Siliciclastic metasediments of the Ladoga Group that is the Kalevian stratotype in Karelia correlative with the Kalevian siliciclastic succession in Finland are studied in terms of geochemistry and Sm-Nd isotopic systematics. The results obtained show that rocks in the Ladoga Group lower part are enriched, as compared to rocks of the upper part, in TiO2, Fe2O3, MgO, Cr, Co, Ni, and Sc, being comparatively depleted in Al2O3 and Th that is a result of compositional changes in provenances. The Sm-Nd isotopic data evidence that siliciclastic sediments of the Ladoga Group have accumulated during the erosion of rocks, which originated at the time of the Archean and Early Proterozoic crust-forming processes. Siliciclastic material with the Archean and Early Proterozoic TNd(DM) values, which are characteristic of metasediments in the group lower part, was derived respectively from granite gneisses of the Archean basement in the Karelian megablock of the Baltic Shield and from volcanic rocks of the Sortavala Group. Volcanic rocks of island-arc terranes of the Svecofennian foldbelt represented main source of siliciclastic material that accumulated in upper part of the succession.  相似文献

The compositions of coexisting hornblendes and biotites from amphibolite and granulite facies gneisses from the south coast of Western Australia were controlled by host rock composition, paragenesis, metamophic grade, pressure, and oxygen fugacity. The Mg/(Mg + Fe2+) and Mn/Fe2+ ratios in both minerals and possibly the Alvi contents of the hornblendes are related to host rock compositions. Metamorphic grade appears to influence, perhaps only indirectly, the Ti, Mn, and Fe3+ contents of both minerals and possibly the hornblende Ca content. The higher Ti and lower Mn contents of the granulite facies hornblendes and biotites are attributed to their coexistence with pyroxenes, whereas their lower Fe3+/(Fe2+ + Fe3+) ratios are probably due to lower oxygen fugacity in the granulite facies environment. Grade-related colour variations in both minerals were controlled by their Ti/Fe2+ and Fe3+/(Fe2+ + Fe3+ ratios. The relatively low Alvi contents of the hornblendes suggest low- to moderate-pressure metamorphism.Variations in element distribution coefficients are related to variations in mineral compositions rather than metamorphic grade. Thus KD(Aliv ?Si) is related to the Aliv andedenite alkali contents of the hornblendes, KD(Fe2+ ?Mg) to the distributions of Aliv ?Si and Alvi + Ti + Fe3+, KD(Mn) to the Mn contents of both minerals, and KD(Alvi) to the Alvi contents of the biotites.  相似文献

Abstract. Pink piemontite-spessartine-bearing and grey-green spessartine-bearing manganiferous quartzose schists derived from siliceous pelagites, and green quartzofeldspathic schists, are described from the greenschist facies of the Haast Schist terrane, near Arrow Junction, western Otago. Electron microprobe data are reported for sphene, spessartine-rich garnet, manganoan epidote, piemontite, tourmaline, phengitic muscovite, chlorite, albite, haematite, rutile, manganoan calcite and chalcopyrite. Metamorphism occurred at about 6.4kbar, 400°C. Xco2 was above the quartz-rutile-calcite-sphene buffer (Xco2± 0.02) throughout the recorded metamorphic history of the piemontite schists. It dropped from above to below this critical buffering value in a spessartine-rich schist and it was close to or below the buffering value in the quartzofeldspathic schists. Production of piemontite required high fO2, believed to be inherited from MnOx in the parent pelagite. Substantial loss of O2 (e.g. minimum of 0.19% by weight in one rock) during diagenesis and/or metamorphism is inferred. In the grey-green schists this inhibited piemontite formation. Slight loss of O2 and Ca2+ accompanied minor late-stage replacement of piemontite by second generation spessartine. Observed zoning and mineral replacements indicate rise of temperature, drop in pressure, or invasion by solutions of lower fO2 and XCO2 equilibrated with surrounding schists. The detailed chemistry of the minerals studied correlates with available Mn and with bulk-rock (Fe3+ x 100)/(Fe2++ Fe3+). The oxidation ratio ranges from 24 in average green quartzofeldspathic schist, through 78 in average grey-green manganiferous quartzose schist, to almost 100 in some piemontite-bearing schists. As Fe2+ gives way to Fe3+, Mg/Fe ratios tend to rise in chlorite, phengite, tourmaline, spessartine, and calcite, Mn increases and Ti decreases in haematite, Mn increases in spessartine and calcite, and Fe increases in rutile. Available divalent cations are depleted relative to Al; chlorite is more aluminous, and phengite more paragonitic than in typical Haast schists.  相似文献

