The orbits of fictitious bodies around Jupiter’s stable equilibrium points L 4 and L 5 were integrated for a fine grid of initial conditions up to 100 million years. We checked the validity of three different dynamical models, namely the spatial, restricted three body problem, a model with Sun, Jupiter and Saturn and also the dynamical model with the Outer Solar System (Jupiter to Neptune). We determined the chaoticity of an orbit with the aid of the Lyapunov Characteristic Exponents (=LCE) and used also a method where the maximum eccentricity of an orbit achieved during the dynamical evolution was examined. The goal of this investigation was to determine the size of the regions of motion around the equilibrium points of Jupiter and to find out the dependance on the inclination of the Trojan’s orbit. Whereas for small inclinations (up to i=20°) the stable regions are almost equally large, for moderate inclinations the size shrinks quite rapidly and disappears completely for i>60°. Additionally, we found a difference in the dynamics of orbits around L 4 which – according to the LCE – seem to be more stable than the ones around L 5.  相似文献

We study the various families of periodic orbits in a dynamical system representing a plane rotating barred galaxy. One can have a general view of the main resonant types of orbits by considering the axisymmetric background. The introduction of a bar perturbation produces infinite gaps along the central familyx 1 (the family of circular orbits in the axisymmetric case). It produces also higher order bifurcations, unstable regions along the familyx 1, and long period orbits aroundL 4 andL 5. The evolution of the various types of orbits is described, as the Jacobi constanth, and the bar amplitude, increase. Of special importance are the infinities of period doubling pitchfork bifurcations. The genealogy of the long and short period orbits is described in detail. There are infinite gaps along the long period orbits producing an infinity of families. All of them bifurcate from the short period family. The rules followed by these families are described. Also an infinity of higher order bridges join the short and long period families. The analogies with the restricted three body problem are stressed.  相似文献

Due to various perturbations, the collinear libration points of the real Earth–Moon system are not equilibrium points anymore. Under the assumption that the Moon’s motion is quasi-periodic, special quasi-periodic orbits called dynamical substitutes exist. These dynamical substitutes replace the geometrical collinear libration points as time-varying equilibrium points. In the paper, the dynamical substitutes of the three collinear libration points in the real Earth–Moon system are computed. For the points L 1 and L 2, linearized motions around the dynamical substitutes are described, and the variational equations of the dynamical substitutes are reduced to a form with a near constant coefficient matrix. Then higher order analytical formulae of the central manifolds are constructed. Using these analytical solutions as initial seeds, Lissajous orbits and halo orbits are computed with numerical algorithms.  相似文献

We investigated the stable area for fictive Trojan asteroids around Neptune’s Lagrangean equilibrium points with respect to their semimajor axis and inclination. To get a first impression of the stability region we derived a symplectic mapping for the circular and the elliptic planar restricted three body problem. The dynamical model for the numerical integrations was the outer Solar system with the Sun and the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. To understand the dynamics of the region around L 4 and L 5 for the Neptune Trojans we also used eight different dynamical models (from the elliptic problem to the full outer Solar system model with all giant planets) and compared the results with respect to the largeness and shape of the stable region. Their dependence on the initial inclinations (0° < i < 70°) of the Trojans’ orbits could be established for all the eight models and showed the primary influence of Uranus. In addition we could show that an asymmetry of the regions around L 4 and L 5 is just an artifact of the different initial conditions.  相似文献

It is known since the seminal study of Laskar (1989) that the inner planetary system is chaotic with respect to its orbits and even escapes are not impossible, although in time scales of billions of years. The aim of this investigation is to locate the orbits of Venus and Earth in phase space, respectively, to see how close their orbits are to chaotic motion which would lead to unstable orbits for the inner planets on much shorter time scales. Therefore, we did numerical experiments in different dynamical models with different initial conditions—on one hand the couple Venus–Earth was set close to different mean motion resonances (MMR), and on the other hand Venus’ orbital eccentricity (or inclination) was set to values as large as e = 0.36 (i = 40°). The couple Venus–Earth is almost exactly in the 13:8 mean motion resonance. The stronger acting 8:5 MMR inside, and the 5:3 MMR outside the 13:8 resonance are within a small shift in the Earth’s semimajor axis (only 1.5 percent). Especially Mercury is strongly affected by relatively small changes in initial eccentricity and/or inclination of Venus, and even escapes for the innermost planet are possible which may happen quite rapidly.  相似文献

