A theory with variable gravitational constant, based on the bimetric formulation of general relativity, is suggested. It is in agreement with the Newtonian and post-Newtonian approximations of the theory of gravitation when the theory parameter ||4×10–6. The statical spherical-symmetric distribution of gravitating masses is investigated. It is shown that the total action (including the own gravitational field of the system)S=–M, where is the time in the remote system of reference, relative to which the celestial body is in rest. In the Brans-Dicke theory ||1 andSM. The Tolman formula for the massM in the Einstein theory is also valid in the suggestedGeneralized Bimetric Theory of Gravitation. External analytical and internal numerical solutions of the field equations are found for the case of incompressible matter. It is shown that static and supermassive configurations may exist if –0.13<0.  相似文献

This study is based primarily on the calculations of comet orbits over ~ 106 years for 160 short-period comets by Harold F. Levison and Martin J. Duncan from which there are calculated ablation AGES. There are positive statistical correlations (having many deviations) with radial nongravitational forces, comet activity measures, and dust-to-gas ratios in the spectra, in the sense that comets of greater AGES tend to be less active and to show less dust in their spectra than comets of lesser AGES.Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics  相似文献

Vibrational transition probabilities, namely Franck—Condon factors and -centroids have been evaluated by an approximate analytical method for the (A–X), (A–X), and (A–X) system of YO molecule. Morse potential energy curves forX 2+,A 22,A22, andA22, states of YO have been constructed using the latest spectroscopic data. The value of -centroids for the band have been found to decrease linearly with the corresponding wavelengths. We show results for two new transitions of (A–X) and (A–X) and five new bands of (A–X) of YO in the umbral spectrum of the Sun.  相似文献

The diagramV - log(1 +z e ) as function of (, ) is considered for the quasars. HereV is the apparent visual magnitude,z e is the emission line redshift, and are the equatorial coordinates. Two opposite extreme spots NE and SE are observed on the sky, where the inclination of the straight line fitting the dependenceV - log(1 +z e ) is maximum and minimum. The coordinates of the centres of these extreme spots are ( NE, NE) = (282°, +42°) and ( SE, SE) = (70°, -38°) with errors 5°. A hypothesis of the Superattractor (SA) is proposed to explain such an effect. Two independent tests of this hypothesis are realized. First, the dependence or the frequency a of the absorbers in QSO spectra on (, ) is investigated. A region of the larger a is found. The coordinates of its centre are (, ) = (82°, - 10°) with error 5°. Second, the cases ofz a >z e are plotted in the Mercatorial projection (, ). The most of the casesz -z e > 0.02 are concentrated within the circle with radiusR = 34° and centre (, ) = (50°, - 15°). The both anomalous regions overlap the Southern extreme spot around SE. The SA direction is (, ) = (67°, -21°) with errors about 12°. The redshift of SA isz SA = 1.7 ± 0.3 that corresponds to the distancer SA = (3100 ± 300)h –1 Mpc for the Hubble constantH 0 = 75h kms–1 Mpc–1. The SA mass isM SA ~ 1018-1020 M . The orientation of the normal to the quasiperiodical large-scale sheet structure on the sky occurs near SA.  相似文献

We determine the momentum distribution of the relativistic particles near the Crab pulsar from the observed X- and -ray spectra (103109 eV), provided that the curvature radiation is responsible for it. The power law spectrum for the relativistic electrons,f() –5, reproduces a close fit to the observed high-energy photon spectrum. The theoretically determined upper limit to the momentum (due to radiation damping), M 8×106, corresponds to the upper cut-off energy of the -ray spectrum, 109 eV. The lower limit to the momentum, m 1.8×105, is chosen such that flattening of the X-ray spectrum below 10 keV is simulated. The number density of these electrons is found to be much higher than the Goldreich-Julian density. We also discuss pulse shape and polarization of high-energy photons. The extremely high density of particles and the steep momentum spectrum are difficult to understand. This may imply that another, more efficient, mechanism is in operation.  相似文献

