K–Ar dating was applied on authigenic potassic minerals which are abundant in sandstones from the south of the Sanfranciscana Basin, Western Minas Gerais State, central Brazil. The Quintinos Member fluvial sandstones (Três Barras Formation, Areado Group) contain significant amounts of authigenic K‐feldspar as microcrystals of adularia and sanidine habits. The ages of these microcrystals cluster into three groups: 106.1 ± 2.2, 89.9 ± 1.9 and 88.8 ± 1.8 Ma (from Albian to Coniacian). The older age of 106.1 ± 2.2 Ma was obtained from the coarse fraction analysed (10–20 µm) that can contain a mixture of detrital potassic minerals (K‐feldspar, muscovite, biotite and illite) and different authigenesis of K‐feldspar (overgrowths and microcrystals). Thus, only the younger ages were interpreted as precipitation of K‐feldspar microcrystals during the Late Cretaceous into the Quintinos Member sandstones. Moreover, these ages can document the formation of microcrystals within a few million years after deposition of the sandstones. The ages of authigenic illite from the Capacete Formation epiclastic sandstones (Mata da Corda Group) range from 88.5 ± 1.9 to 71.5 ± 1.9 Ma (Coniacian–Campanian). These results suggest the timing of the illitization event in these sandstones as well as a synchrony with K‐feldspar authigenesis in the Quintinos Member sandstones. These results are well constrained and are in agreement with stratigraphic, biostratigraphic and radiometric ages previously reported for the Sanfranciscana Basin. 对松辽盆地东南隆起区嫩江组剖面进行厘米级刻画,分析其为一套深湖相与滨浅湖交互相沉积。在滨浅湖交互相沉积段,水体频繁波动,且波动幅度大。根据颜色、岩性将嫩江组一段地层划分为34个米级旋回,Fischer图解分析将米级旋回归并为11个五级旋回和2个四级旋回。剖面中发育的介形虫灰岩、白云岩结核和火山灰层在松科1井嫩江组一段连续取心中都有响应;剖面和井的Fischer图解对比发现,第15个旋回开始到第25个旋回结束,松辽盆地沉积中心向西北方向迁移,且可能伴随着盆地东缘的抬升运动。  相似文献

丰富川油田西部探区为多层系低渗透复合含油区,储层沉积类型复杂多样,沉积演化在很大程度上控制着油藏的富集。利用钻井、岩心、测井、生产动态等资料,深入分析了该区主要含油层系延长组长2、长4+5、长6沉积相标志、物源方向、沉积构造等特征,建立了多期沉积序列体系,并进行沉积演化特征分析。研究结果表明,延长组主要发育为三角洲沉积体系;沉积物主要通过分流河道由北东向南西输入湖盆,不同时期发育的河道展布继承性较好,充分阐明了该区延长组主要含油层段的沉积规模与沉积演化特征;在同一小层内部,河道展布的继承性较好,且组成的良好储盖组合,为油田下步勘探与寻找油藏富集有利区提供可靠保障。  相似文献

The Neoproterozoic sedimentary cover deposited across the interface of several Pan-African/Brasiliano fold-thrust belts with their respective cratons is strongly similar and has been widely correlated throughout Gondwana. In particular, the upper part of the cratonic cover of the São Francisco Craton has been interpreted as a ring of foreland basin sediments. However, detailed studies carried out around the southern-central part of the Sergipano Belt (NE Brazil) and its interface with the northern margin of the São Francisco Craton demonstrate that: (1) sedimentation records the evolution of a passive continental margin and is divided into two cycles (I and II), each one comprising a basal siliciclastic megasequence overlain by a carbonate megasequence; (2) the cratonic cover comprises cycle I and part of the basal megasequence of cycle II; (3) all of these rocks spread continuously across the craton margin into the Sergipano Belt, where they occur around basement domes and are overlain by a metadiamictite formation and a metacarbonate formation that complete cycle II; and (4) basement and cover underwent the same Brasiliano (670–600 Ma) compressive deformation under sub-greenschist metamorphic conditions. These data deny the foreland basin model for the cratonic sediments to the south of the Sergipano Belt and, coupled with recent data on the evolution of other margins of the craton, indicate that the Neoproterozoic sedimentary cover derives from highs existing close to the centre of the ancient São Francisco Plate. This sedimentary cover was also influenced by highs of an Andean-type margin that evolved ca 900–640 Ma along the western side of the plate. Such evolution also applies to the Neoproterozoic cover of other cratons of the Pan-African/Brasiliano orogeny.  相似文献