The area of stable motion for fictitious Trojan asteroids around Uranus’ equilateral equilibrium points is investigated with respect to the inclination of the asteroid’s orbit to determine the size of the regions and their shape. For this task we used the results of extensive numerical integrations of orbits for a grid of initial conditions around the points L 4 and L 5, and analyzed the stability of the individual orbits. Our basic dynamical model was the Outer Solar System (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune). We integrated the equations of motion of fictitious Trojans in the vicinity of the stable equilibrium points for selected orbits up to the age of the Solar system of 5 × 109 years. One experiment has been undertaken for cuts through the Lagrange points for fixed values of the inclinations, while the semimajor axes were varied. The extension of the stable region with respect to the initial semimajor axis lies between 19.05 ≤ a ≤ 19.3 AU but depends on the initial inclination. In another run the inclination of the asteroids’ orbit was varied in the range 0° < i < 60° and the semimajor axes were fixed. It turned out that only four ‘windows’ of stable orbits survive: these are the orbits for the initial inclinations 0° < i < 7°, 9° < i < 13°, 31° < i < 36° and 38° < i < 50°. We postulate the existence of at least some Trojans around the Uranus Lagrange points for the stability window at small and also high inclinations.  相似文献

Data on three recently discovered satellites of Uranus are used to determine basic evolutional parameters of their orbits: the extreme eccentricities and inclinations, as well as the circulation periods of the pericenter arguments and of the longitudes of the ascending nodes. The evolution is mainly investigated by analytically solving Hill’s double-averaged problem for the Uranus-Sun-satellite system, in which Uranus’s orbital eccentricity e U and inclination i U to the ecliptic are assumed to be zero. For the real model of Uranus’s evolving orbit with e U≠0 and i U≠0, we refine the evolutional parameters of the satellite orbits by numerically integrating the averaged system. Having analyzed the configuration and dynamics of the orbits of Uranus’s five outer satellites, we have revealed the possibility of their mutual crossings and obtained approximate temporal estimates.  相似文献

In this work, we have simulated orbits of a particle moving in gravitational field of the Sun-Jupiter system. The effect of solar radiation pressure, including Poynting Robertson drag, on the evolution of particle orbits in phase space have been studied for different values of the parameter β 1 (the ratio of radiation to gravitational force) and initial conditions. Characteristics of various computed trajectories have been studied using wavelet transform (WT), Fourier transform (FT) and Poincare surface of section method. We use wavelet analysis to identify transitions of a trajectory in time-frequency plane and further apply it to classify it as regular or chaotic in phase space. Unlike the Fourier transform method (FT), we observe that the wavelet transform (WT) also provides a basis to identify ‘sticky’ trajectories in the present dynamical system.  相似文献

The correlation dimension D 2 is used to develop a method of classification for phase space orbits. D 2 depends only on the mutual distances of the orbits points, therefore the time development of the orbit is reflected in the time development of the correlation dimension approximants. It is shown, that this technique allows to investigate the dynamical properties of a phase space orbit, a classification of chaotic and regular orbits and a detection of sticky orbits.  相似文献

