Twenty-four piston core sediment samples and 13 sediments and 3 basalts from DSDP Leg 78 Site 543 were analyzed for Sr, Nd and Pb isotopic compositions. The results show sediment with highly radiogenic Pb206Pb204Pb up to 19.8) and rather radiogenic Sr and unradiogenic Nd has been deposited in the region since the Cretaceous. The source of this sediment is probably the Archean Guiana Highland, which is drained by the Orinoco River. Pb and Sr isotopic compositions and sediment thickness decrease and143Nd144Nd increases northward due to a decrease in turbiditic component. This decrease is partly due to the damming action of basement ridges. Rare earth concentrations in the sediments are somewhat low, due to the abundance of detrital and biogenic components in the sediment and rapid sedimentation rates. Both positive and negative Ce anomalies occur in the surface sediments, but only positive Ce anomalies occur in the Site 543 sediments. It is unlikely that sediment subducted to the source region of Lesser Antilles arc magmas could be the cause of negative Ce anomalies in those magmas.Isotopic compositions of Site 543 basalts show some effect of contamination by seawater-basalt reaction products and sediments. Beyond this, however, they are typical of “normal” depleted MORB.  相似文献

We have analyzed samples from the Adirondack Marcy massif for Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd isotopes in an attempt to determine directly the primary crystallization age of a Proterozoic massif-type anorthosite rock suite. The oldest age obtained (1288 ± 36Ma) is from a 4 point Sm-Nd isochron defined by igneous-textured whole-rock and mineral separate data from a local layered sequence gradational from oxiderich pyroxenite to leuconorite. This age is older than Silver's (1969) 1113 Ma zircon age of associated charnockites, but is within the window of permissible anorthosite ages based on previous geochronology and field relationships. As such, 1288 Ma may represent the time of crystallization of the massif. For the most part, however, both Sm-Nd and Rb-Sr isotopic systems did not survive granulite facies metamorphism. Internal isochrons based on whole rocks and minerals yield ages between 995 and 919 Ma. These isotopic data suggest that the granulite fades metamorphism experienced by the massif was a prograde event that occurred a minimum of 100 Ma and as much as 350 Ma after crystallization of the massif. The relatively large range in Rb abundance, and in calculated initial 87Sr86Sr (0.7039–0.7050) and 143Nd144Nd ratios among anorthosite suite rocks, particularly those at or near the contacts of the Marcy massif is explicable by variable contamination with “crustal” materials and/or fluids, derived from surrounding acidic metaplutonic rocks, paragneisses, and marbles. Despite uncertainies caused by crustal contamination and metamorphic resetting of primary ages, Marcy samples have epsilon Nd values between +0.44 and +5.08, implying a source for the massif with long-term depletion in light rare earth elements. A probable source material would be depleted mantle.  相似文献

Basalts from the Columbia River flood basalt province of the northwestern U.S.A. show a large diversity in chemical and Nd and Sr isotopic compositions. 143Nd144Nd ranges from 0.51303 to 0.51208 and is strongly correlated with variations in 87Sr86Sr. This correlation suggests mixing between two end member compositions, one characterized by 143Nd144Nd > 0.51303 and 87Sr86Sr < 0.7035, and the other with 143Nd144Nd < 0.5120 and 87Sr86Sr > 0.715. The more radiogenic component could be mantle enriched in incompatible elements during the Precambrian, or Precambrian materials of the continental crust. A quartz-rich xenolith found in the Columbia lavas has Rb-Sr and Sm Nd model ages of ≈ 1.4Æ, implying the existence of old, isotopically evolved crustal basement which could serve as contaminant. Nevertheless, crustal contamination alone cannot explain the chemical variation of the samples studied, and other fractionation processes must have occurred simultaneously. A model involving combined assimilation and crystal fractionation reproduces the chemical and isotopic characteristics of the volumetrically dominant Grande Ronde unit for an assumed crystallizing component of plagioclase, low calcium pyroxene and minor olivine. The data are not consistent with the suggestion that a ‘primordial’ mantle is the source for this continental flood basalt province. Rather they suggest that the main volume of these lavas was originally derived from a mantle similar in isotopic composition to island arc and ocean island basalts of the north Pacific. The primary magma was modified chemically and isotopically by crystal fractionation and assimilation of sialic crustal materials during its transport through, or storage in the continental crust.  相似文献

