and variations in the microseismic background, which together with the meteorological parameters can be considered as a complex prognostic criterion of an impending hurricane (squall).  相似文献

Strong vibrations of the Earth’s crust in the frequency range of 7–9 Hz, referred to as the “voice of the sea,” have been recorded in the course of processing synchronous experimental data obtained during recording of variations in the deformation of the Earth’s crust using a shore laser strainmeter, atmosphere pressure variations using a laser nanobarograph, and hydrosphere pressure variations using a laser meter for hydrospheric pressure and wind velocity variations. 热带西太平洋暖池是引发强烈的大气对流、驱动Walker环流和Hadley环流系统的主要热源之一,对全球、尤其是东亚气候有重要影响。针对我国在提升气候预测水平方面的重大和迫切需求,国家重点基础研究发展计划项目"热带太平洋海洋环流与暖池的结构特征、变异机理和气候效应"于2011年7月正式立项。项目拟解决的关键科学问题包括:①调控暖池形成和变异的海洋环流多尺度相互作用过程;②海洋动力过程在暖池热盐结构变异中的作用及其机理;③暖池变异对不同类型El Nio影响机理的异同和对东亚季风变异的调制机理。围绕上述关键科学问题,项目将以暖池变异为中心,关注影响和控制暖池结构与变异的关键海洋过程,以及暖池海气相互作用影响ENSO循环、东亚季风年际变异的过程和机理,重点组织开展以下3个方面有针对性的调查研究:①热带太平洋环流和暖池的结构和变异特征;②热带太平洋环流与暖池相互作用的关键过程和机理;③暖池变异的海洋—大气耦合过程及其气候效应。在此基础上,项目将力争阐明暖池影响东亚季风和我国气候变异的过程、机理与敏感区,改进模式的混合参数化方案,提出有效提高ENSO预报技巧的同化方案,为我国短期气候预测能力的提高提供科学支撑。  相似文献

The recent development of the Lithosphere–Atmosphere–Ionosphere (LAI) coupling model and experimental data of remote sensing satellites on thermal anomalies before major strong earthquakes have demonstrated that radon emanations in the area of earthquake preparation can produce variations of the air temperature and relative humidity. Specific repeating pattern of humidity and air temperature variations was revealed as a result of analysis of the meteorological data for several tens of strong earthquakes all over the world. The main physical process responsible for the observed variations is the latent heat release due to water vapor condensation on ions produced as a result of air ionization by energetic α-particles emitted by 222Rn. The high effectiveness of this process was proved by the laboratory and field experiments; hence the specific variations of air humidity and temperature can be used as indicator of radon variations before earthquakes.We analyzed the historical meteorological data all over the Mexico around the time of one of the most destructive earthquakes (Michoacan earthquake M8.1) that affected the Mexico City on September 19, 1985. Several distinct zones of specific variations of the air temperature and relative humidity were revealed that may indicate the different character of radon variations in different parts of Mexico before the Michoacan earthquake. The most interesting result on the specific variations of atmosphere parameters was obtained at Baja California region close to the border of Cocos and Rivera tectonic plates. This result demonstrates the possibility of the increased radon variations not only in the vicinity of the earthquake source but also at the border of interacting tectonic plates. Recent results on Thermal InfraRed (TIR) anomalies registered by Meteosat 5 before the Gujarat earthquake M7.9 on 26 of January 2001 supports the idea on the possibility of thermal effects at the border of interacting tectonic plates.  相似文献

The coefficient of normal rigidity of different-order fault zones was evaluated from seismic data. The crust tectonic faults were shown to be dynamic systems and nonstatic. Specifically, this is manifested in the variability of their rigidity with time. The value of the rigidity of fault zones varies in time with periods of 13–15 days, 27–32 days, and around 1 year. Here, the coefficient of normal rigidity of different-order fault zones can vary by 1.3 (semimonthly variations) 1.5 (monthly variations), and 2.5 times (annual variations), respectively. These variations are most likely governed by the rate and intensity of the transformation of matter of fault zones and, as a consequence, the variations in their mechanical properties under tidal conditions. Dynamic effects like seismoexplosive waves lead to a reduction in the rigidity of fault zones by 5–50% depending on the amplitude of the compression wave.  相似文献

探究CO2地质储存泄露的安全性问题,研究CO2在土壤包气带中浓度分布的影响因素。用不同浓度的CO2气体输入试验筒中,并监测土壤中CO2浓度,将测量结果与温度及土壤含水率变化曲线对比。结果表明,输气速度不变情况下,土壤中CO2浓度变化较小,基本保持平衡,由深到浅 CO2浓度依次降低,不同浓度试验组的CO2气体的浓度小幅变化与日温变化规律相同;土壤中CO2浓度大小的对含水率基本无影响,但雨水入渗增大了土壤含水率,CO2浓度较原来相比有所上升,在土壤深约1.5 m处形成一个较小的峰值。  相似文献

The characteristic time scales for variations in the differential rotation of the solar corona are determined using measurements of the intensity of the FeXIV 5303 Å coronal line made from 1939–2004. Drift waves of the variations in the rotational speed with an 11-year periodicity can be distinguished. Moving averages with time intervals from two to five years are used to identify torsional waves. In addition, longer-period variations in the rotational speed can be distinguished when longer averaging intervals are used. When the interval used for the moving average is increased to 8–12 years, a quasi-22-year rotational period appears. The low-latitude corona rotates more slowly in odd cycles than in even cycles. Increasing the duration of the averaging interval further shows that rapid rotation at low latitudes was observed in 1940–1950 and 1990–2000, while slow rotation was observed in 1960–1980, possibly suggesting the presence of a 55-year period in the rotational variations. Long-term variations are found in the rotation of polar regions. The rotational variations for high-latitude corona are in antiphase with those for the low-latitude corona. The origins of zones of anomalous coronal rotation and their dynamics in the global activity cycle are discussed.  相似文献

