In the present paper, iodine(I), iron(Fe), manganese(Mn), cobalt(Co), phosphorus(P) and calcium(Ca)contents in three ferromanganese crusts from the Pacific Ocean are measured by spectrophotometric method and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometers(ICP-AES) to investigate the contents and distribution of iodine in ferromanganese crusts. The results show that iodine contents in three crusts vary between 27.1 and 836 mg/kg, with an average of 172 mg/kg, and the profile of iodine in the three crusts all exhibits a two-stage distribution zone: a young non-phosphatized zone and an old phosphatized zone that is rich in I, P and Ca. The iodine content ratios of old to young zone in MP5D44, CXD62–1 and CXD08–1 are 2.3, 3.4 and 13.7, respectively.The boundary depths of two-stage zone in MP5D44, CXD62–1 and CXD08–1 locate at 4.0 cm, 2.5 cm and 3.75 cm,respectively, and the time of iodine mutation in three crusts ranges from 17–37 Ma derived from 129 I dating and Co empirical formula, which is consistent with the times of Cenozoic phosphatization events. The present study shows that the intensity of phosphatization is the main responsible for the distribution pattern of iodine in the crusts on the basis of the correlation analysis. Consequently, iodine is a sensitive indicator for phosphatization.  相似文献

于1987年5—6月间,中、西德在南海进行地球科学调查,获得5个铁锰结壳、6个铁锰结核样品。本文在利用X荧光法测定15个稀土元素的基础上,对南海铁锰结核(壳)的稀土丰度、配分模式与伴生元素的关系以及稀土的来源作了较为详细的探讨。研究表明,南海铁锰结核(壳)的平均丰度为1625×10~(-6),铁锰结核为2167×10~(-6),分别要比太平洋结核高1—2倍,比太平洋北部沉积物高3—4倍,比南海沉积物高10—20倍;结核和结壳的稀土经球粒陨石标准化后的配分模式基本相同,Ce正异常,Eu亏损不明显;与伴生元素、沉积物及岩石稀土对比研究表明,结核(壳)中稀土主要来自南海中酸性岩类风化、淋漓后缓慢沉积。  相似文献

全球三大洋海山钴结壳资源量估算   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
钴结壳具有Co、Ni、Cu和Mn及其他金属的潜在矿产资源和储存在结壳层中古环境信息的双重意义。与深海多金属结核和热液硫化物矿床相比,具有较高Co、Ni和Pt含量的海山钴结壳有可能成为商业勘探的潜在目标。为合理地估算出全球三大洋海山钴结壳资源量,基于我国西太平洋海山钴结壳拖网采样调查资料和对太平洋海山钴结壳资源分布规律和钴结壳矿区圈定参数指标的深入研究,按海山不同高度、不同洋壳年龄赋予不同结壳厚度,进而计算出全球三大洋海山钴结壳分布面积为3 039 452.14km2和干结壳资源量为(1 081.166 1~2 162.332 2)×108 t。太平洋海山钴结壳分布面积为2 123 087.12km2和干结壳资源量为(513.244~1 026.488)×108 t,大西洋海山钴结壳分布面积为512 509.74km2和干结壳资源量为(116.503 2~233.006 4)×108 t,印度洋海山钴结壳分布面积为403 855.28km2和干结壳资源量为(81.484 9~162.969 8)×108 t。三大洋海山钴结壳的Mn、Co、Ni和Cu金属量分别为(138.848 0~277.696 0)×108 t,(3.967 6~7.935 2)×108 t、(2.793 6~5.587 2)×108 t和(0.825 1~1.650 2)×108 t。根据钴结壳的Co含量、Co通量和厚度相关分析,所赋予的钴结壳厚度占理论推测厚度的6.10%~12.20%,这与Ku等得出"钴结壳生长时间约占其整个生命史4%"的认识非常相近。三大洋海山钴结壳实测厚度与赋值厚度对比分析表明,太平洋海山钴结壳赋值厚度平均值为1.87cm,实测厚度平均值为1.77cm,相对误差为5.35%,大西洋和印度洋相对误差分别为18.18%和23.23%。研究数据表明按海山高度和洋壳年龄所赋的钴结壳厚度基本合理,估算出的钴结壳资源量基本可靠。本文首次估算出三大洋海山钴结壳资源量,为整个海盆和三大洋海山钴结壳资源量估算提供了新方法。  相似文献

