The extensive application of digital enhancement and filtering as a powerful tool for aeromagnetic interpretation, not only of high resolution but also of regional data, requires an improved levelling. Two microlevelling techniques were thus compared in order to find an effective but relatively simple procedure to remove, or at least to reduce, residual magnetic errors remaining after standard levelling processes. This study was carried out on regional aeromagnetic data recently acquired at high magnetic latitudes along the Transantarctic Mountains in Antarctica, where it is particularly critical to remove time-dependent magnetic variations. Two-dimensional FFT filters applied to the gridded data, namely the Butterworth and a directional cosine filter, proved to be more effective than previously proposed one-dimensional space-domain filters in the reduction of the 'residual corrugation' not removed by statistical levelling. Tectonic interpretation of trends detected in the total field magnetic anomaly map and in the 3D analytic signal improved after application of frequency-domain microlevelling. However, we also show that when interpreting microlevelled data, two factors must be considered: (i) the possible presence of real geological trends aligned along the flight lines; (ii) modifications in the results yielded by depth estimates of magnetic sources due to the FFT filters applied during the microlevelling procedure. Such changes were seen both in the well-established 2D FFT method, based on the slope of the energy spectrum, and in the more recent 3D Euler deconvolution technique. Overall our results indicate that microlevelling could profitably be applied to older gridded aeromagnetic data sets in Antarctica, thus improving the accuracy and geological significance of future regional magnetic compilations, as already seen in other continents.  相似文献

We show how a denoising technique based on the wavelet transform can be used to deal with localized noise related to DC electrified railway lines. This method, which performs localized and sharp filtering of cultural noise, was applied to high‐resolution aeromagnetic data acquired in the Phlegrean volcanic area, southern Italy, in 1999 and 2001. The helicopter‐borne survey was aimed at giving new detailed insights into the distribution of the magnetization of the area and, therefore, into the volcanological characteristics of the region. The surveyed area is characterized by the presence of towns, buildings and DC electrified railway lines whose magnetic effects influenced the measurements and were responsible for some of the measured anomalies. This cultural noise has, therefore, to be minimized as much as possible in order to allow the data to be interpreted accurately. Due to the excellent space‐scale localization properties of the discrete wavelet transform, the cultural disturbance was removed very precisely, leaving the field in the adjacent areas unchanged.  相似文献

在重力异常分离中,频率域滤波分离方法是以全局数据频谱特征设计针对性的滤波器实现的.滤波器参数与空间位置无关,因此无法针对局部数据频谱特征动态调整滤波器参数.针对该局限性,在小波域滤波理论和优化滤波方法的基础上,本文研究提出了小波域优化位变滤波法,该方法具有空间变化滤波能力,在不同空间位置实现不同的滤波器特性,从而能实现局部数据频谱与全局数据频谱存在较大差异的重力异常分离问题.理论模型数据分离实验结果表明,在局部数据频谱与全局数据频谱差异较大的情况下,该方法相对于Butterworth滤波和优化滤波等方法具有优势.最后,用一个实例进行检验计算,体现了所提方法技术的效果和应用前景.  相似文献

小波束源有很强的局部性和方向性,它可以很容易的实现局部照明和偏移,除此之外,它的偏移效果也要好于常规的偏移方法。本文介绍了基于框架理论的小波束叠前深度偏移的基本原理。我们解释了基于Gaussian函数的G-D框架。小波束分解提供了局部空间和方向上的信息。我们在小波域中,分别应用矩形窗和Gaussian窗合成了小波束源和小波束记录,并基于傅立叶有限差分算子,对marmousi模型进行了叠前深度偏移试算。通过对单个,以及多个小波束源偏移结果对比分析,验证了Gaussian小波束叠前深度偏移方法的有效性。  相似文献