Since the mid 1990s, the Mission paléoanthropologique francotchadienne (MPFT) conducts yearly paleontological field investigations of the Miocene-Pliocene of the Chad Basin. This article synthesizes some of the results of the MPFT, with focus on the Chad Basin development during the Neogene. We propose an overview of the depositional paleoenvironments of this part of Africa at different scales of time and space, based on a multidisciplinary approach (sedimentary geology, geomorphology, geophysic, numerical simulations and geochronology). The Miocene-Pliocene paleoenvironments are examined through the sedimentary archives of the early hominids levels and the Holocene Lake Mega-Chad episode illustrates the last major paleoenvironmental change in this area. The sedimentary record of the Chad Basin since the Late Miocene can be schematized as the result of recurrent interactions from lake to desert environments.  相似文献

In Alpine Corsica, the major tectonic event during the late Cretaceous was the thrusting to the west of an ophiolitic nappe and its sedimentary cover upon the Variscan basement and its Mesozoic cover. A detailed field survey shows that the basal contact of the nappe corresponds to a pluri-kilometric scale shear zone. Thus gneissified basement slices have been tectonically emplaced in the ophiolitic nappe. The thrusting was responsible for small scale structures: foliation, lineation and folds, initiated in a HP/LT metamorphic context. The deformation analysis shows that the finite strain ellipsoid lies in the constriction field close to that for plane strain. Moreover occurrences of rotational criteria in the XZ planes (sigmoidal micas, asymmetric pressure shadows, quartz C-axes fabrics) are in agreement with shear from east to west. All structural data from microscopic to kilometric scales, of which the most widespread is a transverse stretching lineation, can be interpreted by a simple shear model involving ductile synmetamorphic deformation. At the plate tectonic scale the ophiolitic obduction is due to intraoceanic subduction blocked by underthrusting of continental crust beneath oceanic lithosphere.  相似文献

通过对柴达木盆地盆地钻井岩心的详细分析,在地层划分对比基础上,结合前人研究成果,将盆地古-始新统路乐河组沉积划分为五种沉积相类型,并结合测井相、地震相的识别,对路乐河组沉积特征进行了详细研究。研究表明:该区板块运动控制了盆地的沉积,古近纪初期,由于印度板块与欧亚板块的碰撞俯冲,使柴达木盆地在路乐河组沉积期处于板块挤压阶段,在中生代边缘断陷的基础上周边老山继续隆升,盆地开始下沉,该期成为湖盆的发生、发展时期。由于整个沉积区受到了不同物源供给量以及古气候、古地貌不同,路乐河组沉积期大部分地区主要以红色碎屑沉积为主,大面积发育河流相和洪积相;而由暗色岩系组成的湖泊沉积主要分布在昆仑山和阿尔金山附近,这一带是坳陷湖盆的形成区,相对沉降较快,在狮子沟和七个泉等地发育了深湖相沉积。  相似文献