The methods used for precise calibrations of SmNd ratios and the average isotopic abundances obtained for normal Sm and Nd are given. A mixed Sm-Nd normal solution with a precisely known 147Sm144Nd ratio close to the nominal average chondritic value is described and the calibration discussed. Aliquots of this standard solution are available on request and may be useful for precise interlaboratory calibration of Sm and Nd.  相似文献

Nine samples of metavolcanic rock from the lower parts of greenstone belts in central French Guiana (the Paramaca series) and 14 granitic samples from the intrusive gneisses (the Degrad Roche and Arawa gneisses) were selected for Sm—Nd and Rb—Sr analysis. The Sm—Nd results from the metavolcanic series (including two tholeiites, five peridotitic komatiites and two andesites) yield an isochron age of 2.11±0.09 (2 σ) Ga with an initial 143Nd144Nd ratio (INd) of 0.51002±9 (2 σ), corresponding to ?Nd(T) = + 2.1 ± 1.8. This isochron is interpreted as representing the age of initial volcanism of the Paramaca series. Acid intrusives were dated by the Rb—Sr method. A whole rock Rb—Sr isochron, including data points from both the Degrad Roche and Arawa gneisses, yields an age of 2.00±0.07 (2 σ) Ga with initial 87Sr86Sr ratio (ISr value) of 0.7019±4 (2 σ). This result is considered to be the time of emplacement of the orthogneiss protoliths. The positive εNd value (+ 2.1 ± 1.8) obtained from the metavolcanic rocks of French Guiana suggests that their mantle sources have evolved in reservoirs slightly depleted in Light Rare Earth Elements (LREE). This result confirms the possible existence of ancient LREE-depleted reservoirs within the lower Proterozoic mantle. Moreover, the high εNd(T) value for these rocks excludes any significant crustal contamination during magma genesis. The French Guianese orthogneisses yield a low ISr value (0.7019±4 (2 σ)) which, together with geochemical considerations, suggests that their granitic protoliths could have originated by partial melting of short-lived crustal precursors of basaltic to granodioritic composition. The present geochronological and isotopic study suggests that the Guiana Shield may represent a major continental accretion event during the lower Proterozoic.  相似文献

Current methods for evaluating Sm-Nd isochron data determine initial ?Nd (?Ndi) values by extrapolation to 147Sm144Nd = 0, resulting in unnecessarily large uncertainties. It is shown that values of ?Ndi can be optimised by determining the present 143Nd144Nd composition of a hypothetical sample having chrondritic SmNd. This method of determination requires only a simple data translation for its implementation using standard line-fitting techniques, and is particularly advantageous in providing precise ?Ndi values for sample suites of limited compositional range close to chondritic SmNd.A method of constructing error (uncertainty) polygons appropriate to the optimised (?Ndi, T) values is discussed, and optimum?Ndi values are tabulated for all published Precambrian Sm-Nd isochrons.  相似文献

A study was undertaken to determine the chronology of a pristine granite clast (1062) from Apollo 14 breccia 14321 using Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd and 39Ar-40Ar methods. The genesis of the granite as constrained by the isotopic results and trace element characteristics is discussed.Chronology: The Rb-Sr internal isochron is slightly disturbed and yields an age of 4.09 ± 0.11 AE (λ(87Rb) = 0.0139 AE?1) and an imprecise initial I(Sr) = 0.702 ? .008. If two data are excluded, the age becomes 4.13 ± 0.03 AE and I(Sr) = 0.698 ? .003. The whole rock and mineral separates are extremely radiogenic; they yield model ages which are relatively well-defined. The average model age is 4.12 ± 0.03 AE (relative to BABI = 0.69898). The Sm-Nd internal isochron is also slightly disturbed and gives an age of 4.11 ± 0.20 AE (λ(147Sm) = 0.00654 AE?1). The 39Ar-40Ar average age of the non-magnetic fraction of the sample yields a slightly younger age of 3.88 ± 0.03 AE (K-Ar constants from Steiger and >a?, 1977). The concordancy of Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd internal isochrons with the Rb-Sr model age strongly suggests that the granitic clast formed at 4.1 AE ago in the shallow crust and was later excavated and brecciated about 3.88 AE ago.Petrogenesis: Isotopic and trace element data of the lunar granite show large K/La and Rb/Sr fractionations, small Sm/Nd fractionation and the distinct V-shaped REE distribution pattern at the time of crystallization. A two-stage model involving crystal fractionation followed by silicate liquid immiscibility (SLI) is proposed for lunar granite genesis. We propose that the granite can be the immiscible acidic liquid produced by SLI from a residual liquid which underwent fractionation of ca, 3% of phases with REE distribution coefficients similar to those of phosphate minerals from a highly evolved parental magma with REE contents about twice those of the 15405,85 quartz monzodiorite (QMD).The extreme scarcity of lunar granitic samples and their young formation ages suggest that they are probably not directly crystallized from the differentiation of the primordial magma ocean. Our isotopic results and trace elements data from other workers suggest that granites, QMD and probably Mggabbronorites may be genetically related and may have formed in a plutonic environment similar to gabbro-granophyre associations in terrestrial layered intrusions such as the Skaergaard Intrusions.  相似文献

