贵阳市主要饮用水源地阿哈水库系水温分层型季节性缺氧水库,由于沉积物含高浓度Fe,Mn至使库水受到污染,经多年测定不同季节20m深垂直水柱结果表明,Fe,Mn分布随着季节变化,水库水温分层而变化,呈现明显的垂直分布规律,高浓度Fe,Mn主要出现在水温分层期水库中,下层,与库底缺氧,PH下降沉积物浓度Fe,Mn释放造成的二次污染等密切相关,从而为自来水厂实施优化分层取水和污染控制提供了依据。  相似文献

对鄱阳湖地区蚌湖水下沉积物、滩地草甸土柱状样品不同深度土壤的酸度、氧化还原电位进行了现场测定;对剖面各层次的Fe、Mn总量,还原性Fe、Mn含量,以及有机质等进行了分析。实验表明:鄱阳湖湿地土壤中Fe、Mn有其独特的分布规律和迁移特征。元素Fe仅在水土界面轻微富集,Mn则向界面和深层双向富集;还原性Fe、Mn受氧化还原边界层的控制呈垂向分布。另外,元素Fe、Mn的水平迁移与水位变动相关,退水时Fe  相似文献

对3个合成的含Fe~3+的铁硅酸盐尖晶石γ-Fe_2SiO_4进行了电子探针分析,并在298,150和95K的温度下对它们进行了Mossbauer谱的测试.每个温度下的Mossbauer谱均由两个双峰组成.这两个双峰分别被指派给八面体位置上的Fe~2+和四面体位置上的Fe~3+,并且根据Mossbauer吸收面积给出了占位结果表明,Fe~3+和少量的Si~4+分别占据在四面体和八面体位置上.根据Mossbauer分析所得到的占位,使用经过修正的公式,计算了八面体和四面体位置的平均键长.在此基础上,八面体和四面体的平均键长进而被用来计算含Fe~3+的γ-Fe_2SiO_4的晶胞参数和氧参数.此外,使用次近邻效应解释了含Fe~3+的γ-Fe_2SiO_4Mossbauer谱的Fe~3+谱线的宽化现象。  相似文献

云南省泸沽湖,洱海^210Pbex的垂直分布受Fe,Mn循环下^210P;o和^210Pb沉积后再迁移的影响,分别表现为三种不同的剖面分布特征,^210Pbex计年的没积物堆积速率分别为0.050-0.051g.cm^-2a^-1和0.044-0.046g.cm^-2a^-1,反映百年时间尺度上的堆积结果,泸沽湖,洱海^137Cs的垂直剖面分布虽然受分子扩散作用的影响,并没有改变其峰值位置。  相似文献

赣东北蛇绿混杂岩带中含晚古生代放射虫硅质岩的SiO_2含量变化范围为 78.40%~ 89.28%,Si/Al= 6.3~23,Si/Al比和Al_2O_3呈很好的负相关关系,表明它们含有 较高比例的陆源泥质沉积物.硅质岩样品的Al_2O_3/(Al_2O_3+Fe_2O_3)=0.51~0.90,Ce/Ce~·= 0,91~1.22, La_n/Ce_n= 0.76~1.11, V<M20μg/g,V/Y<2.6,Ti/V>40,一致表明这些硅质 岩形成于与大陆地壳物质输入密切相关的大陆边缘环境,而与大洋盆地、洋中脊环境无 关.因此,这些晚古生代硅质岩既不属于~ 1.0Ga蛇绿岩套“三位一体”中的一部分,也 不支持晚古生代扬子和华夏两个块体之间存在深海大洋盆。  相似文献

1994年9月16日在台湾海峡南部发季了Ms7.3地震,发震时福州、厦门、漳州、东山等地普遍有感,个别房屋出现裂缝。震前福建省水化台网监测到水氡、水电导率、Ca^2+,K^+,Mg^2+,水位、水温等地下流体群体异常、异常列出现层次性,异常空间分布具有集中性,异常数量达到一定数值。  相似文献