Seismic refraction surveys conducted in 1976 and 1979 over the broken ice surface of the Arctic Ocean, reveal distinctly different crustal structures for the Fram, Makarov and Canada basins. The Canada Basin, characterized by a 2–4 km thick sedimentary layer and a distinct oceanic layer 3B of 7.5 km/s velocity has the thickest crust and is undoubtedly the oldest of the three. The crust of the Makarov Basin has a thin sedimentary layer of less than 1 km and is about 9 km in total thickness. The Fram Basin has a similarly thin sedimentary layer but is 3–4 km thicker than the Makarov as it approaches the Lomonosov Ridge near the North Pole. The ridge itself is cored by material with a velocity of 6.6 km/s and may be a metagabbro similar to oceanic layer 3A. This ridge root material extends to a depth of about 27 km, where a change occurs to upper-mantle material with a velocity of 8.3 km/s. The core is overlain by up to 6 km of material with a velocity of about 4.7 km/s which could be oceanic layer 2A basalts or continental crystalline rocks with some sedimentary material.The Fram Basin probably began to open contemporaneously with the North Atlantic about 70 m.y. ago, by spreading along the Nansen-Gakkel Ridge. Although not yet dated, the Makarov Basin is probably no older than the initiation of the Fram Basin and may be much younger. The Alpha Ridge may once have been part of the Lomonosov Ridge, splitting off to form the Makarov Basin between 70 and 25 m.y. ago and possibly contributing to the Eurekan Orogeny of 25 m.y. ago, evident on Ellesmere Island. In contrast, the likely age of the Canada Basin lies in the 125–190 m.y. range and may have been formed by the counter-clockwise rotation of Alaska and the Northwind Ridge away from the Canadian Arctic Islands. The Lomonosov Ridge emerges from this scenario as a block resulting from a strike-slip shear zone on the European continental shelf, related to the opening of the Canada basin (180-120 my) and then becomes an entity broken from this shelf by the opening of the Eurasia Basin (70-0 m.y.).  相似文献

Lithological and micropaleontological studies of sediments were carried out along the meridional profile across the Brazil Basin. Based on nannoplankton and diatom assemblages, the sediments represented by oxidized miopelagic clays, differently reduced hemipelagic clays, and clayey-siliceous (Ethmodiscus) and calcareous (coccolith-foraminiferal) oozes are attributed to the Pleistocene-Holocene. Specific features of sedimentary material indicate its redeposition by Antarctic bottom waters, mudflows, slumps, and rockslides. It is shown that sedimentation in the Brazil Basin corresponds to the incomplete pelagic (miopelagic) type of oceanic lithogenesis transitional to the near-continental one.  相似文献

A high-resolution ion-microprobe (SHRIMP) U–Pb zircon age from a tuff layer intercalated in the ammonoid bearing sedimentary succession of the Neuquén Basin in Argentina provides a robust geochronologic date to add to the absolute ages and to improve the relative chronology of the Early Cretaceous Hauterivian stage. The tuff layer appears interbedded between shales of the upper member (Agua de la Mula) of the Agrio Formation within the Spitidiscus riccardii ammonoid zone (base of the Late Hauterivian) yielding a date of 132.5 ± 1.3 Ma. This date confirms and supports an accurate correlation between the ammonoid biostratigraphy of the Neuquén Basin with the Western Mediterranean Province of the Tethys during the Early Cretaceous and matches with the most recently published time scale. It also casts doubts on the validity of K–Ar ages on glauconite-grains recently reported from the Lower Cretaceous of the Vocontian Basin of France.  相似文献

A new basal hadrosauriform dinosaur, Xuwulong yueluni gen. et sp. nov., is reported based on an articulated specimen including a complete cranium, almost complete axial skeleton, and complete left pelvic girdle. The specimen is recovered from the Early Cretaceous Yujingzi Basin in the Jiuquan area, Gansu Province of northwestern China. Xuwulong is among the most basal members of hadrosauriform dinosaurs, and distinguished by its unique lower jaw in having a V-shaped rostral end of the dentary in lateral view and a mandibular articular surface which levels with mid-height of the dentary ramus, as well as an enlarged and downturned prepubic process. Including Xuwulong, three basal hadrosauriforms have been discovered from the Early Cretaceous Xinminpu Group in the Mazongshan area, making it an important area to study the origin and early evolution of duck-billed dinosaurs.  相似文献

