Long-term BV RI photometric light curves of the pre-main sequence stars V977 Cep and V982 Cep during the period from 2000 October to 2016 August are presented. The stars are located in the vicinity of the reflection nebula NGC 7129. Our photometric data show that both stars exhibit strong photometric variability in all optical passbands, which is typical for Classical T Tauri stars. Using our observational data we analyze the reasons for the observed brightness variations. In the case of V977 Cep we identify previously unknown periodicity in its light curve.  相似文献

Radial velocity data and photometric light curves (in the B. V, and Ic passbands) for the detached eclipsing binary AG Leo Minoris were acquired–apparently for the first time–and are reported here. Roche modelling using the 2003 version of the Wilson-Devinney code was completed, yielding the basic parameters. The period appears to be constant, but further monitoring is highly desirable. Reference to zero age main sequence values in Cox (2000) indicates that both stars are evolved. Tables from Schaller et al. (1992) suggest an age of 3.17 Gy.  相似文献

CCD photometric observations with B and V passbands were performed on the contact binary V3 in the field of open cluster M37. The solutions were obtained for data from both B and V passbands along with R passband given by Hartman et al.using the Wilson-Devinney code. The positive O'Connell effect was observed in all the three passbands and its associated cool spot parameters were derived. The results indicate that the spot parameters have not shown any significant variability during the last four years. The spot radius was found to be 40and located close to the equator of the secondary component. The absolute parameters of the system were derived using the empirical relations given by Gazeas et al.

Complete light curves in B and V of this semi-detached system observed 1964 in Sicily are given. The primary minimum has been found to be strongly asymmetric whilst it was symmetric in the years near 1900. It is shown that a gas stream suggested already by Struve from spectroscopic observations may account for the photometric peculiarities like the observed ones, if the enlightening of the bright component by particles of the gas stream hitting this star will be considered. From the light curves photometric solutions are calculated and compared with earlier ones. It is shown that the effect of dissimilarity of the shapes of the components may strongly influence the calculated value of the ratio of radii.  相似文献

The photometric solutions of W UMa-type binary BW Dra have been determined by applying the Wilson and Devinney Code toUBV observations of Rucinski and Kaluzny. It is shown that BW Dra is corresponding to a system with an overcontact configuration and smaller mass ratioq=0.392 andUBV light curves give the converging solutions with non-zero third light. It is proved that the components of BW Dra are older stars (the spectral types are G0 and G3, respectively). They could come into contact later stage of evolution. The photometric solution is similar to the results of Kaluzny and Rucinski. According to the photometric solution and spectroscopic results of Batten and Lu, the absolute parameters are presented too.  相似文献

The light curves of 30 well observed W UMa-type systems are analysed according to Kopal's method for the study of the light changes of eclipsing variables by using frequencydomain techniques. New geometric and photometric elements are derived and new values for the gravity-darkening coefficients are also given. Finally, an answer to the problem of whether or not these are contact systems is attempted.  相似文献

The first light curve solutions of the stars EW and HN in the Pisces constellation are presented. Photometry, and its’ periodic changes are calculated and discussed. The analysis of the O-C diagram is done by the MCMC approach in the OCFit code and a new ephemeris is provided for the two binary systems. The results show that EW Psc is a near contact eclipsing binary system with a photometric mass ratio q = 0.587, and the fillout factor is -0.034 and -0.018 for the primary and secondary components, respectively. The solution results also show that the system HN Psc is a weak-contact W UMa eclipsing binary with a photometric mass ratio q = 0.853, and with a fillout factor of 5.6%. The light curves solutions required a cold spot to account for the O'Connell effect.  相似文献

Four stars, GSC 1258-0143, GSC 1986-1665, GSC 3045-0892 and GSC 2983-1597 were found to be new variables during a campaign of CCD photometric monitoring of short-period eclipsing binary stars. The variabilities of these new variables are reported. The main characteristics and probable classifications of the variables are discussed through a preliminary analysis on their light curves. Among these stars, GSC 1258-0143 is classified as a RR Lyr star of sub-type a. Its pulsation period is determined to be about 0.5206 days. The other three stars, are definite variables, but their periods and types of light variations remain unknown.  相似文献

This paper reports the first spectroscopic observations in the Hα region at different orbital phases and the revised photometric solutions, for the contact binary KP101231 (V1) in the direction of the open cluster Praesepe. The photometric solutions obtained for the data in V and R passbands using the Wilson–Devinney (WD) method suggest that both components were in good thermal contact. The equivalent widths (EW) of Hα and Na lines were studied at various phases and a filled-in absorption profile around phase 0.58–0.68 was observed and compared with other phases. A correlation was observed between the profiles of Hα and Na lines at various phases.  相似文献

