根据对秦岭及其两侧地台区沉积体系与旋回沉积的分析,认为该区在早古生代总体上处于板块的扩张阶段,其中巨厚的台地碳酸盐岩的广布的远洋沉积是其典型岩相。早奥陶世阿伦尼克中期华北地台南的一度隆升与剥蚀,标志着俯冲作用开始,但未发现加里东期碰撞造山作用的证据。该区晚奥陶世一志留纪大规模的海退主要是全球海平面下降的结果,与碰撞造山人关系不大。  相似文献

三叶虫证据表明,除北疆区的阿尔泰地体和兴安区的额尔古纳-兴安地体与西伯利亚和劳伦陆块在动物群方面紧密关联外,中国奥陶纪的所有板块和大部分地体均系当时东泛冈瓦纳的重要组成部分,在生物地理上彼此密切相关。对这些属于东泛冈瓦纳的中国区块的台地或内陆棚三叶虫动物群的综合分析研究证明,它们在特马豆克期(Tremadocian)以及凯迪晚期-赫南特期(late Katian-Hirnantian)或阿石极期(Ashgill)应归属同一生物地理区,而在弗洛期-凯迪早期(Floian-early Katian)或阿仑尼克期-卡拉多克期(Arenig-Caradoc)则可划分为两个生物地理亚区:一个由华南、塔里木板块和安南或印支地体组成,另一个包括华北板块以及滇缅马、藏南、中天山-北山地体(可能还有海南地体)。饶有趣味的是在凯迪晚期或阿石极期开始发生的生物地理亚区解体之前,有关陆块的深水相三叶虫动物群已经历了从达瑞威尔中期(mid Darriwilian)至凯迪早期的长期频繁交流以及组成逐渐趋于齐一的过程。因此深水动物群之间的属种交流和一体化进程的发生、发展和完成显然均先于浅水一侧的三叶虫。  相似文献

Metamorphism in the late Permian to early Cretaceous North Island basement greywackes has been investigated using petrography and clay mineral crystallinity. Several terranes are represented in the North Island greywackes and the study area includes Murihiku, Manaia Hill, Bay of Islands and Omahuta terranes and the Mélange Zone. Very low-grade metamorphic events in the greywackes have produced mineral assemblages of zeolite to pumpellyite-actinolite greywacke facies. Zeolite facies greywackes are characterized by the assemblage Zeo (Lmt, Anl, Hul)+Qtz±Ab±Cal± Chl±I±I/S* observed in the entire Murihiku terrane and in the eastern part of the Bay of Islands terrane and the Mélange Zone. The entire Manaia Hill, most of the Bay of Islands, the eastern area of the Omahuta terranes and the central part of the Mélange Zone are at prehnite-pumpellyite facies with mineral assemblages of Prh+Qtz+Chl+Pmp+Ab+± Ill±Cal±Lmt. Pumpellyite-actinolite facies with the mineral assemblage of Pmp±Act+Qtz+Ab+Chl±Ep±Ill±Cal±Chl occurs in the western part of the Mélange Zone and the Omahuta terrane.

Illite (IC) and chlorite (ChC) crystallinity values of greywackes are very similar and range from diagenetic zone to anchizone. Metamorphic conditions indicated by the IC and ChC and mineral facies are in excellent agreement and correlate as follows: crystallinity diagenetic-zone with the zeolite mineral facies, crystallinity lower anchizone with prehnite-pumpellyite mineral facies and crystallinity upper anchizone with pumpellyite-actinolite mineral facies. The general increase in the metamorphic grade from east to west, except in Murihiku terrane, is compatible with the sequence of accretion expected in a subduction environment.  相似文献

<正> 二十年前,关于华北地台的上奥陶统是否存在,几乎一无所知。一般都认为华北地台无晚奥陶世的沉积。但是,近二十年来,在华北地台西缘的许多地区不断地发现了上奥陶统。这些发现对阐明华北地台古地理、海水进退和构造运动等方面都有重要意义。 1960前,王钰、穆恩之、卢衍豪曾提出华北地台可能有上奥陶统的看法。1960年,俞昌民根据陕西耀县(原文为富平县)、宁夏固原县产有与祁连山扣门子组相同种的珊瑚Catenipora uniforma(C.M.Yu),初步肯定含该化石的地层年代为晚奥陶世。  相似文献

