Methanol 72–81 A + is mapped for the first time in Orion KL. Analysing the observed data and solving the statistical equilibrium and radiative transfer equations, it is concluded that line series ofJ 2–(J+1)1 A + (J=7,8,9) is in quasi-thermal emission rather than the masers in Orion KL. The maser spots of methanolJ 2J 1 E (J=6,7) and 80–71 A + are distributed in the northeast part of the contour plot of 72–81 A +. The physical conditions of the regions of maser seriesJ 0–(J–1)1 A + (J=7,8,9) are discussed. Also from the calculation results another maser seriesJ 1–(J–1)2 A (J=10,11,12) that might coexist with maser seriesJ 2J 1 E, is found. The sizes of the 2-dimension Gaussian fit plots of methanol 72–81 A + and HCOOCH3 10(0,10)–9(0,9)A are almost the same, and the main parts overlap each other.  相似文献

All interstellar methanol maser sources can be divided into two classes. Their spectra are distinctive. In particular, the prominent Class II maser transitions, 6.7GHz and 12.2GHz lines show enhanced absorption toward Class I sources. We notice that the 6.7 and 12.2GHz methanol masers toward Class II sources are associated with each other and coexist toward ultracompact HII regions. Therefore we suggest a new pumping mechanism – methanol masers without population inversion. It can be used to explain the formation of 6.7GHz methanol masers while the 12.2GHz methanol masers are regarded as driving coherent microwave field. In this paper, we demonstrate that the new mechanism is associated with astronomical conditions and does not contradict with other mechanisms. We searched for the CSJ = 2 – 1 emission towards 29 southern H2O and H2O/OH masers and 1 OH maser with the SEST radio telescope. We detected and mapped 24 CS emitting regions probably associated with 27 H2O masers. The C34SJ = 2 – 1 and COJ = 1 – 0 lines were also observed at the grid positions closest to the CS peaks. Four cores were mapped in the CSJ = 5 – 4 and C34SJ = 2 – 1 lines.  相似文献

Using a simplified model the statistical equilibrium and radiative transfer equations of E-type-CH3OH are solved for Orion KL and SgrB2. According to our calculation results and the observation data taken by Matsakiset al. (1980) and Morimotoet al. (1985a, b), the physical conditions of both sources are estimated. In theJ 2-J 1 E methanol maser region of Orion KL, the density, kinetic temperature, dust temperature, and the fractional abundance are 0.8–2×106 cm–3, 150, 30–90 K, 0.8–8×10–6. In the 4–1-30 E and 5–1-40 E methanol maser region of Sgr B2 the correspondance physical conditions above are 104 cm3, 45, 23 K, and 7×10–7, respectively.  相似文献

We present a statistical analysis of 482 6.7 GHz methanol maser sources from the available literature, on their maser emission and the characteristics of their associated infrared sources. On the color-color diagram, more than 70% of the objects fall within a very small region (0.57 ≤ [25 - 12] ≤ 1.30 and 1.30 ≤[60 - 12] ≤ 2.50). This suggests that 6.7 GHz methanol maser emission occurs only within a very short evolutionary phase during the earliest stage of star formation. The velocity ranges of the masers belong to two main groups: one from 1 to 10 km s^-1, and one from about 11 to 20 km s^-1. These velocity ranges indicate that the masers are probably associated with both disks and outflows. The correlations between the maser and infrared flux densities, and between the maser and infrared luminosities, suggest that far-infrared radiation is a possible pumping mechanism for the masers which most probably originate from some outer molecular envelopes or disks.  相似文献

The collisional pumping of H216O and H218O masers in hot dense gas-dust clouds has been simulated numerically. New data on the rate coefficients for collisional transitions from Faure et al. (2007) were used in the calculations. The possibility of detecting H218O emission in 22.2-GHz H216O maser sources is investigated. The medium is shown to become optically thick in the H218O lines for which an inverted level population is observed at H2O column densities of ∼1019–1020 cm−2. A simultaneous observation of H218O emission and H216O maser emission in the same source will allow the physical conditions in the gas-dust cloud to be refined.  相似文献

