1991年3月,我们利用上海25米射电望远镜和欧洲VLBI网联合对几个河外射电源进行了第二历元的327MHz VLBI观测,数据的相关处理先后在上海天文台三台站MK2相关处理机和美国的Caltech/JPL相关处理机进行,以便于比较相关结果,本文给出3C84、3C345和3C380的混合图,与第一历元的观测比较,3C345和3C380的流量密度没有明显的变化,但3C345的结构变化明显,3C84和  相似文献

利用基于自校正和CLEAN算法的现代VLBI混合成图技术,对Pearson等人于1976年观测得到的类星体 3C 286在 18 cm波段上的 VLBI数据重新作了处理.由此得到的图像要大大好于最初的处理结果,也获得了更多的有用信息.用几个Gauss模型去拟合校正后的UV数据,发现中央亮区可以被分解为两个致密结构,这与后来的高分辨率观测相一致.与不同历元的VLBI观测结果相比较,发现这两个致密结构间的距离不但在同一时间随观测频率变化,而且很有可能在同一观测频率上随时间变化.  相似文献

通过主要在短厘米波长的全球VLBI观测,已经现强射电类星体4C39.25在十秒差距尺度结构中的视超光速运动,其运动学图景表明该源是一个很特殊的视超光速源,近几年已提出了若干模型,试图解释这特殊的运动图景,报道不多的百秒差距尺度的VLBI观测,很可能有助于检验提出的模型,本文介绍用欧洲网及上海25m天线,在18cm波长对4C39.25所作的VLBI成象观测的初步结果,显示秒差距尺度复杂结构及可能存在  相似文献

空间VLBI卫星VSOP/HALCA是日本宇航科学研究所(ISAS)的飞行任务,已经在1997年2月升空。它拥有8m直径的射电望远镜,远地点达22000km。和地面的射电望远镜联合观测(干涉观测),其最高分辨率比地面VLBI提高了3倍。该项空间VLBI观测由NSAS的地面跟踪站支持。第一批VLBI图像已经在因特网上发表。RadioAstron项目由俄罗斯科学院列别捷夫物理研究所天文空间中心(ASC  相似文献

本文报道南天区5GHzVLBI的第二轮观测.第二轮观测是在1993年5月期间进行的,共观测了25个射电源,检测到24个源,获得了23个南天区耀变体(Blazar)的VLBI高分辨率的图象,其中15个是第一次VLBI成图,7个是高能(>100MeV)γ射电源,12个源呈现核-喷流结构,其余11个源是单一的致密核,未发现致密双源.有两个源可能有视超光速现象.  相似文献

Blazars are the subclass of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) which includes the Flat Spectrum Radio Quasars (FSRQ) and BL Lacertae (BL Lac) objects. Variability on the short- and long-time scale in all the wide energy ranges from radio up to gamma-ray emission is a special characteristic of blazars. Multi-wavelength studies of the flaring activity and variability of blazars can serve as a tool to probe the physical properties of the near the core regions and processes responsible for the observed features. 3C 454.3 is a bright FSRQ that is intensively studied through the wide range of electromagnetic spectrum. It has shown remarkably high activity since 2000. The long-term observations of 3C 454.3 at 800 GeV–100 TeV energies with the SHALON telescope were started in 1998 year. A number of activity periods were found. The most significant flaring state of 3C 454.3 at TeV energies was detected in the SHALON observational period of November–December 2010. This increase is correlated with the flares at a lower energy range in observations of Fermi-LAT. The direct association of the significant changes of gamma-ray flux with strong core radio flares are not clear but observed correlations and lags in multi-wavelength activity may point to the complexity of the emission processes in blazars connected with disturbance propagating in the jet.  相似文献

This paper begins with a brief summary of the superluminal sources discovered so far. For one of the sources, the quasar 3C 454.3, the main observed results with VLBI at many frequencies and many epochs are then presented. The peculiarities of 3C 454.3 in relation to the general properties of the other superluminal sources are highlighted by means of a comparative table. Lastly, a preliminary discussion on possible explanations for the peculiarities is given.

