Summary Forty years of daily global and diffuse radiation data have been used to characterize the atmospheric optical conditions at 14 premium radiation stations in China. The clearness index (K T ), diffuse ratio (K D ), and diffuse coefficient (K C ) have been analyzed for long-term and seasonal variations, correlations of relative sunshine (R S ) versus clearness index and diffuse coefficient, respectively. Two polynomial models have been developed to simulate clearness index and diffuse ratio by using relative sunshine data and have been shown to be reasonable at most of the 14 stations. The results show that there are significant declining trends in clearness index and increasing trends in diffuse ratio at most of the 14 premium radiation stations, but there are no significant trends for diffuse coefficient. The seasonal variations of clearness index are determined by the regional climate and changes with relative sunshine.  相似文献

Integrated observations were made of solar irradiance (including photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), visible radiation (VIS), global radiation (G), etc.), and meteorological parameters at 4 stations in North China between September, 2004 and October, 2006. The ratios of hourly sum of PAR to G (H PAR/H), VIS to G (H VIS/H), and PAR to VIS (H PAR/H VIS) varied smoothly but exhibited significant diurnal, daily, seasonal variations, and were influenced by several factors, such as water vapor, cloud, haze, etc. The objective of this paper is to develop empirical formulas for estimation of hourly and daily sums of PAR and VIS and their relationship under all sky conditions in North China. The calculated PAR and VIS were in agreement with measured values, the relative biases were 13.0?% and 12.4?% for hourly sums, 9.9?% and 9.0?% for daily values, respectively.  相似文献

As photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) variability and PAR estimating methods play an important role in climate change and ecological process research, PAR variation trends and broadband global solar radiation (R s ) ratios (PAR/R s ) in the North China Plain (NCP) are examined using in situ PAR and R s observed data for 2005 to 2011. The annual average PAR value found in the NCP is 22.9 mol m?2 d?1. The highest and lowest values were recorded at Changwu and Luancheng sites, respectively. The highest PAR/R s value was found in Jiaozhouwan due to large water vapor volumes present in this area. PAR/R s levels have increased in the NCP due to a decrease in fine aerosols and increase in water vapor concentration. From these analysis results, a parameterization model that can be applied to all sky conditions was checked. Empirical estimation model comparisons for obtaining PAR values indicate that model was least accurate when R s was used independently. When the model included R s, the clearness index (K s) and the solar zenith angle, the model estimated PAR values with acceptable accuracy. A parameterization model was constructed by considering K s and attenuation factors of PAR under clear weather conditions (ρ clear). The improved parameterization model more accurately predicts values for local sites and for various observation sites.  相似文献

Summary ?The relationship between global photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and global solar radiation is studied with a 2-year data archive of hourly values HPAR and HSW of these irradiances obtained at Athalassa, Cyprus. These data are used to determine the temporal variability of HPAR and its dependence on sky conditions. The seasonal variation of the ratio HPAR/HSW obtained from daily data ranges from 0.456 (during summer) to 0.451 (during winter) with an annual mean value of 0.454. The ratio increases from 0.454 to 0.467 (daily values) or from 0.460 to 0.501 (hourly values), as sky conditions change from clear to overcast. Finally, the effect of aerosol content on the HPAR/HSW ratio is found to incur substantial changes in the PAR fraction. Received June 27, 2001; revised April 17, 2002; accepted May 18, 2002  相似文献

Summary In this paper, we analyze global, direct and diffuse solar radiation data on a horizontal surface observed at stations in Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou for the period of 1961 to 2000. The data include monthly averages of the daily clearness index (G/G0: the ratio of global to extraterrestrial solar radiation) and the diffuse fraction (D/G: the ratio of diffuse to global solar radiation. The present study has processed and analyzed the data, including variables or statistics of mean, and annual monthly and daily total, the diurnal variation and the frequency of daily totals of global solar radiation. A correlation between daily values of clearness index and diffuse fraction is obtained and recommended correlation equations were calculated. The annual variations and trend of yearly series are analyzed for daily global, direct and diffuse radiation on a horizontal surface, as well as for daily clearness index and diffuse fraction in Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou. The results show: 1) the east China is characterized by a decrease in global and direct radiation and a little increase in diffuse radiation and a negative linear relationship was obtained between clearness index and diffuse fraction. 2) The annual variations of global, direct and diffuse radiation for Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou are similar with relative low values of global and direct radiation in June due to the Meiyu period. 3) The acceleration of air pollution and decrease of relative sunshine are the possible causes for the decrease of global and direct radiation.  相似文献

