Sea-ice is an important operational item for real timely monitoring and forecasting marine environment of China. This paper introduces an operational method of satellite remote sensing to monitor sea- ice using quantitative data of NOAA, and its contents include computer processing of AVHRR sounding data of NOAA and its program design, imagery processing of sea-ice imagery from satellite and their thematic analysis. The sea-ice satellite colour imageries processed via this software system are able to interpret sea-ice pattern, characterizing it by thickness, maximum position of ice boundary, floe concentration and dynamic process of ice changing. At the same time, analyses of the ice condition of the Bohai Sea for the two-year period (1986-1988) as monitored by satellite have been summarized.  相似文献

The resolution of the sea-ice component of a coarse-resolution global ocean general circulation model (GCM) has been enhanced to about 22 km in the Southern Ocean. The ocean GCM is designed for long-term integrations suitable for investigations of the deep-ocean equilibrium response to changes in southern hemisphere high-latitude processes. The space and time scales of the high-resolution sea-ice component are commensurate with those of the resolution of satellite passive-microwave sea-ice data. This provides the opportunity for a rigorous evaluation of simulated sea-ice characteristics. It is found that the satellite-derived continuous high ice concentration of the interior winter ice pack can only be captured when vertical oceanic mixing is modified in a way that less local, intermittent convection occurs. Furthermore, the width and the variability of the coastal polynyas around the Antarctic continent and its ice shelves are best captured when some form of ice-shelf melting is accounted for. The width of the wintertime ice edge is reasonably reproduced, while its variability remains underestimated, closely following the coarse-grid pattern of the ocean model due to its high dependence on ocean temperature. Additional variability besides daily winds, e.g. in form of idealized tidal currents, improves the temporal and spatial ice-edge variability, while leads in the interior ice pack become more abundant, more in line with the fine-scale satellite-derived texture. The coast- or ice-shelf line is described on the fine grid based on satellite passive-microwave data. This method requires parts of a coarse coastal ocean grid cell to be covered by an inert layer of “fast ice” or “ice shelf”. Reasonable long-term global deep-ocean properties can only be achieved when these areas are not inert, i.e. are exposed to heat flux and ice growth, or when the vertical mixing parameterization allows for excessive open-ocean convection. The model area exposed to cold high-latitude atmospheric conditions thus being most decisive for a realistic representation of the long-term deep-ocean properties, suggests that high-latitude coastlines are definitely in need of being represented at high resolution, including ice sheets and their effects on the heat and freshwater flux for the ocean.  相似文献

- In the time domain method the dynamic load is successfully identified when the accelerations, velocities and displacements or velocities and displacements of the structure are known. But in engineering practice or experiments usually only the acceleration response is recorded. In this paper an improved time domain method is proposed for dynamic load identification. In this method by using of Duhamel integral, only the acceleration response is required for load identification. As an application of the present method, the dynamic ice load on a Bohai offshore platform is identified based on some measured acceleration. The identified values of ice load are in good agreement with the measured ones.  相似文献

在寒区海域,冰荷载是影响海洋平台安全运行的主要环境荷载之一,由其引起的冰激振动给平台结构及其上部设备带来了严重危害。为分析不同冰况下平台的振动响应,本文建立了导管架海洋平台冰激振动的离散元(DEM)-有限元(FEM)耦合模型。采用具有黏接-破碎性能的等粒径球体离散单元对海冰的破碎特性进行模拟,通过由梁单元构建的海洋平台有限元模型获得结构的振动响应。在离散元与有限元的接触区域中实现了两个模型间计算参数的传递。为提高该耦合模型的计算效率和规模,发展了基于动力子结构方法的DEM-FEM耦合模型。为验证该耦合模型的有效性和可行性,将不同冰况下得到的冰荷载与ISO19906和JTS 144-1-2010标准进行了对比。结果表明,计算得到的冰荷载与标准相近,且冰厚与冰荷载呈二次非线性关系。同时,从冰速和冰厚两方面对比了渤海四桩腿JZ20-2 MUQ锥体导管架平台冰激振动加速度的数值结果和现场实测数据,发现冰速与振动加速度呈线性关系,冰厚与振动加速度呈二次非线性关系,并且振动加速度与冰速和冰厚平方的乘积呈线性关系。  相似文献

