广义S变换是目前比较新的一种非平稳信号分析的时频分析方法,其特点和优势为广义S变换的反变换与傅立叶变换有直接的联系,保证其是无损变换;线性变换保证其不存在交叉项;时频分辨率与信号的频率有关;基本小波不必满足容许性条件;尺度性质使得广义S变换有很好的频率聚集能力。基于这些特点和优势,在地震勘探中已经有了广泛的应用,如利用广义S变换进行瑞利面波频散分析、时频域波场分离与去噪、沉积相旋回以及地震波初至识别等。笔者总结了应用中比较有代表性的广义S变换类型,并结合实例,阐述了该方法在地震勘探中的研究进展。  相似文献

为了理解各式各样的具有广义自相似性特征的尺度不变性系统, 提出了1个称之为GSI (generalized scale invariance) 的理论体系.它阐述了大小尺度可以相互关联而不需要引入任何1个特有(具体) 尺度的最普通情形.在二维线性GSI理论的基础上, 形成了2个重要的各向异性尺度不变性量化模型: SIG (scale invariant generator) 模型和S-A (spectrum-area) 模型.SIG模型通过在频率域中估计GSI理论中代表旋转和层化程度的尺度不变性生成元的参数来量化各向异性尺度不变性.而S-A模型通过从二维频率域中能谱密度大于P元素集的面积与P之间关系的非参数模型对各向异性尺度不变性进行量化.如果研究的对象是1个混合模式(多个不同尺度的过程或作用叠加而形成的), S-A模型不仅可以对异性尺度不变性进行量化, 还可以对该混合模式进行分解.系统阐述了GSI理论、SIG模型和S-A模型, 并将SIG模型和S-A模型结合提出了既能对混合模式进行分解又能对分解后模式的各向异性尺度不变性进行量化的模型.   相似文献

The paper describes the unified scaling theory for distribution functions of temporal and spatial characteristics in seismology. It is based on the scaling of seismological characteristics calculated for various energy–spatial–temporal intervals. The common mathematical methods for the scaling of distribution functions are developed. The means to test possibility of such scaling are found as well. The relationship between the unified scaling theory and other present scaling approaches is determined. The theory is applied to two characteristics of different seismoactive regions. The first characteristic is the waiting time between earthquakes ΔT, the second one is a new space parameter ΔDmin, which is the minimum distance of a current seismic event to the nearest (in space) neighbor in an energy–spatial–temporal interval. The distribution of the characteristics ΔT and ΔDmin allows estimating the time interval to the next earthquake and the distance of the following earthquake from previous earthquakes. Thus, these characteristics are very important for seismic hazard estimations. Scaling of distributions functions is proven to be successful for ΔDmin in all energy–spatial–temporal intervals and for ΔT with variations of energy/magnitude range. The distribution function of ΔT for various time domains was stable in only 60% of the cases, and near to unstable for spatial variations.  相似文献

利用幂函数分布在高端截尾 (uppertruncation)条件下具有分形性质 ,即尺度不变的特征 ,证明了统计量q具有分形性质 ,即它与尺度参数k无关。在总体的随机变量X服从幂函数分布条件下 ,从“p10 0 /q10 0”律的概率形式推出“p10 0 /q10 0”律的分形形式 ;“80 /2 0”律是“p10 0 /q10 0”律的一种特殊分形形式。当a =1.16,p =0 .2 0时 ,q =0 .80 ;将“p10 0 /q10 0”律应用于山东胶东地区金矿床储量数据 ,得到了该地区大中小型金矿床的“p10 0 /q10 0”律表达式和相应的百分数。比较理论计算的结果与样本观察值计算的结果大小 ,可预测该地区可能存在 1个或 2个大型金矿床。  相似文献

Increasing attention has been paid to the use of non-Gaussian distributions as models of heterogeneity in sedimentary formations in recent years. In particular, the Lévy-stable distribution has been shown to be a useful model of the distribution of the increments of data measured in well logs. Frequently, the width of this distribution follows a power–law type scaling with increment lag, thus suggesting a nonstationary, fractal, multivariate Lévy distribution as a useful random field model. However, in this paper we show that it is very difficult to formulate a multivariate Lévy distribution with any nontrivial spatial correlations that can be sampled from rigorously in large models. Conventional sequential simulation techniques require two properties to hold of a multivariate distribution in order to work: (1) the marginal distributions must be of relatively simple form, and (2) in the uncorrelated limit, the multivariate distribution must factor into a product of independent distributions. At least one of these properties will break down in a multivariate Lévy distribution, depending on how it is formulated. This makes a rigorous derivation of a sequential simulation algorithm impossible. Nonetheless, many of the original observations that spurred the original interest in multivariate Lévy distributions can be reproduced with a conventional normal scoring procedure. Secondly, an approximate formulation of a sequential simulation algorithm can adequately reproduce the Lévy distributions of increments and fractal scaling frequently seen in real data.  相似文献

