大兴安岭五岔沟地区中生代粗安岩中的斜长石晶体具有多次熔蚀现象并发育环带结构。长石分类图表明斜长石主要是拉长石,其次为更长石和中长石。通过探讨斜长石环带的成因,认为微量元素含量的变化(Fe、Sr、Ba等)可用来判断斜长石反环带的形成机制。最后根据斜长石环带特征和电子探针成分分析,做出斜长石环带间微量元素Fe和Sr随An的变化曲线,得出该区斜长石在其结晶过程中经历了3次岩浆混合作用的结论。  相似文献

Plagioclase phenocrysts from mafic enclaves and plagioclase from its host granite possess a pat-tern of complex zonation .A plagioclase phenocryst can generally be divided into three parts:an oscillatory, locally patchy zoned core (An47-19),a ring with dusty, more calcic plagioclase (An64-20) and a normally zoned rim composed of sodic plagioclase (An22-3.3). Major discontinuities in zoning coincide with resorption surfaces that are overgrown by the more calcic plagioclase.The cores of large plagioclase phenocrysts from mafic enclaves and host granite show similar zoning patterns and similar compositions, indicating their crystallization under the same conditions .Steep normal zoning of the rims of plagioclases both from host granite and mafic enclaves illustrates a drastic decrease in An content which is considered to have resulted from the continuous differentiation of hybrid magma and efficient heat loss because of the upward emplacement of the residual magma.Wide rims of plagioclases from the host granite against the discrete rims of plagioclases from mafic enclaves indicate that differentiation and cooling lasted much longer in the host granite than in the mafic enclaves.  相似文献

Various petrographic features and geochemical characteristics indicative of disequilibrium are preserved in plagioclase phenocrysts from basaltic to andesitic lavas in East Junggar, northwest China. These characteristics indicate that they crystallized in a magma chamber, which was replenished by less differentiated and high-temperature magmas. The petrographic and geochemical features of the plagioclase phenocrysts are interpreted to record responses to changes in temperature, composition and mechanical effect during magma replenishment. Distinct rare earth element(REE) patterns between cores and rims of the same plagioclase crystal suggest derivation from two end-member magmas. From core to rim, plagioclase phenocrysts commonly display sharp fluctuations of anorthite(An) content up to 20, which either correspond to reverse zoning associated with ovoidal cores and resorption surface(PI), or normal zoning with euhedral form and no resorption surface(P2). Plagioclase crystals with diverse textures and remarkably different An content coexist on the scale of a thin-section. Cores of these plagioclases in each sample display a bimodal distribution of An content. From core to rim in PI, concentrations o f FeOT and Sr increase remarkably as An content increases. During magma replenishment, pre-existing plagioclase phenocrysts in the andesitic magma, which were immersed into hotter and less differentiated magmas, were heated and resorbed to form ovoidal cores, and then were overgrown by a thin rim with much higher contents of An, FeO~T and Sr. However, pre-existing plagioclase phenocrysts in the basaltic magma were injected into cooler and more evolved magmas, and were remained as euhedral cores, which were later enclosed by oscillatory zoned rims with much lower contents of An, Sr and Ba.  相似文献

Lavas and pyroclastic rocks throughout the volcanic stratigraphy of the Tertiary-Quaternary volcanic complex of Thera in the Aegean island arc display inhomogenous plagioclase populations and phenocryst resorption textures, interpreted as indicative of magma mixing. Plagioclase zoning characteristics studied by Nomarski and laser interferometry techniques establish three main categories of plagioclase: (i) inherited plagioclase (nucleated in endmember prior to initial mixing event) (ii) in situ plagioclase (nucleated in mixed or hybrid magma) and (iii) xenocrystic plagioclase. Nomarski contrast images and linearized compositional zoning profiles reveal striking differences between calcic and sodic plagioclases, depending on the composition of the lava in which they are hosted. These differences reflect the contrasting effects of changes in physical-chemical parameters in basic vis-a-vis more acidic melts during magma mixing and/or influx of new magma into the subvolcanic magma chamber, as well as the influence of magma chamber dynamics on plagioclase equilibration. Variations in bulk major and trace element abundances of Thera volcanic products reflect the dominant overprint of crystal fractionation, but decoupling between major and trace element fractionation models and variations in incompatible trace element distributions are all indicative of magma mixing processes, consistent with compositional and textural zoning in plagioclases.  相似文献

