The large water-pumping and particle-capturing gills of the filter-feeding blue mussel Mytilus edulis are oversized for respiratory purposes. Consequently, the oxygen uptake rate of the mussel has been suggested to be rather insensitive to decreasing oxygen concentrations in the ambient water, since the diff usion rate of oxygen from water flowing through the mussel determines oxygen uptake. We tested this hypothesis by measuring the oxygen uptake in mussels exposed to various oxygen concentrations. These concentrations were established via N2-bubbling of the water in a respiration chamber with mussels fed algal cells to stimulate fully opening of the valves. It was found that mussels exposed to oxygen concentrations decreasing from 9 to 2 mg O_2/L resulted in a slow but significant reduction in the respiration rate, while the filtration rate remained high and constant. Thus, a decrease of oxygen concentration by 78% only resulted in a 25% decrease in respiration rate. However, at oxygen concentrations below 2 mg O_2/L M. edulis responded by gradually closing its valves, resulting in a rapid decrease of filtration rate, concurrent with a rapid reduction of respiration rate. These observations indicated that M.edulis is no longer able to maintain its normal aerobic metabolism at oxygen concentration below 2 mg O 2/L, and there seems to be an energy-saving mechanism in bivalve molluscs to strongly reduce their activity when exposed to low oxygen conditions.  相似文献

【目的】分析评价2010-2017年嵊泗马鞍列岛保护区海域的水质状况。【方法】采用水质有机污染指数(A)法进行水质有机污染评价,采用富营养化指数(E)法和营养状态质量指数(INQ)法进行水质富营养化评价。【结果】该保护区海域水质化学需氧量(COD)和溶解氧(DO)符合第一类海水水质标准,无机磷(DIP)含量有3个年份符合第一类海水水质标准,其余年份超过第一类但符合第二类海水水质标准,无机氮(DIN)质量浓度超标严重,2015年达到0.674 mg/L;叶绿素a(Chl-a)本底含量较高,适宜条件下使得浮游植物大量繁殖,Chl-a含量急剧上升,并容易诱发赤潮;有机污染指数评价显示,2012-2015年水质有机污染状况达到中度污染以上,并且有3年达到严重污染级别,最大A值为2014年和2015年的4.10,2016年污染最轻,为开始受到污染级别;富营养化指数和营养状态质量指数评价显示,最大E值和INQ值分别为2012年的4.29和2010年的8.59,DIN含量高是富营养化的主要贡献因子。【结论】该保护区海域水质主要污染因子为DIN,水质有机污染状况呈现年度波动状态,水质富营养化较严重。  相似文献

With the development of industry and agriculture,nitrogen,phosphorus and other nutrients in the Hanshui River greatly increase and eutrophication has become an important threat to the water quality of the Hanshui River,especially in the middle and lower reaches.The primary objective of this study was to establish the water quality model for the middle and lower reaches of the Hanshui River based on the model of MIKE 11.The main pollutants migration and transformation process could be simulated using the water quality model.The rainfall-runoff model,hy-drodynamic model and water quality model were established using MIKE 11.The pollutants,such as chemical oxygen demand(COD),biochemical oxygen demand(BOD),ammonia nitrogen,nitrate nitrogen,phosphorus,dissolved oxy-gen(DO),were simulated and predicted using the above three models.A set of methods computing non-point source pollution load of the Hanshui River Basin was proposed in this study.The simulated and observed values of COD,BOD5,ammonia,nitrate,DO,and total phosphorus were compared after the parameter calibration of the water quality model.The simulated and observed results match better,thus the model can be used to predict water quality in the fu-ture for the Hanshui River.The pollution trend could be predicted using the water quality model according pollution load generation.It is helpful for government to take effective measures to prevent the water bloom and protect water quality in the river.  相似文献