Lithogeochemical-mineralogical haloes around unconformity-type uranium deposits in northern Saskatchewan can expand the size of drill targets up to fifteen times. The deposits are located at or near the unconformity between Aphebian metamorphosed basement rocks in close proximity to Archean granitoids and overlying unmetamorphosed sandstones of the Helikian Athabasca Group. Deposits studied include Key Lake (Deilmann), Midwest Lake and Eagle Point.Unconformity-type deposits are associated with broad alteration haloes in the overlying sandstones and more restricted haloes in the basement rocks. The haloes in the sandstone are localized around steeply dipping fault structures and are characterized by zones of intense leaching of specular hematite and detrital heavy mineral layers and by changes in chemistry related to clay mineral alteration and tourmalinization.Clay mineral alteration haloes are common in the sandstone and basement host rocks. Interstitial clays consist mainly of kaolinite and illite with lesser amounts of chlorite. The ratio K2O/AI2O3 proved useful in delineating illite-kaolinite patterns in the sandstone and in the uppermost portions of the paleoweathering profile in basement rocks. The Midwest deposit is characterized by a broad bell-shaped zone (500 m across strike) of high K2O/AI2O3 ratios (>0.18) in which illite is the dominant clay mineral. The sandstone above the Deilmann deposit, on the other hand, is characterized by silicification and kaolinitization with low K2O/AI2O3 ratios (<0.04). This kaolinite cap overprints a preexisting illite zone.Anomalously high boron values are characteristic of the three deposits considered in this study. Boron anomalies are similar in extent to the anomalous clay mineral alteration haloes. Altered sandstones commonly contain aggregates of radiating magnesium-rich dravite needles within the clay matrix. The interpretation of boron patterns is problema tical however, mainly because of the detrital tourmaline component in sandstones and metamorphic tourmalines present in the Aphebian metasediments.Trace elements such as U, Ni, As and Co are generally of limited use in expanding targets in sandstone because their haloes are restricted to a few tens of metres horizon-anomalies along the steeply dipping zones of mineralization related to fault structures. Uranium (>3 ppm) does form an anomaly more than 200 metres laterally across the Midwest deposit. At the Deilmano deposit anomalous uranium dispersion is restricted to within a few metres of high grade ore.In the basement rocks, the various layers of the paleoweathering profile are geochemically overprinted up to 250 m from mineralization. Bleaching related to illitization and chloritization is associated with enrichment in K2O, MgO, B, S, U, As, Ni and P2O3. The ratio Fe2O3/MgO is useful in delineating chloritization in the upper portion of the paleo weathering profile.Deposits with large root extensions in the Aphebian metasediments such as Eagle Point, have intense dravite-chlorite-illite alteration zones which are restricted to within a few metres of mineralization across strike. ‘Quartzite” units are alteration related. The complexity of the basement lithology inhibits the use of individual elements as alteration guides other than in the intensely altered zone. The application of multivariant techniques, element ratios and clay mineralogical work prove useful in identifying the mineralogical changes at Eagle Point.  相似文献

