A general one-way representation of seismic data can be obtained by substituting a Green's one-way wavefield matrix into a reciprocity theorem of the convolution type for one-way wavefields. From this general one-way representation, several special cases can be derived.
By introducing a Green's one-way wavefield matrix for primaries , a generalized Bremmer series representation is obtained. Terminating this series after the first-order term yields a primary representation of seismic reflection data. According to this representation, primary seismic reflection data are proportional to a reflection operator, 'modified' by primary propagators for downgoing and upgoing waves. For seismic imaging, these propagators need to be inverted. Stable inverse primary propagators can easily be obtained from a one-way reciprocity theorem of the correlation type.
By introducing a Green's one-way wavefield matrix for generalized primaries , an alternative representation is obtained in which multiple scattering is organized quite differently (in comparison with the generalized Bremmer series representation). According to the generalized primary representation, full seismic reflection data are proportional to a reflection operator, 'modified' by generalized primary propagators for downgoing and upgoing waves. Internal multiple scattering is fully included in the generalized primary propagators {either via a series expansion or in a parametrized way). Stable inverse generalized primary propagators can be obtained from the one-way reciprocity theorem of the correlation type. These inverse propagators are the nucleus for seismic imaging techniques that take the angle-dependent dispersion effects due to fine-layering into account.  相似文献

We present a split-step complex Padé-Fourier migration method based on the one-way wave equation. The downward-continuation operator is split into two downward-continuation operators: one operator is a phase-shift operator and the other operator is a finite-difference operator. A complex treatment of the propagation operator is applied to mitigate inaccuracies and instabilities due to evanescent waves. It produces high-quality images of complex structures with fewer numerical artefacts than those obtained using a real approximation of a square-root operator in the one-way wave equation. Tests on zero-offset data from the SEG/EAGE salt data show that the method improves the image quality at the cost of an additional 10 per cent computational time compared to the conventional Fourier finite-difference method.  相似文献

Summary. Familiar concepts such as asymptotic ray theory and geometrical spreading are now recognized as an asymptotic form of a more general asymptotic solution to the non-separable wave equation. In seismology, the name Maslov asymptotic theory has been attached to this solution. In its simplest form, it may be thought of as a justification of disc-ray theory and it can be reduced to the WKBJ seismogram. It is a uniformly valid asymptotic solution, though. The method involves properties of the wavefronts and ray paths of the wave equation which have been established for over a century. The integral operators which build on these properties have been investigated only comparatively recently. These operators are introduced very simply by appealing to the asymptotic Fourier transform of Ziolkowski & Deschamps. This leads quite naturally to the result that phase functions in different domains of the spatial Fourier transform are related by a Legendre transformation. The amplitude transformation can also be inferred by this method. Liouville's theorem (the incompressibility of a phase space of position and slowness) ensures that it is always possible to obtain a uniformly asymptotic solution. This theorem can be derived by methods familiar to seismologists and which do not rely on the traditional formalism of classical mechanics. It can also be derived from the sympletic property of the equations of geometrical spreading and canonical transformations in general. The symplectic property plays a central role in the theory of high-frequency beams in inhomogeneous media.  相似文献

It is now widely accepted that elastic properties of the continental lithosphere and the underlying sublithospheric mantle are both anisotropic and laterally heterogeneous at a range of scales. To fully exploit modern three-component broad-band array data sets requires the use of comprehensive modelling tools. In this work, we investigate the use of a wide-angle, one-way wave equation to model variations in teleseismic 3-D waveforms due to 2-D elastic heterogeneity and anisotropy. The one-way operators are derived based on a high-frequency approximation of the square-root operator and include the effects of wave propagation as well as multiple scattering. Computational cost is reduced through a number of physically motivated approximations. We present synthetic results from simple 1-D (layer over a half-space) and 2-D (subduction zone) models that are compared with reference solutions. The algorithm is then used to model data from an array of broad-band seismograph stations deployed in northwestern Canada as part of the IRIS-PASSCAL/LITHOPROBE CANOE experiment. In this region radial-component receiver functions show a clear continental Moho and the presence of crustal material dipping into the mantle at the suture of two Palaeo-Proterozoic terranes. The geometry of the suture is better defined on the transverse component where subduction is associated with a ∼10 km thick layer exhibiting strong elastic anisotropy. The modelling reproduces the main features of the receiver functions, including the effects of anisotropy, heterogeneity and finite-frequency scattering.  相似文献

Summary. A simple method is presented which combines the reciprocity theorem and the flat layer theory to yield teleseismic body wave radiation from seismic sources embedded in the Earth's crust. The source is represented by its equivalent body forces and can be quite general. The effect of Yucca Flat geology on explosion signals is studied in detail. In particular, the m b— M s relation is shown to be dependent on detonation medium and source depth. Application to shallow earthquake faults demonstrates the strong influence of free surface and layering on the shape of P- and S-wave teleseismic spectra.  相似文献