自柯克亚深层油气勘探取得突破以来,塔西南坳陷一直受到各类地质学家的广泛关注,有关该盆地的形成和演化历史及其油气资源评价近年来更是成为人们的研究热点.本文在总结前人资料的基础上,探讨塔西南和西昆仑地区自晚古生代以来所经历的构造及沉积格架的演变过程,对塔西南坳陷性质及其演化阶段划分所存在的争议进行了归纳,分析了塔西南-西昆仑这一盆山体系形成和演化中的构造变形和沉积记录.总体来说,根据现有沉积和构造变形资料,中生代之前西昆仑和塔西南坳陷分别处于同一构造背景下的不同沉积单元;二者之间盆山体系的形成主要自晚侏罗世-早白垩世,中-上新世是造盆造山作用机制发生重大转折的时期,或者说早更新世末的构造运动基本上奠定了西昆仑.塔里木盆地南缘现今的盆-山构造格架.  相似文献

四川盆地内仅有5口井钻穿沉积盖层进入基底,而对基底形成时代与发育构造环境的研究较为薄弱。四川盆地威远地区威117井基底取心资料说明基底由花岗岩类组成,花岗岩锆石SHRIMP U-Pb精确定年结果表明其结晶年龄为794±11 Ma,属于新元古代,该年龄与盆地周缘的花岗岩体结晶年龄具有一致性。结合地球化学特征与岩浆成因类型分析,表明该花岗岩体形成于由挤压向伸展环境的转化阶段,即板块俯冲造山运动结束后向陆内大陆裂谷转化阶段的产物,属于Rodinia超级大陆初始裂解阶段。综合分析认为800 Ma左右是四川盆地具有意义的重要地质时期,是盆地基底形成、构造运动性质发生重要转变的主要时期,越过该时期四川盆地处于大陆裂谷伸展构造环境。  相似文献

通过对中华巨石介族的研究,指出宁夏卫宁盆地中宁组下段为法门期滨海相沉积,泥盆纪时属华南生物地理区系。根据生物群和沉积建造的相似性,并结合古地磁资料分析、推测在晚泥盆世期间,包括卫宁盆地在内的河西走廊地体可能还未完全脱离华南地块。  相似文献

Among titanosaurs, osteoderms are morphologically diverse and have been reported from deposits in South America, Africa, Madagascar, Eurasia and Oceania. In Brazil, titanosaur osteoderms are rare and have only been recorded from Bauru Basin sedimentary rocks. Here, we describe a keeled titanosaur osteoderm, which is the first occurrence of an osteoderm specimen in the São Luís Basin, Northeastern Brazil. This osteoderm is characterized by an external bulb, an internal root, and a very rugose cingulum limiting the external and internal surfaces. These characteristics are typical of Titanosauria dermal bones, and this specimen strengthens the idea that the armored sauropods were present during the early Late Cretaceous of Northeastern Brazil, extending their distribution in the northernmost portion of South America.  相似文献

Three genera, known by dorsal finspine, are reported from conglomeratic sandstone at the base of the Lower Permian (Kungurian) Irati Formation (Paraná Basin) near Rio Claro, São Paulo State, Brazil, noteworthy for the great richness of vertebrate fossils. The fossils include: (1) the previously known Sphenacanthus with the species Sphenacanthus sanpauloensis and an indeterminate species; (2) the Permian – Carboniferous genus Amelacanthus; (3) a new indeterminate Chondrichthyes. These fossils are found together with: continental, fresh-water and salt-water vertebrates. The analysis of this assemblage allows inference about the origin of Paraná Basin Chondrichthyes as well as reconstruction of the paleoenvironment and the possible geographic isolation of these fishes during the Permian in Brazil.  相似文献

