In this paper, the hydrodynamic characteristic of a synthetic jet steered underwater vehicle is studied. The steering motion studied is the lateral motion and the yaw motion. The lateral motion is induced through the in-phase work of this two actuators and the yaw motion is realized through the out-of-phase work. The vehicle studied is REMUS AUV with synthetic jet actuator mounted inside. The hydrodynamic characteristic of the vehicle under different cruising speed is studied. The driving parameters of the SJ actuator keep invariant in different cases. When the two actuators work in phase, the average steering force is smaller than the thrust of the isolated actuator and keeps nearly invariant under different cruising speed. When the two actuators work out of phase, the average steering moment also keeps invariant with cruising speed. The mathematical model of the additional drag of the vehicle, the thrust of the actuator, the steering force as well as the steering moment is given. The velocity distribution is also given to assistant the analysis in this paper. From the analysis given it can be known the steering method based on SJ is realized through position control other than velocity control.  相似文献

A dynamic response analysis in the frequency domain is presented for risers subjected to combined wave and current loading. Considering the effects of current, a modified wave spectrum is adopted to compute the linearized drag force. An additional drag force convolution term is added to the linearized drag force spectrum, therefore the error is reduced which arises from the truncation of higher order terms in the drag force auto-correlation function. An expression of linearized drag force spectrum is given taking the relative velocity into account. It is found that the additional term is a fold convolution integral. In this paper dynamic responses of risers are investigated, while the influence of floater motion on risers is considered. The results demonstrate that the accuracy of the present method reaches the degree required in time domain analysis.  相似文献

拖曳锚由于其承载性能和深水中便于安装被广泛应用于海洋工程系泊系统中,如:适用于悬链式系泊系统的传统拖曳锚和适用于绷紧式系泊系统的法向承力锚。拖曳锚安装过程中涉及诸多运动特性:锚板运动方向、系缆点处拖曳力和拖曳角及运动轨迹。基于大变形有限元分析技术耦合的欧拉-拉格朗日法,并引入缆绳方程,建立起锚-缆绳-海床土耦合作用的有限元分析模型;模拟了拖曳锚在均质和线性强度黏土中的嵌入安装过程,研究了锚板运动方向、系缆点处拖曳力和拖曳角及运动轨迹等运动特性;通过与已有的有限元分析方法及理论方法进行对比,验证了该分析模型的有效性;与已有的有限元分析方法相比,提出的分析模型有效地提高了计算效率。  相似文献

The drag-induced damping in a mooring cable due to combined first- and second-order wave excited motion of a moored vessel has been determined by statistical linearisation. A dynamic stiffness approach developed elsewhere is used to deal with the dynamics of the mooring cables. The power spectral densities of low- and wave-frequency responses are obtained which clearly show the influence of mooring line damping. The non-Gaussian probability density functions (pdf) and expected crossing rates of vessel responses and dynamic cable tensions are determined using the Kac–Seigert technique, and the influence of drag damping is highlighted.  相似文献

Based on the linear wave theory and model experiment results, the wave-current force coefficients for isolated pile are investigated, using Morison's formula to calculate the wave-current force. A formula is'presented for determining the relative coefficients of the drag, in which the feature value of the wave-current field is. proposed and used as an important parameter. According to the maximum wave-current force measured in the experiment, the coefficients of the drag force and inertia force are determined by statistical method of two-variable regression so that both of them are fitted in optimum.  相似文献

The integrated equations of deep sea mooring lines in static equilibrium under consideration of gravity force and line elongation are obtained. The most useful forms of the equations for designing deep sea mooring system are those in which horizontal displacement and horizontal and vertical components of tension are obtained as functions of line length, water depth, critical tension and unit weight of line.When the dynamic simulation of a buoy system is carried out, line tensions acting on the buoy should be represented as a linear function of displacement. Therefore the linearisation method is introduced by use of linearisation coefficient matrix. Translation formulae for the matrix from two to three dimensions is also presented.The influence of line elongation on the horizontal component of tension in a taut mooring condition is important, therefore the elongation of stretched deep sea mooring line must be considered carefully. Also, the scaling law under consideration of line elongation in static equilibrium, which is necessary in estimation from a small sized experiment, is discussed.  相似文献