通过北京、烟台、郑州、济南等地生长李内对总日射(Q)和光合有效辐射(Q_(PAR))的连续自动记录,发现Q_(PAR)/Q值是比较稳定的,季节和云量对其影响不大。而太阳高度角较低时此值的变化,主要由仪器的余弦响应所引起。以目前总日射表的制造水准尚无法解决余弦响应的干扰问题。通过对实测资料的分析,得到了适合我国华北平原地区的计算公式为Q_(PAR)=0.42Q。过去国外的计算结果系统偏高,本结果与国内外最新研究成果相一致。  相似文献

Summary ?Daily global and diffuse radiation measurements have been used to characterize the atmosphere optical conditions at Kwangju (Lat.35.13N, Long.126.53E) and Seoul (Lat.37.57N, Long.126.98E) in South Korea and Ile-Ife (Lat.7.14N, Long.4.56E) in Nigeria. The clearness index, (CI) which gives the percentage depletion by the sky of the incoming global radiation and the diffuse ratio, (DR) which represents the effectiveness of the sky in scattering incoming radiation have been analyzed in this study. Results show an average clearness index value of 0.57 for the year 1999 with maximum values occurring during the wet seasons at Ile-Ife. The average clearness indexes for Kwangju and Seoul from 1998–2000 was 0.48 and 0.34, respectively, with both stations having maximum clearness indexes in the winter seasons. The diffuse ratio was higher at Kwangju and Seoul than at Ile-Ife due to heavy dust pollution from the Gobi desert in the Korea peninsula in spring, and high biomass burning at Kwangju in the fall. Climatic variables are frequently used as weighting factors to indicate the degree of clearness for interpreting sky patterns. However, such important parameters are not always widely available and their criteria to define a sky condition are not clear-cut. In addition, certain variables may be more effective than the others in terms of sky identification. This paper studies the capability of various daylight parameters, namely zenith luminance, global, direct-beam and sky-diffuse illuminance, and solar altitude for categorizing the 15 International Commission on Illumination (CIE) standard skies. A new form of artificial neural networks called probabilistic neural network (PNN) which is a powerful technique for pattern recognition was used for the analysis. The findings suggested that the PNN is an appropriate tool when a number of climatic parameters of various criteria for differentiating sky standards are employed, and the ratio of zenith luminance to diffuse illuminance (L z/D v) and solar altitude (?? s) are respectively the most and the least significant input parameters for discriminating between the 15 CIE skies.  相似文献

Summary ¶Global, diffuse, and horizontal direct (beam) irradiances have been evaluated for 13 stations in Germany where the time series vary between 11 and 48 years. Global irradiance has decreased significantly at two stations and increased at four stations. The mean trend in global is an increase of 1.94Wm–2 or 1.83% per decade. Diffuse irradiance has decreased at five stations, with a mean reduction of 2.44Wm–2 or 3.46% per decade, while horizontal direct irradiance has increased an average of 4.86Wm–2 or 10.40% per decade at five stations. Increases in global and direct are most common at stations in the southwest region of Germany, decreases in global were observed in the southeast, and there was an absence of spatial homogeneity in the diffuse trends. Spatial variability in irradiance over Germany is higher in the direct component compared to variability in global and diffuse.Trend analyses of concomitant time series of radiation, bright sunshine duration, and modeled estimates of Ångströms turbidity coefficient suggest that long-term decreases in aerosols are the most likely cause of increases in global irradiance observed at Mannheim, Norderney, and Trier; decreases in diffuse at Hohenpeissenberg, Kassel, Mannheim, and Trier; and increases in direct irradiance at Bocholt, Kassel, Mannheim, and Trier. An increase in sunshine duration at Freiburg likely contributed to an increase in global and direct irradiance observed at that station.  相似文献

