The study of Einstein's field equations describing Robertson-Walker cosmological models with massive scalar field and viscous fluid representing the matter has been made. The problem has been investigated with and without the source density in the wave equation. Corresponding exact solutions of the field equations have been obtained under different physical equations of state: namely, (i) dust distribution, (ii) Zeldovich fluid distribution, (iii) disordered distribution of radiation subject to physically realistic conditions. The physical interpretations of the physically realistic solutions has been investigated. It has been found that physically realistic solutions has been obtained for closed cosmological models only.  相似文献

The method of computer controlled photoelectric drift scans has been improved by virtue of a new timing technique, allowing for an accuracy of 4 ms or equivalently 50 km on the Sun. With this technique, our previous result for the solar semidiameter has been confirmed: R = 960.277″. The extreme solar limb intensity profile at 5012 Å has been derived from drift scans. A comparison with the computed profile has been made, and parameters for the base of the chromosphere have been derived.

The effect of finite conductivity on the Rayleigh-Taylor instability of an incompressible, viscous rotating fluid through a porous medium has been studied in the presence of a two-dimensional horizontal magnetic field. It has been shown that the solution is characterized by a variational principle. By making use of the existence of the variational principle, proper solutions have been obtained for a semi-infinite fluid in which density has a one-dimensional (exponential) vertical stratification. The dispersion relation has been derived and solved numerically. It is found that finite resistivity and porosity have a destabilizing effect on the Rayleigh-Taylor instability while rotation has a stabilizing effect.  相似文献

Plasma temperature diagnostics in solar flares and active regions has been carried out using data from the SPIRIT spectroheliograph onboard the CORONAS-F satellite. The temperature distribution of the differential emission measure (DEM) has been determined from the relative intensities of spectral lines recorded in the spectral range 280–330 Å in the period from 2001 to 2005. Analysis of these distributions has led to the conclusion about the existence of active regions with various “characteristic” temperature compositions. The presence of a hot plasma with temperatures logT = 6.8?7.2 in active regions has been established for the first time from XUV spectroscopic data and monochromatic X-ray line images. The DEM distribution for intense long-decay flares has also been obtained for the first time and a similarity of the temperature compositions for flares of different classes at the decay phase has been found. The spectra have been modeled on the basis of the calculated DEMs. The systematic discrepancies between the calculated and measured line intensities are discussed.  相似文献

The non-linear regime of electrostatic perturbations of the equatorial ionospheric F-region generated by Rayleigh-Taylor instability has been discussed, taking into account conductivity along magnetic field lines. A closed non-linear equation has been derived in the stationary limit for the polarization electric field potential. It coincides with the Karman equation of an ideal liquid. To solve the equation, the averaged variational Whitham method has been proposed. Some solutions localized along and across the geomagnetic field, B, as well as quasi-periodic solutions in the transverse direction, have been investigated. Non-linear longitudinal localization of perturbations has been shown to be due to electron-ion collisions.  相似文献

The instability in a horizontal layer of stratified compressible isotropic and anisotropic plasmas has been studied to include simultaneously the effects of Coriolis forces and the finiteness of the ion Larmor radius. Using an integral approach, the dispersion relation has been derived in both cases for plasmas having density stratified exponentially along the vertical. The dispersion, relation has been solved numerically and it is found that both the FLR and Coriolis forces have stabilizing influence on the instability in the isotropic plasmas. The same result is obtained for the case of anisotropic plasmas where also the dispersion relation has been evaluated numerically.  相似文献

Considering the presence of electric field parallel to geomagnetic field in the magnetosphere, the problem of wave-particle interaction has been considered. Dispersion equation of whistler mode wave in presence of parallel electric field has been derived. Using the effective dispersion equation, the wave-particle interaction has been reformulated to account for the effect of parallel electric field. Using charged particle energy spectrum and magnetospheric field and plasma models, the flux of electron precipitation has been computed. It is shown that the parallel electric field plays an important role and may work in simultaneity with other processes known for enhancement of electron precipitation.  相似文献

