This paper covers the topic of marine geodesy, its goals, and applications. Specifically discussed are position determination and establishment of geodetic control on the ocean bottom, ocean surface, and subsurface, and the determination of the geoid, a vertical reference surface. The various techniques used in position determination (including satellite, airborne, radio, inertial and acoustic techniques) are assessed in terms of accuracy, coverage, and contribution to the solution of specific problems associated with position and control. The results of several marine geodetic control experiments are presented. Classical techniques for the determination of the geoid are discussed and assessed, as are new techniques such as satellite altimetry. The outlook for marine geodetic measurements in the ocean is outlined in terms of what is being planned or considered for the next decade, and several recommendations are made.  相似文献

The hitherto promising finds of oil and gas on the Norwegian continental shelf have increased the general activity in this area considerably. Consequently, the need for better charts and more precise navigational systems have become more pertinent. During the past few years a number of marine geodetic projects have either been planned or embarked upon by various organizations within both the public and private sectors. This article gives a brief review of the Norwegian projects which have special relevance to marine geodesy; this includes the following areas: recommendations, requirements, precision navigation, satellite positioning, reference systems, boundary problems, bathymetry, geological mapping, marine geoid determination, and data base developments. 水下考古已成为考古领域的重要组成部分。在中国沿海,尤其在古海上丝绸之路沿线,留存了大量前人活动的遗迹。水下考古需要使用高新探测设备,并配合合理的操作流程。本文以广东川岛水下考古为例,由多波束测深系统、浅地层剖面仪、侧扫声呐系统和磁力仪等新型高精度海洋物探设备构成水下考古系统,建立了水下考古的基本流程。川岛是古海上丝绸之路的重要泊靠点,在此次川山群岛海域考古调查中,根据多波束大规模覆盖和侧扫声呐拖曳式作业,在泥湾水道、打铁湾以及乌猪洲等处有新的发现,包括清代瓷器碎片和古代铁炮等。川岛水下考古文物的发现,对于进一步沿古海上丝绸之路的文物调查具有重要促进作用,也使水下考古得到更多关注。  相似文献

在全球气候变化的背景下,现代化海洋牧场是我国应对近海生态环境恶化和渔业资源衰退、实现海洋生态文明和海洋强国战略的重要手段。而海洋牧场观测网是科学指导现代化海洋牧场建设,并进行科学管理的重要基础。为了保障现代化海洋牧场的可持续健康发展,山东省于2015年底开始在各海洋牧场建设生态环境海底观测站,并组网建成世界先进的海洋牧场观测网,目前已覆盖23处海洋牧场。设立观测网预警中心,负责海洋牧场观测网的日常运行和维护,同时开展水域多学科耦合过程的基础研究和业务化辅助决策的应用服务。海洋牧场观测网的建立和业务化运行初步实现了海洋牧场生态环境和渔业资源的"可测"、"可视"、"可控"和"可预警"。目前,我国现代化海洋牧场观测网的科学发展仍面临诸多挑战,建议进一步增强观测设备的自主研发能力和长期在线监测的稳定性,跨介质立体组网、实现海洋牧场的全方位立体监测,深化多学科耦合过程的基础研究并提供多元业务化辅助决策应用服务,为现代化海洋牧场的高质量发展保驾护航。  相似文献

Height datum is an important part of national geodetic network. Establishment of a unified national land and sea elevation benchmarks and implementation of height datum connection between the Chinese mainland and offshore islands are issues that need to be resolved in geomatics and marine sciences. Derived from basic definition of elevation datum and relationship between geo-potential and normal height, the scientific theory and algorithm for transferring height datum from mainland to islands with geo-potential are elaborated. The accuracy of geo-potential difference is discussed using a numerical analysis method. We also give criteria to choose virtual leveling routines and algorithm to give optimized results. One experiment in the China seas, among 26 tidal gauge stations in the sea coast of the mainland with known normal height, has confirmed the reliability and accuracy of the method developed in this paper. Further optimizations for improving accuracy of island elevation are also introduced. Distribution of quasi-geoid near Xisha Islands is also given with this method.  相似文献

海底大地基准网将是新一代国家综合PNT(Positioning, Navigation and Timing)系统建设的重要组成,也是未来海洋立体观测系统的基础设施。联合全球卫星导航定位系统和声学测距的GNSS-声学定位技术可用于高精度水下定位,直接服务于海底大地基准网建设。本文聚焦海底大地基准建设技术,简要梳理了国内外水下声学导航定位技术及系统背景,分析总结了海底大地基准建设的站址勘选及布放技术要点,在讨论GNSS-声学观测平台和数据采集技术基础上,重点探讨了GNSS-声学定位的数据处理方法研究进展,最后简单介绍了GNSS-声学的当前主要应用并展望了未来海底大地基准建设的技术需求和应用问题。  相似文献

The Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 is now enacted into law. This paper looks at predictions made about new law by one of the authors, Peter Jones, in his paper The Marine Bill: Cornucopia or Pandora's Box [1] and assesses how successful the Act has been in turning aspirations into law. The paper focuses on the following areas: ecosystem protection, stakeholder engagement, marine spatial planning and the provision of a network of highly protected marine reserves, and raises concerns that the ecosystem approach has progressively been dropped in the drafting process of the legislation. Concerns are raised that the new Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities have similar inherent conflicts of interest to those exhibited by Sea Fisheries Committees, which they sought to replace. The effectiveness of marine planning is questioned, as there appear to be inbuilt loopholes for public authorities to avoid complying with the marine plans. The draft marine policy statement (MPS), published in July 2010, includes appropriate environmental safeguards, but the MPS has not yet been formally adopted. The absence of a concrete target for highly protected marine reserves means there is a danger that designations under the Act may have little effect on the ground. In conclusion the Act provides some new mechanisms for marine protection, but arguably does not yet provide a framework for implementing the ecosystem approach and is not an end in itself.  相似文献

The marine sciences have undergone a sequence of historical changes related to new methodologies, approaches and challenges. Most recently, deteriorating natural ecosystems and threatened component species have prompted a renewed change in the focus of scientific research on the marine environment. This study analyzes the scientific literature on cetaceans during the period 2005–2008 to demonstrate that a key focus of modern research is on conservation-related topics, and then compares it to the period 1970–1973 to demonstrate that this new focus represents a shift from basic biological and ecological issues. On average, approximately 46% of papers published on whales, dolphins and porpoises in 2005–2008 were categorized as conservation oriented versus focused on biology or ecology. This contrasts to approximately 10% in 1970–1973. This shift parallels other marine research subjects, such as benthic communities, coral reefs and sea turtles and reflects a general paradigm shift in marine research towards anthropogenic impacts. This is important guidance for institutions and organizations that wish to base their agendas and decisions on state-of-the-art scientific priorities.  相似文献

通过对浅地层剖面仪、侧扫声纳和海底取样等实测资料的详细分析,揭示了辽东湾北部浅海区的自然地质状况和复杂的海洋工程地质特征。该海区海底地形地貌较为复杂,存在海底冲刷深槽、埋藏古河道、浅层气、潮流沙脊与潮沟、埋藏古陡坡、软弱土层及可能的砂土液化层等潜在灾害地质因素,对海上构筑物存在直接或潜在的危险性,应引起高度重视。  相似文献

综述了国外近40 a海洋沉积硅藻表层组合及其在地层划分与对比、古地理环境重建、海平面升降和岸线变迁等方面的应用,以及硅藻休眠孢子化石的分类学、地层学和分子系统发育学研究的最新进展.对中国海洋沉积硅藻的研究进展作了概述,基本查明了渤海、黄海、东海、南海4大海区表层硅藻属种组成及表层硅藻组合面貌;利用硅藻组合进行了地层划分与对比、古海洋环境演变过程的研究;并将各种数理统计方法结合到硅藻分析中,使中国海洋沉积硅藻研究逐渐由定性或半定量向定量研究发展.但在利用硅藻进行古环境定量重建等方面,与国外的研究还存在一定差距.今后应加强建立现代硅藻-环境变量数据库、表层沉积生物硅的溶解、硅藻休眠孢子化石的分类学和地层学等方面的研究.  相似文献

卫星通信大地测量数据传输的安全不能仅仅依赖于卫星通信本身的保密性,有必要在卫星通信链路之外建立独立的安全解决方案。为此,在原来的大地测量数据传输系统的通信管理部分增加了安全控制模块,用于对发送的数据进行加密和对接受的数据进行解密。在介绍对称密钥加密的基本概念后,分别从四个方面讨论了系统基于对称密钥加密的安全控制策略。最后用C#代码说明了如何基于Microsoft.Net框架实现安全控制模块的加密和解密功能。  相似文献