Summary In order to quantify the effects of temperature and soil water content on soil respiration, during June and July 2002 CO2 soil efflux was measured with a closed chamber (non-steady state, flow through) system in the field. The amount of CO2 emission was highly dependent on the land-use in the observation area, which consisted of meadow soil and brownfield. The CO2 emission from the brownfield ranged from 0.9 to 5.5µmol CO2 m–2s–1, and that for meadow soil from 1.1 to 12.6µmol CO2 m–2s–1. Soil respiration, as a function of soil temperature (Tsoil), relative soil water content (RSWC), soil pH, and the soil carbon/nitrogen ratio (C/N), was analysed by a modified closed non-linear regression model. Between 63% and 81% of the variation of soil CO2 emission could be explained with changes of Tsoil, RSWC, pH, and C/N for the individual chambers on the brownfield.Subsequent analysis involved a comparison of the soil chamber results with eddy covariance (EC) measurements of one week, and included a footprint analysis to account for the influence of the different land use types on the measurements. For this, EC data (143 measurements after quality check) were restricted to those originating from the brownfield area with more than 90% of the flux. For a second comparison, the net ecosystem exchange (NEE) was calculated for different parts of the meadow using the SVAT model PROXEL. Together with the respiration from the brownfield, a weighted average of model NEE was produced using the flux contribution determined by the footprint model. Acceptable agreement (r2=0.69) was found between the modelled data and individual EC measurements, except during situations where the performance of the footprint model was disturbed by internal boundary layer effects.  相似文献

Henry's law constantsK H (mol kg–1 atm–1) have been determined at 298.15 K for the following organic acids: formic acid (5.53±0.27×103); acetic acid (5.50±0.29×103); propionic acid (5.71±0.34×103);n-butyric acid (4.73±0.18×103); isobutyric acid (1.13±0.12×103); isovaleric acid (1.20±0.11×103) and neovaleric acid (0.353±0.04×103). They have also been determined fromT=278.15 K toT=308.15 K forn-valeric acid (ln(K H)=–14.3371+6582.96/T);n-caproic acid (ln(K H)=–13.9424+6303.73/T) and pyruvic acid (ln(K H)=–4.41706+5087.92/T). The influence of 9 salts on the solubility of pyruvic acid at 298.15 K has been measured. Pyruvic acid is soluble enough to partition strongly into aqueous atmospheric aerosols. Other acids require around 1 g of liquid water m–3 (typical of clouds) to partition significantly into the aqueous phase. The degree of partitioning is sensitive to temperature. Considering solubility and dissociation (to formate) alone, the ratio of formic acid to acetic acid in liquid water in the atmosphere (at equilibrium with the gas phase acids) is expected to increase with rising pH, but show little variation with temperature.  相似文献

Summary Hourly measurements of solar irradiance in the wave band excluding photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and solar irradiance (SI) were made over a 12-month period at the National Observatory of Athens, for obtaining the ratios of PAR to SI. These irradiance ratios exhibit dependence on sky conditions, with slightly larger values being observed under cloudy skies and seasonal variations, attributable to changes in local air mass climatology. The highest values have been obtained during the growing season (April–September). The mean annual value of 0.473 observed for the irradiance ratio in the PAR band compares favorably with values reported in the literature for different locations over a wide geographical area.With 2 Figures  相似文献

