A piezo driven tilt mirror was developed and built as one component of an image motion compensation system for a solar telescope. The bandwidth of the mirror with a diameter of 60 mm is about 1 kHz with negligible phase shift between input signal and mirror response up to 900 Hz. The tilt range is 1.6 mrad. Special care was taken to maintain the surface quality of the mirror to better than /15 after fixing it to the substrate.  相似文献

This paper presents an analysis of an asteroid deflection method based on multiple solar concentrators. A model of the deflection through the sublimation of the surface material of an asteroid is presented, with simulation results showing the achievable impact parameter with, and without, accounting for the effects of mirror contamination due to the ejected debris plume. A second model with simulation results is presented analyzing an enhancement of the Yarkovsky effect, which provides a significant deflection even when the surface temperature is not high enough to sublimate. Finally the dynamical model of solar concentrators in the proximity of an irregular celestial body are discussed, together with a Lyapunov-based controller to maintain the spacecraft concentrators at a required distance from the asteroid.  相似文献

全日面矢量磁像仪(Full-disk vector MagnetoGraph, FMG)是先进天基太阳天文台(Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory, ASO-S)的主载荷之一,摆镜作为FMG稳像系统的重要组成部分,其力学性能是决定载荷观测指标的重要一环,需要对其进行仿真.设计了一种侧面固定的柔性支撑镜体结构,通过调整垫片厚度,可以得到由弹性压片提供的不同大小支持力.为了确定合理的支持力范围,建立3种不同参数模型,使用有限元软件对摆镜模型进行了在轨无重力环境的静力学仿真以及摆镜摆动频率为100 Hz、摆幅为±0.1 mrad时的动力学仿真,并进一步分析了地面有重力试验环境对面形的影响.仿真结果表明所设计的摆镜机构模型均满足通光口径内静态和动态的面形波峰波谷差(PeakValley, PV)小于1/10波长,面形均方根误差(Root Mean Square, RMS)小于1/40波长的光学系统要求,地面有重力环境不会对面形产生显著影响.在仿真结果的基础上,对其中一种模型进行加工装配和实际测试,测试结果表明摆镜结构设计合理,仿真计算结果有效.  相似文献

A numerical model is presented to simulate the influence function of deformable mirror actuators. The numerical model is formed by Bessel Fourier orthogonal functions, which are constituted of Bessel orthogonal functions and a Fourier basis. A detailed comparison is presented between the new Bessel Fourier model, the Zernike model, the Gaussian influence function and the modified Gaussian influence function. Numerical experiments indicate that the new numerical model is easy to use and more accurate compared with other numerical models. The new numerical model can be used for describing deformable mirror performances and numerical simulations of adaptive optics systems.  相似文献

Temporal variations of a solar pore were observed at the ground based Vacuum Tower Telescope (VTT) on Tenerife and with the satellite TRACE. At the VTT Stokes I and V of the iron line at 1.56μm originating in the deep photosphere, was measured. TRACE delivered UV images at 170 nm which show chromospheric continuum. In a part of the pore we find oscillations of the magnetic field in the 5 minute range. Velocities derived from shifts of the Stokes V profiles show 5 minutes everywhere in the pore, but the coherence of magnetic field and velocities is low. The intensity at 170 nm varies with 3 minutes, and for a part of the whole time series additionally with 4 minutes.  相似文献

A low-order Adaptive Optics (AO) system is being developed at the Udaipur Solar Observatory and we present in this paper the status of the project, which includes the image stabilization system and calibration of wavefront sensor and deformable mirror. The image stabilization system comprises of a piezo driven tip-tilt mirror, a high speed camera (955 fps), a frame grabber system for sensing the overall tilt and a Linux based Intel Pentium 4 control computer with Red Hat Linux OS. The system operates under PID control. In the closed loop, an rms image motion of 0.1–0.2 arcsec was observed with the improvement factor varying from 10–20 depending on the external conditions. Error rejection bandwidth of the system at 0 dB is 80–100 Hz. In addition to that, we report the on-going efforts in the calibration of lenslet array and deformable mirror for sensing and correcting the local tilt of the wavefront.  相似文献