The Hidra Massif (Rogaland complex, S.W. Norway) is a massif-type anorthositic-charnockitic body. It consists of undeformed anorthosites and leuconorites, grading into fine-grained jotunites at the contact with the granulite facies gneisses of the metamorphic envelope. A stockwork of charnockitic dykes cross-cuts the massif. The Pb isotopic compositions of the anorthosites and leuconorites are comparable or slightly less radiogenic than those of the jotunites (206Pb204Pb from 18.079 to 19.307,(207Pb204Pb from 15.568 to 15.657 and 208Pb204Pb from 37.617 to 38.493). These values are compatible with an upper mantle origin for the parental magma of jotunitic composition and for the plagioclasic cumulates, but show the incorporation of lower crustal material (U-depleted and thus less radiogenic). The charnockitic dykes have significantly less radiogenic Pb isotopic compositions (206Pb204Pb from 17.472 to 19.171, 207Pb204Pb from 15.489 to 15.620and 208Pb204Pb from 36.991 to 40.922) which can be explained by a larger proportion of lower crustal contamination material. The contaminant could be the granulite facies gneisses of the metamorphic envelope. This interpretation is compatible with the K-Rb relationships of these rocks and with the O and Sr isotopic geochemistry. The proportion of contaminating lead in the charnockitic dykes can be estimated at 55 ± 15% considering the border facies jotunite as the uncontaminated parental magma and the least radiogenic gneiss of the metamorphic envelope as the contaminant.  相似文献

Cold Bay and Amak Island, two Quaternary volcanic centers in the eastern Aleutians, are orthogonal relative to the trench and separated by ~50 km. Sr, Nd and Pb isotopic compositions of the calc-alkaline andesite magmas show no sign of contamination from continental crust (average 87Sr86Sr = 0.70323, 143Nd144Nd = 0.51301, 206Pb204Pb = 18.82, 207Pb204Pb = 15.571). These samples plot within the mantle arrays for Sr-Nd and for Pb and are similar to arcs such as the Marianas and New Britain (Sr-Nd) and Marianas and Tonga (Pb). Incompatible element ratios for the Aleutian andesites (K/Rb ~ 332, K/Cs ~ 10,600, K/Sr ~ 22.4, K/Ba ~ 18.3, Ba/La ~ 60) are within the range reported for arc basalts, despite the difference in degree of fractionation.Average K content, K/Rb, K/Ba and K/Sr are approximately the same for basalts from arcs and from oceanic islands (OIB); K/Cs is a factor of 4 lower and Ba/La almost 3 times higher in arcs. Abundance ratio correlations indicate that arcs are enriched in Cs and depleted in La relative to OIB, with other incompatible element abundances very similar. Histograms of Sr and Nd isotopic compositions for MORB, OIB, and intraoceanic arcs show remarkably similar peaks and distribution patterns for intraoceanic arcs and OIB.A “plum pudding” model for the upper mantle best accommodates a) geochemical coherence of OIB and IAV, b) the existence of mantle plumes at some oceanic islands, and c) the presence of a MORB-type source at back arc spreading centers. In this model, OIB plums are imbedded in a MORB matrix; small degrees of melting generate OIB-type magmas while larger degrees of melting dilute the OIB magma with MORB matrix melts.OIB plums are merely less robust lower mantle plumes (i.e., blobs) which are distributed throughout the upper mantle by convection. The existence of at least two types of OIB, as indicated by Sr, Nd, and Pb isotopes, suggests that nuggets of recycled oceanic lithosphère may coexist with lower-mantle plums and that both may be tapped in arcs and intraplate environments.  相似文献