Lamellar nigerite is found in Zn-rich spinel from a sample that contains chiefly anthophyllite + spinel + cordierite, lesser amounts of quartz and chlorite, as well as sphalerite, pyrite, pyrrhotite, and galena, and rare cassiterite and rutile. Nigerite can be described as interlayering of spinel-like (R2+Al2O4) and nolanite-like ((Sn, Ti)Al4O8) structures. In nigerite, the spinel-like part is also compositionally related to spinel, but in the nolanite-like part only the structural analogy exists. Stoichiometric assumptions that relate the anhydrous cation sum to the amount of R4+ cations present, allow Fe3+ estimates from microprobe analyses, and a representative analysis gives the following anhydrous formula: Mg1.30Fe 0.65 2+ Zn3.03Mn0.03Al11.65Fe 0.35 3+ Sn0.32Ti0.18O24.The nigerite is Zn-rich with a Zn ratio (Zn/(Zn+Mg+ Fe2+)) of about 0.59, and the Sn ratio (Sn/(Sn+Ti)) that ranges from about 0.63 to 0.41. The Fe3+ content in these samples ranges from 0.35 to 0.52 (24 oxygen basis).Textures suggest that the nigerite could have formed by the breakdown of R 2 2+ (Sn, Ti)O4 and R2+Al2O4 spinel components during more complex reactions. An experimental investigation of the MgAl2O4-Mg2SnO4 join indicates that the solubility of Mg2SnO4 component in spinel over the T interval 500 to 900° C is about 0.5 to 3.0 mole %. This, coupled with the increased solubility expected from the presence of Ti, gives good agreement with the 2.4 to 2.6 mole % R 2 2+ (Sn, Ti)O4 component in spinel that is estimated to be the maximum necessary to form the compositions and amounts of observed nigerite.  相似文献

Metabasic rocks interbedded in amphibolite facies supracrustal gneisses outcrop around Lac Carnu in the Aiguilles Rouges massif (Western Alps). The cores of the thickest boudinaged lenses are made up of eclogitic amphibolites grading outwards into amphibolites. The common assemblage is unzoned garnet + symplectitic clinopyroxebe + hornblende + plagioclase. In a slightly amphibolitized sample, minimum P and T conditions of equilibrium between garnet and omphacite inclusions are 780°C and 11 Kb. A polymetamorphic pre-Alpine evolution of the massif is thus demonstrated. Eclogitic amphibolites show variations in major element composition similar to the Skaergaard evolution in the Al2O3 ? FeO + Fe2O3 ? MgO triangle. Variation diagrams in which Zr is taken as differentiation index also indicate magmatic trends for Mn, Ti, P, Ni, Co, Y, V and Cr, Ca, K, Na, Sr, Rb and Si were mobile during the evolution of the rocks. The igneous trend can be described by a quantitative model of fractional crystallization in which a noritic assemblage separated in the initial stage. This provides evidence of crustal P, T conditions of differentiation for the original materoal and in situ evolution for the eclogites. A second group of amphibolites shows banded structure and transitional terms with the surrounding gneisses. A volcano-sedimentary origin is suggested though the process cannot be modelled. The rocks may result from complex interactions of magnetic, metasomatic and sedimentary processes. It is concluded that Lac Cornu metabasites were originally continental tholeiites, though several geochemical criteria tend to indicate an oceanic origin. This casts some doubt on the validity of these criteria, when applied to metamorphic rocks.  相似文献

The Gabal Marwa area is located in the southeastern part of Sinai,Egypt.It comprises gneisses and migmatites,granodiorites and monzogranites.Field,petrographic,mineralogic and chemical investigations indicated that the Gabal Marwa granites are classified as granodiorites and monzogranites.The monzogranites constitute the most predominant rock unit exposed in the study area.They have been subjected to hydrothermal alterations,especially along the shear zones.Sericitization,desilicification,nametasomatism and development of spotty or dendritic manganese oxides are the most pronounced alteration features.These alterations resulted in the increase of TiO2,Al2O3,FeOt,MnO,CaO,MgO,Na2O,K2O and Cr,Zr,Rb,Y and Sr and the decrease of SiO2,P2O5,Ni,Zn,Ba and Nb.Radiometric studies indicated that the altered granites belong to high thorium,high uranium granites.The U,Th,U and Th,Th/U,Th and U-K variation diagrams suggested that magmatic processes controlled the distribution of these elements but the effect of hydrothermal alteration processes were clearly distinct.The Scanning Electron Microscope and X-ray Diffraction analyses indicated that the most important radioactive minerals include uranothorite,thorite,zircon,monazite and samarskite.Cinnabar and Mn minerals were also found.From the U,Th,Ra and K activity concentrations obtained for all the studied granitic samples,radium equivalent activity(Raeq),external hazard index(Hex),and internal hazard index(Hin),were calculated to assess the radiation hazard to human beings living in dwellings made of the studied granites.Altered monzogranites have radioactivity above the proposed acceptable level and,therefore,caution must be taken when these granites are used as building materials.  相似文献