Nonlinear dynamical analysis and the control problem for a displaced orbit above a planet are discussed. It is indicated that there are two equilibria for the system, one hyperbolic (saddle) and one elliptic (center), except for the degenerate h z max, a saddle-node bifurcation point. Motions near the equilibria for the nonresonance case are investigated by means of the Birkhoff normal form and dynamical system techniques. The Kolmogorov–Arnold–Moser (KAM) torus filled with quasiperiodic trajectories is measured in the τ 1 and τ 2 directions, and a rough algorithm for calculating τ 1 and τ 2 is proposed. A general iterative algorithm to generate periodic Lyapunov orbits is also presented. Transitions in the neck region are demonstrated, respectively, in the nonresonance, resonance, and degradation cases. One of the important contributions of the paper is to derive necessary and sufficiency conditions for stability of the motion near the equilibria. Another contribution is to demonstrate numerically that the critical KAM torus of nontransition is filled with the (1,1)-homoclinic orbits of the Lyapunov orbit.  相似文献

The strongly perturbed environment of a small body, such as an asteroid, can complicate the prediction of orbits used for close proximity operations. Inaccurate predictions may make the spacecraft collide with the asteroid or escape to the deep space. The main forces acting in the dynamics come from the solar radiation pressure and from the body’s weak gravity field. This paper investigates the feasibility of using bi-impulsive maneuvers to avoid the aforementioned non-desired phenomena (collisions and escapes) by connecting orbits around the triple system asteroid 2001SN263, which is the target of a proposed Brazilian space mission. In terms of a mathematical formulation, a recently presented rotating dipole model is considered with oblateness in both primaries. In addition, a “two-point boundary value problem” is solved to find a proper transfer trajectory. The results presented here give support to identifying the best strategy to find orbits for close proximity operations, in terms of long orbital lifetimes and low delta-\(V\) consumptions. Numerical results have also demonstrated the significant influence of the spacecraft orbital elements (semi-major axis and eccentricity), angular position of the Sun and spacecraft area-to-mass ratio, in the performance of the bi-impulsive maneuver.  相似文献

The speckle interferometric binary system Gl 150.2 (HIP17491) is analyzed using atmosphere modeling and dynamical analysis simultaneously. A synthetic spectral energy distribution (SED) for each of the two components of the system is built using Kurucz blanketed models. These SEDs are combined together to form the total flux, which is compared with the observed one in an iterative method to get the best fit. The parameters of the individual components which lead to the best fit are: T eff A = 5350 ± 50 K, T eff B = 4400 ± 50 K, log g A = 4.40 ± 0.05, log g B = 4.68 ± 0.05, R A = 0.95 ± 0.06R , R B = 0.58 ± 0.06R , and π = 38.63 ± 0.79 mas, as given by the modified Hipparcos measurement. A modified orbit of the system is introduced and compared with earlier orbits. Hence, the masses of the two components are derived from the coincidence between the atmosphere modeling and dynamical analysis. Based on the estimated physical and geometrical parameters of the system, which are confirmed by synthetic photometry, the spectral types and luminosity classes of the two components are found to be G9.5V and K7V for the primary and secondary stars respectively, with an age of about 8 Gyr. Finally, the positions of both components on the H-R diagram are plotted, and the formation and evolution of the system are discussed.  相似文献

Four 3 : 1 resonant families of periodic orbits of the planar elliptic restricted three-body problem, in the Sun-Jupiter-asteroid system, have been computed. These families bifurcate from known families of the circular problem, which are also presented. Two of them, I c , II c bifurcate from the unstable region of the family of periodic orbits of the first kind (circular orbits of the asteroid) and are unstable and the other two, I e , II e , from the stable resonant 3 : 1 family of periodic orbits of the second kind (elliptic orbits of the asteroid). One of them is stable and the other is unstable. All the families of periodic orbits of the circular and the elliptic problem are compared with the corresponding fixed points of the averaged model used by several authors. The coincidence is good for the fixed points of the circular averaged model and the two families of the fixed points of the elliptic model corresponding to the families I c , II c , but is poor for the families I e , II e . A simple correction term to the averaged Hamiltonian of the elliptic model is proposed in this latter case, which makes the coincidence good. This, in fact, is equivalent to the construction of a new dynamical system, very close to the original one, which is simple and whose phase space has all the basic features of the elliptic restricted three-body problem.  相似文献