Shrimps( Litopenaeus vannamei) were intensively cultured in a recirculating aquaculture system for 98 days to investigate effects of 0.3 mg/L Cu on its performance, Cu budget, and Cu distribution. Shrimps in Cu-treated systems had greater mean final weight(11.10 vs 10.50 g), body length(107.23 vs 106.42 mm), survival rate(67.80% vs 66.40%), and yield(6.42 vs 5.99 kg/m 3), and lower feed conversion ratio(1.20 vs 1.29) than those in control systems but the differences were not significant. Vibrio numbers remained stable(10 4 –10 6 colony forming units/mL) in the rearing tanks of both control and treated systems. Total ammonium-N, nitrite-N, nitrate-N, pH, chemical oxygen demand, 5-day carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand, and total suspended solids were similar in controls and treatments. Dissolved Cu concentration in the treated systems decreased from 0.284 to 0.089 mg/L while in the control systems it increased from 0.006 2 to 0.018 mg/L. The main sources of Cu in the treated systems were the artificially added component(75.7% of total input), shrimp feed(21.0%), water(2.06%), and shrimp biomass(1.22%). The major outputs of Cu occurred via the mechanical filter(41.7%), water renewal(15.6%), and draining of the sediment trap(15.1%). The foam fractionator removed only 0.69% of total Cu input. Harvested shrimp biomass accounted for 11.68% of Cu input. The Cu concentration of shrimps in the Cu-treated systems(30.70 mg/kg wet weight) was significantly higher than that in control systems(22.02 mg/kg). Both were below the maximum permissible concentration(50 mg/kg) for Cu in seafood for human consumption in China. Therefore, recirculating systems can be used for commercial on-growing of Litopenaeus vannamei without loss of shrimp quality, even in water polluted by 0.30 mg/L Cu. The mechanical filter is the main route for Cu removal.  相似文献

用质量指数法评价节水型斑节对虾养殖池的环境质量.将对照池海水平均质量指数与微生物调控的试验池比较,硫化物、DO、磷酸盐、COD分别高71%、43%、24%、8.3%,但非离子氨、无机氮分别低229%、122%.综合来看,试验池的水质优于对照池,对照池水质有轻微污染,污染因子是磷酸盐、COD、BOD;底质环境未受有机物和硫化物的污染,对照池有机物含量高于试验池,对照池硫化物含量低于试验池.  相似文献

Wetlands play a very important role in ecosystems. Qixinghe Wetland is a nature reserve area in northeastern China. In this paper, diatom communities and environmental qualities were investigated at eight sites in Qixinghe Wetland. This study was to examine diatom species patterns in relation to environmental variables in wetlands, and to use diatoms as indicators to water quality in wetlands and wetland classification. Diatoms were sampled in summers and autumns in 2002 and 2004, during which 180 taxa were identified. Environmental variations in pH, temperature, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were measured. The seasonal composition and abundance of diatoms changed greatly during the study period. The relationship between diatoms and chemical water quality was estimated statistically. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) with forward selection and Monte Carlo permutation tests revealed that all water environmental variables changed during the study period (P<0.05). Among all the parameters, variation in BOD among the sites was a very important determinant of species composition according to the CCA, and BOD decreased from 2002 to 2004. Our results suggest that the water quality had improved during the three-year period because of enhanced environmental protection with less human disturbance. We conclude that diatoms can be used to indicate water quality and habitat conditions in this wetland.  相似文献

