为了研究铅芯橡胶支座(LRB)和板式橡胶支座(RB)对连续梁桥地震响应及隔震效果的影响,分别采用Bouc - Wen滞回恢复力模型模拟LRB的力-位移非线性特性,采用直线型恢复力模型模拟RB的本构关系,通过结构离散建立了非隔震、LRB隔震和RB隔震3种连续梁桥的有限元计算模型,运用四阶显式Runge - Kutta迭代法和Newmark时间积分法联合求解增量形式的全桥动力微分方程,并结合算例对3种连续梁桥有限元计算模型分别输入汶川地震波进行非线性时程对比分析.结果表明:LRB在控制梁体与支座位移,降低结构加速度和墩、台底内力响应方面均比RB的效果要显著;采用RB隔震后,梁体与支座的位移响应均较大,在桥梁隔震设计时要予以充分重视.  相似文献

This paper examines the rocking response and stability of rigid blocks standing free on an isolated base supported: (a) on linear viscoelastic bearings, (b) on single concave and (c) on double concave spherical sliding bearings. The investigation concludes that seismic isolation is beneficial to improve the stability only of small blocks. This happens because while seismic isolation increase the ‘static’ value of the minimum overturning acceleration, this value remains nearly constant as we move to larger blocks or higher frequency pulses; therefore, seismic isolation removes appreciably from the dynamics of rocking blocks the beneficial property of increasing stability as their size increases or as the excitation pulse period decreases. This remarkable result suggests that free‐ standing ancient classical columns exhibit superior stability as they are built (standing free on a rigid foundation) rather than if they were seismically isolated even with isolation system with long isolation periods. The study further confirms this finding by examining the seismic response of the columns from the peristyle of two ancient Greek temples when subjected to historic records. The seismic response of light secondary systems in a building is dependent on the response of the primary structural system to the seismic ground motion with the result that very high accelerations can be induced in such secondary systems. This response can be reduced through the use of aseismic base isolation which is a design strategy whereby the entire building can be decoupled from the damaging horizontal components of seismic ground motion by the use of some form of isolation system. The paper presents a theoretical analysis of the response of light equipment in isolated structures and a parallel experimental programme both of which show that the use of base isolation can not only attenuate the response of the primary structural system but also reduce the response of secondary systems. Thus, the design of equipment and piping in a base-isolated building is very much simpler than that for a conventionally founded structure: inelastic response and equipment-structure interaction need not be considered and multiple support response analysis is rendered unnecessary. Although an isolation system with linear elastic bearings can reduce the acceleration of the structure, it may be accompanied by large relative displacements between the structure and the ground. A system using lead-rubber hysteretic bearings, having a force-displacement relation which is approximately a bilinear loop, can reduce these displacements. A parallel experimental programme was carried out to investigate the response of light equipment in structures isolated using lead-rubber bearings. The experimental results show that these bearings can dissipate energy and limit the displacement and acceleration of the structure but are less effective in reducing the accelerations in the internal equipment. The results of both the analysis and the tests show that base isolation is a very effective method for the seismic protection of light equipment items in buildings.  相似文献

A modal procedure for non-linear analysis of multistorey structures with high-damping base-isolation systems was proposed. Two different isolation devices were considered in the analysis: an high-damping laminated rubber bearing and a lead-rubber bearing. Starting from deformational properties verified by tests, the isolation systems were characterized using three different analytical models (an Elastic Viscous, a Bilinear Hysteretic and a Wen's Model) with parameters depending from maximum lateral strain. After non-linear modelling of isolation and lateral-force-resisting systems, the effects of material non-linearities were considered as pseudo-forces applied to the equivalent linear system (Pseudo-Force Method) and the formally linearized equations of motion were uncoupled by the transformation defined by the complex mode shapes. The modal responses were finally obtained with an extension of Nigam–Jennings technique to non-linear and non-classically damped systems, in conjunction with an iterative technique searching for non-linear contributions satisfying equations of motion and constitutive laws. Since the properties of the isolated structure usually change with maximun lateral strain of isolation bearings, the integration of a new set of governing equations was required for each design-displacement value. The procedure proposed was described in detail and then applied for the determination of modal and total seismic responses in some real cases. At first, a very good agreement between non-linear responses obtained with the proposed mode superposition and with a direct integration method was observed. Then a comparison of results obtained with the three different analytical models of the isolation bearings was carried out. At last, the exact modal response obtained with analytical models depending from the design displacement of the isolation bearings was compared with two different approximated solutions, evaluated using mode shapes and isolation properties, respectively, calculated under simplified hypothesis.© 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