Summary The temperature T of a black or gray body orbiting the Sun can be expressed in terms of spherical harmonics in latitude and longitude, its Keplerian orbital elements, and a variable describing rotation about its axis. Assuming that the Earth is a black or gray body without thermal inertia, the resulting equation for T exhibits previously unrecognized odd-degree zonal terms dubbed Seversmith psychroterms. They cause a hemispheric temperature difference which depends upon e sin S, where e is the orbital eccentricity and S is the Suns argument of perigee measured in an Earth-centered frame. The hemisphere containing perihelion is the cooler. For a gray body with the Earths average albedo of 0.3, an emissivity of unity, and an obliquity of 23.5°, the pole-to-pole temperature difference for the combined first and third degree spherical harmonic psychroterms can reach 3.4K for the present eccentricity of 0.016, and 12.9K for the maximum eccentricity of 0.06. While a thermally inertia-less black or gray body with boiling hot subsolar points and nights at absolute zero are poor models for the Earth, the Seversmith psychroterms will survive in more realistic models (although with smaller amplitudes) because the Earth radiates nonlinearly in T. The psychroterms acts in the direction opposite to the Milankovitch precession index, which also depends on e sin S: by warming the cool northern summers, the psychroterms make it harder for the traditional Milankovitch mechanism to operate. The Seversmith psychroterms could in fact be responsible for the ice sheets that cycle with e sin S, instead of the Milankovitch mechanism. By cooling the southern hemisphere for thousands of years when perihelion is in the south, the psychroterms may somehow cause the southern hemisphere to control the northern ice sheets associated with the 23kyr and 19kyr periods (kyr=103 years), possibly through ice-albedo feedback in the sea ice surrounding Antarctica. Two other unexpected features besides the psychroterms are: while the average insolation increases with increasing e, the average temperature of the Earth paradoxically decreases; and the equator-to-pole temperature difference of 21K on a gray body with an albedo equal to 0.3 and an emissivity of unity is actually smaller than the observed difference of 28K on the real Earth.  相似文献

Summary This paper deals with fractal analysis of daily solar irradiances measured with a time step of 10 minutes at Golden and Boulder located in Colorado. The aim is to estimate the fractal dimensions in order to perform classification of daily solar irradiances. The estimated fractal dimension and the clearness index KT are used as classification criteria. The results show that these criteria lead to three classes: clear sky, partially covered sky and overcast sky. The results also show that the evaluation of the fractal dimension of the irradiance signal based on a data set with 10 minutes time step is possible.  相似文献

Die so erhaltenen Werte vonJ K sind praktisch unabhängig vom -Exponenten der Dunstextinktion.J K -Werte fürB=0 verschiedener Autoren werden verglichen, und Trübungsgrößen verschiedener Diagramme (,T K ,B nachSchüepp) werden in Beziehung gesetzt. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, daß dieSchüepp-sche Methode bei kleinen Trübungen wahrscheinlich etwas zu hohe Werte ergibt.
Summary To simplify the determination of atmospheric turbidity by actinometric measurements with respect to theSchüepp method, a diagram has been computed from the data ofSchüepp to derive the decadic turbidity coefficientB 500 from measurements of short wave radiation (J K , <625 nm). Values ofJ K are practically independent of the -exponent of haze attenuation.J K -values forB=0 of different authors and turbidity values of different diagrams (,T K ,B Schüepp) are compared. It is pointed out that theSchüepp method yields probably slightly too high values with small turbidity.

Résumé Le calcul du trouble atmosphérique d'après les mesures actinométriques est assez compliqué selon la méthode deSchüepp ou d'autres méthodes semblables. Afin d'en faciliter notablement la détermination, l'auteur a calculé une abaque en se basant sur les données deSchüepp. Ce diagramme permet d'évaluer le coefficient de trouble atmosphérique décadaireB 500 en partant de la mesure du rayonnement à ondes courtes (J K , <625 m). Les valeurs deJ K obtenues alors sont pratiquement indépendantes de l'exposant de l'extinction due à la brume. Les valeurs deJ K pourB=0 et provenant de divers auteurs sont comparées entre elles. On a en outre établi le rapport existant entre le trouble atmosphérique calculé d'après divers diagrammes (,T K ,B Schüepp). On rend le lecteur attentif au fait que les valeurs calculées selonSchüepp sont probablement trop élevées lorsque le trouble atmosphérique est peu important.

Vassy kein Beweis für die Richtigkeit der Beziehunge=J.K(T) erbracht ist.
Summary In the question of temperature dependence of ozone content of the atmosphere A. andE. Vassy have concluded from the equation loge n –logJ n logK(T n ) that also the formula loge n logJ n +logK(T n ) must be valid. In this paper it is proved that the neglections which may be admitted for the first equation, can conduct to great errors. Therefore A. andE. Vassy have not produced a proof for the correctness of the equatione=J.K(T).