The short period Algol-type binary HP Aur has been studied on the basis ofUBV photometric observations. Its colour indexes were found to be (U-B)=0.14, (B-V)=0.70, and light curves show non-symmetrical and obvious photometric disturbances. Autoregressive spectral analysis and harmonic analysis for its light variations were made. The results indicate its brightness variations have the multiplet quasi-periods and low amplitudes. Its photometric solutions have been obtained using the Wilson-Devinney method. Its mass ratio is 0.5631, orbital inclination is 85.0 and it is a detached system. Its basic model has been discussed briefly.  相似文献

New light curves and photometric solutions of the contact binary AZ Vir are presented in this paper. The light curves appear to exhibit a typical O'Connell effect, with Maximum I being 0.021 mag (V) and 0.023 mag (B) brighter than Maximum II, respectively. From the observations, six times of minimum light were determined and from the present times of minimum light and those collected from the references, the light elements of the system were improved. The light curves were analyzed by means of the Wilson‐Devinney program. The results suggest that AZ Vir is a W‐subtype contact binary with a mass ratio of q = 0.623(2). The asymmetry of the light curves is explained by star spot models. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

We present optical photometric observations of the cataclysmic variables AO Psc and V 1223 Sgr, both of which are believed to contain slowly-rotating white-dwarf pulsars. These objectes belong to the new class of intermediate polars in which the magnetized-white-dwarf rotation period lies in between synchrous and extremely fast rotation periods. The observations reported here were carried out from the Kavalur Observatory using a 1 m reflector. High-time resolution light curves depicting a rich variety of flicker phenomena are presented. Results of a periodic analysis to search for coherent periodic modulations in the light curves are also presented. We have also derived the optical pulse profile of AO Psc and point out its similarities to the X-ray pulse profile.  相似文献

New BV light curves and photometric solutions of the W UMa-type contact binary CU Tau are presented in this paper. From the observations, four times of minimum light were determined and from the present times of minimum light and those collected from the references, a new ephemeris was formed. The O-C diagram of the period change suggests that the orbital period of the system seems to vary. While the B light curve seems to be symmetric, the V light curve appears to exhibit an O'Connell effect, with Maximum I being 0.015 mag. brighter than Maximum II. The light curves are analyzed by means of the latest version of the Wilson-Devinney code. The results show that CU Tau is A-subtype W UMa contact binary with a small mass ratio q = 0.180. The asymmetry of the light curve is explained by star spot models.  相似文献

Using Wood's model we have reanalyzed the light curves of the eclipsing binaries QY Aql, V388 Cyg, and HS Her. For QY Aql and HS Her our photometric solutions substantially confirm previous results, thus respectively supporting ansd-d classification and a main sequence detached view. On the other hand, significantly different photometric elements have been derived for V388 Cyg, which is likely to be an evolved contact binary.  相似文献

CCD time-series photometric observations are presented for the stars in the fields of the open clusters NGC7209, NGC1582 and Dolidze 18 in Johnson V, together with some photometric observations in R, and B. The results reveal 14 variable stars in the three clusters in total, among which 13 are newly-discovered variables. With color–magnitude diagrams and color–color diagram, memberships of the variable stars are estimated. With the derived light curves, scales of time and amplitude of variability of these variable stars are obtained. Together with the spectral types due to the estimation of color temperatures, possible types of the variable stars are preliminarily discussed.  相似文献

We present six \(\mbox{V}R_{c}I_{c}\) light curves of UX CrB from observations carried out from 2011–2015. We also obtained three optical spectra using the 2.16-m optical telescope and LAMOST survey at the national astronomical observatories. We classified its spectral type as \(\mbox{G2}\pm\mbox{2V}\). We noticed that there are strong absorptions in the Hα, Hβ, Ca ii H&K and infrared triplet lines in the observed spectra. By subtracting away the photospheric contribution, we also noticed that there are small excess emissions in these chromospheric active lines, which indicate there are weak chromospheric activities. We tried and obtained four photometric solutions with different spot positions from our full and high time-resolution light curves in 2012, using the updated Wilson-Devinney code. The model with two spots on the primary produced the best result for explaining the observed light curves from 2012. Moreover, we explained all other light curves based on our photometric solution using our 2012 light curves. There are two active longitudes at about 68° and 255°. We noticed that the starspots have both long-time (years) and short-time (about two months) variation by analyzing the light curves and its starspot parameters. There is also an obvious oscillation of light curve maximum between 0.25 and 0.75 phases by analyzing the values of \(\mbox{Max.~I} - \mbox{Max.~II}\). We conclude UX CrB are the evolved main-sequence stars with strong photometric and chromospheric activities.  相似文献