针对地震勘探随机噪声的压制,本文应用拉伸厄米特高斯函数设计出方向可控滤波器.根据时空域上随机噪声的无方向性与有效信号的有向性的区别,通过局部数字特征,对数据进行选择后重组信号.方向选择性的增加,使得滤波过程能与不同方向的轴进行匹配,噪声被压制的同时保持信号的幅度;方向可调性,使得计算效率提高,且所需存储空间减少.仿真实验表明,采用此方法,信号保幅性和去噪效果均比传统的小波算法以及Curvelet变换好,在-5db信噪比下,本文方法保幅度为92.99%,信噪比提升221.774%,在实际地震信号处理中有明显的抑制噪声、保持有用信号的效果.  相似文献

Expanding the magnetic field intensity measured at a constant altitude in a Taylor series allows the efficient continuation of such fields onto any given arbitrary surface. This is particularly useful for draping of constant altitude surveys in areas of rugged topography. The Taylor series approach allows the continuation to points below the level of the shallowest magnetic source present. Low-pass filtering is necessary to ensure the convergence of the series. The filtering parameters can be estimated from the power spectrum of the observed field and the maximum continuation distance. A synthetic data example shows that convergence of the series is slowest in areas of high vertical gradients, usually associated with body edges, and large (downward) continuation distances. The Taylor series method is used to drape data from a constant barometric altitude survey from central British Columbia (Canada) onto a surface with a constant terrain clearance. This survey is then joined to an adjacent survey flown in the draped mode. The resolution and amplitudes of the two surveys is seen to be comparable and results in a more coherent combined data set than that where no computational draping is done.  相似文献

Spectral filtering was compared with traditional mean spatial filters to assess their ability to identify and remove striped artefacts in digital elevation data. The techniques were applied to two datasets: a 100 m contour derived digital elevation model (DEM) of southern Norway and a 2 m LiDAR DSM of the Lake District, UK. Both datasets contained diagonal data artefacts that were found to propagate into subsequent terrain analysis. Spectral filtering used fast Fourier transformation (FFT) frequency data to identify these data artefacts in both datasets. These were removed from the data by applying a cut filter, prior to the inverse transform. Spectral filtering showed considerable advantages over mean spatial filters, when both the absolute and spatial distribution of elevation changes made were examined. Elevation changes from the spectral filtering were restricted to frequencies removed by the cut filter, were small in magnitude and consequently avoided any global smoothing. Spectral filtering was found to avoid the smoothing of kernel based data editing, and provided a more informative measure of data artefacts present in the FFT frequency domain. Artefacts were found to be heterogeneous through the surfaces, a result of their strong correlations with spatially autocorrelated variables: landcover and landsurface geometry. Spectral filtering performed better on the 100 m DEM, where signal and artefact were clearly distinguishable in the frequency data. Spectrally filtered digital elevation datasets were found to provide a superior and more precise representation of the landsurface and be a more appropriate dataset for any subsequent geomorphological applications. The interaction between the solar wind and the Earth's magnetic field produces time varying currents in the ionosphere and magnetosphere. The currents cause variations of the geomagnetic field at the surface of the earth and induce an electric field which drives currents in oil and gas pipelines and other long conductors. Geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) interfere with electrical surveys of pipelines and possibly contribute to pipeline corrosion.In this paper, we introduce a general method which can be used to determine voltage and current profiles for buried pipelines, when the external geoelectric field and the geometry and electromagnetic properties of the pipeline are known. The method is based on the analogy between pipelines and transmission lines, which makes it possible to use the distributed source transmission line (DSTL) theory. The general equations derived for the current and voltage profiles are applied in special cases. A particular attention is paid to the Finnish natural gas pipeline network.This paper, related to a project about GIC in the Finnish pipeline, thus provides a tool for understanding space weather effects on pipelines. Combined with methods of calculating the geoelectric field during magnetic storms, the results are applicable to forecasting of geomagnetically induced currents and voltages on pipelines in the future.  相似文献

In tight gas sands, the signal‐to‐noise ratio of nuclear magnetic resonance log data is usually low, which limits the application of nuclear magnetic resonance logs in this type of reservoir. This project uses the method of wavelet‐domain adaptive filtering to denoise the nuclear magnetic resonance log data from tight gas sands. The principles of the maximum correlation coefficient and the minimum root mean square error are used to decide on the optimal basis function for wavelet transformation. The feasibility and the effectiveness of this method are verified by analysing the numerical simulation results and core experimental data. Compared with the wavelet thresholding denoise method, this adaptive filtering method is more effective in noise filtering, which can improve the signal‐to‐noise ratio of nuclear magnetic resonance data and the inversion precision of transverse relaxation time T2 spectrum. The application of this method to nuclear magnetic resonance logs shows that this method not only can improve the accuracy of nuclear magnetic resonance porosity but also can enhance the recognition ability of tight gas sands in nuclear magnetic resonance logs.  相似文献