An efficient inverse scattering method is developed for imaging near-surface heterogeneities using scattered surface waves. Three dimensional elastodynamic wave propagation and scattering in a laterally invariant embedding medium is considered. The Born Approximation is used and the scattered wavefield is expressed as a domain type integral representation. The computation time of Green's tensor elements is reduced by considering the radial symmetry of the medium. The method is validated by numerical tests. Ultrasonic laboratory data obtained from a scale model experiment are used for imaging the near-surface inhomogeneities caused by an epoxy-filled hole in the surface of an aluminum block. Both synthetic and the scale model tests show that the location, the actual density contrast and the depth of the inhomogeneities are reasonably well estimated.  相似文献

In this paper we redefine the term detection limit to embrace the inherent multivariate nature of samples,instrumental measurements and chemometrics resolution procedures. The so-called zero-componentregions, i.e. parts with no chemical components eluting, are used as repeated analytical blanks to estimatea statistical multivariate detection limit for determining the number of chemical species in local regionsof a single two-way chromatogram or a collection of synchronized one-way chromatograms. For two-waychromatography the detection limit is determined from the distribution of the first eigenvalues obtainedfrom all possible combinations of spectra in the zero-component regions. The number of spectra in eachcalculation should correspond to the number included in the later examination of the local retention timeregions. For one-way chromatography on a collection of samples with similar chemical components atvarying concentrations the same procedure is used, with the samples taking the role of the spectra intwo-way chromatography. The detection limit can be chosen at various confidence levels depending onwhether false positive or negative detection of minor components is most critical. The results obtainedfrom the zero-eigenvalue distribution are more robust than those obtained by a previously developedF-test.  相似文献

Summary. The ray series solution of the elastodynamic equation of motion for shear waves propagating through a laterally inhomogeneous three-dimensional medium can be simplified by the use of a particular coordinate system that accompanies the wave front along the ray of investigation. The system is entirely determined by parameters that are obtainable from the ray. The transport equations for the principal shear wave components are then no longer coupled, but reduce to the same type of equation which determines the principal compressional wave component.  相似文献

选取1985-2009年欧洲七国入境中国客流量与进出口贸易统计数据,运用协整分析和Granger因果检验方法,构建各国入境中国客流量与进口贸易、出口贸易的协整方程和修正模型,分别对欧洲七国入境中国客流量与进出口贸易额之间的关系进行分析和研究。结果表明:欧洲七国入境中国客流量与其对中国进出口贸易额存在长期均衡关系,各国入境客流量对进口和出口贸易额的长期弹性远大于短期弹性;Granger因果关系检验显示,欧洲七国入境中国客流量与进口贸易额存在显著的单向因果关系,英国、德国和瑞典入境中国客流量与出口贸易额的单向因果关系显著,瑞士进口贸易额、意大利出口贸易额与其入境中国客流量的单向因果关系显著,其差异性与各国入境中国客流量的大小、贸易依存度、贸易顺逆差情况和双边关系的对称性差异密切相关。  相似文献

P-SH conversion is commonly observed in teleseismic P waves, and is often attributed to dipping interfaces beneath the receiver. Our modelling suggests an alternative explanation in terms of flat-layered anisotropy. We use reflectivity techniques to compute three-component synthetic seismograms in a 1-D anisotropic layered medium. For each layer of the medium, we prescribe values of seismic velocities and hexagonally symmetric anisotropy about a common symmetry axis of arbitrary orientation. A compressional wave in an anisotropic velocity structure suffers conversion to both SV -and SH -polarized shear waves, unless the axis of symmetry is everywhere vertical or the wave travels parallel to all symmetry axes. The P-SV conversion forms the basis of the widely used 'receiver function' technique. The P-SH conversion occurs at interfaces where one or both layers are anisotropic. A tilted axis of symmetry and a dipping interface in isotropic media produce similar amplitudes of both direct ( P ) and converted ( Ps ) phases, leaving the backazimuth variation of the P-Ps delay as the main discriminant. Seismic anisotropy with a tilted symmetry axis leads to complex synthetic seismograms in velocity models composed of just a few flat homogeneous layers. It is possible therefore to model observations of P coda with prominent transverse components with relatively simple 1-D velocity structures. Successful retrieval of salient model characteristics appears possible using multiple realizations of a genetic-algorithm (GA) inversion of P coda from several backazimuths. Using GA inversion, we determine that six P coda recorded at station ARU in central Russia are consistent with models that possess strong (> 10 per cent) anisotropy in the top 5 km and between 30 and 43 km depth. The symmetry axes are tilted, and appear aligned with the seismic anisotropy orientation in the mantle under ARU suggested by SKS splitting.  相似文献

