It is known that the dynamical orbit determination is the most common way to get the precise orbits of spacecraft. However, it is hard to build up the precise dynamical model of spacecraft sometimes. In order to solve this problem, the technique of the orbit determination with the B-spline approximation method based on the theory of function approximation is presented in this article. In order to verify the effectiveness of this method, simulative orbit determinations in the cases of LEO (Low Earth Orbit), MEO (Medium Earth Orbit), and HEO (Highly Eccentric Orbit) satellites are performed, and it is shown that this method has a reliable accuracy and stable solution. The approach can be performed in both the conventional celestial coordinate system and the conventional terrestrial coordinate system. The spacecraft's position and velocity can be calculated directly with the B-spline approximation method, it needs not to integrate the dynamical equations, nor to calculate the state transfer matrix, thus the burden of calculations in the orbit determination is reduced substantially relative to the dynamical orbit determination method. The technique not only has a certain theoretical significance, but also can serve as a conventional algorithm in the spacecraft orbit determination.  相似文献

This paper investigates the orbit radial stabilization of a two-craft virtual Coulomb structure about circular orbits and at Earth–Moon libration points. A generic Lyapunov feedback controller is designed for asymptotically stabilizing an orbit radial configuration about circular orbits and collinear libration points. The new feedback controller at the libration points is provided as a generic control law in which circular Earth orbit control form a special case. This control law can withstand differential solar perturbation effects on the two-craft formation. Electrostatic Coulomb forces acting in the longitudinal direction control the relative distance between the two satellites and inertial electric propulsion thrusting acting in the transverse directions control the in-plane and out-of-plane attitude motions. The electrostatic virtual tether between the two craft is capable of both tensile and compressive forces. Using the Lyapunov’s second method the feedback control law guarantees closed loop stability. Numerical simulations using the non-linear control law are presented for circular orbits and at an Earth–Moon collinear libration point.  相似文献

Lunar Orbital Station (LOS) is proposed as support of manned lunar exploration missions. A fast-converging iteration method for determining the initial conditions of two-impulse transfer trajectories between the Earth and the LOS is proposed based on the patched conic approach. In the Earth phase, near Earth state is connected with the state at the lunar sphere of influence (LSOI) based on the relationship between the initial and terminal orbital state. Then, an analytical algorithm is proposed to find the state vector at LSOI, such to satisfy the LOS orbital constraint. An iterative process is finally adopted to generate favorable initial solutions that satisfy the constraint near the Earth and at the perilune. The algorithm convergence is investigated, and two types of transfer trajectories are found for both Earth-LOS and LOS-Earth transfer. Based on the algorithm, orbital transfer windows, velocity impulse and time of flight are analyzed in the typical years 2025 and 2034. At last, the initial solution is corrected with a high fidelity model based on the active-set method, which shows the precision of this algorithm. The novel procedure for the transfer trajectories design and the analytic result can be used as a basis for rapid mission evaluation and design for future manned lunar missions based on the LOS.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel approach to the robust design of deflection actions for near Earth objects (NEO). In particular, the case of deflection by means of solar-pumped laser ablation is studied here in detail. The basic idea behind laser ablation is that of inducing a sublimation of the NEO surface, which produces a low thrust thereby slowly deviating the asteroid from its initial Earth threatening trajectory. This work investigates the integrated design of the space-based laser system and the deflection action generated by laser ablation under uncertainty. The integrated design is formulated as a multi-objective optimisation problem in which the deviation is maximised and the total system mass is minimised. Both the model for the estimation of the thrust produced by surface laser ablation and the spacecraft system model are assumed to be affected by epistemic uncertainties (partial or complete lack of knowledge). Evidence Theory is used to quantify these uncertainties and introduce them in the optimisation process. The propagation of the trajectory of the NEO under the laser-ablation action is performed with a novel approach based on an approximated analytical solution of Gauss’ variational equations. An example of design of the deflection of asteroid Apophis with a swarm of spacecraft is presented.  相似文献