Combined elemental and Sr, Nd, Pb and O isotopic data for late Cenozoic olivine tholeiite lavas from the northwestern Great Basin indicate derivation from at least two chemically and isotopically distinct mantle source regions with no significant modification by interaction with continental crust. The lack of crustal involvement is a direct reflection of the extensional tectonic environment which favors rapid ascent of magmas, minimal residence time in crustal magma chambers and scattered fissure eruptions. The observed chemical and isotopic variations in the tholeiite suite are attributed to mixing between depleted oceanic type mantle (87Sr86Sr ~ 0.7030 and 143Nd144Nd ~ 0.51305) and old, chemically heterogeneous, isotopically enriched subcontinental mantle (87Sr86Sr ~ 0.7078 and 143Nd144Nd ~ 0.51233). Model incompatible element concentrations suggest strong similarities between the depleted mantle and the mantles beneath normal oceanic ridge segments and back-arc basins and between the enriched mantle and the mantle beneath enriched oceanic ridge segments such as the Azores. Superimposed upon the characteristics derived from the two component mixing model may be the effects of a third mantle source which is identifiable only by its apparent radiogenic 206Pb204Pb ratios. If present, this third source may reflect a component derived from the downgoing slab of an ancient subduction zone.  相似文献

Size fractions <5 μm of Fithian illite were treated with 1 N HCl, H+- from cation-exchange resin, and 5% NH4-EDTA-solution, and analyzed for their Rb-Sr isotopic composition. In comparison to the effects of HCl, the ion-exchange resin leached the same amount of Sr, but significantly less Rb and radiogenic 87Sr from poorly-crystallized 1 M illite. An age of 284 ± 8 Ma (I.R. 0.7109 ± 6 is more or less in agreement with the Missourian (Stephanian) age of deposition. The agreement is fortuitous because of the presence of small amounts of detrital 2 M illite and kaolinite, thus the true age of diagenesis might be somewhat less.87Sr86Sr ratio measurements of Tithonian Solnhofen limestone demonstrate that, even though the silicate component constitutes less than 5% of the total, the majority of the radiogenic 87Sr is leached from “broken-bond” surfaces of the nearly pure kaolinite-residues during the HCl treatment. Ion-exchange and EDTA treatment can be useful in this situation to obtain a precise separation of environmental Sr (in carbonate) from radiogenic 87Sr (in silicates), and an adequate spread of RbSr values from argillaceous fine fractions in the construction of isochrons.  相似文献

Tertiary-Recent Tasmanian and Newer (Victoria/South Australia) basalts range from quartz tholeiite to olivine melilitite and show systematic increases in their incompatible element abundances with increasing degree of silica undersaturation. These two basalt provinces show similar relative abundances of rare earth elements (REE), differences in the relative concentrations of Rb, Ba, Th, K and Nb, and distinct, restricted isotopic compositions. The Tasmanian basalts have 87Sr86Sr from 0.7026 to 0.7034, and ?Nd from + 7.5 to + 5.8; the Newer basalts have higher 87Sr86Sr from 0.7038 to 0.7045, and lower ?Nd from +4.2 to + 1.7. The range in Sr and Nd isotope compositions can be denned by primary magma compositions for both provinces, using Mg-values, Ni content and the presence of spinel lherzolite nodules. Major and trace element and Sr, Nd and Pb isotope compositions are uniform on a scale of up to 50 km for four separate Newer basanite centers. The chemical and isotopic data are consistent with a model whereby tholeiitic basalts are derived by large degrees of partial melting from a chemically uniform but isotopically variable source, and generation of undersaturated, alkaline basalts by smaller degrees of partial melting of the same source. No isotopic or geochemical evidence was found which would suggest that the more evolved basalts have been contaminated by continental crust. In contrast to tholeiitic and alkalic basalts from Hawaii, there is a continuous spectrum of isotope compositions for the Newer tholeiitic to alkalic basalts. A model is proposed for the generation of these basalts involving mixtures of hotspot mantle plume-derived melt and lithospheric mantle-derived melt, where observed differences between ocean island and continental alkaline basalts are attributed to differences between the sub-oceanic and sub-continental lithospheric mantles. Isotopic differences between tholeiitic and alkalic basalts are interpreted to be due to varying degrees of exchange and mixing between the hotspot plume and lithospheric mantle melt components. The model is consistent with the generation of these basalts from a source which has been recently enriched in the LREE.  相似文献