The microtextures developed during relatively slow cooling as a function of bulk composition in zoned ternary feldspars from syenodiorites and syenites in the Klokken intrusion, described in the preceding paper, were determined by TEM and their origin and evolution deduced. The feldspars normally have a plagioclase core and an alkali feldspar rim; cores become smaller and rims larger and the An content of both decrease with distance from the contact of the intrusion. The following microtextural sequence was observed. The inner plagioclase cores are homogeneous oligoclase-andesine with Albite growth twins only, but are crypto-antiperthitic towards the outer core. At first small platelets of low sanidine a few nanometres thick and up to 10 nm long occur sporadically only on Albite-twin composition planes. With further increase in bulk Or they are homogeneously distributed in the plagioclase. Thicker, through-going plates in platelet-free areas are found, which induce Albite twins in the surrounding plagioclase. The microtextures in the rims are regular cryptomesoperthitic, with (¯601) lenses or lamellae, depending on the bulk Or-content, of low sanidine in Albite-twinned low oligoclase-andesine. Albite and Pericline twins in plagioclase in an M-twin relationship, together with lenticular low sanidine, were found in only one small area. The overall diffraction symmetry of the mesoperthites is monoclinic, showing that exsolution started in a monoclinic feldspar, whereas that of the antiperthites is triclinic. The intermediate zone between the core and rim is more complex and microtextures vary over distances of a few micrometres.The cryptomesoperthites are very regular where Or-rich and probably arose by spinodal decomposition. The platelets in the outer cores arose by heterogeneous nucleation on twin composition planes and by homogeneous nucleation elsewhere. Near the intermediate zone they coarsened to give larger plates which induced Albite-twins in the plagioclase. Because of the zoning, microtextures that were initiated in areas of given composition, can propagate laterally into zones of different composition. 浙江普陀花岗杂岩体包含若干石英闪长质包体,该类包体中存在三种不同类型的斜长石:正常环带的斜长石、筛孔构造的斜长石和酸性斜长石为核的“反环带”斜长石。根据斜长石的环带构造特征和成分分析,认为本区的岩浆演化过程大致如下:下部基性岩浆注入到上覆酸性岩浆中并进行混合作用,酸性岩浆中已结晶的富钠质斜长石晶体进入偏基性的混合岩浆中,部分熔融形成筛孔构造;随着端员岩浆的进一步混合,富钠质斜长石晶体与中性混合熔体仅形成粗糙的边界,而保留原先构造特征;同时混合岩浆可以直接结晶出正常环带斜长石,呈单颗粒或以膜的形式包围其它环带构造的长石。本文还通过与平潭甬闪辉长岩杂岩体内筛孔斜长石的对比,认为斜长石的环带构造和成分可以反映岩浆源区特征和岩浆演化历史。  相似文献

南海新生代碱性玄武岩中存在两种不同粒径的斜长石矿物.其一为斜长石斑晶,常见熔蚀麻点,是岩浆上升、压力降低时发生熔蚀作用并在骤冷条件下形成的;其二斜长石微晶,半定向或杂乱分布于火山玻璃中,其中空骸晶结构表明斜长石微晶是在淬冷条件下迅速结晶形成的.斜长石斑晶具弱成分环带,斑晶边部的An值稍高或接近于斜长石微晶.微晶斜长石An值与岩浆喷出后的水深以及喷发位置距离岩浆主通道的远近存在一定联系.本区的斜长石斑晶形成温度明显低于冲绳海槽地区,而类似于东海陆架地区;斜长石微晶的结晶温度类似于冲绳海槽,表明两地区在岩浆喷出海底后淬火结晶的物理化学条件相似.结合同样品中橄榄石斑晶研究结果以及已有的地球物理学和岩石学方面的资料,可能反映了地幔柱快速上涌使早期部分熔融及结晶分异作用较弱,岩浆本身温度高提供了早期结晶形成的斑晶与寄主岩浆进一步充分反应的热量.计算的斜长石斑晶温度不能反映源区温度特征,后者应高于本文所计算的斜长石斑晶的结晶温度.  相似文献

The plagioclase in the Penninic, epidote-bearing and amphibole-free gneisses, mica schists and phyllites of the western Hohe Tauern (Austria/Italy) was generated by Alpine crystallization. Reverse zoning in these plagioclase formed during the ‘Tauern Crystallization’ indicate that they were probably produced by a two-stage process of regional metamorphism.Statistical analysis of the regional distribution of plagioclase An-content shows that the highest values are located in the Zillerthal Alps in the central Tauernfenster, whereas An values decrease towards the periphery of the Tauernfenster. Three areas of differing plagioclase composition have been delineated by the regional analysis. In the central region maximum An-contents range from 20 to 29%; in the intermediate region they vary from 14 to 19%; and in marginal areas they do not exceed 6%. In general these three zones are concordant to the major tectonic structures.  相似文献

