A set of coordinate transformations is used to linearize a general geophysical inverse problem. Statistical and analytic techniques are employed to estimate the parameters of such linearization transformations. In the transformed space, techniques from linear inverse theory may be utilized. Consequently, important concepts, such as model parameter covariance, model parameter resolution and averaging kernels, may be carried over to non-linear inverse problems. I apply the approach to a set of seismic cross-borehole traveltimes gathered at the Conoco Borehole Test Facility. the seismic survey was conducted within the Fort Riley formation, a limestone with thin interbedded shales. Between the boreholes, the velocity structure of the Fort Riley formation consists of a high-velocity region overlying a section of lower velocity. It is found that model parameter resolution is poorest and spatial averaging lengths are greatest in the underlying low-velocity region.  相似文献

Summary. A direct attempt is made to examine the influence of non-linearity, in the dependence of data on parameters, on model resolution. An extension of the Marquardt approach to the non-linear case leads to bounded domains in discrete parameter space for a specified level of data misfit. The simplest class of non-linear influences on these domains may be simulated by modified linear terms via perturbation theory. Summary. The first non-trivial inverse problem for media with non-horizontal reflectors z = h ( x, y ) was set up for a model of the type: V = V ( z ), 0 ≤ z ≤ h ( x, y ), and the possibility of reconstructing the functions h ( x, y ) and V ( z ) at z ↦ (min h , max h ) was shown. In the alternative case, when h = constant and V = V ( x ) there is a unique solution. Only particular cases were considered for media with h = constant, v = V ( x, z ). In the second half of the 1970s, the conditional correctness of a number of inverse problems was proved and the important concept of a sufficient data system was proposed.
Over the last 20 yr much attention has been paid to layered homogeneous media with curved interfaces, which are reflectors and refractors at the same time. The task of continuing the eikonals second derivatives played a very important role in this problem. Using the connection between the second derivatives of the CDP travel-time curve and the eikonal from a phantom source at the base of the normal ray (V. Chernyak, S. Gritsenko, T. krey) there were obtained formulae of the Dix type.
Recently methods based on linearization using a small parameter were proposed for media with slightly curved interfaces. A number of iterative algorithms for optimization and inversion have been developed, which exploit advances in the solution of direct kinematical problems. The development of the theory of inverse problems and the statistical theory of interpretation has led to the creation of a general concept of multistep algorithms and their classification.  相似文献

When establishing environmental monitoring programmes, it crucial to make reliable cost estimates, especially where a field survey is involved. This paper presents a methodology for creating a spatial measure of a field survey effort (SE). A set of relevant variables affecting a SE (e.g. areas with rough terrain, or distant from the main road network) was classified using fuzzy sets and then combined to produce spatially explicit effort indicators, which were integrated to a single measure using an analytic hierarchy process (AHP). To evaluate this approach and identify the limits for its application, three spatially nested case studies were used to test the spatial expression of SE and the scalable capacity of the method itself. The presented methodology could cope with variations in the scale and data resolution, retrieving a coherent estimate of SE across the different case studies. The presented methodology is therefore useful for (i) testing the network designs for sampling bias related to SE, (ii) comparing alternative sampling designs, (iii) assessing the sampling costs and (iv) supporting the human and logistical resource management.  相似文献

在研究地形多分辨率细节层次模型构建理论的基础上,提出了结合地形特征的模型细节层次的细分过程,改进了基于外存的数据存储设计方法。设计了基于增量段式存储的数据组织方式,研究了地形数据绘制过程中的裂缝现象,引入模型高度损失误差计算方法,通过采用增删高程点的办法,消除了绘制图形中的裂缝。以某地区的DEM数据为实验数据,采用C++和OpenGL编程实现了地形的绘制。结果表明:本存储策略优于传统存储策略,通过增量段式的形式存储不同分辨率的高程点,重叠的高程值不再重复存储,以节约外存空间,减少了数据冗余度,I/O操作时间提高率为25%。且随着数据量增加,I/O操作时间提高效率更为显著。该存储设计将物理分块、逻辑分层、索引检索方法结合在一起使用,在减少外存占用率、降低数据量加载的同时,也提高了数据扩展的灵活性。当增加地形分块时,不会影响原有分块和存储结构。实验效果与原始地形非常相似,保证了生成的细节层次模型的真实性。此外,针对DEM实验数据,在加载非相邻分辨率等级层次的数据时,地形绘制过程出现裂缝的问题,通过删除高程点的办法来消除裂缝,取得了很好的实验效果。  相似文献