For the purpose of accurately predicting the seismic response of base-isolated structures, an analytical hysteresis model for elastomeric seismic isolation bearings is proposed. An extensive series of experimental tests of four types of seismic isolation bearings—two types of high-damping rubber bearings, one type of lead-rubber bearing and one type of silicon rubber bearing—was carried out with the objective of fully identifying their mechanical characteristics. The proposed model is capable of well-predicting the mechanical properties of each type of elastomeric bearing into the large strain range. Earthquake simulator tests were also conducted after the loading tests of the individual bearings. In order to show the validity of the proposed model, non-linear dynamic analyses were conducted to simulate the earthquake simulator test results. Good agreement between the experimental and analytical results shows that the model can be an effective numerical tool to predict not only the peak response value but also the force–displacement relationship of the isolators and floor response spectra for isolated structures. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

研究不同时频特性的地震波作用下,抗震结构和隔震结构耦合设备的动力响应,对五层钢框架振动台模型试验数据进行小波分析。结果表明:主结构动力响应与地震波时频特性直接相关;由于主结构和隔震支座的滤波作用,设备的动力响应受地震波时频特性影响显著,但不具有直接相关性;隔震结构可以使设备的频率远离主结构的频率,从而降低设备的放大系数;设备耦合之后主体结构加速度的变化趋势取决于不同时频特性的地震波能量分布。   相似文献

Three different isolation systems (IS’s) for bridges and viaducts are considered in the present study. All of them are made of steel-PTFE sliding bearings (SB) to support the weight of the deck and auxiliary devices, based on different technologies and materials (i.e. rubber, steel and shape memory alloys), to provide re-centring and/or additional energy dissipating capability. An extensive numerical investigation has been carried out in order to (i) assess the reliability of different design approaches, (ii) compare the response of different types of IS’s, (iii) evaluate the sensitivity of the structural response to friction variability due to bearing pressure, air temperature and state of lubrication and (iv) identify the response variations caused by changes in the ground motion, bridge and isolation characteristics. The nonlinear time-history analyses have been carried out using a simplified pier-deck model, where the pier is modelled as an elastic cantilever beam and the mass of the deck is connected to the pier through suitable nonlinear elements, simulating the behaviour of the IS. Both artificial and natural seismic excitations have been used in the nonlinear dynamic analyses.  相似文献

In order to study the influence of the ground motion spatial effect on the seismic response of large span spatial structures with isolation bearings, a single-layer cylindrical latticed shell scale model with a similarity ratio of 1/10 was constructed. An earthquake simulation shaking table test on the response under multiple-support excitations was performed with the high-position seismic isolation method using high damping rubber(HDR) bearings. Small-amplitude sinusoidal waves and seismic wave records with various spectral characteristics were applied to the model. The dynamic characteristics of the model and the seismic isolation effect on it were analyzed at varying apparent wave velocities, namely infinitely great, 1000 m/s, 500 m/s and 250 m/s. Besides, numerical simulations were carried out by Matlab software. According to the comparison results, the numerical results agreed well with the experimental data. Moreover, the results showed that the latticed shell roof exhibited a translational motion as a rigid body after the installation of the HDR bearings with a much lower natural frequency, higher damping ratio and only 1/2~1/8 of the acceleration response peak values. Meanwhile, the structural responses and the bearing deformations at the output end of the seismic waves were greatly increased under multiple-support excitations.  相似文献

为完善超长联大跨连续梁桥的减、隔震技术,将负刚度装置引入到超长联大跨隔震连续梁桥中组成新型减、隔震系统,并与黏滞阻尼器-摩擦摆支座组合减震系统进行比较。基于CSiBridge软件建立全桥有限元模型,负刚度装置采用弹性多段线模拟,摩擦摆支座采用双线性恢复力模型,黏滞阻尼器采用Maxwell模型,输入3条地震波进行非线性时程分析,考查两种新型减、隔震系统下桥梁结构的地震反应,探究负刚度系统及黏滞阻尼器系统对超长联大跨连续梁桥地震反应的控制效果。研究结果表明:负刚度装置与黏滞阻尼器均可以有效地减小超长联大跨隔震连续梁桥的支座位移。负刚度装置对桥墩内力反应及梁体加速度反应的控制优于黏滞阻尼器。负刚度装置在超长联大跨连续梁桥地震反应控制中有较好的应用前景。  相似文献

