本文提出粘土矿物(特别是含伊/蒙不规则混层粘土矿物)混合物相的X射线定量分析方法——模拟定量法。着重解决在蒙脱石-不规则伊/蒙混层粘土矿物-伊利石组合中,伊/蒙混层粘土矿物的定量分析计算。模拟定量法是对以前的各种粘土矿物X射线定量分析方法的补充。用纯净的蒙脱石、伊利石、高岭石、绿泥石及各种伊/蒙混层比的伊/蒙混层粘土矿物,配制了各种不同组合的粘土矿物混合样品,制成定向薄膜片,进行了X射线分析,讨论了各种组合的粘土矿物混合物相X射线衍射图谱的特征,并在此基础上提出了粘土混合物相定量分析的方法。  相似文献

根据岩石薄片、X衍射和扫描电镜分析资料,本文研究了巴州坳陷下白垩统—中侏罗统粘土矿物特征,发现粘土矿物分为伊利石、伊/蒙混层和绿泥石三种类型。粘土矿物的类型和含量随深度而变化,形成了伊/蒙混层带、混层迅速转化带和伊利石带。粘土矿物的转化和自生粘土矿物的形成是沉积地层非常重要的成岩变化。  相似文献

为揭示临夏盆地晚渐新世沉积物的矿物组成对环境气候的指示意义, 利用X射线衍射和扫描电子显微分析方法, 对临夏盆地晚渐新世的沉积物的矿物组成以及坡缕石的矿物学特征进行了深入的研究.结果表明, 沉积物中的坡缕石主要为自生成因, 极少量具有碎屑成因.自生成因的坡缕石呈细长丝状的形态特征, 往往沿片状的伊/蒙混层粘土矿物颗粒的边缘交代、生长;碎屑成因的坡缕石呈平直细纤维状的, 以单颗粒形式产出, 与细小的粘土矿物颗粒混杂, 或叠合在片状粘土矿物颗粒的表面.在临夏盆地晚渐新世沉积物中, 下段岩层中的粘土矿物组合为伊利石、伊/蒙混层粘土和高岭石;中段岩层的为伊利石、伊/蒙混层粘土;而上段岩层则为伊利石、伊/蒙混层粘土和绿泥石, 反映在盆地形成之后, 气候演化经历从湿润→冷干的变化过程.而沉积物中坡缕石的含量自下而上逐渐增多, 其分布特征与粘土矿物组合所反映的气候环境变化趋势相吻合.伊利石和伊/蒙混层粘土普遍存在于临夏盆地晚渐新世沉积物中, 伊利石、伊/蒙混层粘土和高岭石的共存表明这些粘土矿物具有不同的来源.坡缕石是干旱、半干旱地区泥灰岩风化以及风成沙漠尘土沉积物的特征矿物, 临夏盆地晚渐新世的沉积物中碎屑成因坡缕石的发现, 表明自~9Ma以来便出现风成黄土的沉积.   相似文献

近年来美国和智利等国家新发现了大量赋存在粘土岩中的锂资源,该类锂资源主要是由火山灰蚀变而成。火山灰沉积水解形成的绿豆岩,广泛分布于我国西南地区,其是否存在锂的富集现象值得研究。笔者对重庆铜梁地区绿豆岩开展了调查研究,通过X射线荧光光谱仪和等离子质谱仪分析,发现绿豆岩中钾的平均含量为8.77%,锂的含量可达663×10~(-6),相当于0.14%的Li_2O含量,远高于固体、露采盐类矿的边界品位0.06%;稀土元素总量可以达到500×10~(-6),接近离子吸附型矿的边界品位。X射线衍射分析显示绿豆岩主要含有石英、长石和粘土矿物,其中粘土的主要成分为伊蒙混层和少量伊利石。伊蒙混层含量占比高的样品较占比低的样品Li的含量偏高。结合粘土及锂的物理化学特性,推断绿豆岩中的Li呈离子形态被粘土矿物吸附。如果这些锂资源能够被综合利用,势必将会产生巨大的经济效益。  相似文献