To investigate the spatio-temporal and compositional variation of selected water quality parameters and understand the purifying effects of wetland in Fujin National Wetland Park(FNWP), China, the trophic level index(TLI), paired samples t-test and correlation analysis were used for the statistical analysis of a set of 10 water quality parameters. The analyses were based on water samples collected from 22 stations in FNWP between 2014 and 2016. Results initially reveal that total nitrogen(TN) concentrations are above class V levels(2 mg/L), total phosphorus(TP) concentrations are below class Ⅲ levels(0.2 mg/L), and that all other parameters fall within standard ranges. Highest values for TN, pH, and Chlorophyll-a were recorded in 2016, while the levels of chemical oxygen demand(COD_(Mn)) and biochemical oxygen demand(BOD5) were lowest during this year. Similarly, TN values were highest between 2014 and 2016 while dissolved oxygen(DO) concentrations were lowest in the summer and TP concentrations were highest in the autumn. Significant variations were also found in Secchi depth(SD), TN, CODMn(P 0.01), TP, and DO levels(P 0.05) between the inlet and outlet of the park. High-to-low levels of TN, TP, and TDS were found in cattails, reeds, and open water(the opposite trend was seen in SD levels). Tested wetland water had a light eutrophication status in most cases and TN and TP removal rates were between 7.54%–84.36% and 37.50%–70.83%, respectively. Data also show no significant annual changes in water quality within this wetland, although obvious affects from surrounding agricultural drainage were nevertheless recorded. Results reveal a high major nutrient removal efficiency(N and P). The upper limits of these phenomena should be addressed in future research alongside a more efficient and scientific agricultural layout for the regions in and around the FNWP.  相似文献

对湖泊富营养化状态的有效评价是对湖泊进行有效管理的重要手段之一。针对富营养化评价中的不确定性,拟采用概率方法——贝叶斯方法对富营养化状态进行评价。以水利部水利水电规划设计总院提出的《地表水富营养化控制标准》为评价标准,选取Chla、TP、TN、CODMn、SD5个指标,对我国19个湖泊应用贝叶斯方法进行富营养化评价,并应用两个实例对该方法在富营养化评价中的有效性进行了验证。结果表明,贝叶斯方法应用于湖泊富营养化评价具有简单、实用的特点。  相似文献

To realize potential cost savings in coastal monitoring programs and provide timely advice for marine management, there is an urgent need for efficient evaluation tools based on easily measured variables for the rapid and timely assessment of estuarine and offshore eutrophication. In this study, using parallel factor analysis(PARAFAC), principal component analysis(PCA), and discriminant function analysis(DFA) with the trophic index(TRIX) for reference, we developed an approach for rapidly assessing the eutrophication status of coastal waters using easy-to-measure parameters, including chromophoric dissolved organic matter(CDOM), fluorescence excitation–emission matrices, CDOM UV-Vis absorbance, and other water-quality parameters(turbidity, chlorophyll a, and dissolved oxygen). First, we decomposed CDOM excitation-emission matrices(EEMs) by PARAFAC to identify three components. Then, we applied PCA to simplify the complexity of the relationships between the water-quality parameters. Finally, we used the PCA score values as independent variables in DFA to develop a eutrophication assessment model. The developed model yielded classification accuracy rates of 97.1%, 80.5%, 90.3%, and 89.1% for good, moderate, and poor water qualities, and for the overall data sets, respectively. Our results suggest that these easy-to-measure parameters could be used to develop a simple approach for rapid in-situ assessment and monitoring of the eutrophication of estuarine and offshore areas.  相似文献

通过广西营盘海区插核育珠试验,比较6组不同的细胞小片处理液及珠核处理液的育珠效果。结果表明:1)处理组手术贝休养期的平均死亡率仅3.9%,显著低于对照组(10.9%)(P<0.01),表明处理液具有促进伤口愈合、抗感染、提高成活率的作用;2)处理组休养期吐核率与对照组差异不显著(P>0.05),说明处理液对增加组织亲和力的效果不明显;3)除Y2处理组外,其余处理组育珠4个月的成活率平均为77.0%,比对照组高出7.0%~14.5%,且W组的单位收珠数量及珍珠品质等均优于对照组,表明W组处理液在促进珍珠质分泌、提高成活率、成珠率方面的作用优于对照组。比较分析处理组在海南陵水、广东徐闻及广西营盘3海区的育珠效果,优化筛选出2个优良匹配方案即小片处理液W0、Y3与核处理液C3匹配。W0、Y3两试验组在广西营盘海区进行中试,结果发现,休养期死亡率(8.0%、7.3%)显著低于对照组(11.7%)(P<0.05),育珠4个月的死亡率(19.7%、18.3%)显著低于对照组(31.7%)(P<0.05);育珠8个月的W0组的成活率为73.6%,成珠率为54%、优珠率为61.1%,分别比对照组提高约12%,表明筛选出的W0、Y3两优良匹配组同样适用于营盘海区的插核育珠处理,可提高育珠效果。  相似文献