从北极海运货源角度出发,根据北极贸易、油气开发以及远东-西北欧、远东-北美东部当前海运货量状况,分析得出未来北极航道主要货物类型和规模的最大理论值为:(1)从俄罗斯、北欧北极地区到远东的液化天然气单向贸易流型式,到2030年,为1 000万t;(2)从远东到欧美的集装箱货物双向贸易流型式,北极东北航道、中央航道分担远东到西北欧航线的货运量,北极西北航道分担远东到北美东部的货运量,如果技术上能够低成本保障全季航行,按分担传统运河航线50%计算,到2030年,北极航道集装箱货运规模最大值约为1 743万TEU,是2011年传统运河航线的85%。由此得出结论:近中期东北航道天然气运输占据主要地位,但对北极航道更大运输需求是集装箱运输。此外,本文还比较了北极航道与运河航线的成本。  相似文献

Summary. This paper discusses the inverse (downward) continuation of a wavefield into a medium, as a means of estimating seismic velocities and the imaging of the geometry of reflecting objects. The notion of a kinematically equivalent (K-equivalent) operator of the field continuation is introduced, which allows both the possibility of replacing the initial Lamé equation by a simpler one (for example, a wave equation) and also the existence of an infinite set of continuation operators which permit us to construct a wavefield with proper characteristics. Any of the K-equivalent operators can be used in the task of imaging of reflectors given the known velocities. If velocities are unknown and reflectors are irregular, it is possible to improve the regularity of reflections by continuing the field downward to a fictitious surface in the media with a velocity Vo, that differs from the true velocity V . The conditions needed to untie loops in the true patterns in the continued field are also given.
Another approach is connected with calculations of dynamic sections using different values of velocity (say, an extremal velocity) under which the amplitudes of reflectors on sections are brought to a maximum due to the phenomena of focusing. Extremal velocities can be also used for solving inverse kinematical problems.  相似文献

An explicit analytical formula for the complete elastodynamic Green tensor for homogeneous unbounded weak transversely isotropic media is presented. The formula was derived by analytical calculations of higher-order approximations of the ray series. The ray series is finite and consists of seven non-zero terms. The formula for the Green tensor is complete and correct for the whole frequency range, thus it describes correctly the wavefield at all distances and at all directions including the shear-wave singularity direction. The Green tensor consists of P, SV and SH far-field waves and four coupling waves. Three of them couple P and SV waves, and the fourth wave couples the SV and SH waves. The P-SV coupling waves behave similarly to the near-field waves in isotropy. However, the SV-SH coupling wave, which is called 'shear-wave coupling', behaves exceptionally and it has no analogy in the Green tensor for isotropy. The formula for the elastostatic Green tensor is also derived.  相似文献

为了更加精准地从合成孔径雷达(SAR)图像中提取水边线,提出基于G0分布的SAR图像水边线提取方法。首先,将SAR图像域划分为大小相等的子块,并假设每个子块内像素强度服从独立同一的G0分布;利用矩估计方法得到对应每个子块的粗糙度和散射性参数;根据设定的参数阈值,可划分出粗略的水域,并确定该区域的几何中心;以该几何中心为圆心,向四周做射线,保留经过陆地区域的射线;利用似然函数确定每条射线上的水-陆分界点,依次连接分界点,进而实现SAR图像水边线提取。采用本文方法,分别对模拟和真实SAR图像进行水边线提取实验。定性和定量结果表明:采用基于G0分布的SAR图像水边线提取方法能够有效地克服斑点噪声的影响。  相似文献

Summary. In this paper we examine the influence of the state of stress in the equilibrium configuration of the Earth (i.e. the pre-stress) upon its adiabatic perturbations. The equations governing these perturbations to the first order (Woodhouse & Dahlen; Dahlen) are re-derived using a Lagrangian approach. Different expressions of the sesquilinear form associated to the elastic-gravitational operator are given. One of these provides a way to extend to hydrostatically pre-stressed solids the criterion of local stability given by Friedman & Schutz for uniformly rotating fluids. Then the propagation in the Earth of seismic wavefronts is considered. It is shown that the nature of these different wavefronts is entirely determined by the quadratic coefficients of the development of the specific internal energy variation, corresponding to isentropic evolution, with respect to the Lagrangian finite deformation tensor. Expressions for the velocities of the various waves are given as functions of incidence angle and pre-stress for orthotropic elastic material. In the particular case where the elastic parameters depend only on one coordinate of a curvilinear system and the axis of orthotropy of the material coincides with the corresponding natural base vector, the elastodynamic equations are reduced to a simple system for a displacement stress vector, using surface operators. In particular for spherical geometry, equations are obtained which generalize to orthotropic pre-stress those given by Alterman et al. and Takeuchi & Saito.  相似文献