对星叶石K_2Na(Fe,Mn,Mg,□),[Ti_2(St_4O_(12))_2| O_3](OH,F)_4进行了晶体结构的精测, 求得晶胞参数:a=0.535 9(2)um,b=1.1614(4)um,c=1.1861(4)um,α=113.16(2)°,β =103.04(2)°,γ=94.56(2)°.晶胞体积V=0.6495(5)nm~3.单位晶胞中的分子数Z=1,空 间群为P1.结构测定的精度,其偏离因子为R=0.057.根据其晶体结构的特征,与曾测 定的单斜星叶石 K_2NaNa(Fe,Mn)_4Mg_2Ti_2[Si_4O_(12)]_2(OH)_4(OH,F)_2对比,指出两者为不同种 矿物,建议单斜星叶石应重新命名.将星叶石、单斜星叶石、钡铁钛石及问叶石这一类 钛硅酸盐的结构与云母进行类比,提出了晶体化学中的功能性替代的概念  相似文献

对柴达木盆地察尔汗盐湖区外围沙下盐湖的卤水及沉积进行了综合研究。沙下盐湖卤水化学组成与地表径流和开放性盐湖卤水之间存在明显的差异性,具有高Na^++Cl^-、低Mg^2++Ca^2++SO4^2-、贫K^++CO3^2-+HCO3^-等特征。沙下盐湖析盐层位含有新生矿物并夹带碎屑矿物,其盐类矿物组合为:石盐+羟氯镁铝石+光卤石。25℃等温蒸发相图表明,其卤水演化方向往光卤石析出区迁移,在穿越上覆盖  相似文献

本文对前期的理论分析成果进行了修改和验证。前期曾用大量文献上的晶体结构参数反演为理论为X射线粉末图,从中选出若干条特征峰,用逐步回归方法对其强度比与钙质闪石的11种阳离子占位度间,建立一系列经验公式,用以估算未知的钙质闪石样品阳离子占位度,精度在85%-98%之间,多数阳离子精度超过90%,在闪石晶体化学研究了具有重要意义的阳离子如M1,M3位中Mg,Fe^2+,A位的K,空缺值Em及T1位的等精  相似文献

The most important source of dissolved manganese, Mn(II), to the Dead Sea is by upward diffusion from bottom sediments. This source contributes about 80 tons of Mn(II) each year. The concentration of dissolved manganese in the Dead Sea is extraordinarily high (7.03 mg 1?1). It appears that the content (some 1.026 × 106 tons) of dissolved manganese in the sea has remained constant during 1977–1979, although oxygen was introduced into deeper layers during the deepening of the pycnocline (1977–1978) and during the overturn of its water masses in the winter of 1978/79. The rate of oxidation of Mn(II) in Dead Sea water is extremely slow hence Mn(II) may practically be considered as the stable form of Mn in Dead Sea waters. Dilution by fresh water causes a pH rise and may facilitate faster oxidation of the dissolved divalent manganese. It is shown here that the shape of the Mn(II) profile, observed in the lake during 1963, may have developed by oxidation of Mn(II) in the more diluted upper layers and subsequent reduction of the oxidation products in the anoxic and more saline deeper layers during 260 years of continuous meromixis.  相似文献

The anoxic oxidation of ammonia by manganese oxides is a newly recognised pathway for the production of N2 in sedimentary environments, potentially contributing a significant loss of nitrogen from the world's oceans. Due to the complex recycling of redox species in marine sediments this process is difficult to discern in the natural environment, and is consequently poorly understood. The potential for anoxic nitrification coupled to manganese reduction was investigated through field research and laboratory incubation experiments. Field data from Loch Fyne, a manganese-rich site, did not provide conclusive evidence for anoxic nitrification, although minor accumulation of nitrate was observed in anoxic pore-waters. Incubation of Loch Fyne sediments showed anoxic nitrification to occur, with accumulation of both nitrate and nitrite coincident with removal of ammonia under anoxia, although these observations were not reproduced in repeat experiments. The laboratory evidence for anoxic nitrification confirms the reaction is possible in marine sediments; however, the wider significance of anoxic nitrification remains uncertain. Contrary to previous assumptions about anoxic nitrification, results suggest the reaction may not be dependent on total manganese concentrations and may be inhibited by conventional heterotrophic manganese reduction in manganese-rich sediments.  相似文献

