本文用动态光弹性方法对震源物理中几种典型组合裂纹的动态扩展过程进行了研究。首次成功地记录了这些组合裂纹在单轴压缩情况下动态扩展过程中的等差线条纹图,并得到了裂纹的扩展路径。根据实验结果,本文确认在远场压剪应力场中扩展张裂纹尖端的K_(Ⅱd)=0,并求出了K_(Ⅰd),得出了在压剪应力场中该等裂纹属稳定扩展的结论。  相似文献

岩石破裂时电磁辐射的机理研究   总被引:21,自引:6,他引:21  
本文提出了岩石破裂时的电磁辐射是裂纹尖端电荷随着裂纹加速扩展运动所产生的假说.应用断裂力学方法推导了岩石破裂时初始裂纹长度与裂纹扩展加速度的关系,并计算了其速度和加速度值.根据破裂岩石的电子发射理论,解释了裂纹尖端带电荷的现象.利用岩石在单轴压缩致裂过程中记录到的近场电磁辐射的实验结果,计算了裂纹扩展时裂纹尖端的电荷量和远场电磁辐射强度.通过对电磁辐射波谱分析的研究,得到岩石破裂时电磁辐射频率上限的估计值.最后对岩石破裂时出现的声光电磁现象在理论上作了统一的定性的解释.  相似文献

实验研究三维断层的形成和扩展对于理解实际断层作用过程具有重要意义.在双轴压缩条件下开展了断层三维扩展过程的实验研究,利用多通道数字化高密度应变观测和基于可见光图像分析的数字散斑相关测量技术对岩石样品应变场的详细结构进行了动态观测和分析,同时利用多通道声发射全波形三维定位系统对样品内部微破裂的发育过程进行了观测.实验结果表明,断层在三维空间的扩展模式与二维明显不同,表现出更复杂的空间展布形态和变形机制.断层的三维扩展过程可以划分为3个基本阶段:第一裂纹扩展阶段——翼裂纹扩展阶段、转换阶段——花瓣裂纹活动阶段和第二裂纹扩展阶段——贝壳断面形成阶段.不同阶段具有不同的主导裂纹扩展方式,并对应不同的变形场和微破裂分布.其中,花瓣裂纹活动阶段在三维断层的发育过程中至关紧要,它是从表面似二维扩展向三维扩展转换的关键,也是三维断层扩展区别于二维断层的核心所在。  相似文献

本文提出唐山菱形块体在压缩载荷作用下震前应变积累和震时破裂滑动与稳定扩展的一个离散裂纹模型,它包括裂纹面的摩擦滑动和裂纹尖端稳定扩展两个过程。模型采用有限单元技术计算裂纹面的应力和变形及裂纹尖端的应力强度因子,并用库伦-纳维准则判断裂纹面是否发生摩擦滑动及用最大周向拉应力准则判断裂纹尖端扩展方向。模型预测与野外观测资料对比指出:裂纹模型能很好的表示1976年唐山地震震前积累和震时破裂传播的过程  相似文献

运用岩石破裂过程分析RFPA^2D系统,通过对岩石试样中预置的一组右行右阶雁列式裂纹扩展过程的数值模拟,研究了非均匀岩石介中多裂纹扩展的相互作用模式及其贯通机制。数植模拟再现的受压混合型裂纹扩展过程中逐步演变的全场变形过程,以及与细观非均匀性有关的声发射和断续扩展模式的“岩桥”现象,清晰地揭示出多裂纹扩展的相互作用及其贯通机制。模拟结果说明,对于岩石这种地质介质而言,忽略其非均匀性影响,可能会掩盖岩石变形与破裂过程中的许多与非均匀性有关的特殊现象,包括声发射或微震模式、岩桥或雁行断裂等。  相似文献

在扫描电镜下对带割缝的大理岩试件进行了单轴压缩实验.在加载的全过程中,观察了试件表面裂纹的产生、扩展、平面分布以及断裂扩展前缘处的微裂纹在主断裂扩展前后的开、闭变化,并分析了它们与外载之间的关系.在显微照片上量测了主断裂的宽度随外载水平及测点所在部位的变化规律.在实验测定和结果分析的基础上,解释了脆性岩石材料在宏观裂纹扩展时的断裂能明显偏离线弹性断裂力学预测值的原因,提出了以标量作为岩石损伤力学中的损伤量的设想,探讨了实验结果对了解地震前兆(如大地形变和地下水位异常)可能起到的作用.将实验观察到的微破裂活动与1975年海城7.3级地震前地下水位异常做了对比分析,发现两者在时空分布方面有许多相似之处.  相似文献

在研究地震孕育及震源破裂的问题时,用三维破裂来模拟地震破裂过程,比二维破裂与实际更加接近。我们设计了一组实验,采用几种不同的材料(玻璃、有机玻璃和大理石等)做成平板试件,在其中心预制非穿透裂纹,并在单轴压下进行了实验研究。 实验结果表明,非穿透裂纹与穿透裂纹的扩展情况有质的差别。非穿透裂纹的扩展并不沿原裂纹面延伸,而是沿裂纹前缘扩展出许多裂纹面,每一个破裂面都是复杂的扭曲、拐折的曲面。这可能意味着实际地震断层的扩展情况也是极为复杂的。  相似文献

