In this study, the effect of diesel fuel contamination on the electrical properties of unsaturated soils was estimated in the low frequency ranges. For the soils having 5% water content, the electrical resistivity increased with the diesel fuel contents while the permittivity decreased at higher diesel contents. However, at 15% water content, the variation of electrical properties was not significant possibly because most of the electric currents should occur through the pore water. The linear relationship between the electrical resistivity and the diesel fuel contents in soil was developed at 5% water content, which implied that the electrical resistivity could be used to quantify the extent of diesel fuel contamination in soil. The results indicated that the electrical properties including the resistivity and the permittivity could give the reliable estimation on the diesel contamination with the low water content in soil and the frequency applied below 1 MHz.  相似文献

利用4电极电阻率测量装置,在室内对各种灰土样的电阻率进行测试对比研究,揭示了不同因素如灰土比、含水率、饱和度、土的结构和土粒粒径等对灰土样电阻率的影响。在不同含水率(15 %、20 %、25 %和30 %)条件下,素土及其与不同石灰掺量(1:10、1:15和1:30)的混合,通过轻型击实试验后,测量其横向及竖向断面上的电阻率,研究电阻率与不同石灰配比击实土样的物理力学性质之间的关系。实验结果表明,当含水率在15 %~20 %之间时,较小的含水率增量引起混合土样电阻率的大幅度下降;当含水率约达到20 %后,其电阻率随含水率的继续增加而减小的幅度很小;在15 %含水率时,掺灰土电阻率比素土样高;在30 %含水率时,其电阻率低于素土样,而且掺量越大,电阻率越低;由于击实导致土体颗粒的结构重新排列,电阻率在横向上大于竖向;电阻率随着无侧限抗压强度的增加而增加,在电阻率大于50 ?•m时,电阻率随无侧限抗压强度的增加而减小;饱和度、干密度与电阻率呈负指数变化规律,孔隙率、孔隙比与电阻率呈指数变化规律;含水率对于电阻率的影响较为敏感。  相似文献

In horizontally layered soils of different electrical properties, electrical potential distribution becomes complex and the obtained resistivity data may be limited in reflecting the actual soil profile. Thus the objective of this study was to identify the factors that affect resistivity measurement on the cone penetrometer and further investigate the sensitivity of measured resistivity to different types and concentrations of contaminants at the subsurface level. First, a theoretical resistivity equation was derived to provide a means of computing the geometric factor. The effective volume of measurement on the cone penetrometer was investigated and laboratory soil box tests verified the dominance of partially high resistivity regions within the effective volume of measurement over the apparent resistivity. Such effect was found to lead to possible discrepancies between the recorded resistivity data and the actual depth of measurement. Measurements on contaminated soil layers indicated that resistivity cones are efffective in delineating inorganic contaminants in soils of high water contents, and detecting NAPLs floating above the groundwater table provided that soils adjacent to the plume are not dry of water. 为了探究土体干缩开裂问题,文章采用ERT技术,对黏性土开展了一维干缩开裂动态监测试验。配制初始状态饱和 的泥浆试样,在自然条件下干燥,采用ERT技术获得试样干燥过程中的电阻值变化。结合试样的电阻值图像和裂隙图像, 对土体干缩开裂规律进行了分析。研究结果表明:在干燥蒸发初期,土体电阻值随时间增加缓慢减小,其原因在于土体干 燥收缩导致土颗粒间接触面积增大,颗粒水化膜变薄,进而使得土颗粒表面双电层导电性增强。随着干燥继续进行,气体 进入土体内部,土体由初始饱和状态转变为非饱和状态,电阻值转为缓慢增加。当土体产生裂隙时,裂隙周围土体电阻值 急剧增大,而未发育裂隙的土体电阻依然保持缓慢增加的趋势。通过对比试样电阻值变化曲线和裂隙图像,发现两者所呈 现的裂隙发育位置和状态存在良好的一致性。因此,ERT技术能对干燥过程中土体裂隙发育进行有效的动态监测,准确掌 握裂隙发育的时空动态信息,并且能提前预测裂隙发育的可能位置,为研究极端干旱气候作用下土体的工程性质响应提供 了理想手段。  相似文献