Archshaped structures above or around sunspot groups are considered as tracers of the magnetic lines of force. A study of the chromospheric contribution to the 3D general pattern is necessary to quantify this relationship. The emissive features detected in nine different active regions (AR) and observed on the disk at different levels in the chromosphere have been analysed (6 maps/AR). A good spatial correspondence is found between the maxima of Ca II K3 and H emissions. Eleven archshaped structures may be easily interpreted as loops. The footpoints are located on both sides of an inversion region in the magnetic field. They always avoid the local maxima and minima of the photospheric line-of-sight magnetic fields (H ) pattern independent of the heliographic longitude. This suggests that the magnetic lines of force may have an oblique direction relative to the solar surface.Underneath the footprints, H is about 400–500 G and V the line-of-sight component of velocity in the photosphere) is less than 100 m s-1 (frequently involving an inversion of velocity sign, i.e., V = 0 line). The mean distance between the feet of the arches is about 30000 km. Height is variable: the arches are lower in the young AR, higher when it evolves, scarcely or not detectable when the AR is dying. The maximum peaks in K 1 v(the blue wing of K line) are observed at the periphery of the highest values of H and K 3 intensities, or at the periphery of the AR.There are no great morphological differences between the slowly-varying arches and the flaring ones. However, a new relation is found between these two kinds of chromospheric features: at the maximum of flares, the flaring arch has one of its footpoints in common with a closer stable, pre-existing arch.On leave from Nanjing University, China.  相似文献

An exact analysis of the effects of mass transfer on the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past an uniformly accelerated vertical porous and non-porous plate has been presented on taking into account the free convection currents. The problem of single Compton scattering is considered and the resulting spectrum, angular distribution and polarization of scattered photons in a general case are obtained. The inverse Compton scattering (ICS) for arbitrary energies of electronsE and photons 0 is investigated in detail. In the case of isotropically-distributed initial photons and relativistic electrons, a strong rise of the scattered spectrum near the upper edge takes place, starting from the values of the characteristic parameterb4E 010 (in units of mc2=1). The energy-loss rate of relativistic electrons due to ICS is calculated. It is shown that the relativistic electrons of the energiesE100 MeV, when scattering on the X-rays with 0~10KeV, transmit the dominant part of their energy to the photons which fall after scattering into the energy range of the electrons (100 MeV).The radiation spectrum of ICS, as well as the energy-losses of relativistic electrons distributed by power-lawE , are calculated. The radiation spectrum reveals the power-law behaviour with the different indices in two limits: the dependence –(1)/2 at 01 gradually changes to –(+1) ln (0) law for 01.  相似文献

Time-sequenced H filtergrams and narrow-band blue filtergrams (0 = 4308 Å, = 10 Å) of umbral dots in a decaying sunspot were studied. The results are: (a) Photospheric umbral dots have lifetimes of about 40 min. (b) Two types of proper motion were found for photospheric umbral dots. Umbral dots born in the umbra or in the light bridge show virtually no proper motion. On the other hand, umbral dots of penumbral origin move inward to the umbra with speeds of about 0.4 km s –1. (c) Chromospheric umbral dots, which have dimensions of 0.6 × 1.2 in the mean, were more numerously found than photospheric umbral dots. (d) Photospheric umbral dots were observed to be associated with chromospheric umbral dots. Thus umbral dots are not phenomena confined to photospheric levels but also extend to chromospheric levels. (e) Some of the chromospheric umbral dots are unrelated to the photospheric umbral dots. They may be excited by the infalling matter from the umbral corona.Contribution from the Kwasan and Hida Observatories, University of Kyoto, No. 266.  相似文献

The phonon excitation spectrum of Coulomb lattice in the neutron star crusts is studied by solving Dyson's equation for phonons. It is shown that a strong renormalization of the phonon spectrum occurs at densities s /4 for the crustal matter compositions with spherical nuclei, which imply relatively small nuclear mass numbers and charges. It is shown that, the lattice becomes unstable against density fluctuations above a critical density of the order of s /3, where s 2.6x1014 g cm–3 is the nuclear saturation density. The neutron quasiparticle spectrum and the virtual mass of a nucleus are briefly discussed.  相似文献