近些年来,遥感技术在渤海海冰的监测中发挥了举足轻重的作用。海冰的反射特征是利用光学遥感监测海冰的基础。在晴空条件下,对盛冰期渤海辽东湾东部3种典型的平整海冰的半球-方向反射率因子(hemispherical directional reflectance factor,HDRF)进行了测量,并计算了相应的各向异性因子(anisotropy factor,ANIF),结果表明,只有在太阳光入射主平面内的前向反射方向附近,半球-方向反射率因子与各向异性因子才会迅速增加,而在其他方向上两者的变化不明显。平整海冰的厚度和内部结构等因素会影响HDRF和ANIF随波长变化的特征,在350~1 350 nm波段,厚度较小且表面光滑的平整海冰的HDRF值相对较小,而厚度较大的平整海冰的HDRF值相对较大。在350~950 nm波段,厚度较小且表面光滑的平整海冰ANIF相对较大,而厚度较大的平整海冰的ANIF值相对较小。以上结果充分说明海冰对太阳光入射辐射的反射是冰-气界面的反射与冰体内部的散射的综合结果。  相似文献

The rapid decrease in Arctic sea ice cover and thickness not only has a linkage with extreme weather in the midlatitudes but also brings more opportunities for Arctic shipping routes and polar resource exploration, both of which motivate us to further understand causes of sea-ice variations and to obtain more accurate estimates of seaice cover in the future. Here, a novel data-driven method, the causal effect networks algorithm, is applied to identify the direct precursors of September sea-ice extent covering the Northern Sea Route and Transpolar Sea Route at different lead times so that statistical models can be constructed for sea-ice prediction. The whole study area was also divided into two parts: the northern region covered by multiyear ice and the southern region covered by seasonal ice. The forecast models of September sea-ice extent in the whole study area(TSIE) and southern region(SSIE) at lead times of 1–4 months can explain over 65% and 79% of the variances, respectively,but the forecast skill of sea-ice extent in the northern region(NSIE) is limited at a lead time of 1 month. At lead times of 1–4 months, local sea-ice concentration and sea-ice thickness have a larger influence on September TSIE and SSIE than other teleconnection factors. When the lead time is more than 4 months, the surface meridional wind anomaly from northern Europe in the preceding autumn or early winter is dominant for September TSIE variations but is comparable to thermodynamic factors for NSIE and SSIE. We suggest that this study provides a complementary approach for predicting regional sea ice and is helpful in evaluating and improving climate models.  相似文献

Due to its strong influence on heat and moisture exchange between the ocean and the atmosphere, sea ice is an essential component of the global climate system. In the context of its alarming decrease in terms of concentration, thickness and duration, understanding the processes controlling sea-ice variability and reconstructing paleo-sea-ice extent in polar regions have become of great interest for the scientific community. In this study, for the first time, IP25, a recently developed biomarker sea-ice proxy, was used for a high-resolution reconstruction of the sea-ice extent and its variability in the western North Pacific and western Bering Sea during the past 18,000 years. To identify mechanisms controlling the sea-ice variability, IP25 data were associated with published sea-surface temperature as well as diatom and biogenic opal data. The results indicate that a seasonal sea-ice cover existed during cold periods (Heinrich Stadial 1 and Younger Dryas), whereas during warmer intervals (Bølling-Allerød and Holocene) reduced sea ice or ice-free conditions prevailed in the study area. The variability in sea-ice extent seems to be linked to climate anomalies and sea-level changes controlling the oceanographic circulation between the subarctic Pacific and the Bering Sea, especially the Alaskan Stream injection though the Aleutian passes.  相似文献

The real-time computer-controlled actuators are used to connect the truncated parts of moorings and risers in the active hybrid model testing system. This must be able to work in model-scale real time, based on feedback input from the floater motions. Thus, mooring line dynamics and damping effects are artificially simulated in real time, based on a computer-based model of the problem. In consideration of the nonlinear characteristics of the sea platform catenary mooring line, the equations of the mooring line motion are formulated by using the lumped-mass method and the dynamic response of several points on the mooring line is investigated by the time and frequency domain analysis method. The dynamic response of the representative point on the mooring line is analyzed under the condition of two different corresponding upper endpoint movements namely sine wave excitation and random wave excitation. The corresponding laws of the dynamic response between the equivalent water depth truncated points at different locations and the upper endpoint are obtained, which can provide technical support for further study of the active hybrid model test.  相似文献