Until recently, only fossils of Caradoc to Carboniferous age have been reported from the Northern Greywacke Zone/Eastern Alps. New medium-preserved and diversified acritarch assemblages from the Lower Wildschönau Formation indicate a Lower Ordovician (Tremadoc and Arenig) age. These fossil spectra define a well-constrained time interval for a lower section of the Northern Greywacke Zone for the first time.  相似文献

Greywackes (Dharwar greywackes) are the most abundant rock types in the northern part of the Dharwar-Shimoga greenstone belt of the western Dharwar craton. They are distinctly immature rocks with poorly-sorted angular to sub-angular grains, comprising largely quartz, plagioclase feldspar and lithic fragments of volcanics (mafic+felsic), chert and quartzite, with subordinate biotite, K-feldspar and muscovite. They are characterized by almost uniform silica (59.78-67.96 wt%; av. 62.58), alkali (4.62-7.35 wt%; av. 5.41) contents, SiO2/Al2O3 (3.71-5.25) ratios, and compositionally are comparable to the andesite and dacite. As compared to Ranibennur greywackes, located about 100 km south of Dharwad in the Dharwar-Shimoga greenstone belt, the Dharwar greywackes have higher K2O, CaO, Zr, Y, ΣREE, Th/Sc, Zr/Cr, La/Sc and lower Sr, Cr, Ni, Sc, Cr/Th values. The chondrite normalized patterns of Dharwar greywackes are characterized by moderately fractionated REE patterns with moderate to high LREE enrichment, with almost flat HREE patterns and small negative Eu anomalies, suggesting felsic dominated source rocks in the provenance. The frame work grains comprising felsic and mafic volcanics, feldspars and quartz suggest a mixed source in the provenance. The moderate CIA values ranging between 57 and 73, indicate derivation of detritus from fresh basement rocks and from nearby volcanic sources.The mixing calculations suggest that the average REE pattern is closely matching with a provenance having 40% dacite, 30% granite, 20% basalt and 10% tonalite. These greywackes were deposited in a subduction related forearc basin than a continental margin basin. Their La/Sc ratios are high (av. 4.07) compared to the Ranibennur greywackes (1.79), suggesting that the greywackes of the northern part of the basin received detritus from a more evolved continental crust than the greywackes of the central part of the Dharwar-Shimoga basin.  相似文献

Data- and knowledge-driven techniques are used to produce regional Au prospectivity maps of a portion of Melville Peninsula, Northern Canada using geophysical and geochemical data. These basic datasets typically exist for large portions of Canada's North and are suitable for a “greenfields” exploration programme. The data-driven method involves the use of the Random Forest (RF) supervised classifier, a relatively new technique that has recently been applied to mineral potential modelling while the knowledge-driven technique makes use of weighted-index overlay, commonly used in GIS spatial modelling studies. We use the location of known Au occurrences to train the RF classifier and calculate the signature of Au occurrences as a group from non-occurrences using the basic geoscience dataset. The RF classification outperformed the knowledge-based model with respect to prediction of the known Au occurrences. The geochemical data in general were more predictive of the known Au occurrences than the geophysical data. A data-driven approach such as RF for the production of regional Au prospectivity maps is recommended provided that a sufficient number of training areas (known Au occurrences) exist.  相似文献

