The coefficients of correlation between spectroscopic data published by Yamashita (1967) and others for carbon stars and the statistical population indices calculated for these stars at the Toru Observatory are calculated (Table II). The intensity estimates of Cai 4227 Å, Nai D lines, the C13/C12 ratio, then=n(Li/Ca) index, as well as CN and probably C2 bands are higher in population I carbon stars. The CH(G) band and probably hydrogen (H, H, H) lines as well as Baii 4554 and 4934 Å lines are stronger in population II carbon stars. The photoelectric colour indices, corrected for interstellar reddening do not show significant population effects. They can be used as spectral type equivalents. For a population criterion the CH/CN intensity ratio is proposed.  相似文献

This work contains a transformation of Hill-Brown differential equations for the coordinates of the satellite to a type which can be integrated in a literal form using an analytical programming language. The differential equation for the parallax of the satellite is also established. Its use facilitates the computation of Hill's periodic intermediary orbit of the satellite and provides a good check for the expansion of the coordinates and frequencies. The knowledge of the expansion of the parallax facilitates the formation of differential equations for terms with a given characteristic. These differential equations are put into a form which favors the solution by means of iteration on the computer. As in the classical theory we obtain the expansions of the coordinates and of the parallax in the form of trigonometric series in four arguments and in powers of the constants of integration. We expand the differential operators into series in squares of the constants of integration. Only the terms of order zero in these expansions are employed in the integration of the differential equations. The remaining terms are responsible for producing the cross-effects between the perturbations of different order. By applying the averaging operator to the right sides of the differential equations we deduce the expansion of the frequencies in powers of squares of the constants of integration.Basic Notations f the gravitational constant - E the mass of the planet - M the mass of the satellite - t dynamical time - x, y, z planetocentric coordinates of the satellite - u x+y–1 - s x–y–1 - the planetocentric distance of the satellite - w 1/ - 0 the variational part of - w 0 the variational part ofw, - n the mean daily sidereal motion of the satellite - a the mean semi-major axis of the satellite defined by means of the Kepler relation:a 3 n 2=f(E+M) - a the mean semi-major axis defined as the constant factor attached to the variational solution - e the constant of the eccentricity of the satellite - the sine of one half the orbital inclination of the satellite relative to the orbit of the sun - c(n–n) the anomalistic frequency of the satellite - c 0 the part ofc independent frome,e, and - g(n–n) the draconitic frequency of the satellite, - g 0 the part ofg independent frome,e, and - exp (n–n)t–1 - D d/d - e the eccentricity of the solar planetocentric orbit - a the semi-major axis of the solar orbit - n the mean daily motion of the sun in its orbit around the planet - m n/(n–n) - a/a-the parallactic factor - the disturbing function  相似文献

A limiting case of the problem of three bodies (m 0,m 1,m 2) is considered. The distance between the bodiesm 0 andm 1 is assumed to be much less than that between their barycenter and the bodym 2 so that one may use Hill's approximation for the potential of interaction between the bodiesm 1 andm 2. In the absence of resonant relations the potential, double-averaged by the mean longitudes ofm 1 andm 2, describes the secular evolution of the orbits in the first approximation of the perturbation theory. As Harrington has shown, this problem is integrable. In the present paper a qualitative investigation of the evolution of the orbits and comparison with the analogous case in the restricted problem are carried out.The set of initial data is found, for which a collision between the bodiesm 0 andm 1 takes place. The region of the parameters of the problem is determined, for which plane retrograde motion is unstable. In a special example the results of approximate analysis are compared with those of numerical integration of the exact equations of the three body problem.

A model of interplanetary and coronal magnetic fields   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
A model of the large-scale magnetic field structure above the photosphere uses a Green's function solution to Maxwell's equations. Sources for the magnetic field are related to the observed photospheric field and to the field computed at a source surface about 0.6 R above the photosphere. The large-scale interplanetary magnetic field sector pattern is related to the field pattern at this source surface. The model generates magnetic field patterns on the source surface that compare well with interplanetary observations. Comparisons are shown with observations of the interplanetary magnetic field obtained by the IMP-3 satellite.  相似文献

The method of estimation of the limits, containing the equator inclination of a celestial body, had been developed. In this method it is necessary to know the orbital elements and the mass of a celestial body. Another condition is that the axial rotation of a body should be in the resonance with its orbital motion. It has been found that the equator inclinations should have the values between 1 .7 and 2 .6 for Mercury and between 1 .0 and 1 .8 for the Moon. It also has been found that largest harmonics in Mercury's physical libration are the harmonics sin( – 3g), cos( – 3g), sin g and sin 2.  相似文献

Two new equations of state obtained for matter constituting isothermal neutron star core by using isentropic nature of matter for the equalities =2 and =3 (where 's are usual adiabatic exponents) have been utilised to discuss the internal temperature of core. The temperature of matter has been obtained asT=T a(P+E)/. Variation ofT/T a(t) with energy density has been discussed for these new equations of state and some standard equations of state for nuclear matter.  相似文献

Some peculiarities in the behaviour of a model self-gravitating system described by hydrodynamical equations and isothermal equation of state connected with the presence of thermodynamical fluctuations in real systems were investigated in numerical experiment. The values of density and velocity , , respectively, were computed by numerical code perturbed on each time-step and in each computational cell by random values , for modeling such fluctuations. Perturbed values i = i + i ,v i = i + v i were used to initiate the next step of computations. This procedure is equivalent to an introduction into original hydrodynamical equations of Langevin sources which are random functions. It is shown that these small fluctuations (= v =0,2 =v 2 = 10–8) grow many times in marginally-stable state.  相似文献