The stability of the plane interface separating two viscous superposed partially-ionized plasmas of uniform densities has been studied. The whole system is assumed to be immersed in a uniform two-dimensional horizontal magnetic field and the stability analysis has been carried out through the normal mode technique. The dispersion relation has been derived for the case of two superposed plasmas of equal kinematic viscosities. The dispersion relation has been solved numerically for different values of the physical parameters involved. It is found that viscosity and collision frequency of ionized plasmas both have stabilizing influence on the growth rate of the unstable mode of disturbance.  相似文献

The problem of gravitational instability of an infinite homogenous fluid has been considered in the presence of a non-vertical magnetic field. A non-linear relation between the magnetic field and the magnetic induction proposed by P.H. Roberts (1981) in the context of neutron stars has been used. The dispersion relations have been obtained. It has been found that Jeans's criterion for instability is unaffected by this non-linear relationship even if the effect due to rotation is considered in the presence of a non-vertical magnetic field.  相似文献

The problem of diffuse reflection by a homogeneous, isotropically scattering, infinite cylindrical medium has been considered. The relevant auxiliary equation has been formulated, the scattering function defined and the integro-differential equation for such function deduced. From a series of long duration continuous Doppler records of selected spectral lines, characteristics of solar velocity oscillations have been studied. Statistical distribution of the durations of the bursts of oscillations has been estimated. From the nature of distortion of the waveforms of the oscillation, the presence of disturbing impulses has been speculated. Constancy and homogeneity of the oscillations have been examined from detailed spectral density plots. Duration indices for the oscillations at different heights in the solar atmosphere have been derived by estimating mean spectral densities of characteristic oscillation amplitudes during several individual bursts and comparing them with corresponding spectral densities from long records. The variation among experimental results has been explained as due to the limitations of the power spectral analysis method on short records.  相似文献

The effect of Hall currents have been studied on the instability of a stratified layer of a self-gravitating finitely conducting plasma of varying density. It is assumed that the plasma is permeated by a variable horizontal magnetic field stratified vertically. The stability analysis has been carried out for longitudinal mode of wave propagation. The solution has been obtained through integral equation approach. The dispersion relation has been derived and solved numerically. The expulsion of magnetic flux lines from a growing superconducting core of a quark star has been investigated. The idea of impurity diffusion in molten alloys and an identical mechanism of baryon number transport from hot quark-gluon-plasma phase to hadronic phase during quark-hadron phase transition in the early universe, micro-second after big bang has been used. The edge-on presentation of Saturn's rings and satellites system has provided a rare opportunity to observe total eclipses of Titan. During its emersion from the Saturnian shadow (1980, June 28), Titan has been observed simultaneously in the visible and the infrared ranges (6000–9000 Å, 11.8 μm and 20 μm). No change has been recorded in these three spectral ranges. Our observations tend to support the thick-atmosphere model, which has been shown to be valid by Voyager a few months later.  相似文献

Coherent structures entailing the existence of double layers have been studied in magnetised plasma contaminated with dust charging fluctuations. It has been shown that the dust charging in magnetic plasma leads to complexity in the derivation of the Sagdeev wave equation, but under way new procedure enable one to study the nature of double layers showing the effective role of the constituents of the plasma. A parametric analysis is a subject of interest in laboratory and space plasmas, and it has been explained with the input of various typical plasma numerics. The proposed mathematical mechanism has shown the success to yield plasma acoustic modes in a dusty plasma which, in turn, has been solved convincingly for double layers. Observations have been evaluated in an appropriate model with a view to agree with the observations in astrophysical problems dealing with present new findings.  相似文献

An experiment has been performed at 325 MHz, with a 10 m tracking dish, for the search of pulsed radio emission associated with X-ray pulsars. Instability of a horizontal rotating layer of a self-gravitating electrically conducting fluid has been studied to simultaneously, include the effects of Hall currents and magnetic resistivity. The prevailing magnetic field is uniform and acts along the vertical direction along which the fluid has a one-dimensional density gradient. The solution has been obtained through the variational methods. The dispersion relation obtained has been solved numerically and it is found that Hall currents as well as magnetic resistivity have a destabilizing influence. Minimum-relative-entropy method (MREM) has been presented as a solution to the missing short-baseline problem in the synthesis observations. It is shown that a measure of distance between the prior model and the image in the plane of pixel brightness is an adequate measure of relative entropy. The method has been further extended for polarization observations and the potential of the method against the conventional MEM has been demonstrated by simulated examples.  相似文献