Ferromanganese nodules and crusts contain relatively high concentration of rare earth elements(REE) and yttrium(REY),with a growing interest in exploitation as an alternative to land-based REY resources.On the basis of comprehensive geochemical approach,the abundance and distribution of REY in the ferromanganese nodules from the South China Sea are analyzed.The results indicate that the REY contents in ferromanganese deposits show a clear geographic regularity.Total REY contents range from 69.1×10~(–6) to 2 919.4×10~(–6),with an average value of 1 459.5×10~(–6).Especially,the enrichment rate of Ce content is high,accounting for almost 60% of the total REY.This REE enrichment is controlled mainly by the sorption of ferromanganese oxides and clay minerals in the nodules and crusts.Moreover,the total REY are higher in ferromanganese deposits of hydrogenous origin than of diagenetic origin.Finally,Light REE(LREE) and heavy REE(HREE) oxides of the ferromanganese deposits in the study area can be classified into four grades: non-enriched type,weakly enriched type,enriched type,and extremely enriched type.According to the classification criteria of rare earth resources,the Xisha and Zhongsha platform-central deep basin areas show a great potential for these rare earth metals.  相似文献

铁锰结壳记录了丰富的古海洋和古气候信息,要分析这些信息,必须先确定各壳层的生长年龄。目前主要使用的定年方法有:Be同位素定年、U系同位素定年、Os同位素定年、经验公式法、古地磁地层学方法和古生物地层学方法等。每种定年方法均各有利弊,其中10Be是年龄小于10 Ma结壳的最佳定年方法; U系同位素定年精度高,但定年范围小于0.5 Ma; Os同位素定年时间尺度长,且可以判断沉积间断,但需要有区域的海水Os同位素演化曲线; Co经验公式因为简单易行,是结壳估算年龄最为常用的方法,但该法无法判断沉积间断,在使用时需特别谨慎,应确保经验公式适用于所研究的样品;如果结壳厚度大、生长速率较快且不存在沉积间断,古地磁地层学方法可以快速地进行定年;此外,如果结壳中古生物化石较多,可考虑采用古生物地层学方法。在分析铁锰结壳年代学方法利弊基础上,本文利用U系定年法、古地磁地层学法和经验公式计算法分别对南海铁锰结壳进行定年,通过比较,认为目前铁锰结壳较优的定年方法为古地磁地层学方法。  相似文献

The concentration of selenium in marine ferromanganese concretions varies between 0.02 and 1.2 mg kg−1, with an average of 0.6 mg kg−1. This is about two orders of magnitude lower than previously reported. In contrast to minor cationic elements, the concentrations of selenium are relatively uniform between ferromanganese concretions of different origins, except for hydrothermal crusts. It shows the same trends of element enrichment as other oxyanionic elements. The incorporation of selenium into ferromanganese concretions is attributed to adsorption of selenate on iron and manganese oxides.  相似文献

采用实验生态学方法,开展了汞胁迫下拟穴青蟹(Scylla paramamosain)的消化和免疫因子变动的研究。在实验室条件下,测定了0.00、0.005、0.01、0.02、0.04、0.08mg/L浓度Hg2+在1d、3d、5d、7d、9d胁迫时间下的消化和免疫因子变化。结果表明,汞胁迫下拟穴青蟹AMS活性快速升高,但激活效应随胁迫时间延长而逐渐下降,后期表现为抑制效应。汞胁迫能激发Pepsin活性,短期内Pepsin活性和胁迫浓度、胁迫时间呈正相关;长期高浓度胁迫(0.04、0.08mg/L),则激发效应减弱。汞胁迫对LPS活性的影响主要表现为抑制作用。免疫因子的研究结果表明,汞胁迫对AKP有激发作用,可迅速刺激机体AKP活力上升。低浓度汞胁迫对AKP活性提升最显著(0.005、0.01、0.02mg/L),高浓度组AKP活性先升后降。汞胁迫对ACP活性有激发作用,且存在显著的时间效应和浓度效应。汞胁迫下SOD活性短期内即显著升高,且SOD活力随胁迫时间延长而持续升高。汞胁迫对LZM活性有激活作用,且激活效应存在时间效应和浓度效应。汞胁迫对PO活力快速产生抑制作用,抑制作用存在时间效应而无显著的浓度效应。汞胁迫对拟穴青蟹消化和免疫因子能产生胁迫效应,对Pepsin、AMS、AKP、ACP、SOD、LZM表现为激发,而对LPS、PO表现为抑制。  相似文献

