本文从梯度风方程出发,证明温度梯度增强对涡度起到增强作用.因此当冷空气侵入热带气旋外围时,只要没有破坏热带气旋的暖心结构,就会引起温度梯度的增长,从而促进热带气旋的发生发展.本文采用NCAR/PSU研制的非静力中尺度模式MM5,研究北半球冷暖空气入侵在热带气旋形成和加强过程中的作用.通过研究冷暖空气对热带气旋发展影响的试验发现,冷暖空气在入侵热带气旋外围时,最主要改变的是外围的环流场.北半球冷空气的入侵将会增强热带气旋北面的北风,形成指向热带气旋中心的推力,即辐合增强,暖空气入侵减弱北面的北风,形成背向热带气旋中心的拉力,即辐合减弱.由于拉力作用,一方面把边界上由于冷空气入侵而生成的能量往热带气旋中心输送,另一方面导致温度梯度的增加.因此从天气学形势来看,在热带气旋发生发展的过程中,北方的冷高压将会增强热带气旋北面的风速,从而导致热带气旋的增强;南半球澳高的增强,将使越赤道气流增强,热带气旋南面的风速也因此增强,从而引起热带气旋的增强. 相似文献

Stable isotopes in precipitation sampled at different locations and altitudes over the volcanic island of Cheju, Korea, were analysed to elucidate the circulation patterns of water over the island where groundwater is a major water resource and the characteristics of stable isotopes in precipitation inputs to the hydrological cycle are a very important indicator of groundwater flow. Areal and altitudinal variation of stable isotopes in precipitation showed the contribution of different air masses to the precipitation on mountain slope areas and in the atmosphere above and below the boundary at around 1000 m a.s.l. Seasonal change of the isotopic composition of precipitation also gave a good illustration of the influence of the dominant regional air currents on precipitation inputs. In 1975, aerosols were collected with high-volume-samplers and impactors on the west coast of Ireland. The ether extractable organic material (EEOM) was separated into three main fractions: bases (B), acids (A), and neutral compounds (N). Each fraction is a very complex mixture of numerous species. Detailed investigations were carried out on these three main fractions. The individual species were determined quantitatively by gas chromatography. Qualitative identification was done by combined GC-MS.The concentration of total particulate matter (TPM) was in the range of 10 g/m3 (STP) air and the concentration of EEOM was 1 g/m3. The relative composition of the EEOM with regard to the main fractions A, B, and N was N>A>B — the same as in previous measurements. Particles with radii <1 m were investigated separately and showed an enrichment in organic matter.A comparison of individual species from several sample locations is now possible for then-paraffins C10 to C28. The concentrations of all thesen-paraffins are below 10 ng/m3, with no overall obvious preference for specific compounds and no obvious dependence on particle size above or below 1 m radius.A preliminary survey does not show any characteristic differences in the relative composition of the organic constituents of clean air aerosols from different sampling localities. The relative composition with regard to the three main fractions is rather uniform in clean air samples and in samples from polluted regions. 相似文献

Magnetic characteristics of dustfall in urban area of north China and its environmental significance 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Urban particulate pollutants not only affect urban air quality but also directly threaten public health. Lanzhou has been one of the most seriously polluted cities in the world due to its special geophysical location and weather conditions, which makes it an ideal place for urban particulate pollution study. In this study a set of environmental magnetic parameters (χlf, χfd%, χARM, SIRM, HIRM, SOFT and back field IRM) were measured and analyzed for the dustfall samples collected monthly during 1997.4―2000.5 and 2004.11―2005.10 at Lanzhou University campus (KLD and CCS) and at a clear site of Gaolanxian (GLX). Results demonstrate that the main magnetic minerals in the dustfall are magnetite, with some maghaemite and haematite. Cross plots of Mrs/Ms vs. Bcr/Bc and χfd% vs. χARM/SIRM indicate that the main magnetic grain sizes are pseudo-single-domain (PSD). The high concentration of magnetic min-erals in the dustfall indicates that Lanzhou is seriously polluted. The main pollution sources are an-thropogenic activities and nature dust, with the former posing a great threat during the whole year, which is different from the general view that the natural dust is the main contributor in summer. With great efforts of the government and local authority in the past decades, the air quality in Lanzhou has been improved in winter, but it is not so obvious in summer. This study also reveals that as a simple, rapid and accurate technology, environmental magnetism could be a valuable tool for urban pollution study. 相似文献