A frequency-domain cumulant spectral analysis method is developed in this study to estimate the higher-order statistics of the linear oscillator responses driven by Morison wave force. The fourth-order cumulant function of the nonlinear drag force is formulated in terms of the autocorrelation functions of water particle velocity. Price's theorem is applied to evaluate the associated higher-order joint moments. Three-dimensional Fourier Transforms are employed to obtain the trispectra of Morison force and oscillator responses. The estimated force and response kurtosis are in good agreement with those obtained from time-domain simulations; while the proposed method is found to be much more efficient. The numerical results also show that the drag force cubicization based on the least square approximation results in an overestimation of the kurtosis values; in addition, it is necessary to include the joint moments of order higher than eighth.  相似文献

在亚临界区雷诺数下,采用脱体涡模拟方法对弱电解质中电磁力作用下圆柱绕流场及其升阻力特性进行了数值模拟与分析。结果表明,电磁力可以提高圆柱体边界层内的流体动能,延缓圆柱体近壁面流动分离,减弱绕流场中流向和展向大尺度涡的强度,减小圆柱体阻力及其升力脉动幅值;当电磁力作用参数大于某个临界值后,流动分离角消失,在圆柱体尾部产生射流现象,电磁力产生净推力作用,出现负阻力现象,而且升力脉动幅值显著减小且接近于零。  相似文献

This paper provides a practical method for estimating the drag force on a vegetation field exposed to long-crested (2D) and short-crested (3D) nonlinear random waves. This is achieved by using a simple drag formula together with an empirical drag coefficient given by Mendez et al. (1999), in conjunction with a stochastic approach. Here the waves are assumed to be a stationary narrow-band random process. Effects of nonlinear waves are included by adopting the Forristall (2000) wave crest height distribution representing both 2D and 3D random waves.  相似文献

The paper describes a method for stochastic representation of the hydrodynamic drag forces on offshore structures subjected to irregular waves. It is shown that, for the case of zero current, it is possible to construct a genuinely quadratic representation of the drag force which reproduces the statistical properties of the standard formulation of the drag force very closely, and which at the same time has sufficient flexibility to ensure a spectral density that accurately approximates the desired force spectrum. The distinct advantage of the new representation is that it brings dynamic analysis of extensive linear structures back into the frequency domain.  相似文献

The stochastic properties of the drag force maxima on a circular cylinder subjected to nonlinear random waves are investigated. Unseparated laminar high Reynolds number flow is considered. A simplified approach based on second order Stokes waves is presented, including the sum-frequency effect only. It is demonstrated how a drag force formula valid for regular linear waves can be used to find the cumulative distribution function of individual drag force maxima for nonlinear irregular waves. The results of the three-dimensional numerical simulation for the study of the stratification effect and wave processes associated with it on the drag of the underwater part of the hummocked ice are considered. The numerical model is based on the sampling of equations on a rectangular grid using the immersed boundary method that makes it possible to explicitly describe the interaction of moving ice with a stratified flow. The dependence of the drag force on the Froude number was established based on these calculations. This dependence has expressed points of maximum and minimum. The form of this dependence is common for the considered models of ice keels. The obtained estimations of drag force consistent with the known results of laboratory experiments show the need for the construction of parametrizations of the drag coefficient on the ice–ocean boundary, taking into account wave effects.  相似文献

The reduction of energy consumption for high speed submersible bodies is an important challenge in hydrodynamic researches. Supercavitation is a hydrodynamic process in which a submerged body gets enveloped in a layer of gas. As the density and viscosity of the gas is much lower than that of seawater, skin friction drag can be reduced considerably. If the nose of the body (cavitator) has a proper shape, the attendant pressure drag remains at a very low value, so the overall body drag reduces significantly. Total drag force acting on the supercavitating self-propelled projectiles dictates the amount of fuel consumption and thrust requirements for the propulsion system to maintain a required cavity at the operating speed. Therefore, any reduction in the drag coefficient, by modifying the shape of the cavitator to achieve optimal shape, will lead to a decrease of this force. The main objective of this study is to optimize the axisymmetric cavitator shape in order to decrease the drag coefficient of a specified after-body length and body velocity in the axisymmetric supercavitating potential flow. To achieve this goal, a multi-objective optimization problem is defined. NSGA II, which stands for Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm, is used as the optimization method in this study. Design parameters and constraints are obtained according to the supercavitating flow characteristics and cavitator modeling. Then objective functions will be generated using the Linear Regression Method. The results of the NSGA II algorithm are compared with those generated by the weighted sum method as a classic optimization method. The predictions of the NSGA II algorithm seem to be excellent. As a result, the optimal cavitator’s shapes are similar to a cone.  相似文献