应用^129I的海洋学研究可分为3个方面:(1)人工^129I的年代学,利用人工放射性在沉积物岩心中的记录,包括以核试验全球最大沉降年1963年为参考时间和利用切尔诺贝利核电站事故发生的1986年作为参考时间的年代测定.(2)利用宇生^129I的年代学,测年体系主要有地热流体、天然气水合物扣石油地质体系.(3)利用核燃料后处理厂排放的^129I进行的海洋环流与混合研究.核试验和核事故释放的^129I测定的是现代沉积物年代,测年时间尺度为50a.人们提出人类利用原子能之前地球表层初始^129I丰度为1.5×10^-12。,并以该值作为利用宇生^129I估算年代的初始丰度值.半哀期和丰度探测下限水平允许宇生^129I可测年的时间尺度为80Ma.本文综述了以上几方面的研究进展.海洋多金属结核和结壳的生长速率为毫米每兆年量级,一块1~10cm大小的多金属结核和结壳所能涵盖的时间尺度约为10~100Ma,刚好是^129I测年的时间尺度,所以本文提出了多金属结核和结壳可能是合适的^129I测年介质的观点.  相似文献

We have measured helium isotopic ratios of thirty-seven Pacific water samples from various depths collected in adjacent regions of Honshu, Japan. The 3He/4He ratios vary significantly from 0.989 R atm to 1.208 R atm where R atm is the atmospheric ratio of 1.39 × 10−6. The mid-depth (750–1500 m) profile of 3He/4He ratios at ST-1 located Northwestern Pacific Ocean east of Japan (Off Joban; 37°00′ N, 142°40′ E) is significantly different from that at ST-2 of the Northern Philippine Sea south of Japan (Nankai Trough; 33°07′ N, 139°59′ E), suggesting that these waters were separated by a topographic barrier, the Izu-Ogasawara Ridge. Taking 3He/4He data of the Geosecs expeditions in the western North Pacific, an extensive plume of 15% excess 3He relative to the air may be traced at ST-1 over 12,000 kilometers to the northwest of the East Pacific Rise where the mantle helium may originate. The 20% excess found at ST-2 may be attributable to the additional source of the subduction-type mantle helium in the Okinawa Trough. A 15% excess of 3He has also been discovered at a depth of about 1000∼1500 m at ST-3 adjacent to Miyakejima Island (33°57′ N, 139°22′ E) and ST-4 of Sagami Bay (35°00′ N, 139°22′ E). It is confirmed that mid-depth all over the western North Pacific water is affected by the mantle helium with a high 3He/4He ratio. The behavior of heavy-metal cations in ore minerals of cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts from the Marcus Wake seamount in aqueous solutions of metal salts was studied in experiments. The Zn2+ and Cd2+ cations showed high reactivity and Ва2+ and Pb2+ showed low reactivity. It was found that Zn2+ and Cd2+ cations within the ore mineral composition are mainly absorbed (up to 66%) whereas Pb2+ and Ва2+ are chemically bound (up to 70%). Ore minerals in the crusts are characterized by sorption properties and high ionexchange capacity by these cations (1.94–2.62 mg-equiv/g). The capacity values by heavy-metal cations for ore minerals of the crusts from different areas of the Marcus Wake seamount are close to each other.  相似文献

We have collected fifty-five seawater samples at seven stations at various depths in the Yamato and Japan Basins of the Japan Sea and measured their helium isotopic ratios. The 3He/4He ratios vary from 0.997 Ratm to 1.085 Ratm where Ratm is the atmospheric ratio. The maximum 3He excesses about 8%, are observed at mid-depth (1000 m), and these values are significantly lower than those observed in deep Pacific waters. This implies that mantle-derived helium in deep Pacific water cannot enter the Japan Sea since it is an almost landlocked marginal sea. The observed 8% excess 3He may be attributable to the decay product of tritium. Slightly higher 3He/4He ratios in the Bottom Water were observed in the Yamato Basin than in the Japan Basin. The ventilation ages of seawater shallower than 1000 m are calculated as about 5 to 20 years, which is consistent with the CFC ages reported in the literature. There is a positive correlation between the apparent oxygen utilization and 3H-3He ages. The estimated oxygen utilization rate from the correlation in a layer between 500 m and 1000 m is about 3 μmol/kg/yr, which is similar to that in the eastern subtropical North Atlantic.  相似文献