Experimental study of the formation and propagation of three-dimensional (3D) faults is of great sig- nificance in the understanding of the propagation process developing from initial natural faults. In the study described in this paper, experimental investigations of 3D propagation processes of a type of surface fault are carried out under biaxial compression. The strain field near the surface fault is dy- namically measured and fully analyzed with a high-density Multi-Channel Digital Strain Gauge (MCDSG) and Digital Speckle Correlation Method (DSCM) based on the white-light image analysis. Simultane- ously the micro-fracture process involved in fault formation is observed by a 3D acoustic emission (AE) location system with a set of multi-channel whole-wave record equipment. The experimental results show that the 3D propagation process of surface fault differs greatly from that of the two-dimensional (2D) state and that a new more complicated type of 3D morphological characters and deformation mechanisms are produced. The 3D propagation process of surface faults may be divided into three stages: 1) the first stage of crack propagation initiated by wing cracks; 2) the conversion stage propa- gated by petal cracks; and 3) the second stage of crack propagation formed by shell-shaped fracture surface. The primary propagation patterns of the three stages are different. The corresponding defor- mation fields and micro-fracture distributions are likewise different. The fracture activities from petal cracks especially are of vital importance during surface fault propagation. This is also a key conversion state and marks an intrinsic difference between 2D-like and the 3D state in fault development.  相似文献

Numerical studies using the displacement discontinuity method show that a single shear crack under compression propagates in its own direction, because such propagation results in the maximum release of strain energy. The methods of linear elastic fracture mechanics may not be used for such a closed crack, and the stress intensity factors are meaningless in that case. Laboratory observations of propagation by means of kinks at an angle of approximately 70° to the crack may be due to heterogeneities, to the effect of a preexisting crack, to end effects, to microcracking, or to some combination of these factors. Such kinks may thus be local phenomena which cannot release most of the strain energy, and are not incompatible with our numerical results which are based on a global energy balance.  相似文献

In this study, we investigate what basic mechanisms a Discrete Element Model should have in order to reproduce the realistic wing crack extension, a widely observed phenomenon in uni-axial compression of brittle material with pre-existed crack. Using our Discrete Element Model—the Lattice Solid Model, we study how cracks propagate when different force-displacement laws are emplyed. Our results suggest that the basic features of crack propagation observed in laboratories cannot be reproduced under the following circumstances: 1) When only normal forces between two bonded particles exist and particle rotation is prohibited; 2) normal and shear stiffnesses are present and particle rotation is prohibited; 3) normal, shear stiffnesses and particle rotation are present and bending (rolling) stiffness is absent. Only when normal, shear and bending stiffness exist and particle rotation is permitted, is it possible to reproduce laboratory tests. We conclude that particle rotations and rolling resistance play a significant role and cannot be neglected while modeling such phenomenon. The effects of friction in the crack plane and confining pressure on extension of the cracks are also discussed.  相似文献

The previously developed two-dimensional boundary element procedure for analysing the propagation of a single discrete crack is extended to simultaneous multiple cracking in concrete gravity dams. A brief discussion of the generalized methodology is presented and the validity of the extended procedure is verified by performing a fracture analysis of the Fongman dam and comparing the predicted rupture process with the available experimental results. The fracture response of the Koyna dam is then studied extensively under the Koyna earthquake. Both single and multiple cracking models are employed to investigate the fracture process as well as final rupture in the dam. Similar final damage involving complete separation of the crest block of the dam is predicted, irrespective of whether single or multiple crack propagation models are employed. In relation to the phenomenon of hydrodynamic uplift pressure within propagating cracks, openings of the crack on the upstream face of the dam are examined in particular. The results indicate that this phenomenon is not expected to be significant during the crack development phase, and hence unlikely to affect the final rupture characteristics of dams undergoing strong earthquake excitation.  相似文献

对合一条预制中心割缝的大理岩六边形试件进行了对边均匀加压实验,在扫描电镜下实时观测了细观裂纹的起裂、扩展过程,研究了它们与外载大小和方向之间的关系.用实验过程中拍摄的显微照片测量与计算了裂端距(割缝周围次级裂纹开裂点至割缝端点的距离)与外载方向之间的关系,并分析了当加载方向变化时裂纹扩展的特征及变化规律.最后将实验结果与滇西北洱源-鹤庆断裂尾端张性盆地的发育过程做了对比,发现两者在受力方向改变时,次级断层的发育过程具有相似之处.  相似文献

Cracks, induced by different stress states, are studied systematically on thin slices of crinoidal limestone samples. Samples damaged by tension are compared to samples in which first damage is induced by compressive stresses, followed by tensile stresses. To quantify the effect of the compressive stresses, samples only damaged by compression are also studied. The tensile stresses cause the occurrence of an intergranular crack. When the sample is first damaged by compressive stresses, former induced damage influences the growth of this crack. It results in an intergranular crack with a zigzag profile. The average orientation of the intergranular crack is, however, the same as in the samples damaged by tension only.  相似文献