Moisture content is considered to play an important role in the degradation of municipal solid waste (MSW). The present study was carried out to test the use of electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) to estimate the daily variations in the volumetric moisture content (VMC) during waste degradation. The degradation of MSW in a laboratory-scale reactor was monitored daily by ERT and time domain reflectometry (TDR) over a period of 55 days after the waste was landfilled. The bulk electrical resistivity, normalised to a standard temperature of 25 °C, was compared to the VMC obtained by TDR. The relationship between the bulk electrical resistivity and the VMC was not obvious in the upper unit, because there was a bias in the positions of the ERT and TDR measurements due to the settling of the waste. However, the bulk electrical resistivity depended on the VMC in the lower unit of the reactor. According to a power equation fitted in the lower unit, the 2-D distributions of the VMC are presented. Variations in the VMC reflected the processes of waste degradation and leachate transportation. Furthermore, the volume of water stored in the lower unit of the reactor was calculated and found to be consistent with that estimated from the gravimetric moisture content during waste sampling. The data showed that ERT could be used to estimate the variations in moisture content in the initial period following the landfilling of waste.  相似文献

For construction in rock a thorough pre-investigation is important in order to avoid unforeseen conditions which may delay the work. It is crucial to remember the results from this investigation in the further work, and use the experience from the construction to update the geological prognosis and reduce the uncertainties. Different geophysical methods have proved valuable tools in such investigations. In this work the electrical imaging is evaluated with regards to the method's applicability. The evaluation is done qualitatively by comparing the electrical imaging with tunnel documentation from a tunnel in Southern Sweden. By evaluating the result continuously when making the tunnel a more detailed geological prognosis can be compiled and used in the continued work with the tunnel. The parameters used for the comparison are lithology, Q, RQD, weathering and water leakage. The result was that virtually every change in electrical resistivity image coincides with a change in rock conditions. The general trend was that high resistivity corresponded with good quality gneiss whereas low resistivity corresponds to poor quality rock e.g., high weathering, low RQD, low Q and/or several lithological contacts. The intermediate resistivity is often amphibolites or rock with water bearing fractures. The results were supported by in-situ resistivity measurements inside the tunnel and resistivity logging in a core drilling. Geoelectrical imaging proved to give valuable information for a detailed geological model, which could be compiled for a section where the tunnel had not yet been drilled as a help for planning of the continued tunnel work. As is the case other geophysical methods it is clear that for the interpretation of data a priori information about the geological setting is necessary.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to present a strategy to interpret the hydraulic functioning of a small field area by using measurements of the soil electrical resistivity. The spatial soil electrical resistivity was recorded at a high resolution on a 2 ha area by the MultiContinous Electrical Profiling (MuCEP) device at two dates. These apparent electrical resistivity measurements were firstly interpreted in terms of local electrical resistivity by 1D inverse modelling to estimate the real resistivity of the soil. These interpreted electrical resistivity data were then transformed into soil water content values and soil water potential values by the use of independent punctual data of water content and the use of the water retention curve determined by laboratory data. Our analysis has permitted us to describe the spatial variability and temporal evolution of the hydraulic functioning at high resolution from electrical resistivity data. The interpretation of the water content and matric potential maps demonstrated that some soil hydraulic processes, such as lateral overland flow, can occur in the studied zone. They would never have been detected by local measurements of soil characteristics or by the use of the soil map.  相似文献

In this paper, a methodology that can be employed to simulate radionuclide migration through unsaturated soils, under laboratory conditions, has been developed and reported. This was achieved with the help of a specially designed half-cell setup to study diffusion characteristics of inactive forms of Cs+, Sr+2 and Co+2 in two different types of soils, corresponding to their different compaction states. It has been noted that the apparent diffusion coefficient strongly depends on the volumetric water content of the soil. However, increase of the apparent diffusion coefficient for higher volumetric water contents is found to be much less as compared to the lower volumetric water contents.  相似文献

在高密度电法勘探中,不同性质的溶洞其反演电阻率特征有差异,溶洞为空洞时反演电阻率表现为高阻,充满水时表现则为低阻,而充水溶洞的电阻率反演特征很难判断。文章通过构建不同充水程度的溶洞模型进行正演模拟,利用最小二乘法对模型的地电断面进行反演,对比不同反演成像模型的地电响应特征。结果表明,充水溶洞的电阻率随溶洞充水量的增加而减小,低阻的范围随着水量的增加而不断扩大,其可分辨性强。野外探查资料进一步验证了模拟结果,所获得的认识对地下溶洞的电法探测分析具有一定的指导意义。   相似文献