General theory of electrical conductivity of a multicomponent mixture of degenerate fermions in a magnetic fieldB, developed in the preceding article (this volume), is applied to a matter in neutron star interiors at densities 0, where 0 = 2.8×1014 g cm–3 is the standard nuclear matter density. A model of free-particle mixture ofn, p, e is used, with account for appearance of -hyperons at > c , where c 40. The electric resistivities along and acrossB, and , and the Hall resistivity H are calculated and fitted by simple analytical formulae at c and > c for the cases of normal or superfluid neutrons provided other particles are normal. Charge transport alongB is produced by electrons, due to their Coulombic collisions with other charged particles; is independent ofB and almost independent of the neutron superfluidity. Charge transport acrossB at largeB may be essentially determined by other charged particles. If c , one has = [1 + (B/B 0)2] for the normal neutrons, and for the superfluid neutrons, while H = B/B e for both cases. HereB e 109 T 8 2 G,B 01011 T 8 2 G, andT 8 is temperature in units of 108 K. Accordingly for the normal neutrons atBB 0, the transverse resistivity suffers an enhancement, 1/4 1. When 50 andB varies from 0 toBB p 1013 T 8 2 G, increases by a factor of about 103–104 and H changes sign. WhenBB p , remains constant for the superfluid neutrons, and H B 2 for the normal neutrons, while H B for any neutron state. Strong dependence of resistivity onB, T, and may affect evolution of magnetic fields in neutron star cores. In particular, the enhancement of at highB may noticeably speed up the Ohmic decay of those electric currents which are perpendicular toB.  相似文献

The [SI] lines are due to transitions within the 3s23p4 ground configuration of neutral sulphur. The results are presented from a search for the [Si] lines in the Fraunhofer spectrum. Two identifications are proposed with faint features in the Fraunhofer spectrum: 1D2-1S0 at = 7725.02 Å and 3P2-1D2 at = 10821.23 Å. Their measured equivalent widths are shown to confirm the value for the solar abundance of sulphur, logN S = 7.21 (in the scale logN H = 12.00), which is derived from the permitted high-excitation lines. These lines give the first convincing identification of [Si] lines in an astrophysical source.  相似文献

As a consequence of the Taylor–Proudman balance, a balance between the pressure, Coriolis and buoyancy forces in the radial and latitudinal momentum equations (that is expected to be amply satisfied in the lower solar convection zone), the superadiabatic gradient is determined by the rotation law and by an unspecified function of r, say, S(r), where r is the radial coordinate. If the rotation law and S(r) are known, then the solution of the energy equation, performed in this paper in the framework of the ML formalism, leads to a knowledge of the Reynolds stresses, convective fluxes, and meridional motions. The ML-formalism is an extension of the mixing length theory to rotating convection zones, and the calculations also involve the azimuthal momentum equation, from which an expression for the meridional motions in terms of the Reynolds stresses can be derived. The meridional motions are expanded as U r(r,)=P 2(cos)2(r)/r 2+P 4(cos)4(r)/r 2 +..., and a corresponding equation for U (r,). Here is the polar angle, is the density, and P 2(cos), P 4(cos) are Legendre polynomials. A good approximation to the meridional motion is obtained by setting 4(r)=–H2(r) with H–1.6, a constant. The value of 2(r) is negative, i.e., the P 2 flow rises at the equator and sinks at the poles. For the value of H obtained in the numerical calculations, the meridional motions have a narrow countercell at the poles, and the convective flux has a relative maximum at the poles, a minimum at mid latitudes and a larger maximum at the equator. Both results are in agreement with the observations.  相似文献

The equations for the variation of the osculating elements of a satellite moving in an axi-symmetric gravitational field are integrated to yield the complete first-order perturbations for the elements of the orbit. The expressions obtained include the effects produced by the second to eighth spherical harmonics. The orbital elements are presented in the most general form of summations by means of Hansen coefficients. Due to their general forms it is a simple matter to estimate the perturbations of any higher harmonic by simply increasing the index of summation. Finally, this paper gives the respective general expressions for the secular perturbations of the orbital elements. Some peculiarities in the behaviour of a model self-gravitating system described by hydrodynamical equations and isothermal equation of state connected with the presence of thermodynamical fluctuations in real systems were investigated in numerical experiment. The values of density and velocity , , respectively, were computed by numerical code perturbed on each time-step and in each computational cell by random values , for modeling such fluctuations. Perturbed values i = i + i ,v i = i + v i were used to initiate the next step of computations. This procedure is equivalent to an introduction into original hydrodynamical equations of Langevin sources which are random functions. It is shown that these small fluctuations (= v =0,2 =v 2 = 10–8) grow many times in marginally-stable state.  相似文献

