--In a sand-covered granite terrain of northwestern Rajasthan, India, a five-frequency HLEM survey along a 10-km traverse line generated several clear and strong anomalies. Subjected to a joint constrained 1-D layered earth inversion, the IP and OP frequency soundings at each point of observation yields either no solution or one which is inconsistent with the adjacent point. On the other hand, a 3-D model fitting of these anomalies with a tabular body in a layered host leads to a more meaningful interpretation, suggesting the presence of (1) pockets of weathered conductive material and (2) resistive intruding dykes, embedded in a semi-weathered layer, as the cause of the observed anomalies. The locations of weathered pockets are probably determined by pre-existing weak structures such as joints, fractures and faults, which facilitated movement of groundwater and hence weathering. Thus covered features deep in the bedrock such as intrusives, joints, fractures and faults, which are not directly detectable by the HLEM method, being under a more conductive overburden, are indirectly detected through their imprints left in the overlying weathering profile.  相似文献

为了探索我国海域油气和水合物等高阻目标体CSEM勘探的可行性和方法技术,本文研究了在海水中水平电性源激励下有限水深海洋地电模型的频率域电磁响应,为进一步的1D和3D仿真计算奠定了理论基础.在推导电磁响应公式时,首先给出了各层介质的Lorentz势,然后根据Coulomb势与Lorentz势的关系,得到了各层介质的Coulomb势.各层介质中的电磁场均可以由Lorentz势或者Coulomb势计算得到,但在有限元计算时Coulomb势具有优势.长导线源的电磁场和势函数可以由电偶源的电磁场和势函数沿导线长度积分得到.文中具体给出了海水中水平电偶源和长导线源在海水层的电磁场公式,并根据该公式计算了不同水深环境下海底表面的电磁场分布,分析了海水深度对海底油气储层电磁异常的影响.结果表明,随着水深减小,异常幅度和形态特征发生明显变化.当水深很浅时(如50 m),只有同线方向的Ex和Ez两个电场分量存在明显异常.最后,以两个已知海底油田为例,计算了不同水深环境下可观测到的电场异常,展示了电性源频率域CSEM在海底勘探中(包括浅海环境)的良好应用前景.对于该方法实用化过程中还需进一步解决的问题,文中结尾部分也进行了初步探讨.  相似文献

The controlled source extremely low frequency (CSELF) electromagnetic method is characterized by extremely long and powerful sources and a huge measurement range. Its electromagnetic field can therefore be affected by the ionosphere and displacement current. Research on 3D forward modeling and inversion of CSELF electromagnetic data is currently in its infancy. This paper makes exploratory attempts to firstly calculate the 1D extremely low frequency electromagnetic field under ionosphere-air-earth coupling circumstances, and secondly analyze the propagation characteristics of the background electromagnetic field. The 3D staggered-grid finite difference scheme for solving for the secondary electric field is adopted and incorporated with the 1D modeling algorithm to complete 3D forward modeling. Considering that surveys can be carried out in the near field and transition zone for lower frequencies, the 3D Limited-memory Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno (LBFGS) inversion of CSELF electromagnetic data is presented (in which the sources, or primary fields, are included), with the aim of directly inverting the impedance data, regardless of where it is acquired. Derivation of the objective functional gradient is the core component in the inversion. Synthetic tests indicate that the well-chosen approximation to the Hessian can significantly speed up the inversion. The model responses corresponding to the coexistence of conductive and resistive blocks show that the off-diagonal components of tensor impedance are much more sensitive to the resistivity variation than the diagonal components. In comparison with conventional scalar inversion, tensor inversion is superior in the recoveries of electric anomalies and background resistivity.  相似文献

ERT and SP investigations were conducted in carbonate rocks of the Dinant Synclinorium (Walloon Region of Belgium) to find suitable locations for new water wells in zones with little hydrogeological data. Since boreholes information needed to be representative of the area, large fractured zones were searched for the drillings. Large ERT profiles (320 to 640 m) allowed us to image the resistivity distribution of the first 60 m of the subsurface and to detect and characterize (in terms of direction, width and depth) fractured zones expected to be less resistive. Data errors, depth of investigation (DOI) indexes and sensitivity models were analyzed in order to avoid a misinterpretation of the resulting images. Self-potential measurements were performed along electrical profiles to complement our electrical results. Some negative anomalies possibly related to preferential flow pathways were detected. A drilling campaign was conducted according to geophysical results. ‘Ground truth’ geological data as well as pumping tests information gave us a way to assess the contribution of geophysics to a drilling program. We noticed that all the wells placed in low resistivity zones associated with SP anomalies provide very high yields and inversely, wells drilled in resistive zones or outside SP anomalies are limited in terms of capacity. An apparent coupling coefficient between SP signals and differences in hydraulic heads was also estimated in order to image the water table.  相似文献