为了揭示污水对水泥土的影响规律,并尝试采用电阻率法作为描述强度和污染特征的手段,把粉质黏土和两种水泥(普通硅酸盐水泥、矿渣硅酸盐水泥)制作的水泥土试块分别浸泡在3种液体(自来水、生活污水、造纸厂污水)中模拟环境侵蚀。首先对比分析了污水对土体液塑限的影响,其次研究了龄期、水泥类型、污水类型等对水泥土抗压强度和电阻率的影响,考察了电阻率和抗压强度的关系。结果表明:污染后土样的液限、塑限均增大,塑性指数减小;水泥土抗压强度和电阻率均随龄期增加而增长;污水均降低了水泥土的抗压强度和电阻率,但是矿渣硅酸盐水泥土的抗压强度和电阻率均高于普通硅酸盐水泥土,说明在污水环境中,矿渣水泥对水泥土有一定的抗劣化能力;在不同的龄期、水泥类型、污水类型下,水泥土电阻率均与抗压强度呈现出一致的变化规律,二者线性相关。  相似文献

通过水泥土电阻率试验研究分析,可知水泥土电阻率与无侧限抗压强度、水泥掺入比、龄期成正相关,即随着无侧限抗压强度、水泥掺入比、龄期的增大而增大;水泥土电阻率与含水量负相关,即随着含水量增大而降低;影响水泥土电阻率的主要因素依次为含盐量、水泥掺入比、天然含水量、粉煤灰含量、石灰含量。进行了水泥土电阻率和喷粉搅拌桩桩身抗压强度、芯样力学性状和标贯击数的对比研究以及野外电测井、电测深剖面勘探,探索了电阻率测试技术在水泥土深层搅拌法工程中的应用。  相似文献

This study emphasizes to testify the potential of geochemical proxies of lacustrine sediments as indicative of past climatic changes since the last deglaciation over the catchment of a small closed lake in South China. Based on the study on the core K02 from Dahu Swamp, a small lake in the eastern Nanling Mountains, we inferred that chemical features of clastic materials, which were mainly derived from the granite weathering crust and transported by surface runoff into this lake, possibly had played an important role in affecting chemical characteristics of the sediments. Wetter climatic conditions would lead to stronger chemical weathering intensity (CWI), resulting in more soluble and mobile elements being easily leached downward in granite weathering crusts and the insoluble ones being enriched in the top materials of the weathering crusts. In contrast, dry conditions would exert a converse influence. Although this study presents a different climatic implication of geochemistry from lacustrine sediments in South China from that in north-central China, the results demonstrate that chemical elements of sediments in the small lake in South China can be utilized to reflect the CWI, which was closely in association with variations in temperature and precipitation in the lake catchment.  相似文献

Current assessments of slope stability rely on point sensors, the results of which are often difficult to interpret, have relatively high costs and do not provide large-area coverage. A new system is under development, based on integrated geophysical–geotechnical sensors to monitor groundwater conditions via electrical resistivity tomography. So that this system can provide end users with reliable information, it is essential that the relationships between resistivity, shear strength, suction and water content are fully resolved, particularly where soils undergo significant cycles of drying and wetting, with associated soil fabric changes. This paper presents a study to establish these relationships for a remoulded clay taken from a test site in Northumberland, UK. A rigorous testing programme has been undertaken, integrating the results of multi-scalar laboratory and field experiments, comparing two-point and four-point resistivity testing methods. Shear strength and water content were investigated using standard methods, whilst a soil water retention curve was derived using a WP4 dewpoint potentiometer. To simulate seasonal effects, drying and wetting cycles were imposed on prepared soil specimens. Results indicated an inverse power relationship between resistivity and water content with limited hysteresis between drying and wetting cycles. Soil resistivity at lower water contents was, however, observed to increase with ongoing seasonal cycling. Linear hysteretic relationships were established between undrained shear strength and water content, principally affected by two mechanisms: soil fabric deterioration and soil suction loss between drying and wetting events. These trends were supported by images obtained from scanning electron microscopy.  相似文献