In this paper the scaling hypotheses are applied to annual maximum series of rainfall depth for different rainfall duration to derive the depth–duration–frequency (DDF) curve. It is shown that, based on the empirically observed scaling properties of rainfall and some general assumptions about the cumulative distribution function for the annual maximum of the rainfall depth, it is possible to derive a simple DDF relationship. This general framework provides a basis for the generation of maps that can be used to infer DDF curves at any point of a particular area. Data from a dense raingauge network in a mountainous region in north-eastern Italy (the Trentino Province) are used to clarify the methodology for the construction and regionalization of the DDF relationship. The geographical variation of short-duration (i.e., less than 60 xmin) rainfall extremes is also evaluated by using the same framework. It is found that depth–duration ratios, defined as the ratios of the t-min to the 60-min rainfall depths of the same return period, may be considered independent of return period and geographical location for any storm duration less than 60 min.  相似文献

尺度不变性(scale invariance)包括自相似性(各向同性)、自仿射性(成层结构)、广义自相似性(各向异性标度不变性),是由各种地质过程和地质事件所产生的地质特征和模式的本质属性.尺度不变性可用分形和多重分形模型来表征.这些尺度特征的定量化可为刻画地质空问模式和模式识别提供有力的工具.例如。热液矿床的群聚现象可以用局部分形特征(局部奇异性)来刻画.通过在特征空问中(如频率空问)识别空问模式的广义自相似性.可以将空间混合模式进行分解或异常的识别.介绍了几种相关的分形模型和方法。包括度量空问模式广义尺度独立性(GSI)的线性模型;基于广义尺度独立性的异常分解S—A方法;度量空问模式的局部奇异性方法;以及如何利用分形特征预测未发现矿床的2种方法.有些方法已应用于许多矿产资源评价实例中.给出了对加拿大Nova Scotia省西南部湖泊沉积物样品中的4种元素As、Pb、Zn和Cu的地球化学数据处理分析结果。证明了局部奇异性分析和S—A异常分解方法对地球化学异常的增强和分离的有效性.研究表明:由S—A方法分解的异常往往具有多重分形的特点,而且普遍具有局部奇异性.研究区内具有明显奇异性的地区(元素含量富集区)是金矿异常区域。它们与金矿成矿作用和已知矿床的赋存密切相关.  相似文献

Distributions of time between consecutive earthquakes verify an approximately universal scaling law for stationary seismicity. The shape of these distributions is shown to arise as a mixture of one distribution for short‐distance events and an exponential distribution for far‐off events, the distinction from short and long distances being relative to the size of the region studied. The distributions of consecutive distances show a double power law decay and verify an approximate scaling law which guarantees the simultaneous fulfillment of the scaling laws for time. The interplay between space and time can be seen as well by looking at the distribution of distances for a fixed time separation. These results suggest that seismicity can be understood as a series of intertwined independent continuous‐time random walks, with power law‐distributed waiting times and Lévy‐flight jumps. However, a simple model based on these ideas does not capture the invariance of seismicity under renormalization.  相似文献

Reinterpretation of field studies of bedload transport allowed some power-law relations to be obtained between different quantities. They were taken as a basis for the construction of a numerical model simulating bedload transport. The deposition-erosion process is presented as a sequence of individual events with intensities distributed according to a power law, characteristic of the regime of self-organized criticality. The model output (sedimentary cross sections with the model age of each of its elements) is rich in features resulting from the non-linearity of the underlying process. Analysis of the results of a series of numerical experiments provided an estimation of scale invariance of model sedimentary structures in space and time. These data are tested against observed regularities of spaciotemporal variability of real sedimentary sequences. Good agreement of these data makes it possible to extrapolate the scaling relations obtained to larger scales.  相似文献

Distribution of landslides in southwest New Zealand   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
This study examines the size distribution of a regional medium-scale inventory of 778 landslides in the mountainous southwest of New Zealand. The spatial density of mapped landslides per unit area can be expressed as a negative power–law function of Landslide area AL spanning three orders of magnitude (10–2–101 km2). Although observed in other studies on landslide inventories, this relationship is surprising, given the lack of absolute ages, and thus uncertainty about the temporal observation window encompassed by the data. Large slope failures (arbitrarily defined here as having a total affected area AL>1 km2) constitute 83% of the total affected landslide area ALT. This dominance by area affects slope morphology, where large-scale landsliding reduces slope angles below the regional modal value of hillslopes, mod39°. More numerous smaller and shallower failures tend to be superimposed on the pre-existing relief. Empirical scaling relationships show that large landslides involve >106 m3 of material. The volumes VL of individual preserved and presumably prehistoric (i.e. pre-1840) landslide deposits equate to 100–102 years of total sediment production from shallow landsliding in the respective catchments, and up to 103 years of contemporary regional sediment yield from the mountain ranges. Their presence in an erosional landscape indicates the geomorphic importance of landslides as temporary local sediment storage.  相似文献