To better understand the process of crustal contamination/assimilation, 23 Pb isotopic compositions and 12 concentrations have been measured on lavas and basement rocks from the Edgecumbe volcanic field, SE Alaska. Measured isotopic ratios have the following ranges: 206Pb204Pb = 18.477–19.161; 207Pb204Pb = 15.562–15.679; 208Pb204Pb = 38.17–38.85. While the data form well-constrained linear arrays on Pb-Pb diagrams, no simple correlation exists with major element composition. Basaltic lavas (≤ 51 wt% SiO2) are characterized by two isotopic groups. The olivine basalt (≤ 48% SiO2) is more radiogenic than the plagioclase basalt (48–51%) which also shows more heterogeneity. In the silica range 52–55%, Pb isotopic ratios increase significantly but remain fairly constant in the range 55–70% SiO2. Lead concentrations vary from 1 ppm in the basalts to 7 ppm in the rhyodacites. Analyzed basement rocks are more radiogenic than any of the lavas (206Pb204Pb = 19.20; 207Pb204Pb = 15.65; 208Pb204Pb = 38.86. The Pb isotopic data are qualitatively consistent with the contamination process described by Myerset al. (1984). However, because of fundamental differences in the mixing relations between the Sr system studied earlier and the Pb system, the new Pb data have revealed details of the process not apparent from the Sr data alone. In particular, it has been shown that the parent magma was more primitive than originally assumed, and that two contamination events are recorded in the lavas. The first event, involving a mafic parent and different crustal contaminants, produced the intermediate and siliceous hybrids in cupolas located above the main basaltic chamber. The types of country rock intruded as well as the degree of partial fusion achieved in individual cupolas controlled the range of hybrid compositions produced while the eruption sequence was determined by the order in which the cupolas were tapped. The second contamination event produced the plagioclase basalt, the most voluminous basaltic unit, by mixing the mafic parent with the olivine basalt, an independent, primary magma. Our results suggest crustal contamination models that assume bulk assimilation of crustal end members may be too simplistic.  相似文献

The Luna 16 materials were dated by the Rb-Sr method. An internal isochron age of 3.4 ± 0.2 has been determined for a 6 mg fragment. The Luna 16 total soil is poorer in radiogenic Sr than any other analyzed soil from the Moon. Apollo 14 and 15 soils have also been studied; all of them fall nearly on a 4.65 b.y. isochron with the ADOR initial 87Sr86Sr ratio.A comparison of the integrated RbSr of the basalt source region and the RbSr of the rocks suggests that these basaltic fragments have been generated with only minor RbSr fractionation. The existence of an old Rb-rich subcrust which contaminated the basalts is also in agreement with the present results.  相似文献

The isotopic composition of Sr has been measured in brine samples from the Upper Jurassic Smackover Formation in southern Arkansas; 87Sr86Sr ratios range from 0.7071 to 0.7101. With one exception, the 32 Smackover brines contain Sr which is significantly more radiogenic than the Sr in Late Jurassic sea water, indicating sizable Sr contributions from detrital sources. Isotopic analyses of core samples from rock units associated with the brines and regional stratigraphic relationships suggest that the radiogenic Sr was released from detrital minerals in Bossier shale to interstitial fluids expelled from the underlying Louann Salt in the North Louisiana salt basin. These fluids migrated through the Bossier Formation updip to the South Arkansas shelf, where they entered the upper Smackover carbonate grainstone. The radiogenic fluids mixed with Sr-rich interstitial marine waters that had the isotopic composition of Late Jurassic sea water; mixing in variable proportions resulted in the random distribution pattern of variable 87Sr86Sr ratios that is observed in Smackover brines within the 5000 km2 study area. Isotopic analyses of nonskeletal carbonate grains and coexisting coarse calcspar cement from the upper Smackover grainstone imply that the grains were diagenetically stabilized in the presence of interstitial marine waters, whereas the calcspar cement is a relatively late diagenetic phase precipitated after the arrival of radiogenic fluids.  相似文献