在华北克拉通北部,太古代麻粒岩古陆核与陆外沉积盆地(红旗营子群)之间已经厘定出一个晚太古代的古洋壳残片(Wang et al., 2009)。此残片南北两侧又发现了低Al2O3 型TTG岩体(2512±19Ma)、富钾高铬的深熔花岗岩(Closepet-like),含Cr 97×10-6~308×10-6,以及含大量密集的煌斑岩脉的含石英的二长岩(Sanukitoid-like)等三类在成因上与俯冲带密切相关的岩体。低Al2O3型TTG是在角闪麻粒岩亚相条件下由俯冲中的滑片部分熔融所生成。深熔花岗岩是TTG再熔融的产物,而它们的基性化演化和Cr的增高是幔源岩浆与富钾深熔花岗岩经复杂的岩浆混合和交代改造的结果。  相似文献

Cordierite–orthoamphibole gneisses and rocks of similar composition commonly contain low‐variance mineral assemblages that can provide useful information about the metamorphic evolution of a terrane. New calculated petrogenetic grids and pseudosections are presented in the FeO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2–H2O (FMASH), Na2O–CaO–K2O–FeO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2–H2O (NCKFMASH) and Na2O–CaO–K2O–FeO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2–H2O–TiO2–Fe2O3 (NCKFMASHTO) chemical systems to investigate quantitatively the phase relations in these rocks. Although the bulk compositions of cordierite–orthoamphibole gneisses are close to FMASH, calculations in this system do not adequately account for the observed range of mineral assemblages. Calculations in NCKFMASH and NCKFMASHTO highlight the role of minor constituents such as Ca, Na and Fe3+ in the mineral assemblage evolution of such rocks and these systems are more appropriate for interpreting the evolution of natural examples.  相似文献

The Shalair area, which is located in northeastern Iraq, is considered to be part of the northern Sanandaj-Sirjan Zone (SaSZ) and contains several granitoid bodies. One of these bodies, the Mishao porphyritic-granite (MG), was crystallized at 111.6?±?2.4 Ma, based on its zircon U-Pb age. Its geochemical characteristics suggest that the MG rocks are calc-alkaline, peraluminous, I-type granites with microgranular mafic enclaves. They are enriched in SiO2, Na2O, Al2O3 and Zr and depleted in MgO, Fe2O3, Nb and Ti; in contrast, the enclave sample records lower SiO2 content and higher contents of MgO and Fe2O3. These rocks show an enrichment of LREE relative to HREE, and pronounced negative Eu anomalies implying feldspar fractionation. The isotopic and geochemical characteristics of the MG samples suggest that these rocks are evolved through fractional crystallization. In the La/Nb-Nb diagram and Sm/Nd ratios, the MG rocks and the enclave samples exhibit strong evidence for crustal contamination. The MG rocks record high initial 87Sr/86Sr (0.70625–0.70740) and low 143Nd/144Nd(i) (0.51235–0.51274) ratios. These Sr-Nd isotopic data, combined with the presence of high Th/U and Rb/Sr ratios and significant depletions of Nb, Ta and Ti, show a relation of these bodies to an active continental margin regime. Based on the age and geochemical data of the MG, this study presents new information about the occurrence of Middle Cretaceous magmatic activities, which are related to the active continental margins in the SaSZ that run parallel to the Zagros Fold-Thrust Belt.  相似文献

