The dynamics of slowly rotating magneto-viscous fluid universe coupled with zero-mass scalar field is investigated, and the rotational perturbations of such models are studied in order to substantiate the possibility that the Universe is endowed with slow rotation, in the course of presentation of several new analytic solutions. Four different cases are taken up in which the nature and role of the metric rotation (r, t) as well as that of the matter rotation(r,t) are discussed. Except for the case of perfect drag, the scalar field is found to have a damping effect on the rotational motion. This damping effect is seen to be roughly analogous to the viscosity. The periods of physical validity of some of the models are also found out. Most of the rotating models obtained here come out to be expanding ones as well which may be taken as good examples of real astrophysical situations.  相似文献

By considering a spherically-symmetric metric, certain new analytic solutions for charged rotating viscous-fluid cosmological models in the Einstein universe are found out. Five different cases in which the nature and role of the rotational velocity (r, t) is related to the local dragging of inertial frames and that of matter rotation (r, t), are investigated. Except for the case of perfect dragging, the electric field is found to have a damping effect on the rotation of matter. The damping effect is seen to be roughly analogous to the viscosity. In some solutions we find out the temporal restrictions for realistic astrophysical situations. Models which are rotating as well as expanding are also obtained and studied.  相似文献

Certain new analytic solutions for rotating perfect-fluid spheres in the Robertson-Walker universe are found out to substantiate the possibility of the existence of rotating cosmological objects coupled with zero-mass scalar field. Exact solutions for the metric rotation (r, t) and the matter rotation (r, t) under different conditions are obtained and their nature and role are investigated. Except for perfect dragging the scalar field is found to have a damping effect on the rotation of matter. In some solutions we find out the restrictions on the radii of the models for realistic astrophysical situations. Rotating models which can also be expanding are also obtained, in which case the rotational velocities are found to decay with the time; and these models may be taken as examples of real astrophysical objects in the Universe.  相似文献

The dynamics of a slowly-rotating cosmological viscous-fluid universe is investigated and the rotational perturbations of such models are studied in order to substantiate the possibility that the Universe is endowed with slow rotation, in the course of presentation of some new analytic solutions. Three different cases are taken up in which the nature and role of the metric rotation (r, t) as well as that of the matter rotation (r, t) are discussed. The periods of physical validity of some of the models and the effect of viscosity on the rotational motion are also found out. Rotating models which are expanding as well are obtained, where in all the cases the rotational velocities are found to decay with the time; and these models may be taken as good examples of real astrophysical situations.  相似文献

Certain new analytic solutions for the rotational perturbations of the Robertson-Walker universe are found out to substantiate the possibility of the existence of a rotating viscous universe with zero-mass scalar field. The values for (r, t) which is related to the local dragging of inertial frames are investigated. In all the cases the rotational velocity is found to decay with time. Except for perfect dragging the scalar field is found to have a damping effect on the rotation of matter. The damping effect is found to be roughly analogous to viscosity. In some solutions it is found that the scalar field may exist only during a time period in the course of evolution of the Universe.  相似文献

We use the generalized Brans-Dicke theory, in which the Pauli metric is identified to be the physical space-time metric, to study the Universe in different epochs. Exact analytical expressions for dilaton field , cosmological radiusR and density parameter are obtained fork=+1,0,–1 Universe in the radiation-dominated epoch. For matter dominated Epoch, exact analytical expressions for Hubble parameterH, cosmological radius, dilaton field, deceleration factorq, density parameter and the gravitational coupling of the ordinary matter are obtained for the flat Universe. Other important results are: (1) the density parameter is always less than unity for the flat Universe because the dilaton field plays a role as an effective dark matter, and (2) the new Brans-Dicke parameter must be larger than 31.75 in order to consistent with the observed data.  相似文献

High-resolution filtergrams of the quiet chromosphere, taken at seven wavelengths in H with the aid of a computer-controlled 1/8 Å filter, have been used to derive the contrast of ten bright and dark mottles as functions of wavelength. The contrast profiles of bright and dark mottles are strikingly different. They disagree with Athay's (1970) velocity model but, with an appropriate choice of parameters, can be brought into good agreement with Beckers' (1964) cloud model. Comparison between observation and theory yields values for the source function S, optical thickness t 0, line broadening parameter 0, and line-of-sight velocity V for both bright and dark mottles. The values of S and t 0 obtained for dark mottles are consistent with Beckers' (1968) spicule model.  相似文献

