We present the combined BVI multicolor photometric solutions of seven EW variables in the old open cluster Berkeley 39.The observations were carried out in the B and V passbands from the 2 m telescope at the IUCAA-Girawali Observatory in India.The analysis is done using the 2003 version of the Wilson-Devinney code and the fitted light curves are presented.The light curves appear to be symmetric in all the passbands.The photometric solutions suggest that the variables are W-type systems.The new ephemeris ind...  相似文献

The first light curve solutions of the binary systems V1370 Tau and QQ Boo are presented. The periodic changes are calculated, and a new ephemeris presented for each of these two binary systems. O-C analysis is performed using the MCMC method in OCFit code. The changing rate of period was measured as dP/dt= 0.2423 days/year for V1370 Tau and dP/dt= -0.1363 days/year for QQ Boo. The light curve solutions suggest that V1370 Tau is a weak-contact eclipsing binary system with a photometric mass ratio q = 0.829, and that the corresponding fillout factor is 11.06%. Furthermore, it is suggested that the QQ Boo binary system is also a weak-contact W UMa eclipsing binary with a photometric mass ratio q = 0.831, and that its fillout factor equals 10.26%. The light curve solutions require cold spots. Utilizing the Wilson-Devinney code the photometric and geometric parameters of the systems are determined. The distance of both V1370 Tau and QQ Boo are calculated according to the estimated absolute parameters as 159.95 ± 23 pc and 309.03 ± 25 pc, respectively, which are in a good agreement with the distance values derived from the Gaia DR2 parallax within one standard deviation. This paper reports the first spectroscopic observations in the Hα region at different orbital phases and the revised photometric solutions, for the contact binary KP101231 (V1) in the direction of the open cluster Praesepe. The photometric solutions obtained for the data in V and R passbands using the Wilson–Devinney (WD) method suggest that both components were in good thermal contact. The equivalent widths (EW) of Hα and Na lines were studied at various phases and a filled-in absorption profile around phase 0.58–0.68 was observed and compared with other phases. A correlation was observed between the profiles of Hα and Na lines at various phases.  相似文献

Using Wood's model we have reanalyzed the light curves of the eclipsing binaries QY Aql, V388 Cyg, and HS Her. For QY Aql and HS Her our photometric solutions substantially confirm previous results, thus respectively supporting ansd-d classification and a main sequence detached view. On the other hand, significantly different photometric elements have been derived for V388 Cyg, which is likely to be an evolved contact binary.  相似文献

In this study, we have performed simultaneous solutions of light and radial velocity curves of two eclipsing binary systems, V566 Oph and V972 Her. We observed both systems spectroscopically with a very recently installed spectrograph on the 40 cm telescope, T40, located in Ankara University Kreiken Observatory (AUKR), for the first time. We made use of the photometric data from the Hipparcos satellite for V972 Her, while we obtained the photometric observations of V566 Oph by using the 35 cm telescope, T35, located also in our observatory campus. We derived the absolute parameters for both systems and discussed their evolutionary states. In addition to the simultaneous analysis, we have also analyzed the change in mid-eclipse times for V566 Oph, and found cyclic variations, for which we have discussed light-time effect and magnetic activity as their potential origin, superimposed on a secular change due to a mass transfer between the components of the binary.  相似文献

CCD photometric observations with B and V passbands were performed on the contact binary V3 in the field of open cluster M37. The solutions were obtained for data from both B and V passbands along with R passband given by Hartman et al.using the Wilson-Devinney code. The positive O'Connell effect was observed in all the three passbands and its associated cool spot parameters were derived. The results indicate that the spot parameters have not shown any significant variability during the last four years. The spot radius was found to be 40and located close to the equator of the secondary component. The absolute parameters of the system were derived using the empirical relations given by Gazeas et al.  相似文献