Petrographic and geochemical data on the sandstones of the Proterozoic intracratonic Kaladgi–Badami basin, southern India are presented to elucidate the palaeoweathering pattern, and composition and tectonics of their provenance. The Kaladgi–Badami basin, hosting the Kaladgi Supergroup, occupies an E–W trending area. The Supergroup unconformably overlies Archaean basement TTG gneisses, granites and greenstones, comprises a cyclic arenite–pelite–carbonate association and is divided into the Bagalkot and Badami Groups. The immature arkosic character of the basal Saundatti Quartzite Member (Bagalkot Group) containing fresh and angular feldspars, along the northern margin of the basin, suggests that during the initial stage of deposition, this part of the basin received sediments from a restricted, uplifted and less weathered source dominated by K-rich granites occurring to the north. In contrast, the Saundatti Quartzite along the southern margin displays a mostly mature, quartz-rich character with less abundant but severely weathered feldspars, and higher SiO2 and CIA but lower Al2O3, TiO2, Rb, Sr, Ba, K2O, K2O/Na2O, Zr/Ni and Zr/Cr. This is interpreted in terms of a tectonically stable, considerably weathered mixed source (Archaean gneisses, granites and greenstones) along the southern fringe of the basin. The highly mature (quartz arenite) Muchkundi Quartzite Member (also of the Bagalkot Group), occurring higher up in the succession, exhibits minor but severely altered feldspars, and higher SiO2, Na2O, CIA, Cr and Ni with lower K2O, Al2O3, TiO2 and K2O/Na2O. This reflects that with the passage of time the source evolved to a uniform, extensively weathered, tectonically stable peneplained provenance which consisted of less evolved TTG gneisses and greenstones. This was followed by closure, deformation and upliftment of the basin hosting the Bagalkot Group and subsequent deposition of the Badami Group. Sandstone Members of this younger Group (Cave-Temple Arenite and Belikhindi Arenite) range widely in mineralogy (quartz arenite to arkose) and chemistry (including CIA), and point to a source that varied from uplifted, less weathered K-rich granites to less evolved, peneplained TTG gneisses and greenstones or even Bagalkot sediments. Variable alteration of feldspars in the Kaladgi sandstones and severe depletion of Ca, Na and Sr in the associated shales indicate a humid tropical (tropical and subtropical) climate facilitating chemical weathering.  相似文献

Corundum (ruby-sapphire) is known to have formed in situ within Archean metamorphic rocks at several localities in the North Atlantic Craton of Greenland. Here we present two case studies for such occurrences: (1) Maniitsoq region (Kangerdluarssuk), where kyanite paragneiss hosts ruby corundum, and (2) Nuuk region (Storø), where sillimanite gneiss hosts ruby corundum. At both occurrences, ultramafic rocks (amphibole-peridotite) are in direct contact with the ruby-bearing zones, which have been transformed to mica schist by metasomatic reactions. The bulk-rock geochemistry of the ruby-bearing rocks is consistent with significant depletion of SiO2 in combination with addition of Al2O3, MgO, K2O, Th and Sr relative to an assumed aluminous precursor metapelite. Phase equilibria modelling supports ruby genesis from the breakdown of sillimanite and kyanite at elevated temperatures due to the removal of SiO2. The juxtaposition of relatively silica- and aluminum-rich metasedimentary rocks with low silica ultramafic rocks established a chemical potential gradient that leached/mobilized SiO2 allowing corundum to stabilize in the former rocks. Furthermore, addition of Al2O3 via a metasomatic reaction is required, because Al/Ti is fractionated between the aluminous precursor metapelites and the resulting corundum-bearing mica schist. We propose that Al was mobilized either by complexation with hydroxide at alkaline conditions, or that Al was transported as K-Al-Si-O polymers at deep crustal levels. The three main exploration vectors for corundum within Archean greenstone belts are: (1) amphibolite- to granulite-facies metamorphic conditions, (2) the juxtaposition of ultramafic rocks and aluminous metapelite, and (3) mica-rich reactions zones at their interface.  相似文献

