We report H2O maser line observations of the bright-rimmed globule IC 1396 N using a ground-space interferometer with the 10-m RadioAstron radio telescope as the space-based element. The source was not detected on projected baselines >2.3. Earth diameters, which indicates a lower limit on the maser size of L > 0.03 AU and an upper limit on the brightness temperature of 6.25 × 1012 K. Fringe-rate maps are prepared based on data from ground-ground baselines. Positions, velocities and flux densities of maser spots were determined. Multiple low-velocity features from ?4.5 km/s to +0.7 km/s are seen, and two high-velocity features of V LSR = ?9.4 km/s and V LSR = +4.4 km/s are found at projected distances of 157 AU and 70 AU, respectively, from the strongest low-velocity feature at V LSR = ~+0.3 km/s. Maser components from the central part of the spectrum fall into four velocity groups but into three spatial groups. Three spatial groups of low-velocity features detected in the 2014 observations are arranged in a linear structure about ~200 AU in length. Two of these groups were not detected in 1996 and possibly are jets which formed between 1996 and 2014. The putative jet seems to have changed direction in 18 years, which we explain by the precession of the jet under the influence of the gravity of material surrounding the globule. The jet collimation can be provided by a circumstellar protoplanetary disk. There is a straight line orientation in the “V LSR-Right Ascension” diagram between the jet and the maser group at V LSR = ~+0.3 km/s. However, the central group with the same position but at the velocity V LSR ~ ?3.4 km/s falls on a straight line between two high-velocity components detected in 2014. Comparison of the low-velocity positions from 2014 and 1996, based on the same V LSR-Right Ascension diagram for low-velocity features, shows that the majority of the masers maintain their positions near the central velocity V LSR = ~0.3 km/s during the 18 year period.  相似文献

A new OH maser was detected in January 2008 toward the infrared source IRAS 05338-0624 in the dark cloud L1641N. The observations were carried out on the Nan cay Radio Telescope (France) in the 1667 and 1665 MHz OH lines. In the spectra of both lines, thermal OH emission from the surrounding molecular cloud is present at radial velocities V LSR = 6–9 km/s. In addition, a narrow maser feature is present in both lines at V LSR = 2 km/s in the profiles obtained on January 7, 2008; the peak flux densities at 1667 and 1665 MHz are 1.5 and 0.4 Jy, respectively. No OH maser emission was detected in February–July 2008. Then, a maser feature was again observed in the 1665 MHz line on August 20, 2008, at the same velocity as in January, V LSR = 2 km/s, with a peak flux density of 0.4 Jy. No 1667 MHz counterpart was observed with an upper limit of ~0.1 Jy. Emission in both OH lines was again absent on September 18. The source was also observed in the H2O line at λ = 1.35 cm on the 22-m radio telescope of the Pushchino Radio Astronomy Observatory (Russia) on February 7 and 13, 2008. In both cases, a maser feature was detected at V LSR = 9 km/s, with peak flux densities of 35 and 15 Jy, respectively. After the its apparent absence in April, H2O maser emission reappeared on May 14, 2008, at V LSR = 7 km/s with a flux density of about 15 Jy. The history of previous observations of the object in the OH and H2O lines is traced. The maser displays strong and rapid flux variability in the lines of both molecules, as is typical of young low-luminosity stellar objects at early stages of their evolution.  相似文献