The data on the spectrum of the cosmic-ray electron component near the earth, on the radio-spectra of radio-galaxies, quasars and the Crab Nebula, as well as the data pertaining to the X-ray spectrum of the cosmic background, all agree that the sources of cosmic-ray electrons (such as supernovae and galactic nuclei) inject particles characterized by a power spectrumN(E)=KE –0, with 01.5–2.5. A mechanism is known in which the source emits a proton-nuclear component of cosmic rays with a spectrumN n (E)=K n E n, n = + 2, =w cr/(ww cr), wherew cr is the cosmic-ray energy density in the source, andw=w cr+w n+w turb, the total energy density. We obtain =2.5 in agreement with observations on the natural assumption that =0.5. Within the framework of the same model with some additional assumptions, the electrons in the source, as well as those ejected by the source, are shown to have a power-spectrum characterized with 0 n = + 2. Thus the model discussed gives an adequate spectrum for both the proton-nuclear and the electron components of cosmic rays.  相似文献

A method of multi-cloud model (MCM) is proposed in this paper in order to research asymmetric profiles of spectral line formed by solar discrete active objects aligned along the line-of-sight difection. Based on the MCM method, under the conditions of certain assumptions and approximations, the line-of-sight velocityV and three other physical parameter approximation values, (i.e. Doppler width D , source functionS and optical depth at line center 0) within different clouds may be derived simultaneously by fitting both profiles theoretical and observational. An application example of the method withm=3 shows that MCM method is suitable to measure the velocity fields of multi-object at the same time from their non-Gaussian profiles of complex. TheV and D derived from the method are reliable,S and 0 are approximation. An influence of the variations of initial values in the parameter on the solution is given as well.  相似文献

In the present paper, the effects of free convection currents and the viscous dissipation on the unsteady flow of an electrically conducting and viscous incompressible fluid around an uniformly accelerated vertical porous plate subjected to a suction or injection velocity inversely proportional to the square root of time, in presence of a transverse magnetic field, have been investigated. Analytical solutions for the velocity and the temperature distributions, the skin-friction and the rate of heat transfer are obtained for small magnetic parameterM. It is shown that X-ray radiation of neutron stars with magnetic fieldsB=1011–1013 G near cyclotron resonances=s B (s=1,2,...) is deeply affected by such quantum effects as electron-positron vacuum polarization (significant at V=3×1028 n e –1 (B/B C 4)1, whereB C =4.4×1013G), the quantizing character of the magnetic field (significant atV=3 x 1028 n e –1 (B/B c)41 whereB c =4.4 x 1013G), the non-harmonic character of the Landau levels, and the quantum recoil of electrons. The latter two factors shift the resonances by the frequency –s 2 B (B/2B c )sin2, being the angle between the direction of radiation propagation and the magnetic field. IfVV 0 (for 1,V 0–1=(mc 2/2T)1/2), the normal mode (NM) polarizations, as well as the absorption coefficientk 1 of the extraordinary NM in the Doppler core of the first resonance (|–| B cos ), is only slightly affected by varyingb and/orV, whereas for the ordinary NM (at 1)k 2k 1 2[b + (3 + tan2–2V)2]k 1. For sufficiently largeb and/orV the quantum effects amplify resonant absorption of the ordinary NM at B , with spin-flip transitions playing a major role atb1+V 2. IfVV 0, the coefficientsk 1 andk 2 in the Doppler core of the resonance are of the same order and acquire some peculiar features (shifts, intersections, etc.), with the NM polarizations depending sharply on and being strongly non-orthogonal. AtVV 0,k 2=k 1(cos2 +B/2B C ) and the polarizations are almost linear. Near high resonances (s2), as a rule,k 1,2(1 + b) s–1 2s–3 i.e., absorption increases withb due to replacement of the thermal energy of the transverse motion of electron,T, by the magnetic energy B . The above effects should be taken into account for an interpretation of observational data on X-ray pulsars (e.g., Her X-1) and other X-ray sources associated with neutron stars.  相似文献