Twelve samples of mid-Tertiary felsic volcanic rocks from Zacatecas and San Luis Potosí (both belonging to the Sierra Madre Occidental) and one sample of Lower Tertiary porphyritic andesite from Zacatecas are analyzed for 87Sr86Sr, K, Rb, and Sr. Eight selected samples are also analyzed for 143Nd144Nd. A linear regression of the present-day 87Sr86Srand87Rb86Sr of the felsic volcanic rocks in Zacatecas gives an approximate date of 30 ± 8 Ma. The initial 87Sr86Sr ratios are high and widely distributed (from 0.705 to 0.712 or higher) whereas the initial 143Nd144Nd ratios are somewhat low and show a narrow range (0.5125–0.5127). The available isotopic and trace-element data are best explained in terms of a binary mixing model in which the magmas derived from a slightly depleted-mantle fractionate and mix with varying proportions of the overlying middle/upper continental crust and undergo further shallow-level fractional crystallization before eruption. This model is also compatible with the trace-element and Sr isotopic data published from other areas of the Sierra Madre Occidental for which a purely mantle origin has been proposed.  相似文献

A study was undertaken to determine the chronology, petrogenesis and relationships among the shergottites, Shergotty and Zagami and the unique achondrite ALHA77005. These meteorites are the product of a variety of complex processes.Petrogenesis: Chondrite-normalized abundance patterns of Shergotty and Zagami are very similar and show pronounced depletions of both the light REE (La-Nd) and heavy REE (Dy-Lu) relative to Sm-Gd. These characteristic depletions are even more pronounced for ALHA77005. The light REE depletion is qualitatively consistent with the presence of cumulus pyroxene and/or olivine in these meteorites, but trace element models show that the parental magmas of all three meteorites were probably also light REE depleted. Both trace element model calculations and combined Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd isotopic systematics show that the meteorites could not have been co-magmatic nor can ALHA77005 be representative of the source material of the shergottites. Light REE depletion of the parental magmas also implies light REE depletion of the source material. The Sm-Nd systematics of the shergottites require a time-averaged sub-chondritic (light REE enriched) Sm-Nd ratio since 4.6 AE ago. The Sm-Nd systematics of ALHA77005 permit a time-averaged super-chondritic (light REE depleted) Sm/Nd ratio if its crystallization age is less than TICE = 0.72 AE.Chronology. Rb-Sr internal isochrons for all three meteorites and a Sm-Nd internal isochron for Zagami are concordant at ~ 180 Myr. 39Ar-40Ar plateau ages of Shergotty and Zagami maskelynite are ~250–260 Myr. These ages apparently reflect resetting of these isotopic systems by shock metamorphism which converted the feldspar to maskelynite. The concordance of these ages suggests a single shock event during which the meteorites were in close physical proximity. The time of this event is most precisely given by the Rb-Sr age of 180 ± 4 Myr for Zagami. The crystallization ages of the meteorites were not precisely determined. Extreme upper limits are determined by Sm-Nd model ages relative to an eucrite initial 143Nd144Nd = 0.505835 at 4.6 AE ago. These model ages for Shergotty, Zagami and ALHA77005 are 3600, 3500 and 2850 Myr, respectively. The Sm-Nd whole rock age of 1340 ± 60 Myr for the three meteorites gives the crystallization age if the Sm/Nd ratios of the precursor materials were always the same. We consider this 1340 Myr age as a “best estimate” upper limit. “Best estimate” lower limits for Shergotty and Zagami are taken from the average 39Ar-40Ar ages of 1200 and 900 Myr of pyroxene separates. The average 39Ar-40Ar age of a whole rock sample of ALHA77005 was 1600 Myr and can be partitioned between a low temperature (feldspar) phase and a high temperature (olivine + pyroxene + inclusions) “phase”. The average apparent 39Ar-40Ar age of the low temperature phase is ~1050 Myr, which is chosen as the “best estimate” lower limit to the age. The crystallization ages of Shergotty, Zagami and ALHA77005 probably lie within the ranges of 1200–1300, 900–1300 and 1000–1300 Myr, respectively. The Rb-Sr whole rock age of 4400 ± 400 Myr and single-stage BABI model ages of ~4800–5100 Myr are interpreted as reflecting differentiation of the parent body at ~4600 Myr ago.The complex geochemical and isotopic evolution recorded by these meteorites suggests a geologically active parent body capable of sustaining melting at two or more epochs in its history.  相似文献