本文给出了金牛座AH的BV两色光电光变曲线。发现该双星的光变曲线从1973年到1986年发生了较大的变化,新观测到的光变曲线是对称的,用Wilson-Devinney方法分析我们的观测求得了AH Tau的测光解。结合该双星的光度视差求出了它的基本参量,并发现它距太阳的距离是昂星团距太阳距离的二倍。因此,AH Tau虽然在昴星团的方向上,但它不是昴星团的成员星。  相似文献

We present new CCD photometric observations of V1044 Her obtained on May 22, 23 and 24, 2015. From our data, we derived five new light curve minimum times. Combining our new results with previously available CCD light minimum times, we derived an updated ephemeris and discovered that the period of this binary system exhibits an oscillation. The cyclic variation may be caused by the light-time effect via the presence of a third body or magnetic activity cycle. We calculated the corresponding period of the third body to be 14.1 ± 1.4 years or magnetic cycle to be 12.2 ± 0.7 years. We analyzed our new asymmetric light curves to obtain photometric solutions and starspot parameters using the Wilson and Devinney program. The final results show that V1044 Her is a contact binary system with a degree of contact factor f = 3.220( ± 0.002)%.  相似文献

The Behlen observatory 0.76 m telescope CCD photometer is used to obtain 347 observations of the short period (P0d.4) eclipsing binary star V719 Her. The observations done withV andR bandpass filters were made on 6 nights in 1993. Previously published light elements and the present five timings of minimum provide a new epoch and a more accurate orbital period of 0.4009828 days. Our analyses show that the period of the system appears to decrease. We recommend future monitoring of the eclipse minima for this system. No published spectral classification for V719 Her exists. From the color,V-R=0.391, we estimate it to be about F5.The 1993 version of the Wilson Devinney model gave the photometric solutions. The adopted solution indicates that V719 Her is a W UMa type contact binary. The mass ratio,q=(m 2/m 1, where star 1 eclipse at the primary minimum)=0.296 suggests that V719 Her is a WUMa system with type-A (transit during primary eclipse) configuration. The secondary minimum shows a total eclipse. V719 Her with period less than 0.5 and spectral class F5, is probably a zero-age contact system. Since our photometric solution shows that the luminosity difference between the components is very large, we suspect that V719 Her is most likely a single line spectroscopic binary. We recommend spectroscopic study of this system.  相似文献

The first light curve solutions of the stars EW and HN in the Pisces constellation are presented. Photometry, and its’ periodic changes are calculated and discussed. The analysis of the O-C diagram is done by the MCMC approach in the OCFit code and a new ephemeris is provided for the two binary systems. The results show that EW Psc is a near contact eclipsing binary system with a photometric mass ratio q = 0.587, and the fillout factor is -0.034 and -0.018 for the primary and secondary components, respectively. The solution results also show that the system HN Psc is a weak-contact W UMa eclipsing binary with a photometric mass ratio q = 0.853, and with a fillout factor of 5.6%. The light curves solutions required a cold spot to account for the O'Connell effect.  相似文献

We present a photometric study of three chromospherically active stars with long periods (V340 Gem, SAO 62042 and FI Cnc). The observations were made at the ÇOMU Observatory in 2006 and 2007. We have made initial photometric analyses of V340 Gem and SAO 62042, which are newly discovered RS CVn–type SB1 binaries, and established the photometric variations of FI Cnc, which is a single G8III active star. Photometric rotation periods of these stars were obtained by analyzing their light variations. The light variations, observed over three or more consecutive orbital cycles, were investigated by using spot models with the program SPOT. We also discussed the surface differential rotation coefficient for the primary component of the SB1 binary star SAO 62042 in this study, using our own photometric period together with an orbital period taken from the literature.  相似文献

Classical R-M and synthetic W-D analysis of V758 Centauri are presented. Two solutions (semi-detached and contact) were found from differential corrections approach. The semi-detached model is physically acceptable since the system is thermally decoupled. The solution for this case and the photometric data are consistent with a B9 primary and A9 secondary components having parameters close to Main-Sequence values. It is suggested that V758 Centauri is a B-type W UMa system at the brokencontact phase predicted by the Thermal Relaxation Oscillations theory.  相似文献