The accurate analysis of the seismic response of isolated structures requires incorporation of the flexibility of supporting soil.However,it is often customary to idealize the soil as rigid during the analysis of such structures.In this paper,seismic response time history analyses of base-isolated buildings modelled as linear single degree-of-freedom(SDOF) and multi degree-of-freedom(MDOF) systems with linear and nonlinear base models considering and ignoring the flexibility of supporting soil are conducted.The flexibility of supporting soil is modelled through a lumped parameter model consisting of swaying and rocking spring-dashpots.In the analysis,a large number of parametric studies for different earthquake excitations with three different peak ground acceleration(PGA) levels,different natural periods of the building models,and different shear wave velocities in the soil are considered.For the isolation system,laminated rubber bearings(LRBs) as well as high damping rubber bearings(HDRBs) are used.Responses of the isolated buildings with and without SSI are compared under different ground motions leading to the following conclusions:(1) soil flexibility may considerably influence the stiff superstructure response and may only slightly influence the response of the flexible structures;(2) the use of HDRBs for the isolation system induces higher structural peak responses with SSI compared to the system with LRBs;(3) although the peak response is affected by the incorporation of soil flexibility,it appears insensitive to the variation of shear wave velocity in the soil;(4) the response amplifications of the SDOF system become closer to unit with the increase in the natural period of the building,indicating an inverse relationship between SSI effects and natural periods for all the considered ground motions,base isolations and shear wave velocities;(5) the incorporation of SSI increases the number of significant cycles of large amplitude accelerations for all the stories,especially for earthquakes with low and moderate PGA levels;and(6) buildings with a linear LRB base-isolation system exhibit larger differences in displacement and acceleration amplifications,especially at the level of the lower stories.  相似文献

为评估隔震和非隔震支座对桥梁地震易损性的影响,以一座3跨连续混凝土箱梁桥为分析对象,首先建立采用铅芯橡胶隔震支座与非隔震型盆式橡胶支座下桥梁的数值模型,求得不同程度地震作用下墩顶与支座的最大位移响应;再定义转角延性比损伤指标,结合支座剪应变,分析桥墩和支座的地震易损性情况;最后通过宽界限法建立全桥地震易损性曲线。研究结果表明,支座是较容易发生损坏的构件,而桥梁系统比桥墩或支座更易发生破坏,同时铅芯橡胶支座的破坏概率明显低于非隔震型盆式支座,可见采用隔震支座能有效减小桥墩墩顶在地震作用下的最大位移,此时桥墩地震易损性优于采用非隔震支座的情况。  相似文献

本文对铅芯叠层橡胶支座双向耦合恢复力模型进行了改进,采用基础隔震结构动力分析程序DABIS对铅芯叠层橡胶支座基础隔震结构进行了单向及双向地震反应对比分析。结果表明,在单向和双向地震作用下,基础隔震结构的加速度反应和位移反应较为接近,但在双向地震作用下,支座的最大位移明显大于单向地震作用时的支座最大位移,因而在确定支座最大位移时应考虑双向地震作用的影响。  相似文献

以抗震设防7度区的某高层钢框架结构建筑为研究对象,研究基于隔震就位连接技术的高层钢框架结构建筑抗震技术。对研究对象采用抗震就位连接技术,通过在隔震层中设置弹性滑板支座、厚层橡胶隔震支座化黏滞阻尼器等隔震装置提升研究对象自振周期,降低其上部结构受地震作用的影响程度,增强抗震性能。对研究对象进行模态分析与时程分析,结果显示,所研究隔震技术在显著提升研究对象自振周期,使其摆脱场地特征周期的同时,也能够延缓扭转振型的形成,显著降低地震作用对研究对象上部结构的影响,说明所研究技术的运用具有较好的抗震效果。  相似文献