Inversion of gravity and/or magnetic data attempts to recover the density and/or magnetic susceptibility distribution in a 3D earth model for subsequent geological interpretation. This is a challenging problem for a number of reasons. First, airborne gravity and magnetic surveys are characterized by very large data volumes. Second, the 3D modelling of data from large‐scale surveys is a computationally challenging problem. Third, gravity and magnetic data are finite and noisy and their inversion is ill posed so regularization must be introduced for the recovery of the most geologically plausible solutions from an infinite number of mathematically equivalent solutions. These difficulties and how they can be addressed in terms of large‐scale 3D potential field inversion are discussed in this paper. Since potential fields are linear, they lend themselves to full parallelization with near‐linear scaling on modern parallel computers. Moreover, we exploit the fact that an instrument’s sensitivity (or footprint) is considerably smaller than the survey area. As multiple footprints superimpose themselves over the same 3D earth model, the sensitivity matrix for the entire earth model is constructed. We use the re‐weighted regularized conjugate gradient method for minimizing the objective functional and incorporate a wide variety of regularization options. We demonstrate our approach with the 3D inversion of 1743 line km of FALCON gravity gradiometry and magnetic data acquired over the Timmins district in Ontario, Canada. Our results are shown to be in good agreement with independent interpretations of the same data.  相似文献

本文介绍一个把小波多尺度分析、表面刻痕分析以及位场频率域解释理论和反演方法结合起来的数据处理、反演解释和信息提取的方法系统.这一方法系统简称为区域重力场多尺度刻痕分析方法,应用于刻画地壳分层的三维密度结构、地壳变形带分布和构造单元分区.多尺度刻痕分析包含频率域重力场场源分层、重力场小波变换多尺度分解、场源分层深度及密度扰动反演、分层刻痕分析和构造边界定位四个子系统.文中扼要地介绍这四个子系统基本原理、方法技术及应用效果.从地球物理探测到大地构造学发现,是一个多学科综合研究的探索过程.要取得重大研究成果,必须研发和组合来自不同学科的多个新方法技术,使多学科综合研究有宽厚的理论支撑.本文介绍的四个子系统组合的理论支撑分别来自应用数学、地球物理学和信息科学.  相似文献

消除面波是地震数据处理中的一个重要内容.本文提出了基于15°波动方程的深度滤波方法.由于面波与有效反射波具有不同的传播深度,可利用波场向下延拓方法将二者进行波场分离.把向下延拓后的波场中集中在地表附近的面波能量切除后,再将波场重新延拓回原始的观测面,达到去除干扰的目的.实际资料处理显示:方法计算稳定,消除面波能力强,能更好地保持波场的有效成份和幅值,符合波场的实际传播状态,表明该方法正确可行.  相似文献

Regional–residual separation is essential in gravity and magnetic data interpretation and a variety of techniques have been proposed. Graphical determination of the regional allows geological information to be taken into account. Upward continuation can be used to obtain the regional field either empirically or using some hypothesis about the geology. In some cases, a matched filter can be designed and used to separate deep and shallow sources. Simple low pass filtering has also been used but without much success. Here we propose to use a non-linear filter approach to remove gravity and magnetic anomalies smaller than a given width. This technique attempts to mimic the graphical separation method. The results from synthetic models are presented as well as the results from a case study in eastern Canada and compared to regional gravity and magnetic anomalies obtained by other techniques. Contrary to the regional fields obtained by upward continuation, non-linear filtering does not have any physical meaning. However, its main advantage is that it gives a regional component of the gravity or magnetic field similar to the one obtained from a graphical separation.  相似文献