The Grader layered intrusion is part of the Havre-Saint-Pierre anorthosite in the Grenville Province (Quebec, Canada). This intrusion has a basin-like morphology and contains significant resources of Fe–Ti–P in ilmenite and apatite. Outcropping lithologies are massive oxide alternating with anorthosite layers, banded ilmenite–apatite–plagioclase rocks and layered oxide apatite (gabbro-)norites. Drill cores provide evidence for stratigraphic variations of mineral and whole rock compositions controlled by fractional crystallization with the successive appearance of liquidus phases: plagioclase and ilmenite followed by apatite, then orthopyroxene together with magnetite, and finally clinopyroxene. This atypical sequence of crystallization resulted in the formation of plagioclase–ilmenite–apatite cumulates or “nelsonites” in plagioclase-free layers. Fine-grained ferrodiorites that cross-cut the cumulates are shown to be in equilibrium with the noritic rocks. The high TiO2 and P2O5 contents of these assumed liquids explains the early saturation of ilmenite and apatite before Fe–Mg silicates, thus the nelsonites represent cumulates rather than crystallized Fe–Ti–P-rich immiscible melts. The location of the most evolved mineral and whole rock compositions several tens of meters below the top of the intrusion, forming a sandwich horizon, is consistent with crystallization both from the base and top of the intrusion. The concentrations of V and Cr in ilmenite display a single fractionation path for the different cumulus assemblages and define the cotectic proportion of ilmenite to 21 wt.%. This corresponds to bulk cotectic cumulates with ca. 8 wt.% TiO2, which is significantly lower than what is commonly observed in the explored portion of the Grader intrusion. The proposed mechanism of ilmenite-enrichment is the lateral removal of plagioclase due to its relative buoyancy in the dense ferrodiorite melt. This plagioclase has probably accumulated in other portions of the intrusion or has not been distinguished from the host anorthosite.  相似文献

Oscillatory zoning in plagioclase crystals from different mixed lava flows cropping out on the Island of Capraia (Italy) has been investigated. An-calibrated profiles from back-scattered-electron images are used as compositional time series of oscillatory zoning. They are analyzed by a qualitative visual method that allows to appreciate at first sight the global structure of the time series and by a quantitative method to reconstruct the attractors associated to the oscillatory patterns, and to calculate the fractal dimension of attractors. Results show that attractors have fractional dimensions, indicating that series are chaotic. In addition, it is evidenced that there is a wide variation in oscillatory zoning in crystals from the same lava flow and that plagioclase populations from the different lava flows differ in the shape of frequency histograms of attractor dimension. The development of oscillatory zoning is simulated by considering a chemically inhomogeneous magmatic mass governed by chaotic flow fields, coupled with chemical diffusion, in which plagioclase crystals grow according to the availability of nutrients in their neighborhoods. Results show that in such a dynamical system plagioclase crystals develop chaotic zoning patterns analogous to those observed in natural plagioclases. This approach allows us to explain the differences observed in plagioclase crystals from the same lava flow and the differences in the shape of frequency histograms of attractor dimensions in the four lava flows.  相似文献

哈拉尕吐花岗岩基位于东昆仑东段,其中花岗闪长岩岩浆混合作用明显,是研究岩浆混合作用的良好对象.从岩石学、岩相学和矿物化学等方面对哈拉尕吐花岗岩基进行了详细研究.电子探针结果显示:寄主岩斜长石的An值同相对应包体中斜长石捕掳晶近似;包体中基质斜长石大部分具核边结构,核部和边部An值存在间断;部分包体中浅色基质斜长石的An值与具核边结构斜长石的边部近似;辉长闪长岩中斜长石具较高的An值.寄主岩角闪石同相对应包体中角闪石捕掳晶的结晶温度、压力和氧逸度较为接近;包体中基质角闪石的结晶温度和压力低于寄主岩角闪石,氧逸度稍高于寄主岩角闪石;辉长闪长岩角闪石具有最高的结晶温度和压力及最低的氧逸度.哈图沟剖面和德福胜剖面寄主岩中的斜长石和角闪石的成分具有一定差别.岩浆不同期次侵入结晶和岩浆自身演化,使不同地点斜长石和角闪石的成分和物理化学特征具有一定变化.镁铁质岩浆位于地壳深部,氧逸度较低,使结晶的角闪石具有较高的形成压力和较低的氧逸度,斜长石具较高An值;随着镁铁质岩浆注入寄主岩,由于环境突变,使斜长石受到熔蚀;由于岩浆上侵以及两种岩浆物理化学性质差别较大,导致温度、压力和水饱和度降低,氧逸度升高,使包体中残留岩浆快速结晶,形成具核边结构、浅色均一的斜长石,以及结晶程度较差、较高氧逸度的角闪石.   相似文献