Floods are a major natural hazard, with vast implications over a wide range of socio-economic activities. A harmonized post-flood classification is critical for a better understanding of this hazard, by providing homogeneous flood catalogues for future research on triggering mechanisms. We apply a flood severity index (FSI) to damaging floods in Northern Portugal over a 152-year period (1865–2016) and identify the most critical areas to flood occurrences. The index is a damage-based post-event assessment tool, which includes five categories ranging from minor flooding (1) to catastrophic flooding (5). FSI is applied to a historical damaging flood database with 2318 occurrences. In Northern Portugal, serious floods (3) are the most frequent typology, while catastrophic floods are typically river floods occurring in the Douro basin. Overall, damaging flood occurrences are favoured by the positive phase of the East Atlantic pattern and by the negative phase of the North Atlantic Oscillation. Furthermore, the north-western areas reveal higher concentrations of damaging flood occurrences, mainly due to higher population density, higher precipitation values and more flood plain areas. In particular, 48% of all occurrences are concentrated in the Porto Metropolitan Area, mainly the Porto city centre and nearby riverside areas of the Douro River. High-population density and heavily urbanized areas lead to greater exposure to flood risk, whereas the most peripheral municipalities, with large agricultural/forested areas, show much lower numbers of damaging floods. FSI is tool to communicate the magnitude of the flood risk and is, therefore, of foremost relevance to civil protection and risk management.  相似文献

秦岭及共邻区的三叠系自北而南可分为四带.北秦岭三叠系具有富含植物化石的陆相上三叠统,其下的优地槽型细碧角斑岩系时代未定.中秦岭下三叠统为复理石夹多层砾状灰岩,后者系斜坡沉积,物源可能来自北方,安尼期为复理石.南秦岭北带在二叠纪晚期已裂陷接受复理石及以砾状灰岩为代表的斜坡沉积.早三叠世至安尼期为深水相黑色板岩、薄层灰岩、复理石并夹火山岩.南秦岭南带及巴顿喀喇从早三叠世至安尼期为扬子地台的一部分,岩相及化百群与之一致,具有发育良好的安尼期陆棚边缘生物滩.从拉丁期开始裂陷.出现鱼鳞蛤页岩、砾状灰岩及巨厚复理石,后者延续至晚三叠世,有放射虫为证.整个中,南秦岭呈现一个由二叠纪晚期开始,延续于印支期的裂陷槽发育史.它的北部—中秦岭和南秦岭北带于二叠纪末及三叠纪初先后裂陷,并于拉丁期褶皱回返.它的南部—南秦岭南带及巴颜喀喇于拉丁期裂陷,并于三叠纪末回返.这个裂陷槽是否构成印支期秦岭的主体,抑或它仅是“北秦岭小洋盆”在扬子大陆边缘的弧后扩张盆地,取决于北秦岭是否存在早、中三叠世优地槽沉积.后者尚未证实.  相似文献

The brachiopod fauna from the base of the Bryn Siltstone Formation (middle Caradoc), Glyn Ceiriog, north Berwyn Hills, North Wales, consists of Platystrophia elevata sp. nov., Salopia abbreviata sp. nov., Kiaeromena ungula (M'Coy) and unnamed species of Hesperorthis?, Reuschella and Bicuspina. The dominant brachiopod species, Leptaena (Leptagonia) ungula M'Coy, 1851 is revised and its current assignment to the leptaenid genus Kiaeromena confirmed, based on the examination of type and topotype material from the Bryn Siltstone Formation. Kiaeromena spjeldnaesi nom. nov. is proposed to replace the junior homonym K. ungula Spjeldnæs, 1957 for that congeneric species from the upper Caradoc rocks of Ringerike, southern Norway. The fauna as a whole is unusual within the context of the Anglo-Welsh province and may represent a rare preserved nearshore community.  相似文献

The Caradoc volcanic rocks of the Lleyn Peninsula represent a major episode of rhyolite-dominated eruption (total volume up to 560 km3) within the Southern British Caledonides. New geochemical data reveal the original chemical characteristics of the basic, intermediate, and acid lavas. The basalts are interpreted as having predominantly within-plate character and are associated with intermediate lavas (trachybasalts) and high-Zr, originally peralkaline, trachytes, and rhyolites. A low-Zr, originally high-K, subalkalic group of rhyolites, and a basalt with transitional island arc tholeiite-MORB characteristics are unrelated to these lavas. The volcanic rocks are interpreted to have been erupted onto a complex, rapidly evolving, active continental margin dominated by crustal tension.  相似文献