The rotational properties of sunspots during the time interval 1977–1986 (solar cycle 21) are studied; only sunspot groups older than 4 days have been the object of this research. We have looked systematically for any kind of anomaly or fine structure in the differential rotation latitudinal profile and any significant change occurring during the course of the solar cycle. Some latitudinal bands are found where the angular rotation rate, rather than decreases according to its overall tendency, increases or is constant with the latitude. The differential rotation profile is, therefore, finely structured. The whole fine-structure pattern is affected by a slow equatorward shift. It is suggested that these fine structure features are due to the Coriolis forces acting on the meridional motions associated with giant toroidal convective cells. Some of the properties of such cells are inferred. Moreover, while the spot zone shifts equatorward, it is found to expand poleward; this expansion occurs by the addition of new belts of activity on the poleward side of the pre-existing active zone. The active zone is therefore found to consist, at the maximum activity epoch, of three different belts of spot production, each of them being centered around a local maximum-activity latitude; each of these centroids of activity is hypothesized to lie where a couple of meridional streams - associated with giant cells - converge. The activity belts are independent of each other as far as their activation, maximum, and end time, as well as their lifetime and level of activity are concerned. The angular rotation rate is correlated, in each belt, with the local level of activity.  相似文献

The perturbation by a spherical rotating shell is investigated in a homogeneous and isotropic cosmological model of viscous fluid distribution to first order in angular velocity (r, t) of matter and the metric rotation function (r, t) which is uniform and non-uniform the exact solutions for (r, t) are obtained for all cosmological models. The physical properties of these solutions are discussed.  相似文献

The Earth tidal deformation causes an additional gravitational potential. Its effect on the Moon orbital motion has been studied by several authors. In this contribution, we develop this additional potential without specifying the inertial frame chosen. For this purpose, we use the properties of the representation of rotation groups in 3 dimensions space. We finally obtain the interaction potential between the distorted Earth and the Moon which is a necessary preliminary to the study of the evolution of the Earth-Moon system.Nomenclature T.R.O Tide raising object - (, , ) Spherical coordinates of the T.R.O. - (J, E ) Earth spin axis orientation. The method of obtaining the estimates of the maximalt-interval ( , +) on which the solution of theN-body problem exists and which is such that some fixed mutual distance (e. g. 12) exceeds some fixed non-negative lower bound, for allt contained in ( , +), is considered. For given masses and initial data, the increasing sequences of the numbers k , each of which provides the estimate + > k , are constructed. It appears that if + = +, then .  相似文献

Transfer of resonance radiation in infinite medium is considered as a process of random walks of photons. Close relation is shown to exist between the problems of transfer of line radiation and the stable distributions of the probability theory. This relation is used as a basis of a new method for the investigation of the asymptotic properties of the radiation field far from the sources.

For the case of closed Friedmann models with the cosmological constant, an N - dependence is plotted, whereN is the conformal time of existence of the Universe, and is the ratio of the cosmological constant to its Einstein's value. The observational properties of the asymptotic model of the first kind (the so-called Al model) corresponding to the maximum of this dependence are analyzed. For the matter-dominated models, the maximum is achieved at the point = 1. Formulae for the calculation of the age of the Universe and for that of the photometric distance in the Al model are deduced. The observational properties of the A1 model are compared to the corresponding properties of the standard cosmological model ( = 0) which does not occupy any special distinguished position on the N - diagram. It is shown that from the standpoint of the modern observational cosmology these two models cannot be told one from another. However, the A1 model has better standing from the viewpoint of the strong wordings of the anthropic cosmological principle.  相似文献