玉峰金矿位于中亚造山带东天山东缘,是近年来新发现的含银高品位金矿床。该矿床目前已探明6个金矿体,均赋存在石英斑岩中。矿区热液蚀变作用发育,与成矿关系最密切的为黄铁绢英岩化和硅化,显示明显的蚀变分带:以石英硫化物脉为中心,黄铁绢英岩化带在其两侧大致对称分布。本文选取矿体上盘和下盘的石英斑岩、黄铁绢英岩进行了全岩的主、微量元素及成矿元素测试,并对其中的长石和绢云母进行电子探针成分分析。测试结果表明,黄铁绢英岩中的Au含量较蚀变前呈指数级增长,Ag、Cu、As等成矿元素大量增加,CaO、Na_2O、P_2O_5、P_2O_5、Sr、Pb、Th、U、Sb等元素显著迁出,而SiO_2、Al_2O_3、TiO_2含量和稀土元素含量变化较小,表现稳定。热液蚀变过程中,石英斑岩中71%~76%的正长石发生绢云母化,导致K_2O大量迁出;而钠长石几乎全部蚀变为绢云母,造成Na_2O大量迁出。热液流体的贡献使得蚀变岩中MgO、Fe_2O_3~T含量成倍增加,并主要富集在绢云母和/或黄铁矿晶格中。综合分析认为,绢英岩化蚀变带,Au、Cu、As和Bi等元素的综合化探异常,低电阻率、高激化率的地球物理特征可以作为玉峰矿区深部和外围找矿的标志。研究区内的石炭纪石英斑岩带,尤其是在构造叠加部位,热液活动使其更有利于矿化富集,是找矿勘探的有利部位。  相似文献

The itabirite-bearing metasedimentary sequence from Morro Escuro Ridge comprises the basal units of the Espinhaço Supergroup and makes up a small tectonic inlier developed during one of the Brasiliano orogenic events (800-500 Ma), amongst horses of the Archean TTG gneisses, including sheared granites of the anorogenic Borrachudos Suite (∼1700 Ma). The metasedimentary rocks are comprised of low-to intermediate-amphibolite facies schists, quartzites, conglomerates and banded iron formation (itabirite) correlatable with the sequences of the Serro Group, which underlies the metasedimentary rocks of the Espinhaço Supergroup in the Serra da Serpentina Ridge. A maximum Statherian deposition age (1668 Ma) was established using SHRIMP U–Pb isotopic constraints on zircon grains from conglomerate and quartzite units overlying the itabirite. The itabirite is predominantly hematitic and its geochemical characteristics are typical of a Lake Superior-type BIF deposited in a platformal, suboxic to anoxic environment distant from Fe-bearing hydrothermal vents. Close to the contact zone with amphibolites of the Early Neoproterozoic Pedro Lessa mafic suite, an increase of the magnetite content and crystallization of metasomatic Mg-hornblende and Ce-allanite can be observed. These mineralogical changes developed preferentially along the igneous contact zone but are probably co-genetic with the formation of alteration haloes in zircon grains during the Neoproterozoic Brasiliano orogeny (506 ± 6 Ma).  相似文献

A complex of Precambrian polymetamorphic gneisses and granitoids of the Churchill structural province, northeastern Alberta, Canada has been examined structurally, petrographically, chemically and geochronologically. An Archean basement gneiss complex is indicated by Rb-Sr dating of pegmatites which cut both gneisses and granitoids (2470 ± 26 Ma with an initial 87Sr/86Sr ratio of 0.7030 ± 0.0008). A high-pressure granulite facies (M1) mineral assemblage and older structures (D1) are assigned to the Archean. A moderate-pressure granulite facies (M2.1), a low-pressure amphibolite facies (M2.2), a greenschist facies (M2.3), and younger structures (D2) are of Aphebian age. Formation of granitoids by anatexis of the pre-existing Archean basement complex during M2.1 is indicated by their Aphebian ages (ca. 1900 Ma) and high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.7100 ± 0.0018). The path of retrograde metamorphism is linked with relatively slow rates of uplift and cooling. Late Aphebian sediments attained low-grade greenschist facies metamorphism only and are younger than the other metamorphic rocks. The tectonic evolution of this Precambrian mobile belt during the Aphebian contrasts with the stable Archean cratonic block in the Slave province to the north.  相似文献