Mathematical methods from the theory of continuous groups are used to determine whether a non-linear inverse problem, in the form of a functional, can be transformed into a linear inverse problem. If such transformations exist they can be constructed from the solutions of a linear system of differential equations. An illustration of the methodology is given by the linearization of the functional relating basement topography to observed surface gravity. The linearized inversion of gravity data for basement topography is applied to observations from Yucca Mountain, Nevada. A 2.0 km step in the basement to the west of Yucca Mountain, corresponding to the Bare Mountain fault, matches the Bouguer gravity anomaly. The resolution and uncertainty associated with the estimates of basement topography indicate that the structure directly beneath the gravity line is well constrained.  相似文献

自上而下的人口分布模拟模型自动化程度较低,难以分析人口分布成因,且因精细尺度的人口样本较难获取而不太适用于高空间分辨率人口分布模拟。提出了一种基于多智能体模型和建筑物信息的高空间分辨率人口分布模拟模型。首先利用建筑物三维分布数据提取住宅建筑,构建智能体人口分布模拟模型的环境;然后基于统计、调研数据定义智能体属性,确定智能体居住选择行为规则;最后以泰日社区为例进行了居住人口分布仿真模拟。研究结果表明,基于建筑物信息的人口分布多智能体模型,可以获取每栋建筑物上的人口,改进了当前高分辨率人口模拟主要只模拟小区或者居委会人口的不足;多智能体模型具有较高的自动化程度,不仅能获得较好的模拟结果,而且可在一定程度上从微观机理解释宏观居住分布模式,是对传统统计模型的有益补充。  相似文献

Many modern hydrological models require data inputs provided by automated digital terrain analysis functions incorporated into GIS. These inputs include fields representing surface flow directions, up-slope contributing areas, and sub-catchment partitions. Existing raster-based terrain analysis tools, including both those in off-the-shelf GIS packages and those in the recent literature, were designed to work with digital elevation data in mountainous topography. For highly variable topography, which may include large flood plains, lakes, wetlands, and other relatively flat areas, existing tools cannot accommodate the variable signal-to-noise in the source elevation data without significant human intervention to handle special cases. A general model for calculating flow directions, up-slope contributing areas, and sub-catchment partitions that automatically adapts to the variable information content of grid-based elevation data sets is presented here. The model uses a combination of breadth-first search and global optimization to extract the maximum amount of signal from any location within the data. The model is demonstrated to work well in handling topography dominated by large flood plains, lakes and other flat areas without the need for a large number of empirical rules. An important contribution of the approach is the handling of explicit hydrologic features, which makes the spatial representation closely related to hydrological processes. The results have important implications for developing hydrological models that are tractable in large, heterogeneous watersheds using moderate resolution data.  相似文献