A new prototype system for earthquake early warning in Taiwan   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A new prototype earthquake early warning (EEW) system is being developed and tested using a real-time seismographic network currently in operation in Taiwan. This system is based on the Earthworm environment which carries out integrated analysis of real-time broadband, strong-motion and short-period signals. The peak amplitude of displacement in the three seconds after the P arrival, dubbed Pd, is used for the magnitude determination. Incoming signals are processed in real time. When a large earthquake occurs, P-wave arrival times and Pd will be estimated for location and magnitude determinations for EEW purpose. In a test of 54 felt earthquakes, this system can report earthquake information in 18.8±4.1 s after the earthquake occurrence with an average difference in epicenter locations of 6.3±5.7 km, and an average difference in depths of 7.9±6.6 km from catalogues. The magnitudes approach a 1:1 relationship to the reported magnitudes with a standard deviation of 0.51. Therefore, this system can provide early warning before the arrival of S-wave for metropolitan areas located 70 km away from the epicenter. This new system is still under development and being improved, with the hope of replacing the current operational EEW system in the future.  相似文献

Modern highway bridges in Illinois are often installed with economical elastomeric bearings that allow for thermal movement of the superstructure, and steel fixed bearings and transverse retainers that prevent excessive movement from service‐level loadings. In the event of an earthquake, the bearing system has the potential to provide a quasi‐isolated response where failure of sacrificial elements and sliding of the bearings can cause a period elongation and reduce or cap the force demands on the substructure. A computational model that has been calibrated for the expected nonlinear behaviors is used to carry out a parametric study to evaluate quasi‐isolated bridge behavior. The study investigates different superstructure types, substructure types, substructure heights, foundation types, and elastomeric bearing types. Overall, only a few bridge variants were noted to unseat for design‐level seismic input in the New Madrid Seismic Zone, indicating that most structures in Illinois would not experience severe damage during their typical design life. However, Type II bearing systems, which consist of an elastomeric bearing and a flat PTFE slider, would in some cases result in critical damage from unseating at moderate and high seismic input. The sequence of damage for many bridge cases indicates yielding of piers at low‐level seismic input. This is caused by the high strength of the fixed bearing element, which justifies further calibration of the quasi‐isolation design approach. The widespread use of sliding bearings for the seismic isolation of structures requires detailed knowledge of their behavior and improved modeling capability under seismic conditions. The paper summarizes the results of a large experimental investigation on steel–PTFE interfaces, aimed at evaluating the effects of sliding velocity, contact pressure, air temperature and state of lubrication on the mechanical behavior of steel-PTFE sliding bearings. Based on the experimental outcomes, two different mathematical models have been calibrated, which are capable of accounting for the investigated parameters in the evaluation of the sliding friction coefficient. The first model is basically an extension of the model proposed by Constantinou et al. (1990)Journal of Earthquake Engineering, 116(2), 455–472, while the second model is derived from the one proposed by Changet al. (1990)Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 116, 2749–2763. Expressions of the model parameters as a function of bearing pressure and air temperature are presented for lubricated and non-lubricated sliding surfaces. In this study, a series of shaking table tests are carried out on scaled models of two seismically isolated highway bridges to investigate the effect of rocking motion and vertical acceleration on seismic performance of resilient sliding isolators. In addition, performance of RSI is compared with system having solely natural rubber bearings. Test results show that variation of normal force on sliders due to rocking effect and vertical acceleration makes no significant difference in response of RSI systems. In addition, analytical response of prototype isolated bridge and the model used in experiments is obtained analytically by using non‐linear model for isolation systems. It is observed that for seismically isolated bridges, dynamic response of full‐scale complex structures can be predicted with acceptable accuracy by experiments using a simple model of the structure. A procedure for the dynamic identification of the physical parameters of coupled base isolation systems is developed in the time domain. The isolation systems considered include high damping rubber bearings (HDRB) and low friction sliding bearings (LFSB). A bi‐linear hysteretic model is used alone or in parallel with a viscous damper to describe the behavior of the HDRB system, while a constant Coulomb friction device is used to model the LFSB system. After deriving the analytical dynamical solution for the coupled system under an imposed initial displacement, this is used in combination with the least‐squares method and an iterative procedure to identify the physical parameters of a given base isolation system belonging to the class described by the models considered. Performance and limitations of the proposed procedure are highlighted by numerical applications. The procedure is then applied to a real base isolation system using data from static and dynamic tests performed on a building at Solarino. The results of the proposed identification procedure have been compared to available laboratory data and the agreement is within ±10%.