In the Southern Black Forest area of SW-Germany, pre-Permian paleozoic sequences seem to be confined to a narrow strip around Badenweiler-Schönau-Lenzkirch. It consists of uncertain (possibly M.- to U.-Devonian) shales and “Kulm”, i.e. L.-Carboniferous greywackes, conglomerates, sandstones and shales with volcanic intercalations. The rocks can be subdivided in a) Tournai-greywackes of marine origin. Volcanism reaches into the b) Visé characterized by marine limestones and dolomites. There seems to be a disconformity above followed by c) conglomerates and pyroclastic rocks. A late-hercynian (variscean) tectonic out-line of the occurrence was initiated by early-variscean basin-formation.  相似文献

Late Archaean Supracrustals of the Goa-Dharwar sector (GDS) are composed of a thick sequence of greywacke sequence with narrow intercalations of quartzite, BIF and carbonates. Mafic volcanics occupy the base of the sequence. The greywackes are predominantly tuffacious containing chlorite-sericite and hornblende. Arkosic variations containing biotite dominate the western part of the sector. Fine-grained variations occur as isolated narrow lenses within other types of greywackes. The conglomeratic greywackes are localized along the western and the eastern margins of the sector. All of the greywackes are all typically immature containing coarser clasts of mostly plagioclase (18–23%) and quartz (32–34%). Lithic fragments of felsic volcanic rocks are common. The matrix is dominated by mafic material. Biotite and amphibole are related to metamorphic recrystallization. Chlorite, sericite, epidote, carbonate and chert are products of the interplay of diagenesis and low-grade metamorphism. Fe-Ti oxide, sphene, apatite and zircon are usual accessories. But for slight enrichment in K2O, the major element chemistry of the GDS greywackes is similar to the chemistry of Late Archaean greywackes. They also compare in respect of V, Co, Hf contents, K2O/Na2O, SiO2/Al2O3, Na2O/Al2O3, Ba/Rb, Th/U, La/Th, Sm/Nd ratios, steep REE patterns with distinct LREE enrichment and HREE depletion. The GDS greywackes however are distinctly enriched in Rb, Ba, Sr, Th, U, Cu, Zr, Ce/Ce* and depleted in Cr, Ni, and Zn. The conglomeritic and biotite bearing verities contain considerable proportions of clasts derived from the basement tonalitic/granitic terrain. The common tuffacious greywackes containing hornblende and biotite-sericite however include only volcanic clasts and bear evidence of derivation from submarine weathering of predominantly felsic volcanics erupted on a large scale to form a magmatic arc in the later stages of geosynclinal deposition. Geochemical data suggest that the GDS greywackes were laid down in progressively changing basin geometry from a passive to active continental margin and island arc setting.  相似文献

The Trenton Group (Late Ordovician), the youngest carbonate unit in the Taconic foreland basin of southern Quebec, is a tripartite unit with a distinctive coarse-grained middle part, the Deschambault Formation. Lithofacies of the Deschambault Formation are dominated by coarse-grained bioclastic/intraclastic limestones; finer-grained lithofacies are ubiquitous but subordinate. The complete spectrum of lithofacies indicates sedimentation ranging from above fairweather- to below storm-wave base. Skeletal components are indicative of the modern temperate-water bryomol association. Non-skeletal elements are represented by peloids and intraclasts. Accretion rates from areas of continuous sedimentation were low (<14 cm/103 years). From sedimentological and faunal evidence, it is proposed that the Late Ordovician Deschambault ramp was bathed by temperate waters. The model compares favourably with modern cool-water shelves rimming the southern edge of the Australian continent. Palaeomagnetic data locate southern Quebec in a low latitudinal setting during the Late Ordovician. Upper Ordovician facies distribution in eastern Canada and progressive disappearance of some faunal provinces through Late Ordovician time are used to conclude that the initiation of the Late Ordovician glaciation that covered most of Gondwana was instrumental in easing northward movement of cold oceanic currents. This resulted in the rapid contraction of the southern hemisphere warm-water tropical belt from a 30° latitudinal-wide zone in the early Caradoc to a 15° zone in the late Caradoc.  相似文献