近年来,GPS/LEO(全球定位系统/低地球轨道)卫星无线电掩星技术给出了地球大气探测的新途径.从LEO卫星观测到的掩星数据可以反演的地球大气的气压、水汽、温度等剖面;它们对气象和大气科学研究,是具有潜在价值的数据资源.掩星数据资料的同化技术可以有效地改进这些气象参数的剖面,从而改进目前的数值天气预报模式.在当前采用的一维变分同化反演技术中,可以用掩星观测资料的大气折射率或弯曲角剖面进行同化,来反演大气水汽和温度剖面以及海平面压强.作为独立自主开发的GPD/LEO掩星技术系统的一部分,以欧洲中尺度天气预报分析(ECMWF)资料为背景场,CHAMP 掩星观测得到的折射率剖面为观测值,采用Levenberg—Marquardt方法实行GPS掩星资料一维变分同化.在讨论中,用掩星观测点附近相应的探空气球资料来检验CHAMP掩星资料变分同化的结果.  相似文献

The problem of designing low-energy transfers between the Earth and the Moon has attracted recently a major interest from the scientific community. In this paper, an indirect optimal control approach is used to determine minimum-fuel low-thrust transfers between a low Earth orbit and a Lunar orbit in the Sun–Earth–Moon Bicircular Restricted Four-Body Problem. First, the optimal control problem is formulated and its necessary optimality conditions are derived from Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle. Then, two different solution methods are proposed to overcome the numerical difficulties arising from the huge sensitivity of the problem’s state and costate equations. The first one consists in the use of continuation techniques. The second one is based on a massive exploration of the set of unknown variables appearing in the optimality conditions. The dimension of the search space is reduced by considering adapted variables leading to a reduction of the computational time. The trajectories found are classified in several families according to their shape, transfer duration and fuel expenditure. Finally, an analysis based on the dynamical structure provided by the invariant manifolds of the two underlying Circular Restricted Three-Body Problems, Earth–Moon and Sun–Earth is presented leading to a physical interpretation of the different families of trajectories.  相似文献

运动学定轨是星载GPS特有的定轨方法,该方法不依赖于任何力学模型(地球重力场、大气阻力及太阳辐射压等),尤其适用于受大气阻力影响严重的低轨卫星定轨.基于双频星载GPS数据,研究了运动学定轨原理,讨论了数据预处理方法,建立了一套非差运动学定轨算法.并以GRACE (Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment)-A、B卫星2008年2月实测数据作为试算验证了本研究方法的有效性和可靠性.GRACE 卫星实测数据计算结果表明:运动学定轨能达到5 cm精度(相对于SLR (Satellite Laser Ranging)),与动力学和简化动力学定轨精度相当.  相似文献

The aero-gravity assist maneuver is here proposed as a tool to improve the efficiency of the gravity assist as, thanks to the interaction with the planetary atmospheres, the angular deviation of the velocity vector can be definitely increased. Even though the drag reduces the spacecraft velocity, the overall Δυ gain could be remarkable whenever a high lift-to-drag vehicle is supposed to fly. Earlier studies offer simplified approaches according to both the dynamics modeling and the atmospheric trajectory constraints. In this paper a 3D dynamical model is adopted and a more realistic L/D performance for the hypersonic vehicle is assumed. Some relevant aspects related to the multidisciplinary design have been considered such as heating rates and structural loads bounding. Comparisons between in and out of plane maneuvering have been performed by assuming, as control variables, either the angle of attack or the bank angle, respectively. The optimal control problem has been solved by selecting a direct method approach. The dynamics has been transcribed into a set of non-linear constraints and the arising non-linear programming problem has been solved with a sequential quadratic programming solver. To gain the global optimum convergence the initial guess has been supplied by solving the same problem by a direct shooting technique and a genetic optimizer.  相似文献