The solar vacuum telescopes VTT and GCT at Tenerife have been used to obtain high-resolution two-dimensional spectro-polarimetric observations of oscillations in the photospheric layers of sunspots. At the GCT the area of the sunspot has been scanned by shifting the spectrograph slit; at the VTT a Fabry–Pérot interferometer has been applied to get narrow-band filtergrams directly and to scan through the line profile.The spectra of velocity oscillations show the known features of closely packed power peaks in bands of periods around 3 min (strengthened) and 5 min (weakened with respect to the quiet Sun). In the same frequency bands the more reliable VTT data show significant oscillations of the magnetic field strength as well, which could not be attributed to disturbing influences. Maximum power of both velocity and magnetic oscillations and a strong correlation between them, in the 3-min band in particular, is found to occur in those parts of the umbra where the magnetic lines of force are parallel to the line of sight. The oscillations are characterized by a marked spatial fine structure and a non-stationary behaviour.  相似文献

A wavelength calibration system based on a laser frequency comb (LFC) was developed in a co-operation between the Kiepenheuer-Institut für Sonnenphysik, Freiburg, Germany and the Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik, Garching, Germany for permanent installation at the German Vacuum Tower Telescope (VTT) on Tenerife, Canary Islands. The system was installed successfully in October 2011. By simultaneously recording the spectra from the Sun and the LFC, for each exposure a calibration curve can be derived from the known frequencies of the comb modes that is suitable for absolute calibration at the meters per second level. We briefly summarize some topics in solar physics that benefit from absolute spectroscopy and point out the advantages of LFC compared to traditional calibration techniques. We also sketch the basic setup of the VTT calibration system and its integration with the existing echelle spectrograph.  相似文献

We present a detailed model of stray-light suppression in the spectrometer channels of the Ultraviolet Coronagraph Spectrometer (UVCS) on the SOHO spacecraft. The control of diffracted and scattered stray light from the bright solar disk is one of the most important tasks of a coronagraph. We compute the fractions of light that diffract past the UVCS external occulter and non-specularly pass into the spectrometer slit. The diffracted component of the stray light depends on the finite aperture of the primary mirror and on its figure. The amount of non-specular scattering depends mainly on the micro-roughness of the mirror. For reasonable choices of these quantities, the modeled stray-light fraction agrees well with measurements of stray light made both in the laboratory and during the UVCS mission. The models were constructed for the bright H i Lyα emission line, but they are applicable to other spectral lines as well.  相似文献

We propose an application of knowledge engineering in the problem of active supporting for a large mirror. To reduce calculating load and to shorten cycle time, we divide the system hierarchically into a managing central controller and many autonomous local controllers, and use reasoning instead of dynamical analysis. A time series of broadband images of a sunspot near the disk center was obtained simultaneously in two wavelength bands at 0.56 μm and 1.55 μm at the German VTT on June 17, 1998. We computed intensity difference images of the best frame pairs which reveal information about the facular distribution in the present field of view. Faculae are found around pores, in the quiet granulation and as well around the sunspot penumbra.  相似文献

Statistical properties of solar granulation in an active region on the solar surface from the photosphere to the lower chromosphere are studied. We use the values of the velocity, intensity, and magnetic field that were obtained at different heights in the solar atmosphere according to the observation data on the VTT telescope at Observatorio del Teide, Tenerife. The changes in the line??s parameters (central depth of the line, halfwidth, equivalent width, and central depth shift) and convective velocity are presented as functions of the value of the magnetic field. We propose a 16-column model of solar granulation depending on the direction of motion of convective elements and on the sign of contrast at two heights??in the continuous spectrum and in the highest layer (h = 650 km). We found that the magnetic field impedes the change in the sign and motion direction of convective elements.  相似文献

Mirror matter models have been suggested recently as an explanation of neutrino puzzles and microlensing anomalies. We show that mirror supernovae can be a copious source of energetic gamma rays if one assumes that the quantum gravity scale is in the TeV range. We show that under certain assumptions plausible in the mirror models, the gamma energies could be degraded to the 10 MeV range (and perhaps even further) so as to provide an explanation of observed gamma-ray bursts. This mechanism for the origin of the gamma-ray bursts has the advantage that it neatly avoids the “baryon load problem”.  相似文献

The polarimetric Littrow Spectrograph POLIS is designed for vector polarimetry at high angular and spectral resolution. It measures the magnetic field simultaneously in the photosphere and the chromosphere of the sun. Both branches of the polarimetry unit are dual beam systems with a single rotating modulator for both wavelengths and polarizing beam splitters in front of each CCD camera. POLIS has been installed at the VTT on Tenerife and has seen First Light on 17 May 2002. A modified version of POLIS will be developed for the balloon mission Sunrise . That version will have UV capabilities down to 200 nm.  相似文献