利用X射线衍射、扫描电镜等分析方法,对黔西威宁岔河陆相剖面二叠系-三叠系界线附近的粘土岩进行了研究.在界线粘土岩中,粘土矿物组合为伊-蒙混层矿物 蒙脱石 绿泥石;碎屑物质中有六方双锥石英和锆石,无球粒;多种化学成分在界线粘土岩中出现了异常.据此得出岔河剖面的二叠系-三叠系事件地层界线确定在第66f层比较合适;第66f和68a这两层粘土岩为此剖面的界线粘土岩;自第66f层底部至第68a层顶部这一段地层为二叠系-三叠系的界线层(组);界线粘土岩的成因可能是由于火山喷发、火山灰降落伴随正常沉积物沉积形成的.  相似文献

利用X射线衍射、扫描电镜、能谱等鉴定分析方法,对湖北兴山大峡口剖面二叠系—三叠系界线附近的8层粘土岩研究发现,各层粘土岩中的主要粘土矿物均为伊/蒙混层矿物,并且各层中均含有数量不等的六方双锥石英和黄铁矿,非粘土矿物为石膏,个别层位中还含有粘土微球粒。该8层粘土岩均为火山物源成因,联系相应的火山事件记录表明该地区在二叠系—三叠系之交经历了多次火山活动。这些火山事件与同时段牙形石的绝灭和延缓复苏呈现一致性。频繁的火山活动是造成二叠纪—三叠纪之交生物及生态系重大转折的主导事件之一。  相似文献

根据粘土矿物的相对含量研究了准噶尔盆地南缘新生界砂岩粘土矿物类型、组合特征及纵、横向分布规律及其主要影响因素。划分出无序伊/蒙混层型、部分有序伊/蒙混层型、伊利石+伊/蒙混层型、蒙皂石型以及含坡缕石型等5类粘土矿物组合。按照伊/蒙混层相对含量的变化,粘土矿物纵向上演化呈正常转化型(伊/蒙混层相对含量降低)、反向转化型(伊/蒙混层相对含量增加)和“S”型(伊/蒙混层相对含量呈曲线变化)3种形式。平面上,伊/蒙混层和伊利石这两类主要粘土矿物从湖盆的边缘向中心分别呈现减少和增多的趋势,湖盆边缘相带以无序伊/蒙混层型、蒙皂石型和含坡缕石型为主,湖盆中心则为部分有序伊/蒙混层型和伊利石+伊/蒙混层型组合等类型。上述分布规律的控制因素主要有沉积环境、构造运动及层序发育等。  相似文献

对黔西滇东地区的贵州普定高窝、贵州六枝中寨和云南宣威密德3条剖面二叠系三叠系界线附近粘土岩的大山物源成因和界线地质意义进行研究发现:在界线粘土岩中,其主要粘土矿物均为伊/蒙混层矿物,见少量高岭石、伊利石或绿泥石;碎屑物质中有六方双锥石英、锆石、长石等与火山活动有关的物质。推断该地区在晚二叠世晚期早三叠世早期至少经历一至两次强烈的火山作用,并且有多个火山喷发源。界线粘土岩中火山物质的富集与贫乏可能与剖面离火山喷发源的远近有关。粘土岩物源物质的成因均为火山喷发,火山灰伴随正常沉积物沉积而形成即凝灰沉积而形成,与华南大部分地区二叠系三叠系界线粘土岩的物源成因是一致的。  相似文献

根据坡缕石粘土的产状和成矿作用,将我国坡缕石粘土矿床划分为5种成因类型:(1)玄武质火山岩成岩蚀变型;(2)火山沉积型;(3)内陆湖相沉积型;(4)岩浆热液型;(5)表生淋滤型。本文初步总结了各类型的地质特征,阐述了主要元素、微量元素、稀土元素和稳定同位素等的地球化学特征,探讨了形成坡缕石粘土的物理化学条件和成矿机理。  相似文献