Interstellar H2O and OH masers associated with massive star-forming regions can be classified into three morphological types: isolated H2O masers; isolated OH masers; and spatially overlapping OH/H2O maser groups. In a large sample of star-forming regions the total number of maser groups of each type is approximately equal. In order to account for these statistics we propose a pumping scheme based on a broadband radiative pump which produces inverted populations of both OH and H2O masers by a process involving predissociation and dissociation of H2O. This scheme overcomes some drawbacks of earlier radiative pumping models, and may account for the association of OH and H2O masers in massive star forming regions.  相似文献

The Franck-Condon (FC) factors and r-centroids for the bands systemC 1 Σ + → X 1 Σ + of AlD and E 2 Π → X 2 Σ + of CaH have been evaluated by means of a reliable numerical integration procedure by using a suitable potential. The dissociation energy, D e, for the electronic ground states of AlD and CaH have been estimated by the curve fitting method to the RKRV experimental potential curve turning out to be 3.01 eV and 2.32 eV, respectively. It is recognized that the interstellar methanol-107 GHz masers and OH-4.765 GHz masers towards Class Ⅱ sources are associated with each other and coexist towards ultracompact HⅡ regions. Therefore we suggest a new pumping mechanism-methanol masers without population inversion. It can explain the formation of 107GHz methanol masers, with the 4.765GHz OH masers acting as a driving coherent microwave field. It is argued that this mechanism is compatible with the astronomical conditions.  相似文献

High-resolution Fourier Transform Spectrometer sunspot umbral spectra of the National Solar Observatory/National Optical Astronomy Observatory at Kitt Peak were used to detect rotational lines from 19 electronic transition bands of the molecules LaO, ScO and VO, in the wavenumber range of 11 775 to 20 600 cm−1. The presence of lines from the following transitions is confirmed: A 2 Π r1/2 – X 2 Σ +(0, 0; 0, 1), A 2 Π r3/2 – X 2 Σ +(1, 0), B 2 Σ + – X 2 Σ +(0, 0; 0, 1; 1, 0) and C 2 Π r1/2 – A2Δ r3/2(0, 0; 1, 1) of LaO; A 2 Π r3/2 – X 2 Σ +(0, 0), A 2 Π r1/2 – X 2 Σ +(0, 0) and B 2 Σ + – X 2 Σ +(0, 0) of ScO; and C 4 Σ  – X 4 Σ (0, 1; 1, 0; 0, 2) and (2, 0) of VO. However, the presence of A 2 Π r3/2 – X 2 Σ +(0, 0) and C 2 Π r3/2 – A2Δ r5/2(0, 0; 1, 1) of LaO and C 4 Σ  – X 4 Σ (0, 0) of VO are found to be doubtful because the lines are very weak, and detections are difficult owing to heavy blending by strong rotational lines of other molecules. Equivalent widths are measured for well-resolved lines and, thereby, the effective rotational temperatures are estimated for the systems for which the presence is confirmed.  相似文献

