Statistical characteristics of sound pulses and some typical marine noises in a shallow sea were analysed. With special requirements for underwater telemetric and telecontrolled devices in mind,a specific signal processing scheme ( digital correlation accumulation ) is put forward. Theoretical analyses on some underwater acoustic instruments showed this signal processing scheme is applicable to a shallow acoustic channel with variable spatiotemporal characteristics, multipath pulses and high noise level, and may be of general significance for underwater acoustic telemetry and telecontrol.  相似文献

A specific digital time correlative accumulation has been developed. It is an adaptable scheme of signal processing for underwater acoustic technology used in telemetry, telecontrol and some remote sensing. Its basic principle is here introduced and the prospects for successful use in an acoustic channel with multipath, time-space variables and high noise level are amply discussed. The performances of this scheme are analysed.The digital time auto-correlative accumulation has been used in two types of acoustic releases, and the cross-correlative accumulation has been used in a shallow water targets telemeter. There are some advantageous performances with these devices, for example, the effective range of release can reach about 4 nautical miles in a much complex shallow water area such as that in Xiamen Harbor where the depth ranges from 3 to 30 m, and the targets telemeter can normally keep working in even shallower water area.  相似文献

Sound propagation in a deep ocean two-axis underwater channel is often complex and difficult to simulate between surface channel and sound fixing and ranging (SOFAR) channel. The beam-displacement ray-mode (BDRM) theory is a normal mode method for propagation modeling in horizontally stratified shallow water. An improved method for computing the upper boundary reflection coefficient in the BDRM is proposed and applied to calculate the acoustic fields of a two-axis underwater channel. Transmission losses in the two-axis underwater channel are calculated in the new BDRM. The corresponding results are in good agreement with those from the Kraken code, and furthermore the computed speed of the new BDRM excels the other methods.  相似文献

This design adapts a special system of modulation and transmission control based on a DSP(Digital Signal Processing) chip, to cope with the complex underwater acoustic channel. Under suitable conditions of tidal current and wind, underwater topography can be detected by synthetic aperture radar (SAR) indirectly. Underwater topography SAR imaging includes three physical processes: radar ocean surface backscattering, the modulation of sea surface short wave spectrum by the variations in sea surface currents, and the modulation of sea surface currents by the underwater topography. The first process is described usually by Bragg scattering theory because the incident angle of SAR is always between 20°-70°. The second process is described by the action balance equation. The third process is described by an ocean hydrodynamic model. Based on the SAR imaging mechanism for underwater topography, an underwater topography SAR detection model and a simplified method for its calculation are introduced. In the detection model, a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model – the shallow water model is used to describe the motion of tidal current. Due to the difficulty of determining the expression of SAR backscattering cross section in which some terms can not be determined, the backscattering cross section of SAR image used in the underwater topography SAR detection is pro-processed by the simulated SAR image of the coarse-grid water depth to simplify the calculation. Taiwan Shoal, located at the southwest outlet of Taiwan Strait, is selected as an evaluation area for this technique due to the occurrence of hundreds of sand waves. The underwater topography of Taiwan Shoal was detected by two scenes of ERS-2 SAR images which were acquired on 9 January 2000 and 6 June 2004. The detection results are compared with in situ measured water depths for three profiles. The average absolute and relative errors of the best detection result are 2.23 m and 7.5 %, respectively. These show that the detection model and the simplified method introduced in the paper is feasible.  相似文献

A new in-situ seabed acoustic measurement system is developed for direct in-situ measurement of sediment geoacoustic properties (compressional wave velocity and attenuation). The new in-situ system consists of two parts: the deck control unit and the underwater measurement unit. The underwater measurement unit emits sonic waves that propagate through the seafloor sediment, receives the returning signals, and transmits them to the deck control unit for waveform display and analysis. The entire operation is controlled and monitored in real time by the deck control unit on the research vessel and can provide recording of full waveforms to determine the sound velocity and attenuation. This paper outlines the design of the system, the measurement process, and demonstrates its application in tests carded out on seabed sediment off the Qingdao coast, China. The test results show that the system performed well and rapidly provided accurate in-situ acoustic velocity and attenuation estimates of the seafloor sediment.  相似文献