Free convection effects on MHD flow past a semi infinite porous flat plate is studied when the time dependent suction velocity changes in step function form. The solution of the problem is obtained in closed form for the fluid with unit Prandtl number. It is observed that for both cooling and heating of the plate the suction velocity enhances the velocity field. The structure of rotating magnetic polytropes is considered in Roche approximation. Investigation of the influence of poloidal as well as toroidal magnetic fields on the conditions of the beginning of matter outflow due to rotational instability is carried out. The influence of the turbulent convection and twisting of magnetic force-lines on the time of smoothing of differential rotation is considered. The estimate of the magneto-turbulence energy generated by differential rotation is presented. Both maximum possible energy output and duration of the quasi-statical evolution phase up to the appearance of hydrodynamic instability due to the effects of general relativity are calculated for supermassive magnetic polytropes of index three with uniform or differential rotation. The radius-mass relation is obtained for supermassive differentially-rotating magnetic polytropes referring to the longest part of the quasi-statistical evolution stage; some consequences are pointed out, including the period-luminosity relation. The evolution of the considered models of supermassive rotating magnetic polytropes with different character of rotation and different geometry of a magnetic field is discussed. The results obtained are summarized in the last section.

The Hall effect on the unsteady hydromagnetic free-convection resulting from the combined effects of thermal and mass diffusion of an electrical-conducting liquid through a porous medium past an infinite vertical porous plate in a rotating system have been analysed. The expressions for the mean velocity, mean skin friction, and mean rate of heat transfer on the plate are derived. The effects of magnetic parameterM, Hall parameterm, Ekman numberE, and permeability parameterK * on the flow field are discussed with the help of graphs and tables.Nomenclature C p specific heat at constant pressure - C the species concentration inside the boundary layer - C w the species concentration at porous plate - C the species concentration of the fluid at infinite - C dimensionless species concentration - D chemical molecular diffusivity - E Ekman number - Ec Eckert number - g acceleration due to gravity - Gr Grashof number - Gm modified Grashof number - H 0 applied magnetic field - (J x, Jy, Jz) components of current density - M magnetic parameter - m Hall parameter - P Prandtl number - q m mean rate of heat transfer - Sc Schmidt number - t time - t dimensionless time - T temperature of fluid - T w temperature of the plate - T temperature of fluid at infinite - T dimensionless temperature - (u, v, w) components of the velocityq - w 0 suction velocity - (x, y, z) Cartesian coordinates - z dimensionless coordinate normal to the plate Greek symbols coefficient of volume expansion - * coefficient of thermal expansion with concentration - frequency - dimensionless frequency - k thermal conductivity - K * permeability parameter - dinematic viscosity - density of the fluid in the boundary layer - coefficient of viscosity - e magnetic permeability - angular velocity - electrical conductivity of the fluid - m mean skin friction - mn mean skin friction in the direction ofx - mv mean skin friction in the direction ofy  相似文献

Computations of polarization and intensity of radiation from a unit stellar surface area are presented, as well as a study of the numerical characteristics of atmospheres — single-scattering albedo and the initial source function(), which define the polarization behaviour of atmospheres. The radiatively stable models of stellar atmospheres presented by Kuruczet al. (1974) and Kurucz (1979) have been used for calculations. Since the versus optical depth dependence is rather weak, it has been assumed that (=cost. With a fixed effective temperatureT eff maximum values of are characteristic of stars featuring the lowest surface gravity accelerationg. Among stars with radiatively stable atmospheres, maximum values of (=5000 Å) 0.4–0.6 are exhibited by supergiants withT eff=8000–20 000 K. The plot of () is characterized by discontinuities at the boundaries of spectral series for hydrogen and, sometimes, for helium. Maximum are attained in the Lyman region of =912–1200 Å, where can reach the value 0.7–0.9 for supergiants, this value being 0.3 for Main-Sequence stars. For stars withT eff 35 000 K, high values of also are attained for <912 Å. Within the infrared region, is always small because of bremsstrahlung absorption.A rapid growth of the source functionB with < typical for ultraviolet range (within the Wien part of spectrum), together with high values of results in the strong polarization of emission from a unit stellar surface element, sometimes exceeding the values for the case of a pure electron scattering. For longer wavelengths, where the limb-darkening coefficient is smaller, the plane of polarization abruptly turns 90° in the central parts of the visible stellar disk.  相似文献