The electrical method presented is used for determining the resistivity of lake-bottom sediments and is based on the d.c. electrical sounding principles. The electrode array, called the fishing rod (FR), is of pole-pole type and is orientated vertically on a line perpendicular to the surface of the water. The technique is used for mapping resistivity anomalies located deep underwater. This paper presents an analysis of the resolution capabilities of the FR method and the results of a case study carried out in Lake Geneva, where measurements were interpreted using a one-dimensional (1D) multilayer earth model. The analysis of the uncertainty in the model parameters of a 1D multilayer earth model is carried out using the covariance matrix of the linearized inversion problem. The results of the analyses show that when the thickness and resistivity of the water layer is known, the resistivity of the sediment layer is well determined under most circumstances. The thickness of the sediment layer is well determined when resistivity contrasts are not too low. In Lake Geneva the FR method has been used to study an old depression with a resistive channel. This application shows the efficiency of the method compared with conventional electrical methods, where water depth becomes a limiting factor. The use of an automated iterative inversion scheme in this particular case is advantageous, as a joint interpretation of the three different data sets measured with the FR method can be carried out. Finally, the result of the inversion is compared with the trial-and-error interpretations of a previous study.  相似文献

为了充分提取与挖掘储层结构及构造信息在时间(深度)和空间上的多尺度特征,构造了一种新的三维多尺度体曲率分析方法,并给出了三维体曲率快速提取算法。与常规的体曲率方法相比,本文方法的改进主要体现在以下两个方面:①在体曲率分析中引入时频域分频展开和对应的空间波数域多尺度自适应微分算子,可同时在时间和空间上反映地震信息的多尺度特征;②将不同尺度的体曲率数据进行有机融合,充分利用了不同尺度曲率异常信息,同时突出有效异常,降低噪声影响,为体曲率属性解释奠定基础。利用该方法处理了陆上和海上三维地震资料,实现了对储层展布、断层及裂缝发育带的检测及多尺度特征的有效刻画。  相似文献

The lithosphere of the South American continent has been studied little, especially in northern Brazil (the Amazonian region). A 3D lithospheric S-velocity model of South America was obtained by first carrying out Rayleigh and Love wave group-velocity tomography, and then inverting the regionalized dispersion curves. Fundamental mode group velocities were measured using a Multiple Filtering Technique. More than 12,000 paths were examined and about 6000 Rayleigh- and 3500 Love-wave dispersion curves with good quality were retrieved. Checkerboard tests showed that our dataset permits the resolution of features 400-800 km across laterally in the central part of the continent from crustal to upper mantle depths. Our results confirm previous tomographic results and correlate well with the major geological provinces of South America. The 3D S-velocity model confirms both regional features of SE Brazil from P-wave travel-time tomography and continental-scale features of central and western South America from waveform inversion, e.g., lowest velocities in the Andean upper mantle; three parts of the Nazca plate with flat subduction; strong low-velocity anomalies in the upper-mantle depth beneath the Chaco basin. Furthermore, our 3D model revealed new features in the South American continent: (1) high velocities in the lower crust were consistently found in regions with high Bouguer or free-air anomalies; (2) the NE-SW trending TransBrasiliano shear zone was delineated by a NE-SW low-velocity belt at lithospheric depths; (3) the eastern Amazonian craton appears to have thicker lithosphere than the western craton; (4) in areas of Archean nuclei located in the northeastern Guaporé shield and southeastern São Francisco craton, high velocity anomalies were found down to 150 km.  相似文献

In order to better understand seismic structure and seismotectonics of the entire arc of Tohoku and Hokkaido in Japan, we combined arrival time data from earthquakes beneath Tohoku and Hokkaido land areas, and beneath the Pacific Ocean to determine the three-dimensional (3D) velocity structures (Vp and Vs) under the entire Northeast (NE) Japan-Kuril arc. We adopted 176,431 P-wave and 110,953 S-wave arrival times, from 5123 local earthquakes, and 2843 sP depth-phase data from 385 events that occurred beneath the Pacific Ocean. The 385 suboceanic events were accurately relocated by using P-wave, S-wave and sP depth-phase arrival time data jointly. The obtained results confirmed the major features delineated by previous studies and revealed some new features of the structural heterogeneity beneath NE Japan and the Kuril forearcs. High-velocity anomalies of the cold subducting Pacific slab and low-velocity anomalies in the hot mantle wedge were imaged clearly. Strong lateral heterogeneities were revealed on the upper boundary of the Pacific slab under the forearc region, which showed a good correlation with the spatial distribution of large interplate earthquakes. These results indicated that strong coupling sections (or asperities) and weak-coupled or decoupled patches might exist along the upper boundary of the Pacific slab. Widespread low-velocity anomalies were visible in the forearc mantle above the subducting Pacific slab, which might reflect serpentinization of the forearc mantle associated with the dehydration process of the subducting slab. Our results also showed a general tendency for seismic coupling in the asperities to be located around low-velocity areas on the slab boundary under the suboceanic region.  相似文献