铜官山岩体矿物学-矿物化学特征:岩浆结晶动力学意义   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
本文对皖南官山岩体开展详细地显微镜观察鉴定,利用电子探针和LA-ICP-MS技术对岩浆岩典型矿物斜长石、角闪石和榍石进行了主量和微量元素测定。显微镜鉴定表明,铜官山岩体中存在着大量的岩浆不平衡结构:如斜长石和角闪石嵌晶结构以及针状磷灰石等。这些现象的存在表明铜官山岩体在形成过程中曾发生过一次或多次岩浆混合作用。电子探针分析结果显示,斜长石的成分环带是震荡环带,而大尺度的震荡环带可能代表了大规模的岩浆混合作用;角闪石成分TiO2-Al2O3图解、CaO/NaO2-Al2O3/TiO2图解和Mg-(Fe2++Fe3+)- LiNaKCa角闪石成因矿物族三角图解指示铜官山岩体中角闪石很可能为壳-幔混合成因。LA-ICP-MS技术对主要造岩矿物的微量和稀土元素分析表明,角闪石很可能为幔源或壳幔混合源,斜长石可能为不同分异程度岩浆的混合形成。本研究比较明确地反映了铜官山岩体的形成过程中岩浆来源和结晶动力学过程,即壳幔源区的混合交代作用,与前人通过元素-同位素手段获得的信息比较吻合。  相似文献

位于攀西地区的新街层状岩体赋含大量钒钛磁铁矿,是峨眉山大火成岩省的一部分。岩体下部带和中部带以单斜辉石岩为主,并伴生浸染状钒钛磁铁矿矿化;上部带以辉长岩为主,赋存厚层的钒钛磁铁矿矿体。之前研究认为厚层的钒钛磁铁矿矿体的形成与粒间不混熔的富Fe熔体有关,但对富Fe熔体的演化过程缺乏细致研究。本文通过对新街岩体上部带的富矿辉长岩层和上覆浅色辉长岩中斜长石环带结构和成分的研究,揭示了富Fe熔体的演化过程。在浅色辉长岩中保存的岩浆不混熔的直接证据表现为矿物粒间共轭的富Si交生体和富钛铁矿交生体代表的非反应结构。本次研究发现,与粒间富Si交生体接触的斜长石边部的FeO和TiO_2含量随斜长石牌号(An)值的降低而降低,而与粒间富钛铁矿交生体接触的斜长石边部的FeO和TiO_2含量随An值的降低而升高,说明斜长石的边部成分变化记录了粒间共轭的富Si和富Fe熔体的成分特征。在富矿辉长岩中,斜长石可分为初生和新生两种,初生斜长石的An值介于57~62,FeO含量为0.34%~0.50%,TiO_2含量为0.06%~0.13%,新生斜长石具有相对较高的An值(61~81)和FeO、TiO_2含量,二者的内部和边部还发育增生斜长石,其An值(~50)相对较低;在初生斜长石边部可见不连续的新生斜长石环带和增生斜长石边,造成其内部成分显著不均一,并发育复杂的环带结构。本文认为,初生斜长石是岩浆正常分离结晶作用的产物。在粒间熔体发生不混熔后,不混熔的富Fe熔体逐渐向岩浆房下方迁移并结晶出了一些相对高An值的新生斜长石,或沿一些初生斜长石边部生长形成不连续的高An环带。当富Fe熔体演化至晚期,由于矿物生长空间受限,仅在初生和新生斜长石局部形成了相对低An值的增生边、或沿颗粒裂隙进入斜长石内部形成增生斜长石核。  相似文献