作为古潮汐研究窗口的现代潮汐沉积体系,其研究的不断深入为古地层序列中潮汐沉积环境的重建提供了重要的理论基础与识别依据。潮汐体系的不同分类与潮坪环境的异样分带,为多样的潮汐信号提供了独特的沉积环境;现代潮汐体系中的微生物研究不断扩展生物成因古潮汐信号的涵盖范畴,物理成因潮汐信号的丰硕成果为古沉积环境重建奠定了坚实基础。结合潮汐沉积体系中古潮汐信号的新进展,分析了豫西元古界鲁山剖面的沉积特征,旨为区域古环境重建提供借鉴意义。  相似文献

Abstract

In the Mediterranean Sea, tsunamigenic sources may be found in several areas in the belt running from Gibraltar up to the Black Sea, but they are concentrated mainly around Italy and Greece. Most of the sources are located close to the coasts and excite tsunamis reaching the coasts soon after the generation time. Tsunami research and tsunami mitigation programs are only in a very initial stage in the Mediterranean area. The present activities are focused chiefly to tsunami potential evaluation and on tsunami propagation modeling. The establishment of efficient observational networks, centers for data management and services, and systems for issuing tsunami warnings are some of the most urgent needs. In this context, the envisaged contribution of marine geodesy is twofold. First, monitoring of submarine active faults and submarine volcanic areas by means of systems capable of detecting seafloor deformation may contribute in identifying periods in which the probability of tsunami generation increases beyond a threshold value, especially in those tsunamigenic zones where geodetic observations on land are insufficient (for example, eastern Sicily in Italy and the Hellenic Arc in southern Greece). Second, since most of the active sources are close to the coastline, computations of tsunami propagation and run‐up may be significantly enhanced by a better knowledge of the bathymetry of the seabelt facing the coasts.  相似文献

Heights as the basic geographical information are very important to study marine geophysics, geodesy and oceanography. Based on the astronomical leveling principle, we put forward a new method to unify the normal height (NH) datum along one ship route across sea with the ship-borne gravimetry and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) techniques. Ship-borne gravimeter can precisely measure gravity anomalies and the GNSS technique is used to measure precise sea surface heights (SSHs) along the ship track across sea. Precisions of ship-borne gravities and SSHs are improved with the colinear adjustment. To remove the effects of sea wave and wind, the Gaussian filter is used to filter residuals both between the ship-borne and modeled gravities from EGM2008 to degree 2160, and the measured and modeled SSHs from DTM10MSS, respectively. Deflections of the vertical (DOVs) along the ship route are estimated from the measured gravities with the least squares collocation method. The astro-geodetic survey is made on continent and island to improve the accuracy of DOVs along the route. We use the new method to connect NHs on the coastal sea of Shandong Peninsula, China. The results indicate that the method is very efficient to precisely connect the NH along the ship route across sea.  相似文献

The provenance of organic matter in sediments from the Mackenzie River and Beaufort Shelf was investigated using the stable carbon and radiocarbon isotopic compositions of bulk organic matter and the stable carbon isotopic compositions of individual organic compounds, including lignin-derived phenols and lipid-derived fatty acids. Most river suspended sediments and shelf surface sediments contained organic carbon characterized by highly depleted Δ14C values that were consistent with average radiocarbon ages exceeding 7000 years. The stable carbon isotopic signatures of lignin phenols were uniformly depleted (−25≥δ13C≥−32‰), indicating the predominant contributions of C3 vascular plant sources. The isotopic compositions of C14 and C16 fatty acids exhibited important contrasts between the river (−36‰ to −40‰) and shelf (−25‰ to −29‰) sediments that were consistent with contributions from freshwater algae and/or vascular plants in the former and marine phytoplankton in the latter. Using 14C isotopic mass balance, the abundances of modern and ancient organic matter were quantitatively constrained. The fate of organic matter in the Beaufort Shelf was explored by normalizing these abundances to the specific surface area of sediments. Ancient organic carbon, which may include old pre-aged soil material as well as fossil bitumen or kerogen, accounted for the majority (∼70%) of the particulate organic matter exported by the Mackenzie River and deposited in surface sediments of the Beaufort Shelf. Modern organic carbon accounted for ∼30% in both river and shelf sediments, with significant contributions from vascular plant-derived materials in both river and shelf samples and from marine algae in the shelf sediments. Respiration (and/or leaching) of particle-bound marine organic matter dominates the carbon metabolism in the Mackenzie Delta/Beaufort Shelf region. However, land-derived pools, including modern carbon derived from vascular plants as well as ancient carbon also appeared to undergo a degree of post-depositional degradation prior to burial in the shelf. These novel source apportionments are reflected in an updated carbon budget for the study area.  相似文献