Self-potential anomalies with unexplained high values have been observed in various places. Such anomalies were reported in Peru more than 30 years ago. An explanation is proposed based on the electrokinetic effect obtained when a topographic high occurs above a rock layer through which water filtrates and which itself lies over a highly resistive layer. In such a case a fairly high self-potential may occur. Conversely, when one of these conditions is not met, the self-potential anomaly at the earth's surface resulting from the electrokinetic effect is strongly attenuated.  相似文献

Conventional electrical prospecting can be extended to the search for deep-seated hydrocarbon deposits, by using the steel casings of drill-holes as vertical line sources. These sources produce at depth a density of current higher than the density created by point sources located at the ground surface. Several tests have shown that the contrast of conductivity between resistive hydrocarbon deposits and the surrounding salt water produces relevant anomalies on a resistivity map obtained with vertical line sources, especially where there exists a superficial masking effect caused by a highly resistive layer. In a survey carried out in the USSR, combined measurements were performed, both with line source and with surface point sources. The detected residual resistivity anomaly roughly delineates the contours of the known hydrocarbon deposit.  相似文献

Thin sheet-like forms are common target bodies in geoelectric prospecting. Depending on their mineralogy and other factors these bodies may be relatively conductive or relatively resistive with respect to their surroundings. For suitably remote field points (relative to the thickness) these features manifest themselves geoelectrically in terms of their conductivity-thickness product for relatively conductive bodies or in terms of their resistivity-thickness product for resistive forms. While the case of a conductive sheet has received some attention in the geophysical literature, resistive sheets have been largely ignored. Accordingly an efficient technique to model the geoelectric responses of a resistive lamina is presented here. The technique involves representing the lamina in terms of a distribution of normally directed current dipole moment whose density is shown to satisfy an inhomogeneous Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. The technique is rigorously tested in a 2D environment and is shown to produce reliable and suitably accurate results. An application of the method is presented in which the apparent resistivity and chargeability responses measured with a gradient array over a dipping resistive ribbon are computed. These are compared with the responses observed over a relatively conductive ribbon in the same orientation.  相似文献

Long period magnetotelluric soundings are available in a 180-km long WSW–ENE profile across the Alto Paranaíba igneous province, a complex Cretaceous alkaline province situated mostly in the southern Neoproterozoic Brasília fold and thrust belt in central Brazil. The data indicate 3D complexity at upper and mid-crust and a simpler 2D regional structure at lower crustal and upper mantle depths. A 2D inversion emphasizing long period data identifies a highly resistive block at the uppermost mantle below the central part of the profile, surrounded by a rapid decrease in resistivity with depth. Resistivities at the block are typical of dry olivine under upper mantle conditions and a deep cratonic lithosphere is defined for this region. It is proposed that the resistive block is a rheologically enduring structure preserved within a southwestward extension of the pericratonic lithosphere of the Archean–Early Proterozoic São Francisco craton that lies beneath the nappes of the Brasília belt. Lower resistivities at shallower upper mantle depths beneath the Sanfranciscana basin at the northeastern end of the profile can be interpreted either as an increased conductivity within the lithosphere or as a localized thinned out lithosphere. The conductivity enhancement possibly arises from the addition of small amounts of water to mantle anhydrous minerals during previous metasomatic percolations.  相似文献

After decades of research and development, Marine Controlled Source ElectroMagnetics (MCSEM) has come into the application phase for oil and gas exploration. However, presently 3D modeling of MCSEM is far from practical with simple models and much computing time. Based on a forward modeling study of 3D frequency-domain MCSEM over a complicated target body and its sensitivity analysis, we derive a method which can delineate the edges of the resistive reservoir. We use the second derivative of the magnitude versus offset (MVO) curve to define the resistive reservoir edges. For the air-wave-dominated far field zone, we suggest using the less affected apparent resistivities in order to improve the adaptability of the method.  相似文献