The non-uniqueness of the continuation of a finite collection of harmonic potential field data to a level surface in the source-free region forces its treatment as an inverse problem. A formalism is proposed for the construction of continuation functions which are extremal by various measures. The problem is cast in such a form that the inverse problem solution is the potential function on the lowest horizontal surface above all sources, serving as the boundary function for the Dirichlet problem in the upper half-plane. The desired continuation, at the higher level of interest, must then be in the range of the upward continuation operator acting on this boundary function, rather than being allowed the full freedom of itself being part of a Dirichlet problem boundary function. Extremal solutions minimize non-linear functionals of the continuation function, which are re-expressed as different functionals of the boundary function. A crux of the method is that there is no essential distinction between the upward and downward continuation inverse problems to levels above or below data locations. Casting the optimization as a Lagrange multiplier problem leads to an integral equation for the boundary function, which is readily solved in the Fourier domain for a certain class of functionals. The desired extremal continuation is then given by upward continuation. It is found that for some functionals, application of the Lagrange multiplier theorem requires a further restriction on the set of allowable boundary functions: bandlimitedness is a natural choice for the continuation problem. With this imposition, the theory is developed in detail for semi-norm functionals penalizing departure from a constant potential, in the 2-norm and Sobelev norm senses, and illustrated by application for a small synthetic Deep Tow magnetic field data set.  相似文献

建立了一个任意地形和实际天气条件下,能够计算大范围、长时间、高时空分辨率的太阳入射短波辐射模型,模型采用简化的辐射传输参数化方案和NCEP/NCAR资料相结合的方法,并成功应用于黑河流域2002年度每小时、1 km×1 km分辨率的总辐射、直接辐射和散射辐射的计算,所应用的地面资料仅为流域的地形信息。鉴于模型中总辐射是根据直接辐射和散射辐射推算的,而黑河流域2002年度缺乏直接辐射和散射辐射实测资料,模型采用分别位于黑河山区西水、中游临泽和下游额济纳旗3套自动观测仪器的总辐射资料进行验证,西水实测总辐射与计算总辐射的R2=0.71,而临泽和额济纳旗R2分别为0.90和0.91,但各站点均出现部分结果相差很大的情况。出现地域差异和部分结果相差很大的主要原因是由于总云量资料时空分辨率低造成的,另外计算和实测数据空间尺度的不一致也部分造成山区计算效果较差。  相似文献

This paper presents a simple non-linear method of magnetotelluric inversion that accounts for the computation of depth averages of the electrical conductivity profile of the Earth. The method is not exact but it still preserves the non-linear character of the magnetotelluric inverse problem. The basic formula for the averages is derived from the well-known conductance equation, but instead of following the tradition of solving directly for conductivity, a solution is sought in terras of spatial averages of the conductivity distribution. Formulas for the variance and the resolution are then readily derived. In terms of Backus-Gilbert theory for linear appraisal, it is possible to inspect the classical trade-off curves between variance and resolution, but instead of resorting to linearized iterative methods the curves can be computed analytically. The stability of the averages naturally depends on their variance but this can be controlled at will. In general, the better the resolution the worse the variance. For the case of optimal resolution and worst variance, the formula for the averages reduces to the well-known Niblett-Bostick transformation. This explains why the transformation is unstable for noisy data. In this respect, the computation of averages leads naturally to a stable version of the Niblett-Bostick transformation. The performance of the method is illustrated with numerical experiments and applications to field data. These validate the formula as an approximate but useful tool for making inferences about the deep conductivity profile of the Earth, using no information or assumption other than the surface geophysical measurements.  相似文献

分布式水文模型的应用,其准确性有赖于输入数据对流域特征的描述,尤其在大尺度流域,输入数据分辨率的增加是否必然改善模型的模拟效果是值得深入研究的问题。本文以鄱阳湖信江流域为研究区,运用SWAT模型为模拟工具,分析了土壤数据空间分辨率对径流、蒸发及土壤含水量等水文要素模拟的影响以及高精度土壤数据在大流域尺度的适应性。结果表明:不同分辨率的土壤数据对SWAT模型中水文响应单元的划分结果差异显著,但在径流模拟和蒸发计算结果中并没有表现出显著的差别;模型率定前后,低分辨率土壤数据的径流模拟结果略好于高分辨率土壤数据,但两者之间的差别不明显;模型模拟的土壤含水量差异显著,高分辨率土壤模拟的月平均土壤含水量整体大于低分辨率土壤模拟结果;研究还发现,模型的蒸发计算对土壤分辨率信息不敏感。本文研究意味着,大尺度SWAT模型的应用中,土壤数据分辨率的提高不一定会改善模型的模拟效果。在具体应用中,应考虑流域本身的尺度以及模拟精度的要求,选择合适分辨率的土壤数据,同时应结合模型原理和关键参数的物理含义来解释模拟结果。  相似文献