I present the search for V, R, I rapid optical variability of three gamma-ray loud blazars, 3C 454.3, 1ES 1959+650, 1ES 2344+514, performed at the Loiano telescope. The source 3C 454.3 was observed during the decline of the May 2005 outburst. 3C 454.3 and 1ES 2344$+$514 showed rapid variability in one band at least. The data in this work and archival data support the correlation between the occurrence of rapid variability and the flux variation suggested by Howard et~al., AJ 127, 17 (2004). This paper discusses the content of Compact Symmetric Objects in flux density limited VLBI surveys. We present new multi-wavelength VLBA observations confirming the CSO classification of some objects and two epoch 4 cm global VLBI observations from which we measure the hotspot expansion velocity in a CSO and confirm the expansion velocities previously measured at other wavelengths for 3 other CSOs.  相似文献

We report results of our optical photometric observations of ten gamma-ray loud blazers, namely: 0219+428 (3C66A), PKS 0420-014 (OA 129), S5 0716+714, 0754+100 (OI 090.4), 0827+243 (OJ248), 1652+398 (Mrk 501), 2200+420 (BL Lacertae), 2230+114 (CTA 102), 2251+158 (3C 454.3) and 2344+514. The observations were carried out in September-October, 2000 using the 70 cm optical telescope at Abstumani Observatory, Georgia. We found intra-day variations in 0420-014, S5 0716+714, BL Lacertae and CTA 102. A variation of 0.3 magnitude over a time scale of about 3 hours was observed in the R passband in BL Lacertae on JD 2451827. We did not detect any variation in 3C 66A, Mrk 501, or 3C 454.3 during our observations. Nor did we detect any clear evidence of variation in 1ES 2344+514 during our two weeks' observing run of the TeV gamma-ray source.  相似文献

The kinematics of superluminal components in blazar 3C 454.3 are studied.Nine components are included:superluminal knots R1,R2,R3,R4,A,B,C and D(from Britzen et al.2013) and C4(from Pauliny-Toth 1998).We find that their kinematics derived from VLBI observations can be consistently interpreted in terms of a jet precession scenario with a period of about 14.5 yr.We discuss the model fits of their trajectory,distance from the core and apparent velocity.We show that the bulk Lorentz factor(in the range 4 to 15) derived for these components does not have any dependence on the phase of the precession(or position angle for ejection).The LenseThirring effect is assumed to interpret the precession of the jet nozzle.The results obtained for blazar 3C 454.3 are only suggestive.They are not unique and have yet to be tested,but they might be useful for understanding the kinematics of superluminal components in blazars and for disentangling different mechanisms and factors.  相似文献

We used the VLBA(NRAO, USA) and made VLBI observations towards the compact steep spectrum sources 3C43, 3C48 and 3C454 at the central frequency 1.6 GHz, and obtained their total flux density maps and information on the structures of their components. By comparison with the previous data, we analyzed the variations of their flux densities as well as the displacements of their components. It is found that the total flux density of the source 3C43, as well as the flux densities and relative positions of its components are quite stable in 14 years. For the source 3C454, the total flux density and the flux densities of its components are also relatively stable, but two of the components moved away from the central core with superluminal velocities of 21.6c and 17.7c. Fitted to their flux densities at 4 L-band frequencies, the spectral indexes of the sources 3C43 and 3C454 were obtained to be 0.63 and 0.86, respectively, in good agreement with previous results, and consistent with the definition of α ≥0.5 for compact steep spectrum sources.  相似文献

Based on the light curves at 22 and 37 GHz from the Metsahovi monitoring pro-gram, we investigate the time lags between the two radio bands for 48 radio-loud AGNs. DCF and ZDCF analyses are applied to the data. Our results show that there is a strong correlation between the two radio frequencies for all the sources, with the variations in the light curvesat 37 GHz leading the ones at 22 GHz in general. There is no obvious differences between different sub-class AGNs as regards the time lag. In two sources, it was found that the bursts at the lower frequency lead the ones at the higher frequency. One possible explanation is that electron acceleration dominates the light curve until the radiation reaches the maximum. Some sources, such as 3C 273, 3C 279, 3C 345 and 3C 454.3, have good enough data, so we can calculate their lags burst-by-burst. Our calculations show that different outbursts have dif- ferent lags. Some bursts have positive lags, most of bursts have no clear lags, and a few have negative lags. This result means that different bursts are triggered by different mechanisms, and the interpretation for the result involves both an intrinsic and a geometric mechanism. The positive lags are well consistent with the shock model, and we use these lags to calculate the typical magnetic field strength of the radiating region.  相似文献

3C454.3是近几年引起广泛注意的一个强活动射电类星体,它有毫角秒尺度的核——喷流结构,其核在1981年的一次流量密度大爆发之后,显示出“超光速增亮”现象,在6厘米波长,用包括欧洲、美国及南非的9个射电望远镜,于1983年10月对3C454.3进行了甚长基线干涉网观测。观测结果除了证实其核——喷流结构,显示了从毫角秒到角秒尺度上该类星体结构的系统弯曲外,还清楚地揭示了“超光速增亮”所预期的,在1981年8月到1983年1月期间,核的超光速膨胀现象。  相似文献