Dissolved and particulate 234Th activities in surface seawater were determined at 27 stations along the coastline of western Taiwan during 19–23 November 2004. Contrasting scavenging settings were observed between the northern and southern regimes of the nearshore water off western Taiwan, separated by the Cho-Shui River. The northern regime is characterized by a large quantity of suspended load contributed by northward transport of a suspension plume from the Cho-Shui River, while the southern regime, low in suspended load and high in chlorophyll concentration, is a system controlled by biological activity. A scavenging model that takes account of the physical transport was used to estimate the 234Th budget in order to estimate the scavenging and removal rates from the nearshore water. The scavenging and removal rates ranged from 21 to 127 dpm m−3d−1 and from 36 to 525 dpm m−3d−1, for dissolved and particulate 234Th, respectively. The removal fluxes of particulate organic carbon (POC) and particulate organic nitrogen (PON) were estimated by multiplying the particulate 234Th removal flux to the organic carbon/234Th and nitrogen/234Th ratios in suspended particles, which ranged from 4.5 to 275.2 mmol-C m−2d−1 and from 1.3 to 50.1 mmol-N m−2d−1, respectively. These fluxes resulted in residence times of 1∼20 days for the POC in the surface water of nearshore water off western Taiwan.  相似文献

在国内首次研究了大型海洋绿潮藻浒苔(Ulva prolifera)对NH4+-N与NO 3--N两种氮源的选择吸收作用。结果表明:当两种氮源等浓度比例存在时,随着NH4+-N与NO3--N浓度升高,藻体对NH4+-N的吸收速率逐渐升高,而对NO3--N吸收受到抑制;当NO3--N和NH 4+-N高浓度比存在时,藻体对NH4-N的吸收速率随着NO3--N/NH4+-N比例的升高和NH4-N浓度的下降而降低;当NO3--N和NH4+-N低浓度比存在时,藻体对NH+4-N保持较高的吸收速率,而对NO3--N的吸收效率随着NO3--N浓度的降低而降低;浒苔具有同时利用水体中较高浓度的NH+4-N和NO3--N的能力,只有当NH4+-N或NO3--N浓度较低时,才以吸收相对应的氮源为主。这说明浒苔能够快速、大量地吸收水体中氮源,为爆发性增殖贮备物质条件。同时,即便两种氮源同时存在,浒苔对NH+4-N的吸收速率也远高于对NO3--N的吸收速率,因此,控制NH4+-N的大量输入仍是预防浒苔绿潮爆发的关键。  相似文献

SEM/probe analyses of two ferromanganese crusts from the Central Indian Basin, formed on basalt substrate, reveal botryoids and cusps. The botryoids composed of δ-MnO2, are enriched in Co, and the cusps and laminations with todorokite are enriched in Ni and Cu. Microstructural and elemental variations, from the ferromanganese crust outer surface to the basalt substrate, probably reflect changes in the accretion or in the source of metals. The major source of the crust metals is the seawater, as indicated by the Mn/Fe ratio of unity and by the microstructures.  相似文献

Marine minerals such as manganese nodules, Co-rich ferromanganese crusts, and seafloor massive sulfides are commonly seen as possible future resources that could potentially add to the global raw materials supply. At present, a proper assessment of these resources is not possible due to a severe lack of information regarding their size, distribution, and composition. It is clear, however, that manganese nodules and Co-rich ferromanganese crusts are a vast resource and mining them could have a profound impact on global metal markets, whereas the global resource potential of seafloor massive sulfides appears to be small. These deep-sea mineral commodities are formed by very different geological processes resulting in deposits with distinctly different characteristics. The geological boundary conditions also determine the size of any future mining operations and the area that will be affected by mining. Similarly, the sizes of the most favorable areas that need to be explored for a global resource assessment are also dependent on the geological environment. Size reaches 38 million km2 for manganese nodules, while those for Co-rich crusts (1.7 million km2) and massive sulfides (3.2 million km2) are much smaller. Moreover, different commodities are more abundant in some jurisdictions than in others. While only 19% of the favorable area for manganese nodules lies within the Exclusive Economic Zone of coastal states or is covered by proposals for the extension of the continental shelf, 42% of the favorable areas for massive sulfides and 54% for Co-rich crusts are located in EEZs.  相似文献

对厦门湾塔角附近海域某站位叶绿素 a、POC、初级生产力、234Th/238U不平衡进行的周日变化研究表明,POC含量介于14.4~34.6 mmol/m3之间,其中碎屑有机碳与活体有机碳所占份额分别为74%~92%和8%~26%.POC垂直分布呈现由表及底降低的趋势,且白昼期间POC含量高于晚间,说明研究海域POC含量与生物过程具有密切联系.初级生产力水平在1d之中变化达5倍,垂直分布亦随深度增加而降低,与叶绿素a的变化相对应.短时间(2h)培养获得的初级生产力水平明显高于长时间培养(24 h)的结果,证实部分新固定的碳被优先呼吸排出.结合234Th/238U不平衡法获得的颗粒态234Th输出通量及输出界面颗粒物中的POC/PTh比值,可计算出真光层 POC的垂向输出通量为16.0mmol/(m2·d),其中碎屑有机碳与活体有机碳贡献的数量分别为13.3和2.7mmol/(m2·d).POC输出通量与初级生产力的比值(ThE比值)平均为0.31,真光层POC停留时间平均为11d.上述结果与Aksnes和Wassmann[1]的模型计算结果相吻合,但与其他大多数模型的结果仍存在一定的差异.  相似文献

