Remotely sensed thermal infrared (TIR) data have been widely used to retrieve land surface temperature (LST). LST is an important parameter in the studies of urban thermal environment and dynamics. In the study, an attempt has been made using LANDSAT 8 thermal imagery to compute LST and the associated land cover parameters viz; land surface emissivity (LSE), normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), normalized difference built-up index (NDBI) and normalized difference water index (NDWI). Landsat 8 TIRS band 10 & 11 (thermal bands) during 21 Oct. 2016, 22 Nov.2016, 24 Dec. 2016 and 09 Jan. 2017 were processed for LST analysis. However, band 5 & band 4 of the imagery was processed for NDVI, band 6 & band 5 for NDBI and band 2 & band 5 for NDWI analysis. LST has been derived from both the bands 10 &11 and validated by in-situ observations on the date and time of satellite overpass from the study area. Band 10 derived LST have shown much temperature difference while comparing with the in-situ observations. However, LST derived from band 11 found similar & close to the in-situ measurements. Relationship between band 11 results and in-situ observed measurements were developed, which has showing a strong correlation with (r2 = 0.991). Land surface emissivity were also evaluated which shows variation in different land cover surfaces like vegetation, settlement, forest cover and water body. The study has proven that land surface temperature derived from satellite band 11 is the actual surface temperature of the study area. 相似文献

Magmatic conditi ons inferred from the composition of the FishCanyon Tuff by Whitney &Stormer (J. Petrology, 26, 72662(1985)) and Stormer & Whitney (Am. Miner. 70, 5264(1985)) differ from studies of other ash-flow tuff and calderasystems, in that they consider the magma to have been unzonedand to have resided at {small tilde}9 kb pressure just priorto eruption. This article presents the first palaeomagnetic results from 13 independent cooling units in the Chiapanecan Volcanic Arc (ChVA). Six sites were directly dated by Ar–Ar or K–Ar methods: their dates range from 2.14 to 0.23 Ma. We isolated the characteristic palaeodirections for all 13 lavas. Eleven non-transitional directions yield a mean direction with inclination, I?=?30.7°, declination, D?=?4.1°, and precision parameters k?=?63 and α95 = 5.8°. The corresponding mean palaeopole position is Plat = 83.3°, Plong = 203.8°, K?=?227, A 95 = 5.1°. The mean inclination is in good agreement with the expected value for the last 5 million years, as derived from the synthetic North American polar wander path [Besse and Courtillot 2002, Apparent and true polar wander and the geometry of the magnetic field in the last 200 million years: Journal of Geophysical Research, v. 107, no. B11, p. 2300], but a measured rotation of the palaeodeclination of about 8° with respect to the expected direction suggests the possibility of a clockwise rotation of the studied ChVA units. We have estimated the characteristics of palaeosecular variation through study of the scatter of virtual geomagnetic poles, obtaining a palaeosecular variation parameter S b = 14.5° with upper limit S U = 19.6° and lower limit S L = 11.7°, in reasonable agreement with the fit of model G [McFadden et al., 1988, Dipole/quadrupole family modeling of paleosecular variation: Journal of Geophysical Research, v. 93, no. B10, p. 11583–11588; 1991, Reversals of the Earth's magnetic field and temporal variations of the dynamo families: Journal of Geophysical Research, v. 96, no. B3, p. 3923–3933] to the Johnson et al. [2008, Recent investigations of the 0–5 Ma geomagnetic field recorded by lava flows: Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, v. 9, no. 4, ID Q04032, doi:10.1029/2007GC001696] databases for the last 5 million years. In those cases in which age determinations are available, the polarity obtained for the studied flows is consistent with their stratigraphic positions, except for the Huitepec site, which probably reflects the transitional geomagnetic regime prior to the Matuyama–Brunhes geomagnetic reversal. 相似文献

The demand for graphite resources has been increasing due to its extensive use. Graphite deposits in China are mainly distributed in Heilongjiang, Innner Mogolia, Sichuan, Shanxi and Shandong, characterized by “one old & one new” and “many in east & few in west”. There are mainly three genetic types, including regional metamorphic type, contact metamorphic type and hydrothermal type. Here we provide a summary of the metallogenic regularity and 15 metallogenic belts in China based on the study of the geology of national graphite deposits. In recent years, great progress has been made in the research of genesis, mineral exploration and evaluation on graphite deposits, which indicate great potential for graphite resource in China. The authors suggest that the research on geochronology, ore sources, the genesis of crystalline graphite and exploration for hydrothermal graphite in China should be heightened. 相似文献