Abstract

This paper presents a data model to manage networks with a Geographical Information System with some consideration of the path operator. The data model is based on the merge of graph theory concepts and the object-oriented paradigm. The introduction of the Master_nodes (with respect to Master_edges) allows definition of a node (with respect to an edge) as an abstraction of a sub-network. A network can be defined using several levels of definition (detail) following the importance of the nodes (with respect to the edges) within an application. The object-oriented concepts are applied to both the alphanumerical data part and to the modelling part of the topology of the graph. The data manipulation operators are basic operators. These operators are the union, an intersection and a difference. More elaborated operators, such as under constraints paths, are obtained by combining these basic operators. We present some considerations of the path operator in a GIS context and introduce the concept of the ‘Open Graph Assumption’ and the notion of direction. These notions take full advantage of the data model and represent an alternative way of defining the path operator. This modelling is well adapted to take account of multi-level networks (i.e., the definition of a view in the context of a multi-user configuration or cartographic generalization).  相似文献

We have found that the extensively used finite difference scheme time3d produces time fields which are 'asymmetric' in the sense that traveltimes computed to the right of the source are faster than traveltimes computed to the left. All finite difference schemes will, as they are approximations to the wave equation, to some extent fail to obey reciprocity perfectly. We show, however, that the errors in time3d may be significant—and unnecessarily large. An asymmetry in the point source initialization has been identified, and after correction time3d produces time fields with an improved reciprocity.  相似文献

Summary Isotropic earth models are unable to provide uniform fits to the gross Earth normal mode data set or, in many cases, to regional Love-and Rayleigh-wave data. Anisotropic inversion provides a good fit to the data and indicates that the upper 200km of the mantle is anisotropic. The nature and magnitude of the required anisotropy, moreover, is similar to that found in body wave studies and in studies of ultramafic samples from the upper mantle. Pronounced upper mantle low-velocity zones are characteristic of models resulting from isotropic inversion of global or regional data sets. Anisotropic models have more nearly constant velocities in the upper mantle.
Normal mode partial (Frediét) derivatives are calculated for a transversely isotropic earth model with a radial axis of symmetry. For this type of anisotropy there are five elastic constant. The two shear-type moduli can be determined from the toroidal modes. Spheroidal and Rayleigh modes are sensitive to all five elastic constants but are mainly controlled by the two compressional-type moduli, one of the shear-type moduli and the remaining, mixed-mode, modulus. The lack of sensitivity of Rayleigh waves to compressional wave velocities is a characteristic only of the isotropic case. The partial derivatives of the horizontal and vertical components of the compressional velocity are nearly equal and opposite in the region of the mantle where the shear velocity sensitivity is the greatest. The net compressional wave partial derivative, at depth, is therefore very small for isotropic perturbations. Compressional wave anisotropy, however, has a significant effect on Rayleigh-wave dispersion. Once it has been established that transverse anisotropy is important it is necessary to invert for all five elastic constants. If the azimuthal effect has not been averaged out a more general anisotropy may have to be allowed for.  相似文献

海岸线的长度依赖于测量尺度,因此没有确定的测量结果:尺度越小,测量的长度值越大。国境线的测量也具有类似的尺度依赖性。这种性质与分形性质有关。分形的本质是标度对称性,而对称性意味着某种不可观测量。由于标度对称性的存在,一些地理现象的基本测度(如长度、面积)无法准确计算。中国、美国等国家的国土面积大小都没有确切的数据:在版图没有任何变动的情况下,不同时期、不同机构的测量结果不一致,有时甚至大相径庭。本文借助分形模型和标度对称思想探讨这一问题。假定一个国家包括漫长的海岸线,则其国土可以分解两部分:主体部分可以用Koch岛模型刻画,岛屿部分则可以用Pareto分布描述。这两部分叠加的结果是,国土总面积随着测量尺度的减少而逐步增加。因此,中国政府可以正式公布国土面积的最新测量数据,而不必继续担心由此引发的国际政治争端。  相似文献

Summary. There are two ways to apply the Cagniard de-Hoop method when generating synthetic seismograms due to a source in a three-dimensional medium. One is the Hankel transform method (hereafter called 'the cylindrical wave representation method'), which utilizes the property of the modified Bessel function. The other is 'the plane wave representation method', which replaces the Bessel function by a superposition of plane waves. In extending a point source to a finite dimensional source, the latter method is extremely useful, because it enables the integrations on the fault surface to be performed analytically.
Using the latter method, expressions for displacements due to a Haskell type vertical fault in a uniform half-space are obtained. A solution is given as a sum of four quadrantal source contributions, which is similar to Madariaga's solution for a source in the whole space. Each contribution consists of a single finite range integration or a single integration plus a pole contribution, depending on the location of the observation point with respect to the source. The procedure can be extended to other fault types.  相似文献