含煤地层中广泛分布的火山灰蚀变成因的高岭石黏土岩被称为Tonstein。少数情况下,煤系蚀变火山灰层的黏土矿物以蒙脱石和伊蒙混层矿物为主,则分别称为斑脱岩和钾质斑脱岩。尽管中外学者对煤系火山灰蚀变黏土岩已有大量研究,然而,迄今为止这几个术语在定义和使用上在国内外科学界仍然存在争议。煤中火山灰的淋滤作用会对煤的地球化学组成产生重要影响。含煤地层中这类岩石因为分布广泛可以被用作等时标志层,提供地层对比的依据,其中的原生矿物还可以提供绝对年龄信息。有的碱性火山灰层具有找矿指示意义。煤中火山灰蚀变黏土岩夹矸中化学性质相对稳定的元素可以用来推断原始火山灰的组成,提供原始岩浆的成分以及区域地质历史演化方面的信息。  相似文献

The Upper Red Formation (URF) comprises over 1–5 km of late Miocene siliciclastic sediments in the Central Iran Basin. The formation is dominated by volcaniclastic conglomerates and arenites. The prevailing arid conditions during most of the basin's history resulted in deposition of predominantly organic‐poor, red sediments with gypsum and zeolites. This investigation concentrates on the mineralogy and geochemistry of the URF in the southern and northern margins of the basin where the formation was buried to depths of 2.4 and 6.6 km, respectively. Fine fraction mineral separates from the southern margin consist of nearly pure smectite and zeolites at a depth of 400 m and smectite with minor quartz and calcite at 1800 m. Shallow samples (1350 m) from the northern section are rich in smectite, illite/smectite with some discrete illite and chlorite. This assemblage is progressively replaced by discrete illite and chlorite with increasing burial depth so that only these two minerals are found at depths greater than 4300 m. The initial alteration process involved replacement of glass and volcanic lithics by smectite and zeolites in both margins of the basin. Increased depth of burial in the northern margin resulted in the progressive isochemical alteration of smectite to discrete illite and chlorite. Diagenesis of clay assemblages occurred essentially in a closed system. Solute products of glass hydrolysis reactions were retained in highly alkaline, saline ground waters from which zeolites, carbonates and oxides precipitated as cements. It is unlikely that these sediments were ever significantly leached by meteoric waters or by organic acids generated during burial diagenesis. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Wadi Queih basin hosts a ~2,500-m thick Neoproterozoic volcanoclastic successions that unconformably lie over the oldest Precambrian basement. These successions were deposited in alluvial fan, fluviatile, lacustrine, and aeolian depositional environments. Diagenetic minerals from these volcaniclastic successions were studied by X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and analytical electron microscopy. The diagenetic processes recognized include mechanical compaction, cementation, and dissolution. Based on the framework grain–cement relationships, precipitation of the early calcite cement was either accompanied or followed by the development of part of the pore-lining and pore-filling clay cements. Secondary porosity development occurred due to partial to complete dissolution of early calcite cement and feldspar grains. In addition to calcite, several different clay minerals including kaolinite, illite, and chlorite with minor smectite occur as pore-filling and pore-lining cements. Chlorite coating grains helps to retain primary porosity by retarding the envelopment of quartz overgrowths. Clay minerals and their diagenetic assemblages has been distinguished between primary volcaniclastics directly produced by pyroclastic eruptions and epiclastic volcaniclastics derived from erosion of the pre-existing volcanic rocks. Phyllosilicates of the epiclastic rocks display wider compositional variations owing to wide variations in the mineralogical and chemical compositions of the parent material. Most of the phyllosilicates (kaolinite, illite, chlorite, mica, and smectite) are inherited minerals derived from the erosion of the volcanic basement complex, which had undergone hydrothermal alteration. Smectites of the epiclastic rocks are beidellite–montmorillonite derived from the altered volcanic materials of the sedimentary environment. Conversely, phyllosilicate minerals of the pyroclastic rocks are dominated by kaolinite, illite, and mica, which were formed by pedogenetic processes through the hydrothermal influence.  相似文献

