地图投影反解变换的一种新方法   总被引:6,自引:1,他引:5  
通常地图投影反解变换有2种方法,即多项式拟合法和投影方程解析法.多项式法利用已知控制点的坐标对应关系,通过最小二乘法拟合求解地图投影反解变换的多项式函数,其优点是反解模型与地图投影无关,算法具有通用性,缺点是反算精度较低.解析法根据地图投影正算公式,在一定条件下通过解方程求得地图投影反解变换解析式,其优点是反解变换精度高,缺点是解法复杂.本文利用计算数学方法,根据地图投影变换的基本数学原理,提出了一种新的地图投影反解变换方法,双向迭代逼近法(BDIRA).具有反解变换精度高、收敛速度快、算法通用和GIS软件编程实现方便等特点.  相似文献

Equivalence (the equal-area property of a map projection) is important to some categories of maps. However, unlike conformal projections, completely general techniques do not exist for creating new, computationally reasonable equal-area projections. The literature describes many specific equal-area projections and a few equal-area projections that are more or less configurable, but flexibility is still sparse. This work describes a new, highly configurable equal-area projection system consisting of arcs of concentric circles, placing it in the pseudoconic class. The system uses a novel technique to hybridize the Bonne pseudoconic projection and the Albers conic projection, subsuming many existing projections as degenerate cases. With the resulting system and the technique used to develop it, map projection designers will have greater choice in tailoring the projection to the need. The system may be particularly suited to maps that dynamically adapt to changing scale and region of interest, such as required for online maps.  相似文献

The adaptive composite map projection technique changes the projection to minimize distortion for the geographic area shown on a map. This article improves the transition between the Lambert azimuthal projection and the transverse equal-area cylindrical projection that are used by adaptive composite projections for portrait-format maps. Originally, a transverse Albers conic projection was suggested for transforming between these two projections, resulting in graticules that are not symmetric relative to the central meridian. We propose the alternative transverse Wagner transformation between the two projections and provide equations and parameters for the transition. The suggested technique results in a graticule that is symmetric relative to the central meridian, and a map transformation that is visually continuous with changing map scale.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Conceptually, the theory and implementation of “map projection” in geographic information system (GIS) technology is difficult to comprehend for most introductory students and novice users. Compounding this difficulty is the concept of a “map projection file” that defines map projection parameters of geo-spatial data. The problem of the “missing projection file” appears ubiquitous for all users, especially in practice where data is widely shared. Another common problem is inadvertent misapplication of the “Define Projection” tool that can result in a GIS dataset with an incorrectly defined map projection file. GIS education should provide more guidance in differentiating the concepts of map projection versus projection files by increasing understanding and minimizing common errors. A novel pedagogical device is introduced in this paper: the seven possible states of GIS data with respect to map projection and definition. The seven possible states are: (1) a projected coordinate system (PCS) that is correctly defined, (2) a PCS that is incorrectly defined, (3) a PCS that is undefined, (4) a geographic coordinate system (GCS) that is correctly defined, (5) a GCS that is incorrectly defined, (6) a GCS that is undefined, and (7) a non-GCS. Recently created automated troubleshooting tools to determine a missing map projection file are discussed.  相似文献

Sometimes map projection designers need to create equal-area projections to best fill the projections’ purposes. However, unlike for conformal projections, few transformations have been described that can be applied to equal-area projections to develop new equal-area projections. Here, I survey area-preserving transformations, giving examples of their applications and proposing an efficient way of deploying an equal-area system for raster-based Web mapping. Together, these transformations provide a toolbox for the map projection designer working in the area-preserving domain.  相似文献