Surface transects and vertical profiles of total and leachable particulate Fe, Mn, Al and P, along with dissolved and soluble Fe were obtained during August 2003 in the southeastern Bering Sea. High concentrations of leachable particulate Fe were observed in the bottom waters over the Bering Sea shelf with an unusually high percentage of the suspended particulate Fe being leachable. Leachable particulate Fe averaged 81% of total particulate Fe, and existed at elevated concentrations that averaged 23 times greater than dissolved Fe in the isolated cool pool waters over the mid shelf where substantial influence of sedimentary denitrification was apparent. The elevated leachable particulate Fe is suggested to be a result of sedimentary Fe reduction in surficial sediments, diffusion of Fe(II) from the sediments to the bottom waters, and subsequent oxidation and precipitation of reduced Fe in the overlying bottom waters. Eddies and meanders of the Bering Slope Current can mix this Fe-rich water into the Green Belt at the outer shelf-break front. Elevated levels of leachable particulate Fe were observed in surface waters near the Pribilof Islands where enhanced vertical mixing exists. Storm events and/or cooling during fall/winter with the resultant destruction of the thermally stratified two-layer system can also mix the subsurface water into surface waters where the elevated leachable particulate Fe is a substantial source of biologically available Fe.  相似文献

Laboratory incubation experiments were carried out on sediment cores collected from Esthwaite Water, U.K., during April 1987, when the sediments displayed a characteristic surface (1.5 to 2 cm) oxide floc. The experiments were undertaken at 10°C, in the dark, under variable redox and pH conditions for periods of ~ 720 h (30 d). In some cases, realistic amounts of decomposing lake algae were added to simulate the deposition of an algal bloom. Pore waters and overlying waters were obtained from the incubated sediment cores at various time intervals and the samples analysed for pH and dissolved Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu by AAS. The results demonstrated that trace metal concentrations at the sediment-water interface can show rapid, pulsed responses to episodic events associated with controlling factors such as algal deposition and mixing conditions. The variations in dissolved Fe and Mn concentrations could generally be explained by their well known redox behaviour. Appreciable loss of Mn from solution under conditions of well-developed anoxia was consistent with adsorption of Mn2+ by FeS. Cu and Zn were both rapidly (24 h) released into solution during incubation of sediment cores prior to the development of anoxia in the overlying waters. Their most likely sources were the reductive remobilization of Mn oxides and the decomposition of organic matter. The addition of decomposing algae to a series of cores resulted in even higher interfacial dissolved concentrations of Cu and Zn, probably through acting as a supplementary source of the metals and through increased oxide dissolution. Switching from anoxic to oxic conditions also rapidly increased dissolved Cu and Zn concentrations, possibly due to their release during the oxidation of metal sulphides. The enhanced releases of dissolved Cu and Zn were generally short-lived with removal being attributed to the formation of sulphides during anoxia and to adsorption by Fe and Mn oxides under oxic conditions.  相似文献

The amphipod crustacean Talitrus saltator is an established, easily accessible, biomonitor of trace metal bioavailabilities in coastal waters. We have carried out a geographically widespread collection of T. saltator from European shores, stretching from the north-west Atlantic through the Baltic to the Mediterranean. A primary aim of the work was to establish a database of accumulated trace metal concentrations (Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn) in this biomonitor. Statistical analysis has shown significant geographical differences in the bioavailabilities of all the metals, the most distinct being copper, iron and manganese. It has proved possible to identify unusually high accumulated concentrations of Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn in this biomonitor, indicative of high metal bioavailability at a particular site. These may serve as reference points for future biomonitoring programmes seeking to identify metal contamination in coastal waters.  相似文献