通过地表露头及钻井取心的浊积岩沉积特征观察及古流向分析、砂岩主量元素化学成分分析及地震相分析,提出塔里木盆地奥陶系陆源碎屑浊积岩主要发育于塔东地区及塘古兹巴斯坳陷的上奥陶统之中,其浊流沉积物源主要来自盆地东南侧的阿尔金岛弧、其次来自盆地西南侧的库地活动陆缘隆起;仅盆地东北缘却尔却克山地区出露的中奥陶统顶部的却尔却克组下部陆源碎屑浊积岩的物源区,主要来自其北侧的库鲁克塔格被动陆缘隆起(台地隆起剥蚀区)。综合分析认为,晚奥陶世发生于板块南缘的阿尔金岛弧及库地活动陆缘隆起与塔里木板块的碰撞挤压运动产生的大量陆源碎屑物源,导致了板块内部多个孤立碳酸盐台地的逐步消亡及板块南部浊流盆地群的形成。  相似文献

The Teisseyre-Tornquist Zone that separates the East European Craton from the Palaeozoic Platform forms one of the most fundamental lithospheric boundaries in Europe. Devonian to Cretaceous-Paleogene evolution of the SE segment of this zone was analyzed using high-quality seismic reflection data that provided detailed information regarding entire Palaeozoic and Mesozoic sedimentary cover, with particular focus on problems of Late Carboniferous and Late Cretaceous-Paleogene basin inversion and uplift. Two previously proposed models of development and inversion of the Devonian-Carboniferous Lublin Basin seem to only partly explain configuration of this sedimentary basin. A new model includes Late Devonian-Early Carboniferous reverse faulting within the cratonic area NE from the Kock fault zone, possibly first far-field effect of the Variscan orogeny. This was followed by Late Carboniferous inversion of the Lublin Basin. Inversion tectonics was associated with strike-slip movements along the Ursynów-Kazimierz fault zone, and thrusting along the Kock fault zone possibly triggered by deeper strike-slip movements. Late Carboniferous inversion-related deformations along the NE boundary of the Lublin Basin were associated with some degree of ductile (quasi-diapiric) deformation facilitated by thick series of Silurian shales. During Mesozoic extension and development of the Mid-Polish Trough major fault zones within the Lublin Basin remained mostly inactive, and subsidence centre moved to the SW, towards the Nowe Miasto-Zawichost fault zone and further to the SW into the present-day Holy Cross Mts. area. Late Cretaceous-Paleogene inversion of the Mid-Polish Trough and formation of the Mid-Polish Swell was associated with reactivation of inherited deeper fault zones, and included also some strike-slip faulting. The study area provides well-documented example of the foreland plate within which repeated basin inversion related to compressive/transpressive deformations was triggered by active orogenic processes at the plate margin (i.e. Variscan or Carpathian orogeny) and involved important strike-slip reactivation of crustal scale inherited fault zones belonging to the Teisseyre-Tornquist Zone.  相似文献

鄂尔多斯盆地陇东地区长7段重力流砂体规模巨大、油气资源丰富,但不同层系不同地区砂体的形态、规模及叠置关系差异巨大,砂体构型特征及发育规律认识程度低,制约了其油气滚动勘探和开发效率。在岩心观察基础上,基于单井砂体构型界面识别和区域性连井砂体对比,结合砂体沉积微相类型开展了砂体构型划分和发育特征研究。研究认为陇东地区长7段重力流砂体规模较大,主要发育西南物源体系,其次为东北物源。发育典型的重力流水道—湖底扇沉积,可细分为侵蚀型水道、过渡型水道、沉积型水道、溢岸、沟道化朵叶体、板状朵叶体和浊积席状砂7种沉积微相。自三角洲前缘斜坡至深湖沉积中心,除砂体形态从条带状向扇形转换外,砂体规模、垂向叠置关系、横向迁移方式等构型特征亦呈现规律性变化,平面上呈现良好的分带性。在靠近三角洲前缘斜坡的近岸半深湖区,单砂体厚度小,呈孤立条带状分布,叠置关系以薄互层或单层型为主;向盆地内部,单砂体厚度增大,横向连通性增强,砂体叠置导致垂向连通性增强,逐渐向连续叠加型转化;靠近沉积中心地区,单砂体厚度略有减小,但横向连通性显著增强,连片性明显,呈间隔叠加型。综合分析认为,该区重力流砂体构型受控于重力流沉积微相、基准面旋回变化以及物源供给速率。  相似文献