Individual participation of pollutants in the pollution load should be estimated even if roughly for the appropriate environmental management of a river basin. It is difficult to identify the sources and to quantify the load, especially in modeling nonpoint source. In this study a revised model was established by integrating point and nonpoint sources into one-dimensional Streeter-Phelps (S-P) model on the basis of real-time hydrologic data and surface water quality monitoring data in the Jilin Reach of the Songhua River Basin. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) and ammonia nitrogen (NH_3-N) loads were estimated. Results showed that COD loads of point source and nonpoint source were 134 958 t/yr and 86 209 t/yr, accounting for 61.02% and 38.98% of total loads, respectively. NH_3-N loads of point source and nonpoint source were 16 739 t/yr and 14 272 t/yr, accounting for 53.98% and 46.02%, respectively. Point source pollution was stronger than nonpoint source pollution in the study area at present. The water quality of upstream was better than that of downstream of the rivers and cities. It is indispensable to treat industrial wastewater and municipal sewage out of point sources, to adopt the best management practices to control diffuse pollutants from agricultural land and urban surface runoff in improving water quality of the Songhua River Basin. The revised S-P model can be successfully used to identify pollution source and quantify point source and nonpoint source loads by calibrating and validating.  相似文献

This paper proposed a semi-supervised regression model with co-training algorithm based on support vector machine, which was used for retrieving water quality variables from SPOT5 remote sensing data. The model consisted of two support vector regressors (SVRs). Nonlinear relationship between water quality variables and SPOT5 spectrum was described by the two SVRs, and semi-supervised co-training algorithm for the SVRs was established. The model was used for retrieving concentrations of four representative pollution indicators—permanganate index (CODmn), ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and dissolved oxygen (DO) of the Weihe River in Shaanxi Province, China. The spatial distribution map for those variables over a part of the Weihe River was also produced. SVR can be used to implement any nonlinear mapping readily, and semi-supervised learning can make use of both labeled and unlabeled samples. By integrating the two SVRs and using semi-supervised learning, we provide an operational method when paired samples are limited. The results show that it is much better than the multiple statistical regression method, and can provide the whole water pollution conditions for management fast and can be extended to hyperspectral remote sensing applications.  相似文献

本试验根据马氏珠母贝手术贝的不同生理状态,分别用控制海水流量、饵料等抑制贝的生殖腺发育,或促进生殖腺发育并诱导产卵排精的方法,对手术贝进行术前处理,结果表明:手术后休养期成活率平均为92.9%,最高的达95.3%;育珠期成活率平均为75.3%。最高的一组达85.3%;平均每个贝留核数1.06粒,最高的达1.17粒,同时珍珠质量明显提高。用术前处理方法,产量和产值可提高52.3%。  相似文献

通过海区插核育珠试验,对不同处理液匹配组进行进一步优化、筛选,找出适于广东育珠海区的育贝小片处理液及与之匹配的珠核处理液。结果表明:1)匹配适宜的处理液有降低吐核率的作用,8个试验小组中W0、Y3组的吐核率仅31%~32%,明显低于对照组的46.2%(P<0.01),说明匹配液有明显增加组织亲和力、降低吐核率的效果;2)育珠贝的死亡主要发生在育珠前期,与贝的吐核行为有关;3)小片处理液中,C类药物成分对吐核率的高低有影响,0.6%C2不适宜添加到处理液中,而1%C3添加到处理液中有降低吐核率的效果;4)筛选出W0、W1、Y3三组适宜的匹配方案,即W0、W1、Y3三种小片处理液与核处理液C3匹配适宜,其中W0匹配组育珠效果最佳,即成活率为57.8%,百贝收珠数为101.2粒、优珠率为67.5%,比传统处理组(对照组)有明显提高;5)对W0、W1、Y3三组的不同育珠时限(8、10、13个月)的育珠情况进行了比较,当育珠期延长至1年时,Y3组育珠效果良好;6)利用评价指数(即优质珍珠数占手术贝总数的比例)可评判育珠效果,与分析、综合评估结论一致,前者可量化评判数值,使评判更加直观,简易。  相似文献