Based on high-resolution observations (R = 60 000 and 75 000), we have studied the optical spectral variability of the star BD + 48°1220, identified with the IR source IRAS 05040+4820. We have measured the equivalent widths of numerous absorption lines of neutral atoms and ions at wavelengths from 4500 Å to 6760 Å, as well as the corresponding radial velocities. We use model atmospheres to determine the effective temperature T eff = 7900 K, surface gravity log g = 0.0, microturbulence velocity ξ t = 6.0, and the abundances for 16 elements. The star’s metallicity differs little from the solar value: [Fe/H] = ?0.10 dex. The main peculiarity of the chemical composition of the star is a large helium excess, derived from the Hel λ 5876 Å absorption, [He/H] = +1.04, and the equally large oxygen excess, [O/Fe] = +0.72 dex. The carbon excess is small, [C/Fe] = +0.09 dex, and the ratio [C/O] < 1. We obtained an altered relation for the light-metal abundances: [Na/Fe] = +0.87 dex with [Mg/Fe] = ?0.31 dex. The barium abundance is low, [Ba/Fe] = ?0.84 dex. It is concluded that the selective separation of elements onto dust grains of the envelope is probably efficient. The radial velocity of the star measured from photospheric absorption lines over three years of observations varies in the interval V = ?(7–15) km/s. Time-variable differential line shifts have been revealed. The entire set of available data (the luminosity M v ≈ ?5 m , velocity V lsr ≈ ?20 km/s, metallicity [Fe/H] = ?0.10, and peculiarities of the optical spectrum and chemical composition) confirms the status of BD + 48°1220 as a post-AGB star with He and O excesses belonging to the Galactic disk.  相似文献

Twenty-eight CS molecular clouds toward HII regions with Galactocentric distances from ~ 4 to 20 kpc have been studied based on observations obtained in the J=2→1 lines of CS and C34S on the 20-meter radio telescope of the Onsala Space Observatory (Sweden) in March 2001. All 28 clouds have been mapped with an angular resolution of ~40″. The peak intensity in the C34S line has been measured for 20 objects. An LTE analysis has been performed and the parameters of the molecular cloud cores derived. The core sizes are dA=0.3–4.8 pc, with a median value of ~1.6 pc. The mean hydrogen densities in the cloud cores are nH2=3.5×102–3.7 × 104 cm?3, with a median value of ~7.2×103 cm?3. The value of nH2 ends to decrease with increasing Galactocentric distance of the cloud. The masses of most clouds are 102?6×103M, with the most probable value being MCS~103M. The data follow the dependence MCSd A (2.4–3.2) . As a rule, the cloud masses are lower than the virial masses for MCS<103M.  相似文献

Radio interferometric observations of an H2O maser flare in the Orion Nebula at epoch 1982.9 have been used to determine the flare’s spatial structure. Antennas in the Crimea, Effelsberg, and Onsala were used. The emission region consists of three groups of components. The angular sizes of the components are 0.2–0.9 mas, and the widths of the emitted lines are 0.2–0.7 km/s. The velocities of the components are correlated with their relative positions, which correspond to expanding concentric rings. Assuming a 1 M protostar in a Keplerian approximation, the radius of the inner ring R is 15 AU, the velocity of its rotation Vrot is 8.98 km/s, and the radial component of the velocity Vrad is 1.79 km/s. For the outer ring, R=15.7 AU, Vrot=8.79 km/s, and Vrad=2.61 km/s.  相似文献

The distribution of the directions of the space velocities of 67 radio pulsars is shown to be strongly anisotropic. This anisotropy cannot be explained by the structure of our Galaxy or by various types of solar motions. Pulsars with stronger surface magnetic fields B have higher velocities V. The mean value of V for B < 1010 G is 108 km/s, while 〈V〉 = 340 km/s for B > 1010 G. These results must be taken into account when identifying a mechanism to explain the observed pulsar velocities and their anisotropy.  相似文献

The components U0 and V0 of the solar motion and the Oort constant A0 are determined using the data of a homogeneous open-cluster catalog with corrected distance moduli. The results are based on a sample of 146 open clusters with known radial velocities located in the Galactic plane (b<7°) within 4 kpc of the Sun. The solar Galactocentric distance R0 is determined using two kinematic methods. The following results are obtained: A0=17.0±0.9 km/s kpc, U0=10.5±1.0 km/s, V0=11.5±1.1 km/s, R0=8.3±0.3 pc.  相似文献