The ternary feldspar system KAlSi3O8 - NaAlSi3O8 - CaAl2Si2O8 was reinvestigated at 650 ° C and 800 ° C (P H2O = 1 kb) using mixtures of crystalline plagioclases and alkali feldspars as starting materials. The compositions of plagioclases and alkali feldspars of the run products were determined by X-ray means. The Or-content of the feldspar phases was determined by measuring the position of the (201) X-ray peak of the unexchanged feldspars, whereas the An-content was determined by measuring the same X-ray peak of the K-exchanged feldspars. The reaction rate of a reaction leading to a more An-rich plagioclase (type II reaction) is much faster than a reaction producing a more Ab-rich plagioclase (type I). In a type II reaction run times of approximately 20 days are needed to reach new constant plagioclase and alkali feldspar compositions at 650 ° C, and 10 days are needed to reach constant compositions at 800 ° C. In a reaction of type I only the outer zone of the plagioclases reacts to more Abrich compositions. A diffuse zone with a wide range of compositions was observed in 650 ° C runs. Equilibrium could not be reached in these experiments within 45 days. At 800 ° C a new zone having a specific composition develops in 42 days. This new zone is believed to be in equilibrium with the coexisting alkali feldspar. The depth of reaction is calculated as 0.03 μm after 42 days (800 ° C, P f= 1 kb). The reaction between the two feldspar phases could be reversed at 800 ° C. The following compositions are considered to represent equilibrium data at 800 ° C and P t = 1 kb:
  • An 43 Ab 51 Or 6 coexisting with Or 79 Ab 20 An 1, and
  • An 40 Ab 54 Or 6 coexisting with Or 75 Ab 24 An 1.
  • Recent data obtained with gels of ternary feldspar composition as starting materials do not agree with the results presented in this paper. Gels obviously crystallize spontaneously forming coexisting feldspars of non - equilibrium composition - alkali feldspars too rich in Ab and plagioclases too rich in An.  相似文献

    The crustal history of volcanic rocks can be inferred from the mineralogy and compositions of their phenocrysts which record episodes of magma mixing as well as the pressures and temperatures when magmas cooled. Submarine lavas erupted on the Hilo Ridge, a rift zone directly east of Mauna Kea volcano, contain olivine, plagioclase, augite ±orthopyroxene phenocrysts. The compositions of these phenocryst phases provide constraints on the magmatic processes beneath Hawaiian rift zones. In these samples, olivine phenocrysts are normally zoned with homogeneous cores ranging from ∼ Fo81 to Fo91. In contrast, plagioclase, augite and orthopyroxene phenocrysts display more than one episode of reverse zoning. Within each sample, plagioclase, augite and orthopyroxene phenocrysts have similar zoning profiles. However, there are significant differences between samples. In three samples these phases exhibit large compositional contrasts, e.g., Mg# [100 × Mg/(Mg+Fe+2)] of augite varies from 71 in cores to 82 in rims. Some submarine lavas from the Puna Ridge (Kilauea volcano) contain phenocrysts with similar reverse zonation. The compositional variations of these phenocrysts can be explained by mixing of a multiphase (plagioclase, augite and orthopyroxene) saturated, evolved magma with more mafic magma saturated only with olivine. The differences in the compositional ranges of plagioclase, augite and orthopyroxene crystals between samples indicate that these samples were derived from isolated magma chambers which had undergone distinct fractionation and mixing histories. The samples containing plagioclase and pyroxene with small compositional variations reflect magmas that were buffered near the olivine + melt ⇒Low-Ca pyroxene + augite + plagioclase reaction point by frequent intrusions of mafic olivine-bearing magmas. Samples containing plagioclase and pyroxene phenocrysts with large compositional ranges reflect magmas that evolved beyond this reaction point when there was no replenishment with olivine-saturated magma. Two of these samples contain augite cores with Mg# of ∼71, corresponding to Mg# of 36–40 in equilibrium melts, and augite in another sample has Mg# of 63–65 which is in equilibrium with a very evolved melt with a Mg# of ∼30. Such highly evolved magmas also exist beneath the Puna Ridge of Kilauea volcano. They are rarely erupted during the shield building stage, but may commonly form in ephemeral magma pockets in the rift zones. The compositions of clinopyroxene phenocryst rims and associated glass rinds indicate that most of the samples were last equilibrated at 2–3 kbar and 1130–1160 °C. However, in one sample, augite and glass rind compositions reflect crystallization at higher pressures (4–5 kbar). This sample provides evidence for magma mixing at relatively high pressures and perhaps transport of magma from the summit conduits to the rift zone along the oceanic crust-mantle boundary.     Mantled feldspars that formed by resorption, development of skeletal plagioclase crystals, and filling with alkali feldspar are common in the Golden Horn batholith, Washington. Subhedral plagioclase mantles have weak normal zoning from An17 to An10. Plagioclase zoning and twinning are crosscut by resorption channels. Resorption cavities and channels are coated with albite (An10). Anhedral, perthitic orthoclase within the plagioclase is optically continuous with orthoclase in channels and on the mantle exterior.This texture resulted from resorption of calcic cores of plagioclase as pressure decreased when water-undersaturated granite magma intruded to a shallow crustal level. At shallow level, only alkali feldspar and quartz crystallized and were available to fill the skeletal plagioclase.  相似文献