In this paper, a technique is proposed in order to study triple time series. It combines the variable of interest, sulfur
dioxide (SO2) with two related meteorological variables. Hence, three variables measured at the same time points are jointly analyzed.
Instead of using classical multiple time series analysis, it is suggested to consider the measurements of the two meteorological
variables as coordinates of a two-dimensional space and the simultaneous observation of the third variable (associated SO2 concentrations) at each pair of coordinates. Subsequently, well-known optimum interpolation is used for predicting the SO2 concentrations on the basis of six meteorological variables. All the variables of the study are measured at the same times
(all days in 2000) around the city of Istanbul, Turkey. The triple diagrams, in the form of contour maps, help to answer various
questions concerning the SO2 concentration variability with respect to meteorological variables. The same diagrams also provide a basis for the prediction
of SO2 concentrations. It is shown that the relative prediction error is less than 10%, which is acceptable for the practical studies. 相似文献

本文讨论了定量计算湖泊纯水体气温效应的方法,在计算鄱阳湖水体夏季纯水体气温效应值的基础上,重点分析鄱阳湖水体夏季气温效应的特征、强度和分布,其结果是鄱阳湖水体夏季对湖区气温影响呈热源效应。表现在提高了湖区夏季平均气温,湖中心棠荫站比湖外高O.1—1.0℃,纯水体气温效应为0.4℃。随着距水体距离的增大,气温效应也逐渐减弱,水体影响气温的范围约为10—40km。由于湖区夏季受到副热带高压控制,陆风比湖风旺盛,气温效应夜间比白天强,加上地形的作用,影响范围南部比北部大。1980—1987年间的7、8月考察资料也和上述结果相吻合。 相似文献

Exceedance of the US Environmental Protection Agency national ambient air quality standard for PM10 (particulate matter ≤10 µm in aerodynamic diameter) within the Columbia Plateau region of the Pacific Northwest US is largely caused by wind erosion of agricultural lands managed in a winter wheat–summer fallow rotation. Land management practices, therefore, are sought that will reduce erosion and PM10 emissions during the summer fallow phase of the rotation. Horizontal soil flux and PM10 concentrations above adjacent field plots (>2 ha), with plots subject to conventional or undercutter tillage during summer fallow, were measured using creep and saltation/suspension collectors and PM10 samplers installed at various heights above the soil surface. After wheat harvest in 2004 and 2005, the plots were either disked (conventional) or undercut with wide sweeps (undercutter) the following spring and then periodically rodweeded prior to sowing wheat in late summer. Soil erosion from the fallow plots was measured during six sampling periods over two years; erosion or PM10 loss was not observed during two periods due to the presence of a crust on the soil surface. For the remaining sampling periods, total surface soil loss from conventional and undercutter tillage ranged from 3 to 40 g m–2 and 1 to 27 g m–2 while PM10 loss from conventional and undercutter tillage ranged from 0·2 to 5·0 g m–2 and 0·1 to 3·3 g m–2, respectively. Undercutter tillage resulted in a 15% to 65% reduction in soil loss and 30% to 70% reduction in PM10 loss as compared with conventional tillage at our field sites. Therefore, based on our results at two sites over two years, undercutter tillage appears to be an effective management practice to reduce dust emissions from agricultural land subject to a winter wheat–summer fallow rotation within the Columbia Plateau. Clay-rich deposits are usually considered as hard materials to be eroded by wind.Data from both surface monitoring and field survey at the dry-up bottom of Aiby Lake present thatclay-rich lacustrine deposits are easily broken down and eroded away by wind in the seasonalalternation process under the natural arid environment, and are the significant source of air dust.The surface of the clay-rich deposits is broken and softened by the freezing-and-thawing action inwinter season and/or by salt and alkali action with precipitation. Impact of wind-input particles andplow of plant branches with wind force drive the clay-rich sediments moving. Wind picks up theclay pebbles and repeats the impaction further-ward onto the dry-up surface. Tremendous finematerials, including soft salts, are contributed to air dust, and transported in long distance. 相似文献