The upward-downward continuation of a harmonic function like the gravitational potential is conventionally based on the direct-inverse Abel-Poisson integral with respect to a sphere of reference. Here we aim at an error estimation of the “planar approximation” of the Abel-Poisson kernel, which is often used due to its convolution form. Such a convolution form is a prerequisite to applying fast Fourier transformation techniques. By means of an oblique azimuthal map projection / projection onto the local tangent plane at an evaluation point of the reference sphere of type “equiareal” we arrive at a rigorous transformation of the Abel-Poisson kernel/Abel-Poisson integral in a convolution form. As soon as we expand the “equiareal” Abel-Poisson kernel/Abel-Poisson integral we gain the “planar approximation”. The differences between the exact Abel-Poisson kernel of type “equiareal” and the “planar approximation” are plotted and tabulated. Six configurations are studied in detail in order to document the error budget, which varies from 0.1% for points at a spherical height H=10km above the terrestrial reference sphere up to 98% for points at a spherical height H = 6.3×106km. The mixed spherical map projections of equiareal, cylindric type are based upon the Lambert projection and the sinusoidal Sanson–Flamsteed projection. These cylindric and pseudo-cylindric map projections of the sphere are generalized to the ellipsoid of revolution (biaxial ellipsoid). They are used in consequence by two lemmas to generate a horizontal and a vertical weighted mean of equiareal cylindric map projections of the ellipsoid of revolution. Its left–right deformation analysis via further results leads to the left–right principal stretches/eigenvalues and left–right eigenvectors/eigenspace, as well as the maximal left–right angular distortion for these new mixed cylindric map projections of ellipsoidal type. The virtual globe is the default visualization for Digital Earth applications, but it can only show one half of the Earth. This article introduces user-adjustable, on-the-fly projection of georeferenced raster images for web mapping and web GIS applications. This technique allows users to center a map on arbitrary locations, while still seeing the entire Earth surface. Modern web mapping libraries can apply map projection transformations to vector data in the browser, but they do not currently support the projection of raster images at interactive frame rates. We use the cross-platform WebGL (Web Graphics Library) graphics pipeline for hardware-accelerated projection of raster data in web browsers. Two algorithmic techniques – inverse per-fragment projection, and combined forward per-triangle and inverse per-fragment projection – for georeferenced raster imagery are documented. The resulting raster maps combine the ease of use and flexibility of interactive virtual globes with the ability to show the entire Earth. The adjustable projection of raster imagery allows users to observe global phenomena that are difficult to visualize on virtual globes or traditional maps with static projections.  相似文献

The qibla problem—determination of the direction to Mecca—has given rise to retro-azimuthal map projections, an interesting, albeit unusual and little known, class of map projections. Principal contributors to this subject were Craig and Hammer, both writing in 1910. A property of retro-azimuthal projections is that the parallels are bent downwards towards the equator. The resulting maps, when extended to the entire world, thus must overlap themselves. An unusual recent discovery from Iran suggests that Muslims might have been prior inventors of a similar projection, by at least several centuries. A later corollary by Schoy leads to a new "cylindrical" azimuthal map projection with parallels bending away from the equator, here illustrated for the first time.  相似文献

通过研究得出,将地球上各种地理事物与现象表示到平面上,需要采取一系列数学变换,才能使地面上的点与平面上的相应点建立起对应关系,从而才有可能反映出它们的位置、距离、方向、面积、形状及数量大小关系。地图之所以能在平面上反映出球面上事物与现象的空间准确位置和相互关系,就是由于它经过了地图投影的转换。通过研究地图投影变换问题,可以为基于离散网格的数据管理和建模应用提供很好的投影变换基础。  相似文献

地图投影是地图学的重要研究内容。任何地图投影都不可避免地存在变形问题。针对地图投影的变形,本文提出球面大圆弧和互补比率均值相结合的地图投影面积变形与形状变形指标。通过算例验证和相关性分析,大圆指标一方面简化了小圆指标(即互补比率均值)的计算过程,并能与小圆指标的结果保持一致;另一方面,大圆指标与微分指标之间也具有较高的一致性(形状变形指标的皮尔森积矩相关系数大于0.988)。由于大圆指标不依赖于微分计算,且计算简捷,因此大圆指标更具通用性。本文进一步采用回归分析对大圆指标进行分析,结果表明,大圆指标与微分指标具有较好的线性关系(线性回归的平均误差小于1.10‰)。为了降低采样点数量和解决采样点不统一问题,本文还提出了基于随机采样的指标计算方法,并对随机方法进行了验证和分析。依据大圆指标与微分指标的一致性和线性关系,可以认为使用大圆指标能够有效地评估地图投影的变形情况。  相似文献

本文探讨了等面积投影仿射变换的理论和方法。包括:仿射变换等面积投影坐标,仿射变换面积元素的一般方法,并对一些常用的等面积投影进行了仿射变换举例。从等面积投影仿射变换中可得到具有很大实用价值的改良等面积投影,其具有很大的概括性和灵活性,在地图设计和计算机屏幕地图设计中有着广阔地应用前景。  相似文献