The present paper addresses the existence of J 2 invariant relative orbits with arbitrary relative magnitude over the infinite time using the Routh reduction and Poincaré techniques in the J 2 Hamiltonian problem. The current research also proposes a novel numerical searching approach for J 2 invariant relative orbits from the dynamical system point of view. A new type of Poincaré mapping is defined from different central manifolds of the pseudo-circular orbits (parameterized by the Jacobi energy E, the polar component of momentum H z and the measure of distance Δr between the fixed point and its central manifolds) to the nodal periods T d and the drifts of longitude of the ascending node during one period (ΔΩ), which differs from Koon et al.’s (AIAA 2001) definition on central manifolds parameterized by the same fixed point. The Poincaré mapping is surjective because it compresses the three-dimensional variables into two-dimensional images, and the mapping degenerates into a bijective mapping in consideration of the fixed points. An iteration algorithm to the degenerated bijective mapping is proposed from the continuation procedure to perform the ergodic representation of E- and H z -contour maps on the space of T d –ΔΩ. For the surjective mapping with Δr ≠ 0, different pseudo-circular or elliptical orbits may share the same images. Hence, the inverse surjective mapping may achieve non-unique variables from a single image, which makes the generation of J 2 invariant relative orbits possible. The pseudo-circular or elliptical orbits generated from the surjective mapping will be defined in different meridian planes. Hence, the critical contribution of the present paper is the assignment of J 2 invariant relative orbits to different invariant parameters E and H z depending on the E- and H z -contour map, which will hold J 2 invariant relative orbits for extended durations. To investigate the high-order nonlinearity neglected by previous studies, a formation configuration with a large magnitude of 500 km is successfully generated from the theory developed in the present work, which is beyond the scope of the linear conditions of J 2 invariant relative orbits. Therefore, the existence of J 2 invariant relative orbit with an arbitrary relative magnitude over the infinite time is achieved from the dynamical system point of view.  相似文献

In this paper we explore the dynamical stability of the Mars Trojan region applying mainly Laskar's Frequency Map Analysis. This method yields the chaotic diffusion rate of orbits and allows to determine the most stable regions. It also gives the frequencies which are responsible for the instability of orbits. The most stable regions are found for inclinations between about 15° and 30°. For inclinations smaller than 15°, we confirm, by applying a synthetic secular theory, that the secular resonances ν3, ν4, ν13, ν14 rapidly excite asteroid orbits within a few Myrs, or even faster. The asteroids are removed from the Trojan region after a close encounter with Mars. For large inclinations, the secular resonance ν5 clears a small region around 30° while the Kozai resonance rapidly removes bodies for inclinations larger than 35°. The dynamical lifetimes of the three L5 Trojans, (5261) Eureka, 1998 VF31, 2001 DH47, and the only L4 Trojan 1999 UJ7 are determined by numerically integrating clouds of corresponding clones over the age of the Solar System. All four Trojans reside in the most stable region with smallest diffusion coefficients. Their dynamical half-lifetime is of the order of the age of the Solar System. The Yarkovsky force has little effect on the known Trojans but for bodies smaller than about 1-5 m the drag is strong enough to destabilize Trojans on a timescale shorter than 4.5 Gyr.  相似文献

Abstract— A large body of evidence, including the presence of a dynamical family associated with 4 Vesta, suggests that this asteroid might be the ultimate source of both the V-type near-Earth asteroids (NEAs) and howardite, eucrite and diogenite (HED) meteorites. Dynamical routes from Vesta to the inner regions of the solar system are provided by both the 3:1 mean-motion resonance with Jupiter and the V6, secular resonance. For this reason, numerical integrations of the orbits of fictitious Vesta fragments injected in both of these resonances have been performed. At the same time, the orbital evolution of the known V-type NEAs has been investigated. The results indicate that the dynamical half lifetimes of Vesta fragments injected in both the 3:1 and the V6, resonances are rather short ('2 Ma). The present location of the seven known V-type NEAs is better explained by orbital evolutions starting from the v6 secular resonance. The most important result of the present investigation, however, is that we now face what we call the “Vesta paradox.” Roughly speaking, the paradox consists of the fact that the present V-type NEAs appear to be too dynamically young to have originated in the event that produced the family, but they are too big to be plausible second-generation fragments from the family members. The cosmic-ray exposure (CRE) age distribution of HED meteorites also raises a puzzle, since we would expect an overabundance of meteorites with short CRE ages. We propose different scenarios to explain these paradoxes.  相似文献