Multi-epoch observations with high spectral resolution acquired in 1998–2008 are used to study the time behavior of the spectral-line profiles and velocity fields in the atmosphere and circumstellar shell of the post-AGB star V448 Lac. Asymmetry of the profiles of the strongest absorption lines with lower-level excitation potentials χ low < 1 eV and time variations of these profiles have been detected, most prominently the profiles of the resonance lines of BaII, YII, LaII, SiII. The peculiarities of these profiles can be explained using a superposition of stellar absorption line and shell emission lines. Emission in the (0; 1) 5635 Å Swan system band of the C2 molecule has been detected in the spectrum of V448 Lac for the first time. The core of the Hα line displays radial-velocity variations with an amplitude of ΔV r ≈ 8 km/s. Radial-velocity variations displayed by weak metallic lines with lower amplitudes, ΔV r ≈ 1–2 km/s, may be due to atmospheric pulsations. Differential line shifts, ΔV r = 0–8 km/s have been detected on various dates. The position of the molecular spectrum is stationary in time, indicating a constant expansion velocity of the circumstellar shell, V exp = 15.2 km/s, as derived from the C2 and NaI lines.  相似文献

We present the results of a joint analysis of JHK interferometric and UBVJHKLM photometric observations of RCrB acquired in June 2001. The baseline for the IOTA interferometer was 21.18 m. During the observations, the star was in its bright state in the V band and near its maximum brightness in the L band. Our analysis reveals an IR source that is considerably smaller than the extended dust envelope discovered earlier. We identify this compact IR source with the emission from a group of dust clouds. The linear scale (diameter) of the IR source was d in,c ≈ 13.5D* (its angular diameter is θin,c≈6.4 mas). About 7% of the star’s radiation was obscured by this group of clouds, which contributed ~14% of the total IR excess of R CrB and ~22% of the K-band flux. The color temperature of the compact source was only ~300 K higher than the color temperature of the extended dust envelope. The inner boundary of the extended dust envelope had a diameter of d in,e ≈ 90D*in,e≈43 mas).  相似文献

We model the Galactic ensemble of helium stars using population synthesis techniques, assuming that all helium stars are formed in binaries. In this picture, single helium stars are produced by mergers of helium remnants of the components of close binaries (mainly, the merging of helium white dwarfs) or in the disruption of binaries with helium components during supernova explosions. The estimated total birthrate of helium stars in the Galaxy is 0.043 yr?1; the total number is 4 × 106; and the binarity rate is 76%. We construct a subsample of low-mass (MHe ? 2M) helium stars defined by observational selection effects: the limiting magnitude (VHe ≤ 16), ratio of the magnitudes of the components in binaries (VHeVcomp), and lower limit for the semiamplitude of the radial velocity required for detecting binarity (Kmin = 30 km s?1). The parameters of this subsample are in satisfactory agreement with observations of helium subdwarfs. In particular, the binarity rate in the selection-limited sample is 58%. We analyze the relations between the orbital periods and masses of helium subdwarfs and their companions in systems with various combinations of components. We predict that the overwhelming majority (~97%) of unobserved companions to helium stars will be white dwarfs, predominantly, carbon-oxygen white dwarfs.  相似文献

We present the results of our many-year (1968–2008) photoelectric photometry and absolute spectrophotometry of the young variable planetary nebula IC 4997, performed in uniform systems. Integrated line energy fluxes in the range 3727–5007 Å are tabulated, along with the integrated (star + nebula) continuum flux at 4500 Å, and time variations investigated. We study the time behavior of fluxes in the hydrogen, HeI, [OIII], [OII], [NeIII] emission lines. Variations of the line intensity ratio R = F([OIII]4363 Å)/F(Hγ) between 1938 and 2008 are presented. We estimate the nebula’s electron density N e and electron temperature T e for 1972–1992: the mean nebula N e increased by the factor of five, from ~4 × 105 to ~2 × 106 cm?3, while the mean T e increased from 12 000 to 14 000 K. The color temperature of the exciting star, measured from the 4000–4900 Å continuum, increased from 37 000–40 000 K to 47 000 K during the time interval covered by our observations, as is confirmed by the growth of ionization of HeI, NeIII, and OIII (from the 4363 Å line). V-band variations of the object’s integrated (nebula + star) light with an amplitude about 0.5 m can essentially be fully explained as being due to changing contributions from variable fluxes in the [OIII] 5007 and 4959 Å lines. The V magnitude in 2009 (after 40 years) happened to be the same as at the start of our observations in 1968. A period of the order of 50 years can also be noted in log R(t). This may provide evidence for binarity of the central star and be related to its orbital period.  相似文献