The galactic and Extragalactic photodissociation regions are primarily heated by photoelectrons ejected from the surface of interstellar dust grains by Far-ultraviolet (FUV) photons. But there is no direct mechanism to measure the photoelectric heating efficiency. To understand the role of dust grains in processing the Interstellar Radiation Field (ISRF) and heating the gas, we compare the intensities I CII, I CO and I FIR for (2 P 3/22 P 1/2) & (J = 1→ 0) line emission of CII & CO at 158 μm & 2.6 mm and integrated far-infrared from number of photodissociation regions, HII regions, planetary nebulae, reflection nebulae and high latitude translucent clouds (HLCs). It is found that I CII is linearly correlated with I FIR. In the cold medium where cloud is exposed to weak radiations temperature is low and most of the cooling is due to [CII] emissions. As a result the ratio of I CII/I FIR provide indirect method to evaluate the photoelectric heating efficiency. For the neutral cold medium it is evaluated to be ∼0.028. The FUV radiation field G 0 are estimated through the model calculation of I CII and I CO for different galactic and photodissociation regions. The intensity of FIR radiation I FIR are well represented as 1.23×10−4 G 0(ergs cm−2 s−1 sr−1) almost same as estimated for HLCs by Ingalls et al (2002). High resolution rotation-vibration spectra of v = 1 and 2 sequences of 24MgH+ are obtained by a differencing process invoking the known structures of electronic bands observed in the region 214–340 nm. A reversal of R branch (band head formation) is noticed in each of the rotation-vibration bands. The J = 1 J = 0 transition is predicted to be at 376098, 365301, 354286 and 342981 MHz for v = 0,1,2 and 3, respectively, in the ground electronic state 1+. SiO maser emission in AGB stars is found to be systematically distributed in ring structures, displaying tangential linear polarization. Using the VLBA, we have performed observations of such SiO maser emission at 43 GHz in the circumstellar envelopes of several late-type stars. We simultaneously mapped the v=1 and v=2, J=1–0 transitions. Our new maps show, for most spots, a systematic spatial shift between both maser lines. We discuss the implication of these results on the possible pumping mechanisms, concluding that the existing data favour radiative pumping schemes.  相似文献

Circumstellar hydroxyl (OH) masers are believed to be radiatively pumped (Elitzur et al. 1976). However, the proposed pumping mechanism has not been directly observed before now, because the far-IR spectral lines which correspond to the pumping cycle transitions are unobservable from the ground. We present ISO1 observations of the strong OH maser source IRC +10420. Our spectra clearly show the 34.6-μm doublet in absorption, and the ensuing rotational cascade lines at 98.7, 163 and 79 μm in emission. These spectra provide the first direct confirmation of the radiative pumping cycle for OH masers. For molecular identification in astrophysical sources, an astrophysicist needs some spectroscopic parameters such as dissociation energy, vibrational or rotational temperature of the source, band or line wavelengths, transition probability parameters, etc. The Franck-Condon(FC) factors are proportional to the transition probabilities. In this study, the FC factors and r-centroids for the vibronic (vibration-electronic) transitions C 1 Σ +X 1 Σ + of aluminium hydride (AlH), b 3 Σ ( −)a 3 Π, C 1 Σ +A 1 Π & C ′1 Δ → Δ 1 Π of boron hydride (BH) have been evaluated and the results are presented in tables which include band origin/head wavelengths. The physical & astrophysical significances of our evaluated FC factors & r-centroids have been discussed and the possible presence of AlH in sunspot umbral spectra is also predicted. The present paper addresses the existence of J 2 invariant relative orbits with arbitrary relative magnitude over the infinite time using the Routh reduction and Poincaré techniques in the J 2 Hamiltonian problem. The current research also proposes a novel numerical searching approach for J 2 invariant relative orbits from the dynamical system point of view. A new type of Poincaré mapping is defined from different central manifolds of the pseudo-circular orbits (parameterized by the Jacobi energy E, the polar component of momentum H z and the measure of distance Δr between the fixed point and its central manifolds) to the nodal periods T d and the drifts of longitude of the ascending node during one period (ΔΩ), which differs from Koon et al.’s (AIAA 2001) definition on central manifolds parameterized by the same fixed point. The Poincaré mapping is surjective because it compresses the three-dimensional variables into two-dimensional images, and the mapping degenerates into a bijective mapping in consideration of the fixed points. An iteration algorithm to the degenerated bijective mapping is proposed from the continuation procedure to perform the ergodic representation of E- and H z -contour maps on the space of T d –ΔΩ. For the surjective mapping with Δr ≠ 0, different pseudo-circular or elliptical orbits may share the same images. Hence, the inverse surjective mapping may achieve non-unique variables from a single image, which makes the generation of J 2 invariant relative orbits possible. The pseudo-circular or elliptical orbits generated from the surjective mapping will be defined in different meridian planes. Hence, the critical contribution of the present paper is the assignment of J 2 invariant relative orbits to different invariant parameters E and H z depending on the E- and H z -contour map, which will hold J 2 invariant relative orbits for extended durations. To investigate the high-order nonlinearity neglected by previous studies, a formation configuration with a large magnitude of 500 km is successfully generated from the theory developed in the present work, which is beyond the scope of the linear conditions of J 2 invariant relative orbits. Therefore, the existence of J 2 invariant relative orbit with an arbitrary relative magnitude over the infinite time is achieved from the dynamical system point of view.  相似文献