We show that the procedure employed in the circular restricted problem, of tracing families of three-dimensional periodic orbits from vertical self-resonant orbits belonging to plane families, can also be applied in the elliptic problem. A method of determining series of vertical bifurcation orbits in the planar elliptic restricted problem is described, and one such series consisting of vertical-critical orbits (a v=+1) is given for the entire range (0,1/2) of the mass parameter . The initial segments of the families of three-dimensional orbits which bifurcate from two of the orbits belonging to this series are also given.  相似文献

With the increase in complexities of interplanetary missions, the main focus has shifted to reducing the total delta-V for the entire mission and hence increasing the payload capacity of the spacecraft. This paper develops a trajectory to Mars using the Lagrangian points of the Sun-Earth system and the Sun-Mars system. The whole trajectory can be broadly divided into three stages: (1) Trajectory from a near-Earth circular parking orbit to a halo orbit around Sun-Earth Lagrangian point L2. (2) Trajectory from Sun-Earth L2 halo orbit to Sun-Mars L1 halo orbit. (3) Sun-Mars L1 halo orbit to a circular orbit around Mars. The stable and unstable manifolds of the halo orbits are used for halo orbit insertion. The intermediate transfer arcs are designed using two-body Lambert’s problem. The total delta-V for the whole trajectory is computed and found to be lesser than that for the conventional trajectories. For a 480 km Earth parking orbit, the total delta-V is found to be 4.6203 km/s. Another advantage in the present approach is that delta-V does not depend upon the synodic period of Earth with respect to Mars.  相似文献

Observational results are presented for Jupiter and its Galilean moons from the Normal Astrograph at Pulkovo Observatory in 2013–2015. The following data are obtained: 154 positions of the Galilean satellites and 47 calculated positions of Jupiter in the system of the UCAC4 (ICRS, J2000.0) catalogue; the differential coordinates of the satellites relative to one another are determined. The mean errors of the satellites’ normal places in right ascension and declination over the entire observational period are, respectively: εα = 0.0065″ and εδ = 0.0068″, and their standard deviations are σα = 0.0804″ and σδ = 0.0845″. The equatorial coordinates are compared with planetary and satellite motion theories. The average (O–C) residuals in the two coordinates relative to the motion theories are 0.05″ or less. The best agreement with the observations is achieved by a combination of the EPM2011m and V. Lainey-V.2.0|V1.1 motion theories; the average (O–C) residuals are 0.03″ or less. The (O–C) residuals for the features of the positions of Io and Ganymede are comparable with measurement errors. Jupiter’s positions calculated from the observations of the satellites and their theoretical jovicentric coordinates are in good agreement with the motion theories. The (О–С) residuals for Jupiter’s coordinates are, on average, 0.027″ and–0.025″ in the two coordinates.  相似文献

The restricted (equilateral) four-body problem consists of three bodies of masses m 1, m 2 and m 3 (called primaries) lying in a Lagrangian configuration of the three-body problem i.e., they remain fixed at the apices of an equilateral triangle in a rotating coordinate system. A massless fourth body moves under the Newtonian gravitation law due to the three primaries; as in the restricted three-body problem (R3BP), the fourth mass does not affect the motion of the three primaries. In this paper we explore symmetric periodic orbits of the restricted four-body problem (R4BP) for the case of two equal masses where they satisfy approximately the Routh’s critical value. We will classify them in nine families of periodic orbits. We offer an exhaustive study of each family and the stability of each of them.  相似文献