The thermal evolution of 10-Å phase Mg3Si4O10(OH)2·H2O, a phyllosilicate which may have an important role in the storage/release of water in subducting slabs, was studied by X-ray single-crystal diffraction in the temperature range 116–293 K. The lattice parameters were measured at several intervals both on cooling and heating. The structural model was refined with intensity data collected at 116 K and compared to the model refined at room temperature. As expected for a layer silicate on cooling in this temperature range, the a and b lattice parameters undergo a small linear decrease, α a  = 1.7(4) 10?6 K?1 and α b  = 1.9(4) 10?6 K?1, where α is the linear thermal expansion coefficient. The greater variation is along the c axis and can be modeled with the second order polynomial c T  = c 293(1 + 6.7(4)10?5 K?1ΔT + 9.5(2.5)10?8 K?2T)2) where ΔT = T ? 293 K; the monoclinic angle β slightly increased. The cell volume thermal expansion can be modeled with the polynomial V T  V 293 (1 + 8.0 10?5 K?1 ΔT + 1.4 10?7 K?2T)2) where ΔT = T ? 293 is in K and V in Å3. These variations were similar to those expected for a pressure increase, indicating that T and P effects are approximately inverse. The least-squares refinement with intensity data measured at 116 K shows that the volume of the SiO4 tetrahedra does not change significantly, whereas the volume of the Mg octahedra slightly decreases. To adjust for the increased misfit between the tetrahedral and octahedral sheets, the tetrahedral rotation angle α changes from 0.58° to 1.38°, increasing the ditrigonalization of the silicate sheet. This deformation has implications on the H-bonds between the water molecule and the basal oxygen atoms. Furthermore, the highly anisotropic thermal ellipsoid of the H2O oxygen indicates positional disorder, similar to the disorder observed at room temperature. The low-temperature results support the hypothesis that the disorder is static. It can be modeled with a splitting of the interlayer oxygen site with a statistical distribution of the H2O molecules into two positions, 0.6 Å apart. The resulting shortest Obas–OW distances are 2.97 Å, with a significant shortening with respect to the value at room temperature. The low-temperature behavior of the H-bond system is consistent with that hypothesized at high pressure on the basis of the Raman spectra evolution with P.  相似文献

The mixing of metals in the intergalactic gas when a galaxy with a metal-rich envelope moves through the intergalactic medium is analyzed. Two simple models for the initial distribution of metals are considered. In the first case, the metals are concentrated in a fairly thin envelope with thickness ΔR s =1 kpc, outer radius R s =31 kpc, and metallicity Z=10?3. In the second case, material with the same metallicity uniformly fills an entire spherical region of radius R s . After 2.85 Gyr, the metals are distributed over a fairly extended volume with a typical size of ?200 kpc in the direction of the motion of the intergalactic gas, with a mean metallicity of ?4.6×10?4 in metal-enriched regions. However, the distribution of metals remains extremely nonuniform, so that the main contribution to the overall metallicity is provided by metal-rich islands Z?6×10?4 that occupy only ~10% of the total mixing volume. Moreover, metal-free regions remain in this volume.  相似文献