对来自海拉尔盆地40口井的白垩系火山碎屑岩样品显微镜观察与分析显示,火山碎屑岩的成岩作用具有特殊性,表现在熔结作用、脱玻化与重结晶作用、粘土矿物形成与转变和交代作用等方面。熔结作用可以区分出熔浆/熔岩熔结、浆屑熔结和热灰熔结三种类型。脱玻化与重结晶作用常常是交织在一起,流纹质玻璃物质经脱玻化,并进一步重结晶,常具有特殊的结构,呈现一种复杂的硅质胶结样式。粘土矿物形成与转变在成岩作用早期就开始了,如蒙脱石化。一些特征性矿物如浊沸石、绿泥石的出现也不代表变质作用的开始,而是特定成岩环境的产物。碳酸盐的交代-胶结和溶解在火山碎屑岩中普遍发育,使得原岩面貌发生了严重的改变。成岩作用的特征揭示海拉尔盆地火山碎屑岩的成分和结构演变,这在测井岩性解释和孔隙度预测上具有意义。  相似文献

以苏北盆地为例,系统研究了火成岩发育区粘土矿物组合特征及其控制因素;建立了粘土矿物转化模式;根据粘土矿物成岩演化特点,进行古地温分析。研究表明,苏北地区粘土矿物的分布主要受埋藏成岩作用、岩浆侵入、母质来源三种因素的影响,发育四种类型的粘土矿物组合和三种粘土矿物转化模式;火山碎屑岩母岩区和基性岩浆侵入区具有特殊的粘土矿物组合和成岩演化模式,前者以富含蒙皂石矿物为特点;后者出现高岭石与伊/蒙有序间层矿物共生组合,并具有不连续的演化序列;苏北盆地短有序I/S矿物出现于镜质组反射率 0.5 %~ 0.5 5 %的深度,伊/蒙间层矿物转变成伊利石在镜质组反射率 0.75 %~ 0.8%,可以用于热成熟度和古地温的估算;而蒙皂石消失的界面则不具有指标意义  相似文献

对广西东攀剖面二叠系顶部20个样品中的粘土矿物进行X射线衍射分析。伊利石结晶度值显示这些样品形成于中晚成岩带的地质环境;伊利石、蒙脱石纵向分布规律和伊利石结晶度与伊利石含量的关系表明伊利石除陆源碎屑来源外,可能有部分为蒙脱石伊利石化而成;伊利石结晶度变化曲线和伊蒙混层类型的变化规律表明,本区粘土矿物组合与含量的变化除受到后期成岩作用的影响外,还明显地受沉积因素的控制;伊利石结晶度、伊利石化学指数、高岭石和伊利石的含量、伊蒙混层类型显示东攀剖面以9、10层界线上方5cm为界,古气候由干冷变为湿暖;水介质由偏碱性向酸性转变。  相似文献

台北凹陷粘土矿物的成岩演化在纵向上虽然存在伊/蒙混层中蒙脱石层的基本正常成岩变化规律,但是,在各成岩阶段其粘土矿物组分的变化中却出现了多种异常现象。主要以鄯善构造为例,经分析研究后提出了该区粘土矿物在各成岩阶段出现异常变化的多种原因,如:存在原沉积母岩,沉积水介质,煤系地层成岩产生的酸性流体,暗色泥岩热演化生成的有机酸及油层中有机酸等因素的影响,这些因素不同程度的作用造成了该区各成岩阶段粘土矿物的异常发育特征。  相似文献