Spectral studies of geologic logs demonstrate that automatic well—log correlation can be processed more efficiently in the frequency domain. Cross correlation of the power spectra of well logs identifies the direction and degree of thickening of stratigraphic sequences between two wells. Given the stretch, the displacement between logs is computed by correlation processes without relying on iterative procedures. Beginning with digitized log data of unequal lengths, power spectra are computed. The stretch factor between the two logs is observed as a difference in frequency scaling. A transform to logarithmic frequencies converts the spectra to a form that reduces the scaling effect of the frequencies to a simple displacement between the plots. A Lagrange interpolation procedure permits cross correlation of the two spectra with a variable window size. The peak value of the resultant correlation function identifies the displacement between the spectra and this, in turn, permits calculation of the stretch factor.  相似文献

A constitutive law for viscoelastic behaviour of rocks is derived from irreversible thermodynamics. To this model, two specific parameters are introduced; one is an internal state variable which is a variable concerning the microstructures such as defects in crystals or microcracks, and the other is a temperature reduced time obtained by normalizing the various temperature behaviours. A large number of internal state variables have the respective relaxation times and show the respective time evolutions, while a set of the time evolutions generates temporal power-law behaviour of rocks. The time evolutions of internal states are regarded as dynamics of elements of the generalized Maxwell model, and the stress–strain relation is represented by a response function following a temporal power-law in terms of linear system theory. This relation is inversely formulated to investigate the source field from output data. This model enables us to explain experimentally-based constitutive laws for transient and steady-state behaviour of rocks (e.g., lherzolite) following a temporal power-law and for attenuation behaviour of polycrystals (e.g., olivine) represented by a relation between the quality factor and frequency. Both laws show power-laws on deformation time or frequency depending on the fractal structure in polycrystals or rocks, and the experimental high-temperature behaviours can be extrapolated to long deformation time or high frequency behaviour.  相似文献

A method based on the principles of electrochemistry has been applied for the first time with indigenous equipment in the search for base-metal sulphides, following a field exploration technique known as ‘CHIM — 10’, which is in use in the U.S.S.R. for the last few years. The technique utilizes the electro-positive property of the metallic ions. When a large section of the ground is artificially electrolyzed by the introduction of a direct current, the metallic ions within the moist soil profile close to the mineralized zone tend to move towards the energizing cathodes of a powerful widely spaced electrode array. A laboratory model experiment was conducted first which showed encouraging results. Subsequently, a prototype field unit was fabricated and employed to examine its effectiveness in the field on a soil profile over the base-metal sulphide zones of Aladahalli area, Hassan District, Karnataka, where the geology of the deposit is well known.The results obtained during the field trials were quite good and in full conformity with the known geology. However, detailed evaluation of those data after applying necessary corrections for the different variable parameters of the system is yet to be done. Work is in progress to refine the technique with a view to standardizing and developing its use for qualitative and quantitative assessment of a concealed base-metal deposit in a given area, specially where conventional geochemical exploration methods are not suitable.The paper deals with the details of the technique and discusses the results obtained during the trial run in the field.  相似文献

Decomposing mixed geochemical patterns is a challenge in geochemical exploration and environmental assessment. In this paper, the spectrum–area technique (SA) is used to decompose a mixed pattern of arsenic in Gangdese belt based on stream sediment data. SA is a multifractal model based on power–law relationships between area of the set consisting of wave numbers with spectral energy density above S[A(>S)] on the 2D frequency domain. The original spatial distribution map of arsenic obtained by inverse distance weighted (IDW) shows a mixed pattern due to superposition of different geological processes or events and is converted into the frequency domain by means of Fourier transformation. Two components, including power spectrum density and phases, are obtained. The spectrum energy density (S) and the area (A) enclosed by the above-threshold spectrum energy density is plotted on a log–log scale. Two cutoff values determined by three straight lines define three filters which decompose the original map of arsenic into background, anomalous, and high frequency (noise) components. The areas with high anomaly of arsenic mainly are located surrounding known Cu deposits, indicating that arsenic anomalies may be related to Cu mineralization.  相似文献