This paper describes a method to identify the parameters of the dynamic model of a fixed offshore platform subjected to wind-generated random waves using its stationary response. The structure is modeled as a single degree of freedom system. The parameters identified are the damping coefficient, the natural frequency, and the excitation. In addition, the moment and force acting on the foundation are also identified. The method uses the random decrement signature as a tool to identify the parameters in the equation of motion. Excellent agreements were obtained between the predicted and actual values of the parameters as well as for the reaction and moment at the platform's foundation. The method can be applied without any interruption to the operation of the offshore structure. The method is easy to apply, and uses inexpensive motion measurement instruments. The estimated force and moment can be used as a tool for an on-line foundation check.  相似文献

研究计入弹性变形铰接塔平台在深水中的非线性动力响应。将铰接塔平台简化为顶部具有集中质量,底部具有扭转线性弹簧约束的均匀弹性梁,考虑波浪对平台的作用,应用莫里森(Morison)公式计算铰接塔平台瞬时位置所受水动力,建立了铰接塔平台横向运动的偏微分方程,采用伽辽金方法计算波浪作用下铰接塔平台非线性动力响应。计算了铰接塔平台的固有频率和模态,得到了铰接塔平台不同频率波浪激励下各阶模态的动力响应。计算结果表明,在波浪激励下系统二阶模态将发生2、34、倍超谐共振运动,并且揭示了弹性铰接塔平台在波浪作用下振动的不对称性。  相似文献

对海冰的运动规律进行精确、连续和长周期的实时监测有助于海冰热力学和动力学的研究,也可保障冰区生产活动的安全进行。针对辽东湾海冰的运动特点和工程需求,在JZ20-2油气平台上建立了海冰雷达监测系统。采用数字图像处理技术对海冰雷达监测图像进行了分析和软件开发,可对海冰密集度、速度和冰块面积等海冰参数进行提取。采用该海冰雷达监测系统和数字图像处理软件,在2011-2012年冬季对该海域的海冰运动规律进行了全冰期的连续监测,在此基础上重点对海冰速度的雷达图像监测结果进行了分析,讨论了海冰速度场分布以及连续48 h的变化过程。以上结果为海冰的生消运移规律研究和油气作业区的海冰管理工作提供了可靠的现场监测数据。对海冰雷达现场监测及数字图像处理中的问题及改进方法进行了讨论。  相似文献

Modern numerical sea-ice models contain detailed parameterizations of dynamic and thermodynamic processes affecting ice distribution and thickness. However, nearly all such models advect sea ice in response to wind and ocean forcing using either upstream or centered-difference methods, whose deficiencies are well known. We describe application of the second-order moment advection scheme of Prather [J. Geophys. Res. 91 (1986) 6671]. In idealized tests this method produces relatively distinct ice edges while maintaining positive ice thicknesses and concentrations. The offshore jacket platform is a complex and time-varying nonlinear system,which can be excited of harmful vibration by external loads.It is difficult to obtain an ideal control performance for passive control methods or traditional active control methods based on accurate mathematic model.In this paper,an adaptive inverse control method is proposed on the basis of novel rough neural networks (RNN) to control the harmful vibration of the offshore jacket platform,and the offshore jacket platform model is established by dynamic stiffness matrix (DSM) method.Benefited from the nonlinear processing ability of the neural networks and data interpretation ability of the rough set theory,RNN is utilized to identify the predictive inverse model of the offshore jacket platform system.Then the identified model is used as the adaptive predictive inverse controller to control the harmful vibration caused by wave and wind loads,and to deal with the delay problem caused by signal transmission in the control process.The numerical results show that the constructed novel RNN has advantages such as clear structure,fast training speed and strong error-tolerance ability,and the proposed method based on RNN can effectively control the harmfid vibration of the offshore jacket platform.  相似文献

本文取上世纪后50年至2003年度冬季渤海地区气温作为与渤海冬季冰情有关的气候指标。分析得出,渤海地区冬季气温随着年代呈上升趋势,特别是80年代中期至本世纪初尤为明显。受其影响,渤海冬季的冰情时空分布状况发生了较大变化。其特点是:初冰日较多年平均值推后、终冰日较多年平均值提前,冰期较多年平均值偏短,冰厚较多年平均值偏薄,结冰范围(沿岸固定冰宽度和浮冰外缘线)较多年平均值偏小,甚至有些海区已多年未曾见到海冰了。  相似文献