塔(里木盆地)北(部)隆起中生代以来经历了逆冲上隆,构造反转和再生前陆盆地斜坡带3个阶段,分别与库车前陆盆地构造运动强、弱、强的演化历史相对应。塔北隆起的大型负反转构造形成于白垩纪-中新世。白垩纪之前,塔北断隆作为库车前陆盆地和北部坳陷的相邻单元,发育两组背冲断裂以实现其缩短。在构造宁静期(白垩纪-新第三纪吉迪克期),岩石圈回跳,前缘隆起局部伸展,早期逆冲断块沿着原逆冲断层面下滑形成负反转构造。中新世以后,塔北地区成为库车再生前陆盆地的斜坡区,负反转构造得以保存且有进一步加剧之势。塔北隆起上伸展应力场的产生与深部岩石圈同步挠曲变形过程中波峰和波长的变化有关。  相似文献

The Mesozoic rocks of Cuba are a key element in reconstructing the geological history of the Mesoamerican (Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean) area. Four different Jurassic-Cretaceous sections are recorded in Cuba, including three from tectonostratigraphic terranes. From north to south they include the following: (1) a portion of the Mesozoic passive margin of North America, with outstanding zonality, especially in the Middle Cretaceous of central Cuba; (2) the Northern Ophiolitic Belt, also with Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous rocks, which is a huge melange; all members of the ophiolitic suite are tectonically mingled along the northern part of Cuba; (3) the Volcanic Arc Terrane, mainly composed of Cretaceous volcanics, with older, primarily tholeiitic lavas (Aptian-Albian) and younger (Cenomanian-Campanian) calc-alkaline pyroclastics and lavas, with many sedimentary interbeds; Albian-Cenomanian deposits with a few volcanics separate both sequences, and an Upper Jurassic-Neocomian amphibolitic basement of the volcanic arc is present in some places; and (4) the Southern Metamorphic Terranes that contain rocks of a Mesozoic passive margin that experienced several metamorphic episodes during the Cretaceous.

The welding of these terranes occurred during the Cretaceous, and ended in the late Campanian and Maastrichtian. In the south, the volcanic terrane was emplaced upon the Southern Metamorphic Terranes, while in the north the volcanics and ophiolites were thrust over the Mesozoic margin of North America. In western Cuba, the beds are strongly deformed and thrust to the north or northwest. Nappes also are present in north-central Cuba, but an essentially Bahamian platform stratigraphy is present. Although the passive paleomargin of North America was deformed in the latest Cretaceous, this event is masked by the early Tertiary Cuban orogeny.

It is suggested that the Jurassic stratigraphy of the Southern Metamorphic Terranes shares features with the southern North American passive margin in western Cuba. The position of the Southern Metamorphic Terranes south of the ophiolite and arc terrane therefore does not support the idea of a Pacific origin for the Cretaceous island arcs of the Greater Antilles, but instead suggests that a proto-Caribbean genesis is more plausible.  相似文献

Coronates form a small but distinctive group of lower Palaeozoic echinoderms, most closely related to eublastoids. The coronate fauna of Czechoslovakia includes Mespilocystites bohemicus Barrande 1887 from the Lower and Middle Caradoc, characterized by a conical theca, coronal processes which diverge markedly upwards, and distinctly angled radial furrows; Stephanoblaslus mints (Barrande 1887), from the Wenlock, typified by an elongate bud-shaped theca with three radiating keels at the base and a very narrow stem; and ‘Stephanocrinus’ gemmiformis (Hall 1852) from the Ludlow, with a cup-shaped theca and low coronal processes. ‘S.’ gemmiformis has not previously been reported from outside North America or above the Wenlock.  相似文献