Near-surface layer variations can degrade the desired response of seismic arrays which are typically used to attenuate horizontally traveling coherent noise and enhance vertically traveling signal. We investigate the effect of variations in the near-surface layer thickness on the performance of arrays by studying their impulse and wavelet responses. The models considered include the topographic variations and a channel in the base of weathering layer. The topographic variations include a dipping surface layer as well as a surface layer that follows a sine wave. The geological channel is assumed to be present under the entire receiver array as well as partially under a few receivers. We use Ricker wavelet and model plane wavefronts with incidence angles (90, 70, 45, 20, and 5 °) on a 12-element equally weighted array for the weathering layer models. We found that the array responses are more degraded for near-vertically traveling waves in all cases. The array responses are also found to be more degraded when channel variations are present underneath a few receivers as compared to the entire array length. We recommend designing a spatial filter or using single-sensor records after correcting for intra-array statics to preserve the reflection amplitudes in the presence of weathering layer variations.  相似文献

对中国大陆科学钻探工程主孔榴辉岩退变质过程中的微量元素地球化学行为进行了研究。对退变质程度连续变化样品的不同部分的对比研究表明,流体作用下的退变质过程中大离子亲石元素(Cs、Rb、Ba、Sr、K、Th、U)和轻稀土元素表现出较大的活动性,重稀土元素和高场强元素变化相对较小。退变质后大离子亲石元素的显著增加和高场强元素、重稀土元素的轻微变化(甚至相对降低),表明与退变质作用有关的流体中的络阴离子含量很少,并不富集高场强元素和重稀土元素。退变质后总体上表现出的Si、大离子亲石元素和轻稀土元素的明显变化,表明外来流体参与了榴辉岩的退变质过程,带入和带出了一些元素。结合榴辉岩中单矿物微量元素组成以及前人对D^Mineral/Fluid的研究成果,对流体-榴辉岩作用形成的退变质分带(富石英条带→角闪岩→退变质榴辉岩→新鲜榴辉岩)的微量元素组成变化进行了详细研究。结果表明在流体作用下的榴辉岩退变质过程中,大离子亲石元素、轻稀土元素和高场强元素含量的变化除了受退变质流体性质的影响外,更大程度上取决于退变质过程中的矿物相(尤其是副矿物)的变化。  相似文献

Eight rare-earth elements (REE) have been determined in Cambro-Silurian sediments and volcanics from nine stratigraphic units in the Trondheim Region and ten stratigraphic units in the Oslo Region by neutron-activation analyses. In the eugeosynclinal sediments from the Trondheim Region the REE variations are related to variations in source material, which mainly are volcanic debris of local origin. In the foreland sediments from the Oslo Region significant development of clays has occurred and therefore the REE variations reflect the deposition environment.  相似文献

Cyclic variations of the orbital period superposed on a secular period decrease have been found for the Algol-type eclipsing binaries TU Her, TY Peg, and Y Psc. A superposition of two kinds of cyclic variations is observed for TU Her and Y Psc: with periods of 69.4 years and 30.0 years for TU Her, and 34.4 and 23.2 years for Y Psc. One type of oscillation, with a period of 74.3 years, was detected for TY Peg. The cyclic orbital-period variations of TY Peg and Y Psc can be successfully fitted using the light-time effect, and also with magnetic oscillations. In the case of TU Her, the light-time effect is able to explain only one of the cyclic variations, the one with the shorter period.  相似文献

The results of many-year photometric observations of the weak-line T Tauri star V715 Per in the optical (V RI) and infrared (JHK) photometric bands are presented. The period of the star’s lowamplitude brightness variations in the V RI bands detected earlier, 5.23d, is confirmed. This period persists during the entire 14-year time interval of the observations, but its amplitude varies with time. The same period was found in the variations of JHK infrared fluxes, with the brightness variations in the two ranges being almost synchronous. The most probable origin of these variations is periodic eclipses of the star by its own disk, perturbed by its interaction with the magnetosphere (AA Tau-type variations). In addition to the periodic brightness variations, the star also displayed sporadic Algol-like minima characteristic of UX Ori stars during several years (2005–2011). The amplitude of these variations increasedmonotonically, reaching approximately 1m in the V band by the end of 2010, after which the deep fadings ended. During this entire time interval, the amplitude of the periodic variations was observed to decrease. After 2011, the periodic component began to become stronger again. These changes of the photometric activity of V715 Per can be explained by an increasing rate of gas accretion onto the star, decreasing the radius of warped regions of the disk and leading to accompanying Algol-like fadings. This model assumes a low inclination of the circumstellar disk in V715 Per to the line of sight.  相似文献

东营凹陷是一个北断南超的不对称箕状断陷湖盆,湖盆中的常量元素和微量元素含量及有关元素比值呈现出明显的旋回变化特征。而其中元素的分配及比值的变化、组合都在一定程度上指示着古沉积环境的演化历程。通过分析Fe,Mn,Ca,Sr等元素含量和Fe/Mn,Sr/Ba,Sr/Ca,Mg/Ca等元素比值以及碳氧同位素的变化特征。对东营凹陷南斜坡沙四段沉积时期的沉积环境进行了系统的研究。结果反映了沙四段沉积时期的古气候、古盐度、古湖水面和古生产力基本上都显示出了旋回变化的特征。  相似文献