Spatial and scaling modelling for geochemical anomaly separation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A spatial and scaling approach with a user-friendly windows program is introduced which can be used to assist exploration geologists and geochemists in geochemical data analysis and anomaly separation. It can also be used for image enhancement and classification. Statistics are calculated and optimized within a variable-sized moving window centred at an arbitrary sample location. The moving window has both variable size and shape determined by three parameters: r (size), β (ratio of long and short axes), and θ (orientation). It calculates five optimal indexes for each sample location: the optimal statistic U(r000), optimal size r0, shape indexes β0 and θ0, and scaling index α (singularity exponent). These indexes characterize the entities present in an image from different angles and, therefore, can be analyzed by means of multivariate techniques to assist in image enhancement and classification. The user-friendly program prepared can be used in conjunction with GIS (Geographic Information System) software such as ArcView to implement the spatial and scaling method. It has been applied to the stream sediment geochemical data set (923 grid samples) for gold mineral exploration in the Habahe map sheet, Altay Shan, Xinjiang, northwestern China. The spatial and scaling method provides better results than the ordinary moving average method.  相似文献

Despite significant progress made in recent years, a fundamental understanding of immiscible displacements at the macroscale is lacking. In this paper we use a version of percolation theory, based on invasion percolation in a gradient, to connect drainage processes at the pore-network scale with the displacement at the macroscale. When the mobility ratio M is sufficiently small, the displacement is stabilized and can be described by invasion percolation in a stabilizing gradient. In the opposite case, it has common features with invasion percolation in a destabilizing gradient. A diagram delineating the regimes of fully developed drainage is developed. The transition between stabilized displacement and fingering is controlled by the change of the sign of the gradient of the percolation probability, and the transition boundary is described by a scaling law involving the capillary number and the viscosity ratio. We review recent work for random networks and extend the method to correlated pore networks. As the regimes of stabilized displacement are also those for which conventional theories (such as the Buckley–Leverett equation) are expected to apply, the phase diagram helps to delineate their validity.  相似文献

Irreversible thermodynamic theories with internal state variables can be used to derive a general constitutive law for both transient and steady-state behaviours of rocks. This constitutive law can represent the concepts of damage and damage evolution in either the fibre-bundle model or continuum damage mechanics. We have previously proposed an empirically based constitutive law for both the transient and steady-state behaviours of rocks ultimately derived from laboratory experimental data. We show here that this law is concordant with the general constitutive law derived from irreversible thermodynamic theories, and that the relaxation modulus has a temporal power–law that depends on a structural fractal property of rocks. Our constitutive law predicts forms for the cumulative Benioff strain-release for precursory seismic activations and the modified Omori's laws of aftershocks, both aspects of the temporal fractal properties of seismicity. These seismic properties can also be derived by the fibre-bundle model or continuum damage mechanics. Our model suggests that these time-scale invariant processes of seismicity may be regulated by the fractal structures of crustal rocks.  相似文献

Magnetic observations over the area of the Transantarctic Mountains (TAM) and the Ross Sea have been compiled into a digital database that furnishes a new regional scale view of the magnetic anomaly crustal field in this key sector of the Antarctic continent. This compilation is a component of the ongoing IAGA/SCAR Antarctic Digital Magnetic Anomaly Project (ADMAP). The aeromagnetic surveys total 115 000 line km, and are distributed across the Victoria Land sector of the TAM, the Ross Sea, and Marie Byrd Land. The magnetic campaigns were performed within the framework of the national and international Italian–German–US Antarctic research programs and conducted with differing specifications during nine field seasons from 1971 until 1997. Generally flight line spacing was less than 5 km while survey altitude varied from about 610 to 4000 m above sea level for barometric surveys and was equal to 305 m above topography for the single draped survey. Reprocessing included digitizing the old contour data, improved levelling by means of microlevelling in the frequency domain, and re-reduction to a common reference field based on the DGRF90 model. A multi-frequency grid procedure was then applied to obtain a coherent and merged total intensity magnetic anomaly map. The shaded relief map covers an area of approximately 380 000 km2. This new compilation provides a regional image of the location and spatial extent of the Cenozoic alkaline magmatism related to the TAM–Ross Sea rift, Jurassic tholeiites, and crustal segments of the Early Palaeozoic magmatic arc. A linear, approximately 100-km wide and 600-km long Jurassic rift-like structure is newly identified. Magnetic fabric in the Ross Sea rift often matches seismically imaged Cenozoic fault arrays. Major buried onshore pre-rift fault zones, likely inherited from the Ross Orogen, are also delineated. These faults may have been reactivated as strike-slip belts that segmented the TAM into various crustal blocks.  相似文献