    在南太行山平顺闪长岩体中偶见具有特殊环带结构的斜长石,其核部为钙含量高的基性斜长石(An>63),幔部为富钠的斜长石,二者之间存在由绢云母和绿帘石组成的溶蚀带,且核、幔An值变化截然不同。根据斜长石的环带构造特征和成分分析,认为本区岩浆混合过程大致如下:起源于EMI型富集地幔的幔源岩浆底侵作用于下地壳,在高温下结晶出钙含量高的基性斜长石,且所携带的热使下地壳开始熔融形成壳源岩浆;壳、幔两种岩浆沿着太行山深大断裂快速上升侵位于地壳浅部,发生岩浆混合;与此同时,早期形成的基性斜长石由于压力突然减小发生溶蚀,形成形态不规则的溶蚀带;壳幔混合岩浆在基性斜长石基础上结晶生长富钠斜长石,形成具有特殊环带结构的斜长石。这为研究区内存在岩浆混合作用提供了最直接的证据。  相似文献

    This contribution reports a detailed study on in situ Sr isotope analyses, along with textural and compositional characteristics, of plagioclase phenocrysts occurring in the rhyodacitic dome-lavas and associated mafic enclaves, erupted during the last magmatic activity at Nisyros volcano (Greece). Dome-lavas and enclaves have a paragenesis dominated by plagioclase. We recognize five different types of plagioclase based on their specific textures and composition. Dome-lava plagioclases (Type-1) are mainly large (1–5 mm), subhedral, clear, and poorly zoned crystals with low An content (An25–35). The plagioclase phenocrysts (Type-4 and Type-5) and groundmass microlites crystallizing in the enclaves, and found in dome-lavas as xenocrysts, have high An content (An75–95). In both dome-lavas and enclaves, two other types of plagioclase do also occur: (1) plagioclase phenocrysts with size and core composition similar to those of Type-1 having a dusty sieve zone (DSZ) at the rims (Type-2); (2) plagioclases with a DSZ affecting the entire crystal but a thin rim (Type-3). The drilled plagioclases have 87Sr/86Sr negatively correlated with their An content. Low An cores of Type-1 and Type-2 have quite homogeneous 87Sr/86Sr (0.7044–0.7046), whose values are more radiogenic than their host magmas (0.70403–0.70408) and similar to those of the previous Upper Pumice (UP) rhyolite magma (0.70438–0.70456). The DSZs of Type-2 and Type-3 show lower and scattered 87Sr/86Sr (0.70397–0.70426) with intermediate and variable An content. High An cores of Type-4 and Type-5 have the least radiogenic Sr isotope composition (0.70379) in equilibrium with that measured in the enclaves (0.70384–0.70389). We demonstrate that Type-1 plagioclase crystallizes in the previous UP rhyolitic magmas representing the silica-rich magma from which the dome-lava melts derived by open system evolutionary processes (e.g., mixing, mingling, and crystal migration), caused by successive refilling of mafic enclave-forming magma. The Type-2 plagioclase derives from entrainment of Type-1 into the still molten enclave magma. The DSZs originated in response to the interaction between the low An plagioclase and the enclave mafic melt in which dissolution and re-crystallization acted together as function of the interaction time. Type-1 and Type-2 plagioclases record, therefore, a long-lived timescale of events starting from their crystallization in the UP rhyolite. Instead, the different width of DSZs (Type-2 and Type-3) seems to indicate short different interaction timescales between the single crystals and the enclave melt (from few hours to some 40 days). These microanalytical data contribute to the understanding of the origin of the rhyodacitic dome-lavas at Nisyros volcano and to set robust constraints on the dynamics of mingling/mixing processes in terms of crystal exchange pathways and enclave disaggregation.  相似文献
