In astronomical observations at optical wavelengths, a fast image tracking system can be adopted to reduce the effects of the atmospheric seeing and telescopic tracking error, and therefore improve the observing efficiency. Aiming at the need of astronomical observations, totally 5 kinds of algorithms in two categories were selected to make a comparative study on their accuracies and stabilities under different noise conditions by both numerical experiment and laboratory test. The results indicate that the normalized cross-correlation method and barycenter method have not only a higher accuracy but also a better reliability against interferences, they will be applied to the high-resolution spectrograph of the Xinglong 2.16 m telescope and the scienti?c instruments of the SONG (Stellar Observations Network Group) project, respectively.  相似文献

In order to implement an observing strategy,image degradation that occurs during optical observation of space debris is ineluctable and has distinct characteristics. Image restoration is presented as a way to remove the influence of degradation in CCD images of space debris,based on assumed PSF models with the same FWHM as images of the object. In the process of image restoration,the maximum entropy method is adopted. The results of reduction using observed raw CCD images indicate that the precision in estimating positions of objects is improved and the effects of degradation are reduced. Improving the astrometry of space debris using image restoration is effective and feasible.  相似文献

Although tracking with a passive optical telescope is a powerful technique for space debris observation, it is limited by its sensitivity to dynamic background noise. Traditionally, in the field of astronomy, static background subtraction based on a median image technique has been used to extract moving space objects prior to the tracking operation, as this is computationally efficient. The main disadvantage of this technique is that it is not robust to variable illumination conditions. In this article,we propose an approach for tracking small and dim space debris in the context of a dynamic background via one of the optical telescopes that is part of the space surveillance network project, named the AsiaPacific ground-based Optical Space Observation System or APOSOS. The approach combines a fuzzy running Gaussian average for robust moving-object extraction with dim-target tracking using a particlefilter-based track-before-detect method. The performance of the proposed algorithm is experimentally evaluated, and the results show that the scheme achieves a satisfactory level of accuracy for space debris tracking.  相似文献

提出了一种空间目标与空间碎片碰撞预警的快速计算方法,该算法不仅计算速度快,而且减缓了沿迹误差的影响,延长了预警的有效期,利用该方法,检测一个卫星与5800个空间碎片在一天内是否碰撞,计算时间小于3秒;用2天前的资料,预报计算法国CERISE卫星和空间碎片的碰撞时间误差约为0.02秒,空间位置误差约为500—600米.  相似文献

本文分析了利用中国科学院陕西天文台的流星雷达进行人为空间碎片监测的可能性.详细计算了到达接收机的回波的信噪比S/N依赖于目标散射横截面。和高度距离R的关系。理论计算表明,利用陕西天文台的流星雷达完全有可能监测在200km至1200km的高度范围内,半径大于0.5m的人为空间碎片.  相似文献

An optical survey is the main technique for detecting space debris. Due to the specific characteristics of observation, the pointing errors and tracking errors of the telescope as well as image degradation may be significant, which make it difficult for astrometric calibration. Here we present an improved method that corrects the pointing and tracking errors, and measures the image position precisely. The pipeline is tested on a number of CCD images obtained from a 1-m telescope administered by Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory while observing a GPS satellite. The results show that the position measurement error of the background stars is around 0.1 pixel, while the time cost for a single frame is about 7.5 s; hence the reliability and accuracy of our method are demonstrated. In addition, our method shows a versatile and feasible way to perform space debris observation utilizing non-dedicated telescopes, which means more sensors could be involved and the ability to perform surveys could be improved.  相似文献

A formula for determining density at the barycenter of a planet is derived. The calculated values of densities correspond well to observational data, with the obtained range of density variation facilitating the construction of more reliable mass distributions. In March 2019 the first dedicated of optical observation of space debris and artificial satellites (Optical Satellites Tracking Station (OSTS)) in Egypt has been performed by National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) at Kottamia Observatory. The 0.28 m Telescope is used for tracking and surveying debris and operational satellites at Low Earth Orbit (LEO), High ellipse orbit (HEO) and the Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO). OSTS has also collaborated with International Scientific Optical Network (ISON) for optical observation. The necessary programs to control the telescope, camera and monitoring process are configured. Coordinate corrected metric data is provided with the time information. The system has validated and calibrated processing. The first results of the observations with image processing using Apex-2 software are presented. The optical observations using OSTS are being used to help characterize the debris environment in LEO, HEO and GEO to assist in the modeling projections for space debris database, real population and distribution, detection and orbital determination, and conjunction analysis between operational satellites and/or dangers debris.  相似文献

利用脉冲星钟模型能高精度地预报脉冲星脉冲到达太阳系质心的时间。基于脉冲星时、空参考架可实现各类空间飞行器的自主导航。讨论了脉冲星钟的模型和脉冲星导航系统的框架结构,描述了脉冲星导航的基本原理和算法。指出脉冲星导航系统对脉冲星脉冲到达探测器时刻的测量精度,是决定空间飞行器位置解算精度的关键因素。脉冲星导航观测采用的原子钟如果足够稳定,则空间飞行器位置的解算方法可以简化。在脉冲星导航系统计时观测精度达到或优于几十微秒量级时,脉冲星视差、相对论效应的影响是不可忽略的。对脉冲星导航系统开发设计中的关键技术和进一步研究的主要问题进行了初步分析和讨论。  相似文献