The RaDeCC™ system has proved to be a robust method of measuring 223Ra and 224Ra extracted from natural waters. Samples ranging in size from < 1 to > 1000 L are first concentrated onto Mn-fiber. The Mn-fiber is partially dried and placed into a circulation system with helium as the carrier gas. Alpha decays of the radon daughters of 223Ra and 224Ra are recorded in a scintillation cell. These data are used to activate electronic gates in the delayed coincidence system, which separate events due to 223Ra from those due to 224Ra. The system combines a high detection efficiency with low background to accurately measure 223Ra and 224Ra at concentrations on the order of 5 atoms per liter. Since this system was first deployed, numerous improvements in electronics and technique have occurred. In this paper I present tests we have conducted to confirm certain assumptions and improve the overall technique of sample collection and measurement.  相似文献

The Little Ice Age (∼1600–1900 AD) and 20th century sediment accumulation rates in Billefjorden, a subpolar fjord on Svalbard, were reconstructed by applying 210Pb, 137Cs and AMS 14C datings. The modern sediment accumulation rate decreases from more than 0.39 cm y−1 at the fjord head to 0.08 cm y−1 close to the fjord mouth. However, during the Little Ice Age the sediments accumulated at a much lower rate of 0.02 cm y−1 in the central fjord basin. This difference is most likely related to the rapid retreat of glaciers during the 20th century, when most of them withdrew up to 2 km. The post-Little Ice Age increases in temperature and a negative glacier mass balance resulted in a larger meltwater discharge transferring substantial amounts of sediments released from the glaciers, as well as those eroded from previously stored unconsolidated glacial sediments. A comparison of data from the subpolar fjords of Svalbard suggests that the increase in the sediment accumulation rate is a common trend, and further increases might be expected if climate warming continues. The properties of the fjord sediments (grain size, IRD, coarse-fraction composition, clay mineralogy) from the Little Ice Age and the 20th century showed no distinct differences. The change in the accumulation rate may be the most evident sedimentary record of this climatic change.  相似文献

Research of interaction mechanism between Chlorella vulgaris and two bacterial strains(Z-QD08 and Z-QS01)were conducted under laboratory conditions.Growth rates of bacteria and C.vulgaris were tested under co-culture conditions to evaluate the effects of concentrations of C.vulgaris and bacteria on their interactions.To test whether the availability of inorganic nutrients,vitamins and trace metals affects the interactions between C.vulgaris and bacteria,experiments were performed with or without the culture medium filtrate of C.vulgaris or bacteria.The results showed that the growth of C.vulgaris was promoted at low concentrations of bacteria(5×106cells/ml),and expressed a positive correlation with the bacteria density,whereas opposite trend was observed for treatments with high bacteria density(10×106cells/ml and 20×106cells/ml).The growth rate of bacteria decreased with the increasing concentrations of C.vulgaris.The growth of bacteria Z-QD08 was inhibited by C.vulgaris through interference competition,while the mechanism for interaction between bacteria Z-QS01 and C.vulgaris was resource competition.The influence of cell density on the interaction between microalgae and bacteria was also discussed.These experiments confirm some elements of published theory on interactions between heterotrophic bacteria and microalgae and suggest that heterotrophic bacteria play an important role in the development of blooms in natural waters.  相似文献

The Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 released large amounts of radionuclides, including ~(137)Cs, into the Pacific Ocean. A quasi-global ocean radioactive transport model with horizontal grid spacing of 0.5°×0.5° and 21 vertical layers was thereafter established to study the long-term transport of the Fukushima-derived ~(137)Cs in the ocean.The simulation shows that the plume of ~(137)Cs would be rapidly transported eastward alongside the Kuroshio Current and its extensions. Contaminated waters with concentrations lower than 2 Bq/m3 would reach the west coast of North America 4 or 5 years after the accident. The ~(137)Cs tends to be carried, despite its very low concentration, into the Indian and South Pacific Oceans by 2016 via various branches of ocean currents.Meanwhile, the ~(137)Cs concentrations in the western part of the North Pacific Ocean decrease rapidly with time. Up to now the highly contaminated waters have remained in the upper 400 m, showing no evidence of significant penetration to deeper layers.  相似文献