GJ 3236 is a low-mass red-dwarf eclipsing binary (EB) with two M4V components. In this paper, new photometric light curves (LCs) of GJ 3236 are presented and analyzed by using the 2013 version of the Wilson–Devinney (W–D) code. Our photometric solutions suggest that GJ 3236 is an active detached EB system with strong magnetic field. Since 2009, we have monitored this target more than 10 years and obtained 22 mid-eclipse times with high precision. By using the O–C method, we revised its period as 0.7712562 days. According to Applegate mechanism, the O–C diagram of GJ 3236 should show a quasi-periodic variation, however, it does not now. Based on these, we thought that it is possible evolved through the accretion of circumstellar matter. Besides, both of components of GJ 3236 present a similar radius inflation, which could be explained by the strong magnetic activity.  相似文献

Long-term BV RI photometric light curves of the pre-main sequence stars V977 Cep and V982 Cep during the period from 2000 October to 2016 August are presented. The stars are located in the vicinity of the reflection nebula NGC 7129. Our photometric data show that both stars exhibit strong photometric variability in all optical passbands, which is typical for Classical T Tauri stars. Using our observational data we analyze the reasons for the observed brightness variations. In the case of V977 Cep we identify previously unknown periodicity in its light curve.  相似文献

Synthetic light curve solutions for the W UMa-system BV Dra have been determined by applying the Wilson and Devinney approach toUBV-observations of 1979–1980 andBV-observations of 1976. All solutions are very similar and correspond to a system with an overcontact configuration and an A-type light curve. A reasonable solution results from the assumption of a G1V spectral type for the primary component. Solutions with a F7V spectral type for the primary component are also presented. The photometric mass ratios are close to the spectroscopic values.  相似文献

Results from optical photometric observations of the PMS star V 1735 Cyg are reported. The star is located in the IC 5146 dark cloud complex—a region of active star formation. On the basis of observed outburst and spectral properties, V 1735 Cyg was classified as a FUor object. We present data from BVRI CCD photometric observations of the star, collected from March 2003 to January 2009. Plates from the Rozhen Schmidt telescope archive were scanned for a brightness estimation of the star. A sequence of sixteen comparison stars in the field of V 1735 Cyg was calibrated in BVRI bands. The data from photographic observations made from 1986 to 1992 show a strong light variability (ΔV=1m2). In contrast, the recent photometric data obtained from 2003 to 2009 show only small amplitude variations (ΔI=0m3). The analysis of existing photometric data shows a very slow decrease in star brightness—1m8 (R) for a 44 year period. The possibilities for future photometric investigations of V 1735 Cyg using the photographical plate archives is discussed briefly.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to present a general method for computation of the geometrical elements of totally eclipsing W UMa (close, or in actual contact) binary systems in the frequency-domain.This method has been done using a new technique (two minima with the improved values of the photometric perturbation effects). The results are compared with the results calculated by different methods, that have used the same observation references.The improved photometric perturbation terms have been discussed and its effects are computed for both (primary and secondary) minima.  相似文献

We present a new set of CCD photometric observations for the short period eclipsing binary 1SWASP J1743 (= V1067 Her). We have determined the available times of light minima and two new linear and quadratic ephemerides have been obtained. The photometric solutions for the system have been performed using Wilson and Devinney Code. The 3D and fill out configuration revealed that V1067 Her is an over contact W UMa binary with relatively low fill-out factor of about 16%.We investigated the period variation for the system. It showed a strong evidence of period changes by using the (O-C) residual diagram method and we have concluded long-term orbital period decrease rate dP/dt= −3.0 × 107 d/yr, corresponding to a time scale 8.6 × 105 yr. Such period decrease in the A-type W UMa systems is usually interpreted to be due to mass transfer from the more to the less massive component.  相似文献