Kepler’s equation needs to be solved many times for a variety of problems in Celestial Mechanics. Therefore, computing the solution to Kepler’s equation in an efficient manner is of great importance to that community. There are some historical and many modern methods that address this problem. Of the methods known to the authors, Fukushima’s discretization technique performs the best. By taking more of a system approach and combining the use of discretization with the standard computer science technique known as dynamic programming, we were able to achieve even better performance than Fukushima. We begin by defining Kepler’s equation for the elliptical case and describe existing solution methods. We then present our dynamic discretization method and show the results of a comparative analysis. This analysis will demonstrate that, for the conditions of our tests, dynamic discretization performs the best.  相似文献

The study of a previously proposed theory of gravitation in flat space-time (Petry, 1981a) is continued. A conservation law for the angular momentum is derived. Additional to the usual form, there must be added a term coming from the spin of the gravitational field. The equations of motion and of spin angular momentum for a spinning test particle in a gravitational field are given. An approximation of the equations of the spin angular momentum in the rest frame of the test particle is studied. For a gyroscope in an orbit of a rotating massive body (e.g., the Earth) the precession of the spin axis agrees with the result of Einstein's general theory of relativity.  相似文献

The ROSETTA spacecraft will fly-by a few asteroids during its course to the final cometary target. The candidate asteroids presently are 3840 Ministrobel (S-type), 2703 Siwa and 140 (C-type).With the limited data presently available on these bodies we calculated some approximate quantities which may be useful to select the fly-by trajectories of the ROSETTA probe. In particular we derived the zones in which particles could stably orbit by analyzing Hills problem of three hierarchical masses—the sun, the asteroid and the orbiting particle. Then, following the approach of Hamilton and Burns, the effects of solar radiation pressure and of the ellipticity of the orbits were also taken into account. In this way for each asteroid we could calculate not only a classical quantity like the radius of the Hill sphere, but also the critical starting orbital distance (as a function of orbital inclination) within which most orbits remain bound to the asteroid, and outside which most escape as a consequence of perturbations. Moreover we determined the orbital stability zone, defined as the union of all the numerically integrated orbits showing long-term stability, for each of the target asteroids. The particular shape of these zones would suggest to have the spacecrafts close approach out of the orbital plane of the asteroids.To further investigate this problem and, in particular, to take into account the irregular shape of the asteroids, we developed a model using a polyhedral representation of the central rotating body, following a theory developed by Werner and Scheeres. 提出了一种适用于天基空间目标光学观测的初始轨道确定新方法. 通过对比地基和天基观测的几何构型, 分析了利用天基光学观测数据进行初轨确定时计算收敛到观测平台自身轨道的原因. 基于轨道半通径方程和改进Gauss方程, 推导出了斜距条件方程组的解析形式, 将天基光学观测的初轨确定问题转换为求解关于观测时刻斜距变量的非线性条件方程组的问题. 利用轨道能量约束减小了解的搜索区域, 消除了方程组的奇点. 最后利用天基实测数据验证并分析了非线性条件方程组根的性质, 利用低轨光学观测平台对低、中、高轨和大椭圆轨道空间目标的仿真观测数据验证了方法的有效性.  相似文献

Although tracking with a passive optical telescope is a powerful technique for space debris observation, it is limited by its sensitivity to dynamic background noise. Traditionally, in the field of astronomy, static background subtraction based on a median image technique has been used to extract moving space objects prior to the tracking operation, as this is computationally efficient. The main disadvantage of this technique is that it is not robust to variable illumination conditions. In this article,we propose an approach for tracking small and dim space debris in the context of a dynamic background via one of the optical telescopes that is part of the space surveillance network project, named the AsiaPacific ground-based Optical Space Observation System or APOSOS. The approach combines a fuzzy running Gaussian average for robust moving-object extraction with dim-target tracking using a particlefilter-based track-before-detect method. The performance of the proposed algorithm is experimentally evaluated, and the results show that the scheme achieves a satisfactory level of accuracy for space debris tracking.  相似文献