VLF wave impedance measurements have been successfully used to detect air-filled drainage galleries near the town of Alcala, Spain. The galleries are detectable by H-polarization electric field measurements due to the electric field anomalies associated with the galleries and overlying gravel deposits. The forced deviation of the primary current flowlines around the 2D void results in a higher-than-normal apparent resistivity and a relative phase low above the gallery. The findings support earlier theoretical predictions that at very low frequencies (VLFs), galvanic current effects may dominate over vortex currents in moderately conductive terrains. Theoretical modelling confirmed that for a resistive target no detectable E-polarization response can be expected from either magnetic or electric field measurements since current line deviations and vortex effects are negligible under such circumstances. The results demonstrate the importance of using at least two orthogonal VLF transmitters in order that anomalies arising from both galvanic and inductive effects may be identified, irrespective of orientation.  相似文献

Expanding the frequency spectrum in marine CSEM applications   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper we show how marine controlled source electromagnetic data interpretation can be improved if the data are acquired with an expanded frequency spectrum. Especially in the case of targets located at a wide range of depths, both high- and low-frequency data can provide useful information for improving the risk analysis associated with different prospects with variable size and depth. We discuss an application to a real data set acquired in deep water offshore Nigeria using two values of fundamental frequency: 0.05 Hz and 0.25 Hz. Both frequencies, together with higher frequency harmonics, have been used for multi-frequency and multi-dimensional modelling and inversion with excellent results.
At the end of the interpretation work, areas with different electric and magnetic anomalies were mapped and quantitatively interpreted in terms of resistivity distribution in the 3D space. Relatively high-frequency data (0.25 Hz and the first two harmonics) were useful for constraining the shallowest part of the resistivity models, including the presence of thin resistive layers, such as the gas sand recognized in correspondence of the well previously drilled in the NW portion of the block.
Low-frequency data (0.05 Hz) were useful for constraining the deepest portion of the models (from 2 km to 4 km below sea floor) and for characterizing the resistivity of the background.
From an exploration point of view, the whole workflow based on multi-frequency data analysis of this electromagnetic data set was very useful for further de-risking the different prospects previously individuated in the area using seismic information.  相似文献

利用区域固定台站和华北科学探测台阵记录的10 461个近震事件的183 909个Pg波绝对走时和495 753个相对走时数据,采用双差地震层析成像获得华北北部(37.5°~41.5°N,111.5°~119.5°E)范围内的地壳三维P波速度结构模型。结果表明:研究区内各主要构造单元具有明显不同的速度结构特征,速度异常的走向与区域构造的走向一致,浅层速度图像很好地反映了地表地质和岩性的变化;重定位后的大部分地震集中在0~20km的深度上,主要位于低速区的内部或高速和低速区的交界部位;三河—平谷和唐山地震震源区中、下地壳的低速异常可能是流体的显示。结合前人成果和本文模型所揭示的深、浅结构,我们认为太平洋板块在中国东部之下的俯冲和滞留引起板块脱水、软流圈物质上涌等一系列过程,软流圈热物质到达上地幔顶部并沿超壳断裂上侵进入地壳,致使上地幔顶部和下地壳中的含水矿物发生脱水作用产生流体,流体继续上移造成中、上地壳发震层的弱化,从而导致大地震的发生。因此华北北部地区的强震活动,以及地壳结构的非均匀性应是与太平洋板块俯冲、滞留引起的深部过程密切相关的。  相似文献

为更好地处理与解释复杂海底地形条件下测得的海洋可控源电磁数据,本文提出了一种基于非结构网格剖分的频率域海洋可控源电磁数据三维正则化反演方法.该方法首先对海洋地电模型以非结构四面体单元进行离散,然后基于矢量有限元方法获得海洋可控源电磁响应和灵敏度信息,最后采用共轭梯度法求解高斯-牛顿反演方程计算模型修正量.为提高反演的稳定性,通过在反演过程中采用对数转换方法实现反演模型参数的上下限约束.本文分别测试了单测线水平海底地形反演算例和面积性测量的起伏海底地形反演算例.反演结果表明,本文提出的频率域海洋可控源电磁三维反演能够准确地恢复高阻储油层的位置和电阻率信息,且计算效率较高,可用于实测海洋电磁资料的处理与解释.  相似文献

本文给出了在球层模型下,地球岩石层对表面荷载响应的解析解。计算了地球岩石层对圆盘形荷载和正弦型荷载的响应,及由此产生的重力异常。结果表明:1.岩石层弯曲不仅与其厚度有密切关系,而且与荷载尺度有关。当岩石层厚度与荷载尺度相比很小时,其弯曲与厚度关系不大,并呈现薄板效应。2.弹性模型岩石层在外加荷载下能承受数千巴的弯曲应力。3.弯曲应力在岩石层中的分布较为规则。由于大尺度荷载下岩石层出现薄板效应,传统的由弯曲刚度估算等效岩石层厚度的部分结果需要重新估价。  相似文献