The results of JHKLM photometry of two carbon stars are presented: the irregular variable NQ Cas and the Mira star BD Vul. Data on the mean fluxes supplemented with mid-IR observations with the IRAS, AKARI, andWISE satellites are used to compute spherically symmetrical model dust envelopes for the stars, consisting of particles of amorphous carbon and silicon carbide. The optical depth in the visible for the comparatively cool dust envelope of BD Vul, with a dust temperature at its inner boundary T1 = 610 K, is fairly low: τV = 0.13. The dust envelope of NQ Cas is appreciably hotter (T1 = 1550 K), and has τV = 0.32. The estimated mass-loss rates are 1.5 × 10?7M/yr for NQ Cas and 5.9 × 10?7M/yr for BD Vul.  相似文献

The emission measures EM in the directions of supernova remnants and pulsars are considered as functions of their ages t. The resulting plot has a well-defined lower boundary, which can be approximated by the expression EMmin∝1/t. The quantity EMmin increases with decreasing age t and does not level off or reach a maximum until t?500 yr. It is concluded that the bulk of the radiative energy that goes into ionizing and heating the interstellar gas is released at early stages of the supernova remnant’s evolution. We suggest that most of the kinetic energy of the supernova shell is converted into thermal energy and radiated at remnant ages t<100 yr, when the supernova shell, which is expanding at an enormous speed (about 104 km/s), overtakes the shell produced by the presupernova in the supergiant stage. We have estimated the ionization energy E?1051 erg, diameter L?60 pc, and electron density Ne?7 cm?3 of the HII regions around the supernovae (the supernova Strömgren zones). A list of objects that can be reliably identified as Strömgren zones of type II supernovae is presented. The plot of pulsar pulse broadening τ as a function of the pulsar age t also has a well-defined lower boundary, for which τ∝t?2 when t≥1000 yr. This suggests that turbulence develops during the first thousand years after the supernova outburst. It is also concluded that turbulence plays an important role in the formation and evolution of the Strömgren zones of type II supernovae.  相似文献

AIA/SDO data in the 193 Å channel preceding a coronal mass ejection observed at the solar limb on June 13, 2010 are used to simultaneously identify and examine two different shock fronts. The angular size of each front relative to the CME center was about 20°, and their propagation directions differed by ≈25° (≈4° in position angle). The faster front, called the blast shock, advanced the other front, called the piston shock, by R ≈ (0.02-0.03)R⊙ (R⊙ is the solar radius) and had a maximum initial speed of VB ≈ 850 km/s (with VP ≈ 700 km/s for the piston shock). The appearance and motion of these shocks were accompanied by a Type II radio burst observed at the fundamental frequency F and second harmonic H. Each frequency was split into two close frequencies f1 and f2 separated by Δf = f2 - f1 ? F, H. It is concluded that the observed frequency splitting Δf of the F and H components of the Type II burst could result from the simultaneous propagation of piston and blast shocks moving with different speeds in somewhat different directions displaying different coronal-plasma densities.  相似文献

The thermoelastic parameters of the CAS phase (CaAl4Si2O11) were examined by in situ high-pressure (up to 23.7 GPa) and high-temperature (up to 2,100 K) synchrotron X-ray diffraction, using a Kawai-type multi-anvil press. PV data at room temperature fitted to a third-order Birch–Murnaghan equation of state (BM EOS) yielded: V 0,300 = 324.2 ± 0.2 Å3 and K 0,300 = 164 ± 6 GPa for K′ 0,300 = 6.2 ± 0.8. With K′ 0,300 fixed to 4.0, we obtained: V 0,300 = 324.0 ± 0.1 Å3 and K 0,300 = 180 ± 1 GPa. Fitting our PVT data with a modified high-temperature BM EOS, we obtained: V 0,300 = 324.2 ± 0.1 Å3, K 0,300 = 171 ± 5 GPa, K′ 0,300 = 5.1 ± 0.6 (?K 0,T /?T) P  = ?0.023 ± 0.006 GPa K?1, and α0,T  = 3.09 ± 0.25 × 10?5 K?1. Using the equation of state parameters of the CAS phase determined in the present study, we calculated a density profile of a hypothetical continental crust that would contain ~10 vol% of CaAl4Si2O11. Because of the higher density compared with the coexisting minerals, the CAS phase is expected to be a plunging agent for continental crust subducted in the transition zone. On the other hand, because of the lower density compared with lower mantle minerals, the CAS phase is expected to remain buoyant in the lowermost part of the transition zone.  相似文献