A quantitative and precise method for determination of dissolved Mn at the nanomole(nmol)/kg level in seawater has been developed and used to study the distribution of Mn in the northeast Pacific. Mn concentrations in the surface mixed layer decrease from 1.0 to 0.6 nmol/kg between the central gyre and the western boundary of the California Current, then increase to values from 2 to 6 nmol/kg near the coastal boundary (in contrast to the distribution of210Pb). Particulate Mn in the surface waters accounts for only about 1% of the total.Vertical distributions of Mn are characterized by surface maxima, minima near 300 m, maxima at mid-depth coinciding with the oxygen minimum and the labile nutrient maxima, and concentrations in Pacific bottom waters of approximately 0.2 nmol/kg. The oceanic distribution of Mn appears to be dominated by external inputs superimposed upon overall scavenging which can lead to Mn maxima in (1) the surface waters due to riverine and atmospheric sources; (2) the deep ocean as a result of hydrothermal injection and/or sediment resuspension; and (3) the oxygen minimum region resulting from in-situ breakdown of organic matter, in-situ MnO2 reduction, and/or advective-diffusive transport of dissolved Mn from anoxic slope sediments.  相似文献

Nordåsvatnet is a land-locked anoxic fjord along the west coast of Norway which is used as a natural recipient of untreated domestic sewage. The study of four core sediments collected from the heavily polluted basin of the fjord reflects the enrichment of surface sediments by Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and organic matter. This surface enrichment is entirely attributed to the anthropogenic input.  相似文献

The River Buyukmelen is located in the province of Duzce in northwest Turkey and its water basin is approximately 470 km2. The Aksu, Kucukmelen and Ugursuyu streams flow into the River Buyukmelen. It flows into the Black Sea with an output of 44 m3 s−1. The geological succession in the basin comprises limestone and dolomitic limestone of the Yılanlı formation, sandstone, clayey limestone and marls of the Akveren formation, clastics and volcano‐clastics of the Caycuma formation, and cover units comprised of river alluvium, lacutrine sediments and beach sands. The River Buyukmelen is expected to be a water source that can supply the drinking water needs of Istanbul until 2040; therefore, it is imperative that its water quality be preserved. The samples of rock, soil, stream water, suspended, bed and stream sediments and beach sand were collected from the Buyukmelen river basin. They were examined using mineralogical and geochemical methods. The chemical constituents most commonly found in the stream waters are Na+, Mg2+, SO2−4, Cl and HCO3 in the Guz stream water, Ca2+ in the Abaza stream water, and K+ in the Kuplu stream water. The concentrations of Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, SO2−4, HCO3, Cl, As, Pb, Ni, Mn, Cr, Zn, Fe and U in the Kuplu and Guz stream waters were much higher than the world average values. The Dilaver, Gubi, Tepekoy, Maden, Celik and Abaza streams interact with sedimentary rocks, and the Kuplu and Guz streams interact with volcanic rocks. The amount of suspended sediment in the River Buyukmelen in December 2002 was 120 mg l−1. The suspended and bed sediments in the muddy stream waters are formed of quartz, calcite, plagioclase, clay (kaolinite, illite and smectite), muscovite and amphibole minerals. As, Co, Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Zn and U have all accumulated in the Buyukmelen river‐bed sediments. The muddy feature of the waters is related to the petrographic features of the rocks in the basin and their mineralogical compositions, as most of the sandstones and volcanic rocks (basalt, tuffite and agglomerate) are decomposed to a clay‐rich composition at the surface. Thus, the suspended sediment in stream waters increases by physical weathering of the rocks and water–rock interaction. Owing to the growing population and industrialization, water demand is increasing. The plan is to bring water from the River Buyukmelen to Istanbul's drinking‐water reservoirs. According to the Water Pollution Regulations, the River Buyukmelen belongs to quality class 1 based on Hg, Cd, Pb, As, Cu, Cr, Zn, Mn, Se, Ba, Na+, Cl, and SO2−4; and to quality class 3 based on Fe concentration. The concentration of Fe in the River Buyukmelen exceeds the limit values permitted by the World Health Organization and the Turkish Standard. Because water from the River Buyukmelen will be used as drinking water, it will have an adverse effect on water quality and humans if not treated in advance. In addition, the inclusion of Mn and Zn in the Elmali drinking‐water reservoir of Istanbul and Fe in the River Buyukmelen water indicates natural inorganic contamination. Mn, Zn and Fe contents in the waters are related to geological origin. Moreover, the River Buyukmelen flow is very muddy in the rainy seasons and it is inevitable that this will pose problems during the purification process. Between 1999 and 2002, a former open-cast mine was filled with river water forming the recent Lake Goitsche. During filling initially acid water was neutralised. Phosphorus (P) imported from Mulde River was nearly completely removed from the water column by co-precipitation with iron (Fe) and aluminium (Al) and deposited in the sediment.During extremely high waters of the Mulde River in 2002, a dike breach facilitated a second high import of P into Lake Goitsche with suspended and dissolved matter. The analysis of total phosphorus (TP), however, showed that P again had been eliminated from the water body a few months after the flood event. Sediment investigations before filling with river water, during filling, and after the flood event were used to analyse the process of P immobilisation in a lake with acid mine drainage history.The ratios of Fe to soluble reactive P (SRP) of sediment pore water were up to three orders of magnitudes higher than in natural lakes and can serve as an indicator for potential internal P loading from sediments. The SRP concentrations at the oxic/anoxic boundary were near or below the limit of quantification (< 0.2 μmol/L). Fe and manganese (Mn) redox cycling were responsible for hindering P dissolution from sediment to lake water.Finally it can be stated, that the risk of eutrophication for such a lake seems to be low.  相似文献