In this study,a mathematical model of multipath channels is established,and the delay parameters of 10-path models are calculated at 300 m.A multipath-channel hardware simulator based on a field programmable gate array(FPGA)is designed and verified at 100 k Hz,200 k Hz,500 k Hz,1 MHz,and 24 MHz transmission frequencies.According to the characteristics of the ocean induction coupling chain channel,the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM)algorithm parameters are designed by referring to the wireless communication protocol.The appropriate length cyclic prefix(CP)is added in the OFDM symbol to resist the multipath effect of the seawater channel,and the FPGA hardware transceiver based on the OFDM algorithm is realized.The hardware platform of the ocean induction coupling chain communication system is developed to resist the multipath effect of the seawater channel and tested at 24 MHz.The experimental results show that 800 ns is the best CP length for the developed system,which can effectively resist the multipath effect,with a signal-to-noise ratio above 24 d B and a bit error rate below 1%.This study provides a hardware simulation test platform and an effective method to resist the multipath effect of a seawater channel and improve the transmission performance of the seawater channel.  相似文献

A shallow water tomography scheme based on the modal wave number inversion technique is considered in this paper. The scheme is based on the assumption that modal wave number for trapped modes can be measured in a suitable way. The tomographic inversion is accomplished in two steps: firstly, the bottom parameters are inverted by using the bottom reflection phase shift with the known sound speed profile; secondly, the variation of sound speed profile at different time is inverted provided the bottom parameters are known. A numerical simulation shows that the proposed scheme works well, and the sensitivity analysis of sound speed profile inversion is performed for shallow water environmental parameters: sound speed, density and attenuation coefficient of the bottom.  相似文献

In this paper, function characteristics of dispersion of ocean wave in finite depth water were analyzed systematically. The functional form of the fitting function is reasonably proposed, in which the parameters are optimally determined by the least square method (LSM). For infinitely deep and extremely shallow water,the fitting function fits strictly the dispersion to be fitted. A new technique is presented in application of LSM.An empirical formula with maximum error of less than 0.5% for computing wavelength in finite depth water is presented for practical applications.  相似文献

Uargathy Inlet is a small natural tidal inlet in the northern region ol the Virginia Darner island chain. It is 100 m wide with a throat cross-sectional area of 384m2 and an average tidal prism of 6.47 x 106 m3. The inside drainage system is 7.8 km long and 2.2km wide. The main channels comprise 5.8% of the area, shallow lagoons 19.8%, and Spartina marshes 74.4% in 1970. Over the period 1851 - 1989 the inlet narrowed and migrated northward while maintaining a weakening downdrift offset. The nearby barrier island coastline's rapid retreat (average rate 4.78m /a, 138 years retreat 660 m) was accompanied by back barrier channel and lagoon filling and a decrease in intertidal water volume which was probably the main reason for the entrance narrowing. The northward migration of the inlet was related to the dredging of the Inside Passage (before 1949) and the breaching of southern Metompkin Island (since 1957) connected with the inlet system. Subsurface mooring allows researchers to measure the ocean properties suchas water te mperature,salinity,and velocity at several depths of the water column for a long period.Traditional subsurface mooring can release data only after recovered,which constrains the usage of the subsurface and deep layer data in the ocean and climate predictions.Recently,we developed a new real-time subsurface mooring(RTSM).Velocity profiles over upper 1 000 m depth and layered data from sensors up to 5 000 m depth can be realtime transmitted to the small surface buoy through underwater acoustic communication and then to the office through Beidou or Iridium satellite.To verify and refine their design and data transmission process,we deployed more than 30 sets of RTSMs in the western Pacific to do a 1-year continuous run during2016-2018.The continuous running period of RTSM in a 1-year cycle can reach more than 260 days on average,and more than 95% of observed data can be successfully transmitted back to the office.Compared to the widely-used inductive coupling communication,wireless acoustic communication has been shown more applicable to the underwater sensor network with large depth intervals and long transmission distance to the surface.  相似文献

在对岩心、测井、分析化验等资料综合分析的基础上,结合区域地质背景与地震砂体预测,对鄂尔多斯盆地渭北地区长3油组沉积微相特征及其与致密砂岩储层非均质性的关系进行了研究。研究表明:该区沉积微相以纵向多期叠加、平面快速变化的浅水辫状河三角洲前缘水下分流河道微相为主。叠加河道砂体厚度在8~23.5m之间,各单期河道砂体厚度差异较大;在工区东、西部河道规模差异大,顺河道方向河道宽窄快速变化。叠加河道砂体的物性、含油性非均质性强,受单期河道规模影响较大。单期厚度较大的河道砂体中下部物性、含油性整体较好,单期厚度较小的河道砂体受钙质胶结和泥砾影响,物性、含油性整体较差。平面上,水下分流河道展布控制了物性、含油性分布,水下分流河道越宽,砂体规模越大,单期河道砂体越发育,物性、含油性越好,平面非均质性越弱。   相似文献