Neoformed minerals in shallow fault rocks are increasingly recognized as key to the behavior of faults in the elasto-frictional regime, but neither the conditions nor the processes which wall-rock is transformed into clay minerals are well understood. Yet, understanding of these mineral transformations is required to predict the mechanical and seismogenic behavior of faults. We therefore present a systematic study of clay gouge mineralogy from 30 outcrops of 17 low-angle normal faults (LANF's) in the American Cordillera to demonstrate the range and type of clay transformations in natural fault gouges. The sampled faults juxtapose a wide and representative range of wall rock types, including sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks under shallow-crustal conditions. Clay mineral transformations were observed in all but one of 28 faults; one fault contains only mechanically derived clay-rich gouge, which formed entirely by cataclasis.Clay mineral transformations observed in gouges show four general patterns: 1) growth of authigenic 1Md illite, either by transformation of fragmental 2M1 illite or muscovite, or growth after the dissolution of K-feldspar. Illitization of fragmental illite–smectite is observed in LANF gouges, but is less common than reported from faults with sedimentary wall rocks; 2) ‘retrograde diagenesis’ of an early mechanically derived chlorite-rich gouge to authigenic chlorite–smectite and saponite (Mg-rich tri-octahedral smectite); 3) reaction of mechanically derived chlorite-rich gouges with Mg-rich fluids at low temperatures (50–150 °C) to produce localized lenses of one of two assemblages: sepiolite + saponite + talc + lizardite or palygorskite +/− chlorite +/− quartz; and 4) growth of authigenic di-octahedral smectite from alteration of acidic volcanic wall rocks. These transformation groups are consistent with patterns observed in fault rocks elsewhere. The main controls for the type of neoformed clay in gouge appear to be wall-rock chemistry and fluid chemistry, and temperatures in the range of 60–180 °C.  相似文献

Clay mineralogy and major-element geochemistry of 35 surface sediment samples collected in 21 major to moderate rivers of Luzon, Philippines are used to evaluate the present chemical weathering process. The clay mineral assemblage consists mainly of smectite (average 86%) with minor kaolinite (9%) and chlorite (5%) and very scarce illite (1%), and does not show strong island-wide differences. The major element results of both bulk and clay-fraction sediments indicate that the formation of clay minerals is accompanied by leaching of Ca and Na first and of Fe and Mn thereafter during the chemical weathering process. A low-moderate chemical weathering degree of bulk sediments and a moderate-intensive degree of clay-fraction sediments are obtained in Luzon rivers based on proxies of chemical index of alteration (CIA) and smectite crystallinity. It is suggested that the majority of andesitic–basaltic volcanic and sedimentary rocks along with the tectonically active geological setting and sub-tropical East Asian monsoon climate are responsible for the predominance of smectite in the clay mineral assemblage.  相似文献

The work is devoted to specific features of sedimentogenesis and multistage alterations of eolian volcanic ash and epiclastic clay in paleopeat bogs and their transformation into ortho- and paratonsteins, respectively. The hydrolysis of aluminosilicate minerals and volcanic glass and their alteration into monotonous submonomineral clay, which is compositionally similar to epiclastic clay, is associated with the diagenesis stage. During the catagenesis, submonomineral clay is lithified and transformed into tonsteins, which undergo recrystallization as the temperature increases. Clay minerals are replaced by illite and chlorite, while tonsteins are transformed into metatonsteins. Paragenetic relationships of clay minerals are discussed.  相似文献

Quaternary deposits in the southeastern part of the Olduvai basin, northern Tanzania, consist of lake margin deposits, followed by a series of fluvial sediments. The clay mineral fraction of the lake margin deposits (Bed I and lower part of Bed II) is composed of smectite and subordinate illite. All smectite is largely dioctahedral and shows indications for a limited degree of irregular interstratification by illite. In the overlying fluvial deposits (Beds II–IV), illite is the most abundant clay mineral. Smectite only occurs in lower parts of the fluvial deposits (up to the middle of Bed III), where it generally shows a high degree of irregular interstratification. Differences in clay mineral composition between the lake margin deposits and the fluvial deposits record differences in sediment source area and degree of alteration. Dioctahedral smectite in the lake margin deposits and the oldest fluvial deposits is derived from a region with volcanic material extending to the east and south of the basin, which also supplies a certain amount of illite. Illite in the fluvial deposits of Bed IV originates from an area with a metamorphic bedrock to the west and north. Alteration of detrital clay minerals resulted in Mg-enrichment of dioctahedral smectite in part of the lake margin deposits and partial illitization of smectite in the older fluvial deposits. Formation of clay minerals during diagenesis or soil development is not documented by analysis of the total clay fraction.  相似文献