首次从化学工程的角度 ,将盐田系统作为一类特殊的化学反应器和无机盐分离设备进行了详细的论述。在大量试验基础上 ,系统地分析和研究了 Na+,K+,Mg2 +∥Cl-,- H2 O四元水盐体系卤水在天然蒸发状态下的宏观蒸发动力学参数。从理论上对与卤水蒸发相关的多种参数进行了分析和合理简化 ,概述了卤水蒸发过程中的质量传递规律。并在此基础上通过计算机模拟方法建立了四元水盐体系高浓度卤水在特定地域中进行天然蒸发的卤水宏观蒸发动力学模型 ,证明了多种简化和理论假设的合理性。对该数学模型在盐湖卤水开发中的盐田设计、盐田生产的现代化自动管理和控制等进行了探讨。在卤水蒸发动力学模型建立的过程中 ,针对实际生产过程的需要 ,通过多种参数的分析 ,建立了多种参数关系  相似文献

The objective of a field development optimization process, or workflow, is to investigate various options and determine a course of action that will deliver the largest expected value from an asset. The analysis is often complicated by uncertainty in important inputs. Ideally, operators desire workflows and tools that integrate reservoir engineering and optimization principles in a fast-solving model that can be used to explore the full range of the uncertain inputs. This need is acute in the screening and concept selection stage where the primary objective is to determine the sensitivity of competing concepts to the sources of uncertainty. In these early stages, model results can be used to determine whether additional information should be collected, and to narrow down the number of competing options. The objective of this research is the development of a workflow and tool that integrates reservoir response surfaces within a project optimization model that contains facility and operational options, and to use this model to investigate the impacts of uncertainty on decision making. The integration of technical options is critical because a static view of capital investment and facility constraints causes a systematic undervaluation and can introduce error to development decisions. The new workflow and integrated reservoir-economic optimization tool developed in this research leverage methods and engineering work products that are already known to industry, for example, experimental design (ED) and response surface methods (RSMs). A demonstration is provided for a gas flood project using a stylized reservoir. Specifically, we investigate the selection of initial well configurations and injection capacities while simultaneously accounting for the options to update these decisions after production information is acquired in the early periods of production. The workflow is used to optimize the development of a gas flood. As a second step, the workflow is used to solve a value of information problem.  相似文献

以佛山市顺德区作为实证研究案例,采用野外调研、访谈等研究方法,剖析基塘与国土空间的协同发展机制,提出基于多功能基塘的国土空间治理策略。结果表明:顺德国土空间治理面临空间破碎化和空间嵌套分布、灾害与生态风险加剧、岭南水乡文化特色日渐流失等问题;协调基塘与不同地域子系统之间的功能耦合关系,发挥基塘对地域系统功能的支撑与协同作用,是实现国土空间协同发展和可持续利用的基础;实施基塘功能分区治理,保护集中连片基塘,整合基塘文化资源,推进基塘与村级工业园、村边塘、村心塘协同治理等策略,发挥基塘的多功能作用,有助于实现国土空间的安全、高效与可持续利用。  相似文献

This paper describes the method and results of a probabilistic risk analysis that was used to provide a quantitative basis for a complex and high-stakes design decision for a subsea oil project. Geologic properties were specified as probability density functions based on information from a small number of exploration and appraisal wells. The geological information was coupled to a wellbore fluid dynamics model to simulate operational outcomes for potential well kill operations. Conventional probabilistic sampling and a more efficient experimental design approach were both employed. The key results are cumulative density functions for critical bases of design that are used for risk analysis and final equipment selection. The analysis reinforces the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, in this case the subsurface disciplines and well engineering, to achieve efficient risk-based designs.  相似文献