Contaminated sediments deposited within urban water bodies commonly exert a significant negative effect on overlying water quality. However, our understanding of the processes operating within such anthropogenic sediments is currently poor. This paper describes the nature of the sediment and early diagenetic reactions in a highly polluted major urban water body (the Salford Quays of the Manchester Ship Canal) that has undergone remediation focused on the water column. The style of sedimentation within Salford Quays has been significantly changed as a result of remediation of the water column. Pre‐remediation sediments are composed of a range of natural detrital grains, predominantly quartz and clay, and anthropogenic detrital material dominated by industrial furnace‐derived metal‐rich slag grains. Post‐remediation sediments are composed of predominantly autochthonous material, including siliceous algal remains and clays. At the top of the pre‐remediation sediments and immediately beneath the post‐remediation sediments is a layer significantly enriched in furnace‐derived slag grains, input into the basin as a result of site clearance prior to water‐column remediation. These grains contain a high level of metals, resulting in a significantly enhanced metal concentration in the sediments at this depth. Porewater analysis reveals the importance of both bacterial organic matter oxidation reactions and the dissolution of industrial grains upon the mobility of nutrient and chemical species within Salford Quays. Minor release of iron and manganese at shallow depths is likely to be taking place as a result of bacterial Fe(III) and Mn(IV) reduction. Petrographic analysis reveals that the abundant authigenic mineral within the sediment is manganese‐rich vivianite, and thus Fe(II) and Mn(II) released by bacterial reactions may be being taken up through the precipitation of this mineral. Significant porewater peaks in iron, manganese and silicon deeper in the sediment column are most probably the result of dissolution of furnace‐derived grains in the sediments. These species have subsequently diffused into porewater above and below the metal‐enriched layer. This study illustrates that the remediation of water quality in anthropogenic water bodies can significantly impact upon the physical and chemical nature of sedimentation. Additionally, it also highlights how diagenetic processes in sediments derived from anthropogenic grains can be markedly different from those in sediments derived from natural detrital material.