Al_2O_3和Ti在风化和热液蚀变等地球化学过程中通常被认为是不活动元素,两者的比值Al_2O_3/Ti常被用来指示地球化学作用过程。通过对中国157件火成岩样品元素含量平均值的统计发现,火成岩样品中Al_2O_3/Ti与SiO_2含量值之间存在着较好的幂函数关系:ln(Al_2O_3/Ti)=0.073×SiO_2-0.89,式中Al_2O_3和SiO_2和Ti含量单位均为%。本文基于得到的经验方程和TAS图解构建了一个新的判别岩石类型的图解——Al_2O_3-Ti图解。该图解可以区分酸性岩、中酸性岩、中性岩、中基性岩-基性岩四类岩性。通过对三个火成岩风化剖面的研究发现,花岗岩风化剖面从新鲜基岩到风化形成的土壤在Al_2O_3-Ti图解中均落在酸性岩区,花岗闪长岩风化剖面从新鲜基岩到风化形成的土壤样品均落在中酸性岩区,玄武质安山岩风化剖面从新鲜基岩到风化形成的土壤样品均落在中基性岩-基性岩区。不同风化程度的风化产物与其母岩在Al_2O_3-Ti图解中所在的区域一致,即Al_2O_3-Ti图解可以用来追溯火成岩风化产物的母岩岩性。通过对胶东焦家金矿和豫西牛头沟金矿两个矿区岩石的研究发现,黑云母花岗岩从新鲜岩石到其蚀变岩及其形成矿石的样品在Al_2O_3-Ti图解中均落在酸性岩区。玄武质安山岩从新鲜岩石到其蚀变岩及其形成矿石的样品在Al_2O_3-Ti图解中均落在中基性岩-基性岩区。即不同蚀变程度的蚀变产物与其原岩在Al_2O_3-Ti图解中所在的区域一致,这表明新构建的Al_2O_3-Ti图解可以用来示踪蚀变岩的原岩性质。  相似文献

Geological and geochemical data indicate that the formation of the granulite-like rocks in the contact aureole of the Yurchik gabbronorite intrusion of the Ganal Range, Kamchatka, was caused by the contact metamorphism, metasomatism, and local melting of the initial volcanosedimentary rocks of the Vakhtalka Sequence of the Ganal Group. The temperature in the inner part of the aureole reached 700–800°C and caused the transformation of the basic volcanic rocks of the sequence into two pyroxene-plagioclase, clinopyroxene-amphibole-plagioclase, and amphibole-plagioclase hornfelses, while sedimentary rocks were converted into garnet-biotite ± cordierite hornfelses. The hornfelsed basic volcanic rocks were locally subjected to metasomatic alteration and magmatic replacement with formation of biotite-orthopyroxene-plagioclase metasomatic bodies containing biotite-orthopyroxene-plagioclase ± garnet veinlets and aggregates. During these processes, sedimentary interlayers were converted into garnet enderbites at 700–800°C and 3.2–4.8 kbar. The comparison of the chemical composition of basic volcanic rocks of the Vakhtalka Sequence and their transformation products indicates that the metasomatic alteration and magmatic replacement correspond to siliceous-alkaline metasomatism (granitization) and cause subsequent and uneven influx of SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O, K2O, Rb, Ba, Zr, Nb, and Cl and removal of Fe, Mg, Mn, Ca, Cr, Co, Ti, Y, and S. REE data on basic metavolcanic rocks, hornfelses, and metasomatites suggest that the processes of hornfelsation, metasomatism, and magmatic replacement of the initial volcanic rocks were accompanied by significant increase in LREE and slight decrease in HREE. The Sr and Nd isotope study of the rocks in the aureole showed that the initial basic volcanic rocks of the Vakhtalka Sequence are isotopically close to both mature island arc tholeiites and mid-ocean ridge basalts. The metasomatic alteration and magmatic replacement of volcanic rocks in the aureole lead to the decrease of 143Nd/144Nd and increase of 87Sr/86Sr approximately parallel to mantle array. Pb isotopic ratios in the studied rocks become more radiogenic from initial metavolcanic rocks to metasomatites. It is suggested that the processes of metamorphism, metasomatism, and magmatic replacement were caused by highly mineralized mantle fluids, which percolated along magmatic channels serving as pathways for gabbroid magma.  相似文献