The bounded quasi-periodic relative trajectories are investigated in this paper for on-orbit surveillance, inspection or repair, which requires rapid changes in formation configuration for full three-dimensional imaging and unpredictable evolutions of relative trajectories for non-allied spacecraft. A linearized differential equation for modeling J 2 perturbed relative dynamics is derived without any simplified treatment of full short-period effects. The equation serves as a nominal reference model for stationkeeping controller to generate the quasi-periodic trajectories near the equilibrium, i.e., the location of the chief. The developed model exhibits good numerical accuracy and is applicable to an elliptic orbit with small eccentricity inheriting from the osculating conversion of orbital elements. A Hamiltonian structure-preserving controller is derived for the three-dimensional time-periodic system that models the J 2-perturbed relative dynamics on a mean circular orbit. The equilibrium of the system has time-varying topological types and no fixed-dimensional unstable/stable/center manifolds, which are quite different from the two-dimensional time-independent system with a permanent pair of hyperbolic eigenvalues and fixed-dimensions of unstable/stable/ center manifolds. The unstable and stable manifolds are employed to change the hyperbolic equilibrium to elliptic one with the poles assigned on the imaginary axis. The detailed investigations are conducted on the critical controller gain for Floquet stability and the optimal gain for the fuel cost, respectively. Any initial relative position and velocity leads to a bounded trajectory around the controlled elliptic equilibrium. The numerical simulation indicates that the controller effectively stabilizes motions relative to the perturbed elliptic orbit with small eccentricity and unperturbed elliptic orbit with arbitrary eccentricity. The developed controller stabilizes the quasi-periodic relative trajectories involved in six foundational motions with different frequencies generated by the eigenvectors of the Floquet multipliers, rather than to track a reference relative configuration. Only the relative positions are employed for the feedback without the information from the direct measurement or the filter estimation of relative velocity. So the current controller has potential applications in formation flying for its less computation overload for on-board computer, less constraint on the measurements, and easily-achievable quasi-periodic relative trajectories.  相似文献

Blazars are the most violent steady/recurrent sources of high-energy gamma-ray emission in the known Universe. They are prominent emitters of electromagnetic radiation throughout the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The observable radiation most likely originates in a relativistic jet oriented at a small angle with respect to the line of sight. This review starts out with a general overview of the phenomenology of blazars, including results from a recent multiwavelength observing campaign on 3C279. Subsequently, issues of modeling broadband spectra will be discussed. Spectral information alone is not sufficient to distinguish between competing models and to constrain essential parameters, in particular related to the primary particle acceleration and radiation mechanisms in the jet. Short-term spectral variability information may help to break such model degeneracies, which will require snap-shot spectral information on intraday time scales, which may soon be achievable for many blazars even in the gamma-ray regime with the upcoming GLAST mission and current advances in Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope technology. In addition to pure leptonic and hadronic models of gamma-ray emission from blazars, leptonic/hadronic hybrid models are reviewed, and the recently developed hadronic synchrotron mirror model for TeV γ-ray flares which are not accompanied by simultaneous X-ray flares (“orphan TeV flares”) is revisited. 斜轴式望远镜是一种新颖的望远镜结构, 其独特的结构设计更适合南极等极端气候环境, 但目前国内外缺乏针对斜轴式望远镜详细的动力学建模与控制研究. 提出一套斜轴式望远镜动力学建模与鲁棒控制方法, 首先, 对斜轴式望远镜进行了动力学分析, 采用拉格朗日法建立望远镜2自由度刚体模型; 接着, 结合望远镜驱动系统的柔性和所受干扰, 完成了斜轴式望远镜的干扰情况下刚柔耦合系统数学模型的推导; 然后, 针对抗干扰问题, 根据所建数学模型, 设计了基于干扰观测器的滑模控制器, 对于所受干扰进行抑制, 实现了斜轴式望远镜的鲁棒控制; 最后, 仿真结果显示, 在考虑模型的非线性外部干扰的情况下, 相比于传统的比例-积分-微分控制器, 基于干扰观测器的滑模控制器使得系统具有更好的动态性能和抗干扰特性.  相似文献