We present a novel methodology for 3D gravity/magnetic data inversion. It combines two algorithms for preliminary separation of sources and an original approach to 3D inverse problem solution. The first algorithm is designed to separate sources in depth and to remove the shallow ones. It is based on subsequent upward and downward data continuation. For separation in the lateral sense, we approximate the given observed data by the field of several 3D line segments. For potential field data inversion we apply a new method of local corrections. The method is efficient and does not require trial-and-error forward modeling. It allows retrieving unknown 3D geometry of anomalous objects in terms of restricted bodies of arbitrary shape and contact surfaces. For restricted objects, we apply new integral equations of gravity and magnetic inverse problems. All steps of our methodology are demonstrated on the Kolarovo gravity anomaly in the Danube Basin of Slovakia.  相似文献

面波是地震勘探中常见的一种相干干扰,它的存在严重的影响着地震记录的信噪比.由于面波和有效波具有相关性且面波的频带和有效波的频带总有重叠的部分,在时域或频域二者不能明显分开,因此在时域或频域采用切除法压制面波会造成子波畸变和有效信息的损失.本文提出一种利用方向导数迹变换压制面波的新方法.文中推导了方向导数迹变换的反变换公式.地震记录的方向导数迹变换(Directional Derivative Trace Transform,DDTT)由两部分组成,一部分主要体现面波,能量集中;另一部分主要体现反射有效波,能量相对分散.根据这两部分能确定压制面波的阈值,通过这一阈值在正变换中压制面波后,再通过反变换返回时-空域就可达到压制面波的目的.理论和实际数据的处理都取得了令人满意的效果,表明了本文提出方法的可行性和有效性.  相似文献

The prospecting of densely urbanized areas by the measurement of magnetic and electric natural fields is severely hampered by electromagnetic (EM) noise. Active man-made EM noise sources can generally be considered fixed in space, thus affecting the magnetotelluric (MT) signals of a measuring site mainly along their polarization directions. Taking advantage of the impulsive nature of polarized EM noise, a time-domain directional noise cancelling (DNC) technique is proposed. The comparison of noisy data with data predicted, using a low noise reference signal or with data interpolated whenever no reference is available, allows the detection of the most likely noise sources with prevailing directional patterns using a Bayes's criterion. The DNC approach is general and can be adapted, depending on the reference signal used (single-site or remote-reference). In field data, hodograms of the prediction residuals basically confirm the directional noise model assumed in DNC. An example is presented in which the DNC technique has been applied to a single-site MT survey carried out in northern Italy, where the signal was heavily corrupted by noise with prevailing directional properties due to the densely urbanized area. MT apparent resistivities and phases obtained at the site of the survey before and after DNC are presented and discussed.  相似文献

Recent improvements in the local wavenumber approach have made it possible to estimate both the depth and model type of buried bodies from magnetic data. However, these improvements require calculation of third‐order derivatives of the magnetic field, which greatly enhances noise. As a result, the improvements are restricted to data of high quality. We present an alternative method to estimate both the depth and model type using the first‐order local wavenumber approach without the need for third‐order derivatives of the field. Our method is based on normalization of the first‐order local wavenumber anomalies and provides a generalized equation to estimate the depth of some 2D magnetic sources regardless of the source structure. Information about the nature of the sources is obtained after the source location has been estimated. The method was tested using synthetic magnetic anomaly data with random noise and using three field examples.  相似文献

To interpret geophysical anomaly maps, it is necessary to filter out regional and sometimes noise components. Each measured value in a gravity survey consists of different components. Upward continuation (UC) is one of the most widely used filters. The shortcoming of this filter is not to consider the spatial structure of the data, and also the fact that the trial and error approach and expert’s judgment are needed to adjust it. This study aims to compare the factorial kriging analysis (FKA) and UC filters for separation of local and regional anomalies in the gravity data of a hydrocarbon field in the southeast sedimentary basins of the East Vietnam Sea. As shown in this paper, FKA method permits to filter out all of the identified structures, while the UC filter does not possess this capability. Therefore, beside general and classic filtering methods, the FKA method can be used as a strong method in filtering spatial structures and anomaly component.  相似文献