Spinel-lherzolite xenoliths in alkali basalts from eastern China have porphyroclastic to equigranular textures displaying varying degrees of deformation and subsolidus re-equilibration. The proportions of minerals in these xenoliths vary from 52 to 72% homogeneous olivine (Fo88-91); 11 to 26% orthopyroxene (Wo0.9.1.6; En88-90; Fs8.7.10.7), with minor discontinuous variations of Al2O3, FeO, and CaO; 6 to 19% clinopyroxene (Wo43.47; En49.51; Fs3.7.6.7); and 1 to 5% spinel, with similar Mg# (79.6 to 82.6), but wider variations of Al2O3 and Cr2O3 (100Cr/(Cr + Al + Fe3+) = 8.1 to 23.6). Although previous trace-element and isotopic studies have shown that at least two distinctly different mantle sources were sampled by Cenozoic basalts, mineralogical heterogeneities seem to be minor within the spinel-peridotite-facies lithosphere beneath eastern China.

These xenoliths experienced limited interaction with the host basaltic magma during eruption. Symplectites of secondary, minute silicates, titanomagnetite, and sulfide have replaced orthopyroxene—and to a lesser extent olivine—at the contact with the basalt. The spinel in the margin of the xenolith is continuously zoned by substitutions of Fe3O4 (magnetite) and Fe2TiO4 (ulvospinel) for MgAl2O3 (spinel), and is rimmed by titanomagnetite with a sharp boundary. However, the compositions of the interior clinopyroxenes were commonly modified by metasomatic partial melting, which resulted in “spongy-textured” rinds on primary clinopyroxene. This secondary assemblage is composed mainly of a refractory, jadeite-poor clinopyroxene, which is largely in optica! continuity with the primary clinopyroxene in addition to interstitial feldspars, with minor titanomagnetite and Fe-Ni sulfides. This assemblage was produced by the introduction of K-rich fluids from the enclosing basaltic magma. The intensity of these secondary reactions appears to have been a function of the residence time of the xenolith in the host basalt. Therefore, all secondary alteration of both external and internal primary minerals in these xenoliths are the result of near-surface metasomatic processes, rather than of mantle phenomena.  相似文献

Heterogeneous layers of granulite facies metamorphic basites of the Proterozoic supracrustal Faurefjell Formation in Rogaland, S.W. Norway, display an extreme chemical variation. Within a single layer the bulk chemical composition gradually changes from approximately basaltic in basic granulites to alumina-iron-rich in granofelses. Component-ratios and composition-volume relations indicate open-system chemical reactions mainly involving the extraction of silica. Apparent enrichment in Fe, Ti, P, Al, Zr, Ni, Co, Zn, Y, Nb, Hf and REE and variations in resulting metamorphic mineral assemblages are related to premetamorphic progressive lateritisation of a basaltic protolith. The weathering generated a continuous chemical suite from SiO2=48 wt%, Fe2O3=10 wt% and Al2O3=19 wt% in the basic granulites to 14 wt%, 40 wt% and 25 wt% in the Fe-Al granofelses. Metasomatism during diagenesis and during (very) high-grade metamorphism (1200–900 Ma) further perturbed the concentrations of relatively mobile elements Ca, Mg, K, Rb, Sr, Ba, Na and Li in the laterites without affecting the transition metal ratios. In particular, the REE did not fractionate differentially during the supracrustal and metasomatic alteration.  相似文献