We present a new method to perform the three dimensional characterization of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) using stereoscopic images obtained with the STEREO/SECCHI-COR2 coronagraphs. Two approaches are proposed, and each associated algorithm gives the trajectory of the CME and its kinematical properties (velocity and acceleration profiles) intended for space weather forecast. The first approach is based on forward modeling appropriate to the reconstruction of surfaces in an optically thin medium, and performs a local approximation of the observed CME by a hemispherical shell, thus tracking the leading edge of the event. The second approach is based on tracking the center of gravity of the radiance of the CME in the images. More than 16?000 blind tests have been performed to assess the performance of each algorithm. For that purpose, we used three distinct libraries of simulated images of CMEs that correspond to three CME models: hemispherical shell, flux rope, and cloud-like. The two methods are applied to a set of CMEs observed in 2007 and 2008 by the SECCHI-COR2 coronagraphs, and when possible, our results are compared to those already published. The determinations of the direction of propagation and of the velocity are generally found in good agreement.  相似文献

A methodological approach is proposed for determining optimal costs while maintaining required survivability of terrestrial objects of a satellite control system. The costs are calculated taking into account their distribution between the power and means, ensuring lesser vulnerability of the object, and the power and means spent on its reconstruction after damage. Experiments are described which demonstrate that the dead-time constant associated with a photon counting stellar photometer/polarimeter is readily determinable by the application of the Malus law. It is also proposed that corrections for dead-time losses should be applied by an iteration technique to the exact equation rather than using the available approximation formulae.  相似文献

The solution of a feedback optimal control problem arising in orbital mechanics is addressed in this paper. The dynamics is that of a massless body moving in a central gravitational force field subject also to a drag and a radial modulated force. The drag is linearly proportional to the velocity and inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the center of attraction. The problem is tackled by exploiting the properties of a suitably devised linearizing map that transforms the nonlinear dynamics into an inhomogeneous linear system of differential equations supplemented by a quadratic objective function. The generating function method is then applied to this new system, and the solution is back transformed in the old variables. The proposed technique, in contrast to the classical optimal control problem, allows us to derive analytic closed-loop solutions without solving any two-point boundary value problem. As a special approach to orbit determination for satellites with spaceborne GPS receivers, the kinematic Precise Orbit Determination (POD) is independent of any mechanical model (e.g., the Earth gravity ?eld, atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, etc.), and thus especially suitable for the orbit determination of Low Earth Orbiting (LEO)satellites perturbed strongly bythe atmosphere. In this paper, based on the space-borne dual-frequency GPS data, we study the kinematic POD, discuss the pre-processing of the data, and construct an algorithm of zero-difference kinematic POD. Using the observational data from GRACE (Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment) satellites covering the whole month of February 2008, we verify the effectiveness and reliability of this algorithm. The results show that the kinematic POD may attain an accuracy of about 5 cm (with respect to satellite laser ranging data), which is at the same level as the dynamic and reduced-dynamic PODs  相似文献

We are entering in a new era of space exploration signed by sample return missions. Since the Apollo and Luna Program, the study of extraterrestrial samples in laboratory is gathering an increased interest of the scientific community so that nowadays exploration program of the Solar System is characterized by swelling sample return missions. Beside lunar samples, the NASA Stardust mission was the first successful space mission that on 15 January 2006 brought to Earth solid extraterrestrial samples collected from comet 81P/Wild 2 coma. Grains were collected during cometary fly-by into aerogel and once on Earth have been extracted for laboratory analyses. In the coming two decades many space missions on going or under study will harvest samples from minor bodies. Measurements required for detailed analysis that cannot be performed from a robotic spacecraft, will be carried out on Earth laboratories with the highest analytical accuracy attainable so far. An intriguing objective for the next sample return missions is to understand the nature of organic compounds. Organic compounds found in Stardust grains even if processed to large extend during aerogel capturing are here reported. Major objectives of Marco Polo mission are reported. Various ground-based observational programs within the framework of general characterizations of families and classes, cometary–asteroid transition objects and NEOs with cometary albedo are discussed and linked to sample return mission.  相似文献