We have used high-resolution spectra to study the giants 15 Ori and 22 ? Sex. The effective temperature T eff = 7060 K, gravity log g = 3.16, and microturbulence velocity ξ t = 3.5 km/s were determined for 15 Ori, with T eff = 7350 K and log g = 3.90 for 22 ? Sex (the microturbulence velocity for 22 ? Sex was assumed to be ξ t = 2.7 km/s). We estimated the abundances of C, N, O, Na, Si, Ca, Fe, and Ba (N and Ba, for 15 Ori only). The abundances of carbon, iron, and oxygen in 22 ? Sex are higher than the solar values by +0.31 dex, +0.33 dex, and +0.18 dex, respectively, while the calcium abundance is ?0.19 dex below the solar level. For 15 Ori, we find a slight carbon excess (+0.19 dex), a slight nitrogen deficiency (?0.13 dex), and a considerable deficiency of silicon (?0.42 dex). The abundances of the remaining elements in both stars are near-solar. We find no substantial differences between the abundances derived for 15 Ori and 22 ? Sex and the results of earlier studies of giants by both ourselves and Erspamer and North. A comparison of the atmospheric elemental abundances of giants and δ Scuti stars indicates that the abundances of some lighter elements (oxygen, sodium, silicon, and possibly nitrogen) are somewhat lower for δ Scuti stars than for A-F giants. We determined the masses, radii, luminosities, and ages for 15 Ori and 22 ? Sex.  相似文献

Five regions of massive-star formation have been observed in various molecular lines in the frequency range~85?89 GHz. The studied regions comprise dense cores, which host young stellar objects. The physical parameters of the cores are estimated, including the kinetic temperatures (~20?40 K), the sizes of the emitting regions (~0.1?0.6 pc), and the virial masses (~40?500 M). The column densities and abundances of various molecules are calculated assuming Local Thermodynamical Equilibrium(LTE). The core in 99.982+4.17, which is associated with the weakest IRAS source, is characterized by reduced molecular abundances. The molecular line widths decrease with increasing distance from the core centers (b). For b ? 0.1 pc, the dependences ΔV (b) are close to power laws (∝b?p), where p varies from ~0.2 to ~0.5, depending on the object. In four cores, the asymmetries of the optically thick HCN(1–0) and HCO+(1–0) lines indicates systematicmotions along the line of sight: collapse in two cores and expansion in two others. Approximate estimates of the accretion rates in the collapsing cores indicate that the forming stars have masses exceeding the solar mass.  相似文献

Comparisons of the brightness distributions of the white corona observed at distances of several solar radii with solar wind velocities derived from interplanetary-scintillation observations, as well as analyses of solar wind data obtained on spacecraft from December 1994 to June 1995, indicate that the fast solar wind can contain plasma with velocities V ≈ 300–450 km/s, approaching those typical for the slow solar wind that flows in the streamer belt and chains of streamers. At the same time, certain other parameters, first and foremost the plasma density N and ratio T/N 0.5 (where T is the temperature), indicate that these two flows differ considerably. The slow solar wind flowing in the streamer belt and chains displays high densities N > 10 ± 2 cm?3 and low T/N 0.5 < 1.7 × 104 K cm3/2 at the Earth’s orbit. The number of slow solar-wind sources observed in chains can be comparable with the number observed in the belt. The fast solar wind flowing from coronal holes always displays low densities N≤ 8 cm?3 and high T/N 0.5 > 1.7 × 104 K cm3/2. These properties probably indicate different origins of the fast and slow solar winds.  相似文献