This is achieved by using a simple drag formula based on two empirical drag coefficients given by Méndez et al. (1999) and Méndez and Losada (2004), respectively, in conjunction with a stochastic approach. Here the waves are assumed to be a stationary narrow-band random process and propagating in shallow waters. The effects of shoaling and breaking waves are included by adopting the Méndez et al. (2004) wave height distribution. Results are presented and discussed for different slopes, and an example of calculation is also provided to demonstrate the application of the method.  相似文献

为定量研究多冰脊之间的尾流遮掩作用对海冰漂移运动的影响,物理模型试验(试验有限水深为0.45 m)测量了多冰脊拖曳力的衰减变化。冰脊模型选用底角为45°的等腰直角三角形,选取了4种入水深度、9种冰脊间距进行测量。试验得到了前后冰脊拖曳力及其比值在尾流遮掩情况下的变化规律。前冰脊拖曳力与单冰脊情况一致,与冰脊速度的平方保持线性关系;而后冰脊在间距较小时出现了反向拖曳力,随冰脊间距的增大,后冰脊拖曳系数先减小再增大至不变。前后冰脊拖曳力比值的变化规律可以用指数遮掩函数来描述,该遮掩函数与冰脊间距和入水深度有关而与流速无关。通过与现有海冰模式中的遮掩函数对比,研究结论增强了该指数公式的适用性,加强了对海冰动力学模式中遮掩函数的理解。  相似文献

This paper deals with drag forces due to irregular waves on a vertical slender structure in the splash zone, i.e. in the vicinity of still-water free surface, by considering the inundation effect due to instantaneous wave elevation. The force turns out to be a third-order quantity with respect to wave elevation. The focus of this paper is however limited to extreme value prediction of this force in stochastic waves. Based upon a transformation of random variables and use of the Rice formula, the mean up-crossing rate of inundation drag force is obtained in the frequency domain both by direct numerical integration and asymptotic evaluation for high levels using the Laplace method. The extreme value distribution of this force is then established by the Poisson probability law assuming independent up-crossing events. The proposed method agrees very well with time-domain simulations both for the mean up-crossing rate and the extreme value prediction. The effect of correlation between wave elevation and horizontal water particle velocity and the presence of current have been studied.  相似文献

This study proposed a method to obtain hydrodynamic forces and coefficients for a flexible riser undergoing the vortex-induced vibration (VIV), based on the measured strains collected from the scale-model testing with the Reynolds numbers ranging from 1.34E5 to 2.35E5. The riser is approximated as a tensioned spatial beam, and an inverse method based on the FEM of spatial beam is adopted for the calculation of hydrodynamic forces in the cross flow (CF) and inline (IL) directions. The drag coefficients and vortex-induced force coefficients are obtained through the Fourier Series Theory. Finally, the hydrodynamic characteristics of a flexible riser model undergoing the VIV in a uniform flow are carefully investigated. The results indicate that the VIV amplifies the drag coefficient, and the drag coefficient does not change with time when the CF VIV is stable. Only when the VIVs in the CF and IL directions are all steady vibrations, the vortex-induced force coefficients keep as a constant with time, and under “lock-in” condition, whether the added-mass coefficient changes with time or not, the oscillation frequency of the VIV keeps unchanged. It further shows that the CF excitation coefficients at high frequency are much smaller than those at the dominant frequency, while, the IL excitation coefficients are in the same range. The axial distributions of the excitation and damping region at the dominant frequency and high frequency are approximately consistent in the CF direction, while, in the IL direction, there exists a great difference.  相似文献

Concepts are developed which lead to an improved understanding of the characteristics of the wave forces that act on deep-water, jacket-type offshore structures. These concepts are the result of comprehensive examinations of both the inertia and the drag force components of the wave excitation. It is shown that, under conditions which are of practical importance, the resultants of the inertia and drag force components can both be expressed in terms of the motion of the sea surface. Fundamental modal forces which govern fundamental modal responses for offshore structures are also examined, and the relationships between these modal forces and the resultants of the inertia and drag force components are established. The structural response itself is further examined, and valuable information is developed which is believed to be of practical importance.  相似文献

Two numerical simulation models to predict large-amplitude motions of floating platforms are presented. The first method is based on the application of the relative-velocity formulation of Morison's equation for force calculations. The second method developed in this work uses the three-dimensional potential theory in time domain. In this method, both the Froude-Krylov and scattering forces are calculated by considering finite wave amplitude effects in random waves. The effect of various nonlinearities on the low-frequency motions and high-frequency tether-tension response of a tension leg platform are studied using these simulation models in conjunction with power spectral methods. The presence of current and the nonlinear drag force are observed to have a significant effect on the low-frequency motions and tether tensions.  相似文献