The photographic subtraction formula expressing the Doppler signal in terms of line-of-sight velocity is rederived and the conditions governing its validity are carefully stated. By appealing to the observed profiles of individual bright and dark mottles it is shown that, in the case of H observations of the quiet chromosphere, two essential conditions are violated. An analysis based on Beckers' (1964) theoretical mottle profiles shows that, assuming the correctness of his model, the photographic subtraction method correctly maps regions of zero velocity and, provided the original photographs are taken sufficiently far from the centre of H, gives the correct signs of any line-of-sight velocities present. However, at H ± 0.25 Å the method gives inconsistent signs. Moreover, at all wavelengths in the line the magnitude of the Doppler signal depends not only on velocity but also on the source function S, optical thickness t 0, and line broadening parameter 0. Accordingly, there is no one-to-one correspondence between velocity and the Doppler signal since S, in particular, shows considerable variation from place to place over the quiet chromosphere. An alternative procedure which obviates these difficulties is suggested. It is also based on Beckers' model and yields a calibrated measure of the velocity in terms of 0 (assumed constant) which is independent of spatial variations in S and t 0.  相似文献

An analysis of the effects of Hall current on hydromagnetic free-convective flow through a porous medium bounded by a vertical plate is theoretically investigated when a strong magnetic field is imposed in a direction which is perpendicular to the free stream and makes an angle to the vertical direction. Theoretical electron-temperature-sensitive Mgix emission line ratios are presented forR I =I(443.96 )/I(368.06 ),R 2 =I(439.17 )/I(368.06 ),R 3 =I(443.37 )/I(368.06 ),R 4 =I(441.22 )/I(368.06 ), andR 5 =I(448.28 )/I(368.06 ). A comparison of these with observational data for a solar active region, obtained during a rocket flight by the Solar EUV Rocket Telescope and Spectrograph (SERTS), reveals excellent agreement between theory and observation forR 1 throughR 4, with discrepancies that average only 9%. This provides experimental support for the accuracy of the atomic data adopted in the line ratio calculations, and also resolves discrepancies found previously when the theoretical results were compared with solar data from the S082A instrument on boardSkylab. However in the case ofR 5, the theoretical and observed ratios differ by almost a factor of 2. This may be due to the measured intensity of the 448.28 line being seriously affected by instrumental effects, as it lies very close to the long wavelength edge of the SERTS spectral coverage (235.46–448.76 ).  相似文献

Since the average relation between the angular momentaP and the massesM of galaxies can be represented by a power lawPM , we can define a relative angular momentum =P/M (or a constant timeP/M ). For a random motion picture within protogalaxies, should follow a Maxwellian distribution and consequently the dispersion of log should be 0.210.For the reasonable range of ( to 2), the limited sample of galaxies with known dynamical parameters gives between and 1 times the Maxwellian value. For the plausible special case =2 the reciprocal of the maximum rotational velocityv m is already a measure of and the larger sample ofv m-values not only yields the Maxwellian but, moreover, shows the shape of the distribution.

On the basis of more abundant data a relation logPV/logR for cepheid variables (Fernie, 1965) is constructed. A linear relation between logP V and logR for classical cepheids is found, which perhaps has a break at R=10R . On the logR/logP diagram thes-cepheids (Efremov, 1968) show a distinct sequence. Alls-cepheids present a relative variation of the radii R/R0.075. The existence of non-s-cepheids with R/R0.075 raises a point about the evolutionary place of these stars (see Efremov, 1968). One could suppose that cepheids with logP>1.1 pulsate in the first overtone.  相似文献

Low noise photoelectric measurements of the line profile of the g = 0 Fe line gl 5576.097 combined with determinations of the wavelength shift of its centre calibrated by use of an I 2 absorption tube are reported. Measurements taken at various limb distances (1.0 cos 0.2) and along 4 different diameters of the Sun are used to investigate the behaviour of the line asymmetry (C-shape) and wavelength shift of the line centre as functions of cos and of latitude and to search for possible pole-equator differences. An accuracy of approx. 0.8 mÅ r.m.s. is achieved for the determination of the centre of the solar line relative to the iodine lines and of 0.3 mÅ to 1 mÅ r.m.s. for the relative variations of the C-shape. The analysis shows a significant difference between the limb-effect curves along polar and equatorial diameters for cos 0.4 and changes of the C-shape for 0.9 cos 0.6 with a rather strong indication of a latitude dependence of the C-shape. This latitude dependence may account for the so-called ears observed by Howard et al. (1980) who used the well-known Doppler compensator method which integrates the line asymmetry from the line wings to the core.Mitteilungen aus dem Kiepenheuer-Institut Nr. 207.  相似文献

A largely numerical study was made of families of three-dimensional, periodic, halo orbits near the collinear libration points in the restricted three-body problem. Families extend from each of the libration points to the nearest primary. They appear to exist for all values of the mass ratio , from 0 to 1. More importantly, most of the families contain a range of stable orbits. Only near L1, the libration point between the two primaries, are there no stable orbits for certain values of . In that case the stable range decreases with increasing , until it disappears at =0.0573. Near the other libration points, stable orbits exist for all mass ratios investigated between 0 and 1. In addition, the orbits increase in size with increasing .  相似文献