通过室内电阻率试验和土工试验,对长江下游苏州-南通长江公路大桥地基中深厚软土电阻率特征及其与物理力学参数的相关关系问题进行了研究。发现,(1)在同一钻孔(即CZK30)中,从粉质黏土→粉砂→细砂→中粗砂,土样的电阻率逐渐增大。电阻率随含水率、孔隙比、饱和度的增加而减小,而随垂直渗透系数、水平渗透系数、压缩模量、标贯等的增加而增大。(2)CZK30孔中粉质黏土电阻率随含水率、孔隙比、饱和度、压缩系数、液限系数增加而减小,而随压缩模量、黏聚力等的增加而增大。(3)通过拟合,提供了软土电阻率与物理力学参数相关关系的量化表达式,拟合曲线与试验数据点的相关程度较高,相关系数绝大部分在0.88以上。结果表明,土电阻率与其它物理力学参数间存在密切的联系。  相似文献

膨胀土是一种高塑性、强亲水的黏性土。由于黏土矿物含量较高,膨胀土颗粒的交换阳离子含量也较高,总比表面积较大,在电导率测试指标上反映是膨胀土的导电性随膨胀性的增大而增强。选取强、中、弱3种不同膨胀等级的代表性试样,采用无电极电阻率测定仪和便携式电导率探头,测试了膨胀土泥浆和孔隙水溶液电导率测试,采用原子吸收光谱仪检测了膨胀土孔隙水溶液中的离子种类、含量等。研究表明,膨胀土孔隙水溶液的导电性与膨胀土泥浆的导电性均随膨胀性增大而增大,膨胀土的电导率和自由膨胀率具有良好的线性关系,工程中可以利用这一原理进行膨胀土的快速判别。  相似文献

针对青藏铁路北麓河粉质粘土,利用冻融循环全过程电阻率试验设备获取封闭系统下冻融过程电阻率、土体温度场、冻胀融沉变形量全过程曲线,探讨了饱和粉质黏土正冻正融过程电阻率及变形特性。试验结果表明:冻融循环过程中电阻率与冻融变形的变化是实时的、完全同步的,利用电阻率特性研究冻融过程土体结构变化是可行的;每次冻融冻土电阻率随着冻融次数增加呈指数关系减小,融土电阻率随冻融次数增加呈指数关系增加;每次冻胀量与融沉量随冻融次数的增加而减小,平均干密度随冻融次数增加而增加,并且经过5次冻融循环后冻胀融沉量和干密度均趋于稳定。  相似文献

不同温度下冻土单轴抗压强度与电阻率关系研究   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
为了研究青藏铁路路基在载荷下的力学行为,探索新型手段快速准确地估计冻土的单轴抗压强度参数,采用北麓河粉质黏土在室内进行了不同温度的冻土单轴压缩试验,并全过程监测土样电阻率的变化,得到了冻土的应力-应变-电阻率全过程曲线。试验结果表明,在干密度 1.71 g/cm3且含水率 17.83 %下,冻土的单轴抗压强度随温度降低而线性增加;初始电阻率 随温度降低逐渐增大,从-20℃对温度的敏感性开始显著增强;冻土单轴抗压强度与初始电阻率之间满足半对数线性关系,相关性很好,因此测定初始电阻率可准确估算冻土的 。从应力-应变-电阻率全过程曲线来看,冻土在单轴载荷作用下经历的压密、弹性变形、塑性屈服、破裂后各阶段对应电阻率变化趋势是快速减小至最小、稳定增加、剧烈增加,这种关联的变化关系也说明用电阻率法来研究冻土强度及载荷下的变形问题是可行的。  相似文献

Coastal aquifers can become polluted due to natural and human activities, such as intrusion of saline water, discharge of effluents in industrial areas and chemical weathering of natural geological deposits. The present study is aimed mainly at understanding the geophysical and chemical characteristics of groundwater near Tuticorin, Tamilnadu, India by studying the electrical resistivity distribution of the subsurface groundwater by applying the Schlumberger vertical electrical sounding (VES) technique followed by chemical analysis of water samples. A total of 20 VES soundings were carried out to understand the resistivity distribution of the area and 21 water samples were collected to analyze the chemical quality. The interpretation and analysis of the results have identified different hydrogeologic behaviors, a highly saline coastal aquifer and freshwater locations. The results obtained from geophysical and geochemical sampling are in good agreement with each other. The approach shows the efficacy of the combination of geophysical and geochemical methods to map groundwater contamination zones in the study area.  相似文献