We have made high resolution observations of HCN (1-0) emission from the carbon star Y Canum Venaticorum using the Nobeyama Millimeter Array. We find that the emission region is not well resolved by the synthesized beam of 3.7 × 4.6 over the entire velocity range (VLSR =10 to 35 km s–1). We find that the true brightness temperature probably exceeds 200 K at many velocity channels as well as at the 26 km s–1 maser spike. The broad emission component may be the result of superimposed maser spikes. The high brightness requires an unreasonably high HCN fractional abundance if LTE is assumed. It is likely that the HCN abundance previously reported for the star is considerably affected by the maser action. A new maser spike has been found at VLSR = 29 km s–1  相似文献

Based on currently available observations of 28 maser sources in 25 star-forming regions with measured trigonometric parallaxes, proper motions, and radial velocities, we have constructed the rotation curve of the Galaxy. Taking different distances to the Galactic center R 0, we have estimated the peculiar velocity of the Sun, the angular velocity of Galactic rotation, and its three derivatives. For R 0 = 8 kpc, we have found the circular velocity of the Sun to be V 0 = 243 ± 16 km s−1, which corresponds to a revolution period of 202 ± 10 Myr. We have obtained the Oort constants A = 16.9 ± 1.2 km s−1 kpc−1 and B = −13.5 ± 1.4 km s−1 kpc−1. Our simulation of the influence of a spiral density wave has shown that the peculiar velocity of the Sun with respect to the local standard of rest and the component (V )LSR depend significantly on the Sun’s phase in the spiral wave.  相似文献

We present an edge-on Keplerian disk model to explain the main component of the 12.2 and 6.7 GHz methanol maser emission detected toward NGC7538-IRS1N. The brightness distribution and spectrum of the line of bright masers are successfully modeled with high amplification of background radio continuum emission along velocity coherent paths through a maser disk. The bend seen in the position–velocity diagram is a characteristic signature of differentially rotating disks. For a central mass of 30M, suggested by other observations, our model fixes the masing disk to have inner and outer radii of 270 and 750 AU.  相似文献

HD 165590 is a visual binary (dG0 + dG5,P = 20 . y 25,e = 0.96) whoseA component is an SB1 double (dG5 + dM:P = 0 . d 88,e0.0). TheA pair (Aa +Ab) undergoes partial eclipses. PhotoelectricUBV photometry from Lines and one of the Automatic Photoelectric Telescopes, andV photometry from Scarfe are examined here. The data are from the 1977, 1984, 1985, and 1986 observing seasons. The non-eclipse light variations are analyzed with a FORTRAN program which does a sinusoidal curve fitvia least squares repeatedly to obtain the best period. Periods found from each observing season and passband are consistent with Boydet al. (1985): the greatest variations seem to be produced by a rotating (0 . d 88), spotted, G0 star (theAa component). To the residuals from the first analysis a further curve fit is made to determine characteristics of the wave due to the ellipticity effect. An early limit on the spectral type of the unseenAb component, based on the primary eclpse depth and the upper limit on the depth of the unseen secondary eclipse, is K2. Eclipse depths and widths seen here suggest that theA pair's inclination = 74 . 0 9 ± 10, close to theA +B inclination of 82 . 0 7 ± 20 (Battenet al., 1979). TheA pair's orbital period does not appear to vary, appearing instead to be well-described by a new linear ephemeris (Hel. J.D. = 2443665.4568 + 0 . d 8795045E) which does, however, take into account a variable light-travel-times as theA component orbits theA +B center of mass with a 20 . y 25 period. The maximum light-travel-time O-C thus produced is + /–8 . m 4 = + /–0 . d 0059.  相似文献