An expression is derived relating the critical flux Richardson number with the critical (gradient) Richardson number. In contrast to an earlier analysis by Townsend (1958), which is restricted to the atmosphere well outside the earth's boundary layer, the present treatment is intended specifically for turbulent flow in the lower atmosphere and it takes account of the effect of evaporation on the stability. The effect of radiation on the rate of destruction of the mean square of the temperature fluctuations is obtained by considering the radiative flux divergence in a stratified atmosphere and by using a simple functional relationship to represent empirical emissivity data.It was found that evaporation and radiation increase the critical Richardson number by a sensible amount depending on the atmospheric conditions, mainly temperature, humidity and the gradients. There is no definite critical Richardson number but rather a range between 0.25, below which turbulence is very likely, and somewhat higher than 0.5, above which turbulence is improbable. The value of the critical Richardson number can be expressed in terms of evaporation, radiation and the ratio ( w /u *) which also appears not to have a definite critical value. Evaporation and radiation cause the ratio ( w /u *) to be larger than unity under neutral conditions. These results, based on the assumption of Reynolds' analogy,K H =K M , are consistent with the available experimental evidence.  相似文献

Henry's law constants KH (mol kg–1 atm–1) for the reaction HOCl(g)=HOCl(aq) near room temperature, literature data for the associated enthalpy change, and solubilities of HOCl in aqueous H2SO4 (46 to 60 wt%) at temperatures relevant to the stratosphere (200 KT230 K) are shown to be thermodynamically consistent. Effective Henry's law constants [H*=mHOCl/pHOCl, in mol kg–1 atm–1] of HOCl in aqueous H2SO4 are given by: ln(H*)=6.4946–mH2SO4(–0.04107+54.56/T)–5862 (1/To–1/T) where T(K) is temperature and To=298.15K. The activity coefficient of HOCl in aqueous H2SO4 has a simple Setchenow-type dependence upon H2SO4 molality.  相似文献

Using Microwave Sounding Unit (MSU) channel 2 (Ch. 2, 53.74 GHz) data, Spencer and Christy (1992a) determined that the earth exhibits no temperature trend in the period 1979–90, while other authors find a temperature increase of roughly 0.1 K. Based on a theoretical analysis Prabhakara et al. (1995) showed that the information about the global atmospheric temperature deduced from MSU Ch. 2 observations has a small contamination, T 2, as a result of the attenuation due to hydrometeors in the atmosphere. A method is developed in this study, that utilizes coincident measurements made by MSU in Ch. 1 (50.3 GHz), to estimate this T 2 over the global oceans. The magnitude of T 2 is found to be about 1 K over significant parts of the tropical oceanic rain belts and about 0.25 K over minor portions of the mid-latitude oceanic storm tracks. Due to events such as El Niôo, there is variability from year to year in the rain areas and rain intensity leading to significant change in the patterns of T 2. The patterns of T 2 derived for March 82 and March 83 reveal such a change. When averaged over the global oceans, from 50° N to 50° S, T 2 has a value of 0.25 and 0.29 K for March 1982 and 1983, respectively. Due to these reasons the interannual temperature change derived by Spencer and Christy from MSU Ch. 2 will contain a residual hydrometeor effect. Thus in evaluating decadal trend of the global mean temperature of the order of 0.1 K from MSU Ch. 2 data one has to take into account completely the contamination due to hydrometeors.  相似文献

Summary A radiative transfer model has been used to determine the large scale effective 6.6 GHz and 37 GHz optical depths of the vegetation cover. Knowledge of the vegetation optical depth is important for satellite-based large scale soil moisture monitoring using microwave radiometry. The study is based on actual observed large scale surface soil moisture data and observed dual polarization 6.6 and 37 GHz Nimbus/SMMR brightness temperatures over a 3-year period. The derived optical depths have been compared with microwave polarization differences and polarization ratios in both frequencies and with Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) values from NOAA/AVHRR. A synergistic approach to derive surface soil emissivity from satellite observed brightness temperatures by inverse modelling is described. This approach improves the relationship between satellite derived surface emissivity and large scale top soil moisture fromR 2=0.45 (no correction for vegetation) toR 2=0.72 (after correction for vegetation).