The efforts to use GEOSAT data to refine an ice index that is applicable to widely varying ice conditions are detailed. The sea-ice mapping requirements, the present US Navy ice-index operational utilization, and ongoing and future work that promises to provide additional sea-ice measurement capabilities are discussed. Possibilities include discrimination among water, land, ice, combination water/ice, and water/land, as well as distinguishing various ice concentrations and possibly ice types. Sea ice as a disaster has recently attracted a great deal of attention in China. Its monitoring has become a routine task for the maritime sector. Remote sensing, which depends mainly on SAR and optical sensors, has become the primary means for sea-ice research. Optical images contain abundant sea-ice multi-spectral information, whereas SAR images contain rich sea-ice texture information. If the characteristic advantages of SAR and optical images could be combined for sea-ice study, the ability of sea-ice monitoring would be improved. In this study, in accordance with the characteristics of sea-ice SAR and optical images, the transformation and fusion methods for these images were chosen. Also, a fusion method of optical and SAR images was proposed in order to improve sea-ice identification. Texture information can play an important role in sea-ice classification. Haar wavelet transformation was found to be suitable for the sea-ice SAR images, and the texture information of the sea-ice SAR image from Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar(ASAR) loaded on ENVISAT was documented. The results of our studies showed that, the optical images in the hue-intensity-saturation(HIS) space could reflect the spectral characteristics of the sea-ice types more efficiently than in the red-green-blue(RGB) space, and the optical image from the China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite(CBERS-02B) was transferred from the RGB space to the HIS space. The principal component analysis(PCA) method could potentially contain the maximum information of the sea-ice images by fusing the HIS and texture images. The fusion image was obtained by a PCA method, which included the advantages of both the sea-ice SAR image and the optical image. To validate the fusion method, three methods were used to evaluate the fused image, i.e., objective, subjective, and comprehensive evaluations. It was concluded that the fusion method proposed could improve the ability of image interpretation and sea-ice identification.  相似文献

为研究渤海海域海冰撞击导管架海洋平台的冰振响应,基于锥体冰力函数,本文建立了渤海海域的冰力作用模型。采用ANSYS有限元软件对导管架平台与海冰的相互作用进行数值模拟,开展了海冰作用下抗冰平台的静力分析及平台动力响应分析。通过与静力分析结果对比,验证了动冰力对结构响应的动力放大效应。在此基础上通过改变冰厚、冰速等海冰参数,研究了不同冰力作用周期下导管架平台的冰振响应。研究表明,海冰厚度及海冰流动速度是影响平台动力响应的主要因素,为导管架平台结构的动力优化设计提供了研究基础。  相似文献

In the Weddell Sea during the winters of 1974–1976 a significant opening in the sea-ice cover occurred in the vicinity of a large bathymetric feature — the Maud Rise seamount. The event is commonly referred to as the Weddell Polynya. Aside from such a large-scale, relatively persistent polynya in the Weddell Sea, transient, small-scale polynya can also appear in the sea-ice cover at various times throughout the winter and at various locations with respect to the Maud Rise. The underlying causes for the occurrence of such transient polynya have not been unambiguously identified. We hypothesize that variations in the mean ocean currents are one major contributor to such variability in the sea-ice cover. Analysis of the sea-ice equations with certain idealized patterns of ocean currents serving as forcing is shown to lead to Ekman transports of sea ice favorable to the initiation of transient polynya. Aside from the actual spatial pattern of the idealized ocean currents, many other factors need also be taken into account when looking at such transient polynya. Two other such factors discussed are variations in the sea-ice thickness field and the treatment of the sea-ice rheology. Simulations of a sea-ice model coupled to a dynamical ocean model show that the interaction of (dynamical) oceanic currents with large-scale topographic features, such as the Maud Rise, does lead to the formation of transient polynya, again through Ekman transport effects. This occurs because the seamount has a dynamic impact on the three-dimensional oceanic flow field all the way up through the water column, and hence on the near surface ocean currents that are in physical contact with the sea ice. Further simulations of a sea-ice model coupled to a dynamic ocean model and forced with atmospheric buoyancy fluxes show that transient polynya can be enhanced when atmospheric cooling provides a positive feedback mechanism allowing preferential open-ocean convection to occur. The convection, which takes hold at sites where transient polynya have been initiated by sea-ice–ocean stress interaction, has an enhancing effect arising from the convective access to warmer, deeper waters. To investigate all of these effects in a hierarchical manner we use a primitive equation coupled sea-ice–ocean numerical model configured in a periodic channel domain with specified atmospheric conditions. We show that oceanic flow variability can account for temporal variability in small-scale, transient polynya and thus point to a plausible mechanism for the initiation of large-scale, sustained polynya such as the Weddell Polynya event of the mid 1970s.  相似文献