An integrated methodology for eutrophication assessment,which integrates both water quality indicators(causative factors) and ecological response indicators(effect factors),is described.It is then applied to rank the eutrophication status of the years 2007 and 2008 in the southwest Bohai Sea.The assessment model identified that north Bohai Bay and west Laizhou Bay were the two areas with the most serious eutrophication problems in the southwest Bohai Sea.In addition,compared to that in the west Laizhou Bay,the eutrophication conditions in the north Bohai Bay was more serious in both years.Eutrophication problems such as harmful algal blooms(HABs) and low dissolved oxygen(DO) events in north Bohai Bay were frequent.The integrated method outmatched the currently used Chinese nutrient index method by definitely identifying areas with the most serious eutrophication problems,while the nutrient index method gave ambiguous results between the two years.Inclusion of both causative factors and effect factors,combining concentration,spatial coverage and frequency of indicators,as well as use of multi-season monitoring datasets in the methodology result in a more accurate,representative and useful assessment.  相似文献

简要介绍了东营黄河三角洲主要纳污河流,并分析了河流的水质特征及部分水质离子含量高的原因;取5个河流断面样品,分析化学需氧量、铜、铅、镁、汞、六价铬、镉、砷、氰化物、挥发酚及油类含量,发现油类污染最为严重,超标率为100%。河流水质污染主要来源于采油、炼化,其等标污染负荷比分别为74.85%和17.36%;主要污染企业有5个,按等标污染负荷比对其进行了排序,提出了一系列水污染控制措施。  相似文献

We assessed the potential of marine ciliate community as an indicator to coastal water quality using water samples collected from four stations in the Yellow Sea in the summer 2000. The four stations were characterized by different levels of pollution. The ciliate communities consisted primarily of tintinnids and aloricate ciliates that were <30 μm. A total of 78 species were classified: 55 species at Station 2, 51 species each at Stations 1 and 4, and 47 species at Station 3. The mean number of species at each site was 29.2±2.0 (Station 1), 28.5±2.9 (Station 2), 27.8±1.7 (Station 3), and 24.5±2.3 (Station 4). The abundance was highly variable: 19 331±11 187 ind./L at Station 1, 7 960±5 639 ind./L at Station 2, 29 015±12 999 ind./L at Station 3, and 8 190±4 658 ind./L at Station 4. Our results suggest that neither the simple chemical analysis (e.g. chemical oxygen demand, dissolved inorganic nitrogen, and phosphate) nor the eutrophication/pollution index adequately described the water quality at the four stations. The same was true of the number of species and their abundance, both of which had no correlation with the chemical indices. In contrast, Margalef’s diversity index values (3.12 at Station 2, 2.89 at Station 1, and 2.64 at Stations 3 and 4) generally discriminated the water quality status of the four stations. The difference in water quality among the stations was strongly supported by the pattern of species richness (i.e. the total number of species) of ciliates at each station. Our evaluation was consistent with the results of long-term water quality monitoring at the four stations. With increasing eutrophication, we observed also a compositional and functional shift in the ciliate assemblages from algivorous oligotrich/choreotrich to nonselective-omnivorous gymnostomatids to bacterivorous-detrivorous scuticociliatids. Thus, ciliates may be used to indicate the coastal water quality status of a given site.  相似文献