The lunisolar perturbation is the principal factor that causes variation in the orbit of a GTO (geosychronous transfer orbit) space debris. In the present article the analytical expression of the long-periodic term of the altitude of the GTO orbital perigee caused by the lunisolar perturbation is derived, and the basic characteristics of the variation of the perigee caused by the lunisolar perturbation are analyzed. A method of selecting a launch window that will help to improve the space debris situation is given, and its correctness is tested and verified through simulation calculation.  相似文献

This paper gives a de?nite integration method for calculating the inclination function and its derivative, which has a very simple expression, and the accuracies as high as 10-15 for the inclination function, and 10-13 for its derivative, comparable with the accuracy of Gooding's method. By through a lot of numerical simulations, it is proved that this method has a good stability and an wide applicable range of inclinations, hence it can be used to calculate the inclination function to the maximum order of Lmax ≤ 50.  相似文献

In the observation of space objects with a full-frame transfer CCD camera, the camera shutter is often removed, and therefore the smeared images are produced, which affect seriously the object detection and location. Based on the difference of geometrical morphology between star images and smears, a mathematical morphology method is proposed to process the smeared images. By comparing the position accuracies of stars and space objects before and after processing, it is veri?ed that the morphological method can effectively remove the smears from astronomical images, and can signi?cantly improve the detection rates and position accuracies of stars and moving objects. The result indicates that this is an effective method to eliminate the smearing effect.  相似文献

From the point of view of the non-parametric statistics, a general estimation method of the accuracy and con?dence interval of preliminary orbit determination is proposed for the occasion without any other information but observational data. Based on the bootstrap method, the estimation relies only on the observational data and does not require the precise orbit determination as a reference, or the assumption of normal distribution of observational errors. Numerical experiments show that this method is very simple in implementa- tion, and may serve as an easy accuracy evaluation for the preliminary orbit determination and for the follow-up employments.  相似文献

随着航天活动的增加,产生的空间碎片也越来越多,空间环境日趋恶化,已经对人类的空间活动构成了威胁。监视测量这些空间碎片,天基光电比地基光电更为有利,而天基光电的光学可见条件与地基光电相比,有相似的,也有不同的,针对天基光电,给出了空间碎片的光学可见条件,即日光条件、地影条件、地光条件、地球背景条件、月光条件。在天基光电轨道特征、光学可见条件及天基光电坐标系已知的情况下,建立起天基光电预报方法。既可用于空间碎片预报,也可以用于空间碎片的轨道识别。  相似文献

Space debris are increasing around the Earth. The observation of space debris is a key issue for the investigation and monitoring of space environment. But the observation opportunities and the detection ability are limited in existing monostatic radar systems. This paper proposes a bistatic radar which is composed of a transmitting station and a receiving-only station. A carrier wave modulated by PN-PSK signals is used in combination with a VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometry) recorder for range measurement between space debris and stations. The receiving radio wave is processed on the basis of VLBI techniques. Accordingly, the system is shown to have significant advantages over a monostatic radar. We actually formed a bistatic radar system, and observed a satellite in order to experimentally verify the validity. The configuration of the system, data analysis and the experimental results are described.  相似文献

Solar ?ares are important events for the space weather. The predic- tion of relevant parameters of solar ?ares has practical signi?cance for evaluating the effect of sudden ionospheric disturbance (SID). The data of soft X-ray ?ux observed by the GOES-8 satellite in the 23th solar cycle are used to predict the peak intensities and ending times of X-class ?ares with the method of data ?t- ting. Using this method to analyze the X-class ?ares in the 23th solar cycle, it is possible to predict the peak ?ux of an X-class ?are 17 minutes in advance at most. And the ending time of an X-class ?are may be predicted about 60 minutes in advance at most. The predicted results indicate that the prediction method has certain effectiveness and applicability.  相似文献

The processes of space debris formation are described; the urgency of the problem of its removal from near-Earth space is noted. A method to prevent the clogging of space by equipping a spacecraft to be launched into orbit with additional devices, simple in design and mode of operation, is presented. The results of the estimation of aerothermodynamics, bulk–mass characteristics and trajectories of low-orbit spacecraft equipped with a space debris disposal system are presented.  相似文献

Comprehensive analysis of space debris rotational dynamics is vital for active debris removal missions that require physical capture or detumbling of a target. We study the attitude motion of large space debris objects that admittedly pose an immediate danger to space operations in low Earth orbits. Particularly, we focus on Sun-synchronous orbits (SSO) with altitude range 600–800 km, where the density of space debris is maximal. Our mathematical model takes into account the gravity-gradient torque and the torque due to eddy currents induced by the interaction of conductive materials with the geomagnetic field. Using perturbation techniques and numerical methods, we examine the deceleration of the initial fast rotation and the subsequent transition to a relative equilibrium with respect to the local vertical. A better understanding of the latter phase is achieved owing to a more accurate model of the eddy-current torque than in most prior research. We show that SSO precession is also a crucial factor influencing the motion properties. One of its effects is manifested at the deceleration stage as oscillations of the angular momentum vector about the direction to the south celestial pole.  相似文献

The formation of space debris as an accumulation of small heavenly bodies in near-Earth space is considered. How debris can arise in near-Earth space is described. The accumulation of debris is shown to have a ring structure. The formation and spatial distribution of debris are statistically analyzed.
