利用太平洋地区台风过境期间6个热带气象站的高分辨率无线电探空资料,结合扩展经验正交函数(EEOF)展开,对热带下平流层行星波和重力波扰动进行了分离,给出了一种热带地区提取重力波扰动的新方案。对观测数据做EEOF展开后,选择表征行星尺度波动模态的特征向量和相应权重进行气象要素场的重建。结果显示,在不同的台风过程期间,温度、纬向风和经向风的重建扰动量显示出不同的动力学偏振关系:在准两年振荡(QBO)东风位相时与赤道开尔文波的偏振关系一致,而在准两年振荡西风位相时与混合罗斯贝-重力波(MRG)的偏振关系一致。把行星尺度波动模态从原始观测中剔除,得到新的扰动廓线,对其进行重力波垂直波数谱的谱型拟合。结果发现,与以往方法提取的重力波扰动相比,新方法所得谱型参数中特征垂直波长λ*在不同时期不同站点变化很小,稳定在1.7 km左右,且低频波数段谱斜率s的数值与理论假设1十分接近。综合其研究结果可以推测,用新方法提取的热带重力波扰动更加符合当前的理论垂直波数谱模型。   相似文献

利用2014年6月-2017年9月的秒级探空资料,选取四川地区5个代表性站点研究重力波在对流层(2~10 km)和平流层(18~25 km)的时空特征。选取结果表明:重力波能量在四川地区各个高度均存在明显的季节变化,冬季强,夏季弱;在对流层由于地形影响,川西和川北高原地区的能量小于其他地区。垂直波长没有明显的时空变化,在对流层和平流层分别集中分布于1.5~3 km和1.5~3.5 km;水平波长则差别较大,分别分布于0~300 km和100~700 km,平均值分别为100 km和350 km。重力波固有频率在对流层有较大的区域差异,表现为在四川西北部的高原地区固有频率平均值为3f(f为地转参数),其他地区则仅为2.4f;平流层则没有明显的差异存在,均约为2f。四川地区重力波的垂直传播方向特征基本相同,在对流层约有50%的波动向上传播,平流层则有90%以上的波动向上传播。水平传播则存在明显的不确定性,特别是对流层;平流层水平传播方向存在明显的季节变化,表现为夏季重力波多向偏东方向传播,而其他季节则向偏西方向传播。  相似文献

重力波参数气候特征是确定全球大气模式中重力波参数化方案的一个重要环节,利用高垂直分辨率探空资料扰动场是获取重力波参数气候特征的基础数据和重要手段。目前,通常采用2~4阶曲线拟合、带通滤波方法获取高垂直分辨率探空资料扰动场,但针对不同方法之间的扰动场差异特征研究较少,本文利用2~4阶曲线拟合、带通滤波方法(0.5~5.0km)获取2014—2017年太原地区(112.55°E,37.78°N)高垂直分辨率探空资料扰动场,采用相关系数、Lomb-Scargle、不同区间范围占有率方法进行研究,结果表明:①不同方法之间的纬向风扰动场、经向风扰动场、温度扰动场均存在较明显差异,且相关性均较弱;②Lomb-Scargle分析表明,不同方法得到的平均纬向风扰动场、平均经向风扰动场、平均温度扰动场显著含有(通过90%置信检验)的垂直波长均存在明显差异;③不同方法得到的纬向风扰动场、经向风扰动场、温度扰动场显著含有的垂直波长,在不同区间范围内的占有率均存在明显差异。  相似文献

A long-term record (1964–1995) of radiosonde data observed atthe Bet-Dagan aerological station of the Israel Meteorological Service was analyzed to detect possible temporal trends in moisture content and instability of the atmospheric boundary layer. Bet-Dagan issituated in the central part of the south-east Mediterranean coastal plain. During this period surface characteristics in this region have changed drastically due to changes in land use, i.e., urbanization, development of irrigated agriculture and afforestation. The analysis of the radiosonde data reveals a clearly defined, statistically significant, increasing trend in the moisture content, mainly during summer. The stability of the surface layer, characterized by the bulk Richardson Number, shows adecreasing trend since the early 1960s. Relationships between these trends, land-use modifications and possible influence of large-scale influence are discussed.  相似文献

An investigation is made of the mechanics of amplitude vacillation in a numerically simulated rotating annulus flow system. Amplitude vacillation is characterized by a periodic change of vertical wave structure in concert with growth and decay of wave amplitude and phase speed. The temperature wave amplitude profile for the dominant component consists of three local maxima: (1) lower boundary layer, (2) upper half layer and (3) lower half layer. The lower layer waves lead the time-dependent structural variation during vacillation. Two types of amplitude vacillation found in the experimental measurements (Buzyna et al., 1989: J. Atmos. Sci. 46, 2716–2729) can be distinguished in the temperature wave by whether the lower layer waves split from and travel behind the upper layer waves by one wave period in each cycle of vacillation. Linear eigenvalue analyses with respect to the instantaneous axisymmetric state at various points in time are performed to elucidate the simple interaction between the dominant wave and the zonal mean state. During the vacillation cycle, the zonal mean state is modified by the wave, which causes a change in growth rate and vertical structure of the linearly most unstable eigenmode. This, in turn, forces the actual changes of the nonlinear solutions.  相似文献

青藏高原探空大气水汽偏差及订正方法研究   总被引:4,自引:1,他引:3  
水汽是大气的主要成分和降水的主要物质来源.青藏高原大气水汽分布对区域天气和气候有很大影响,为了探讨探空观测的大气水汽总量(R)资料的可靠性,本文以地基GPS遥感的大气水汽总量(G)为参照标准,对拉萨(1999~2010年)和那曲(2003年)的R进行对比分析和偏差(R-G)订正.结果表明:近10多年拉萨站R比G明显偏小,偏小程度随使用不同的探空仪而异.GZZ-2型机械探空仪和GTS-1型电子探空仪多年平均的PW偏差分别为-8.8%和-3.9%,随机误差分别为17.6%和13.6%.近10多年PW偏差变化呈减少趋势,这与探空仪性能改进有关.分析发现,青藏高原PW偏差具有明显季节变化和日变化特征,夏季比冬季明显,1200 UTC比0000 UTC明显.拉萨站GZZ-2型和GTS-1型探空仪在1200 UTC多年平均的PW偏差分别为-15.8%和-7.3%,在0000 UTC分别为-1.6%和-0.4%.那曲站GZZ-2型探空仪在1200 UTC和0000 UTC的PW偏差分别为-12.4%和-0.3%.分析还表明,太阳辐射加热与气温的日变化和季节变化是造成高原PW偏差日变化和季节变化的重要原因.据此,提出了高原PW偏差的订正方法,并以拉萨和那曲站为例进行PW偏差订正,订正后的PW系统偏差显著减少,随机误差也相应得到了改善.  相似文献

利用全国探空系统换型时获取的70个高空台站的对比观测数据,计算了59型探空仪和L波段探空仪温度和位势高度的差异,分析了探空仪换型对于探空数据一致性的影响。结果表明:就全国平均而言,在100 hPa特别是在400 hPa以下高度,两套系统提供的温度和位势高度观测值没有明显的系统差异;但在70 hPa以上高空,59型探空仪测定的规定等压面温度比L波段探空仪低0.1~0.7℃,导致位势高度在20 hPa高度时偏低达30 m左右,换型前后变化明显。系统差异的产生与59型探空仪的生产厂家、施放地区和季节关系较大,进一步分析表明:太原厂生产的探空仪测得的温度在对流层偏高,在平流层偏低,位势高度在对流层偏高,在平流层逐步转为偏低;上海厂生产的探空仪测得的温度全程偏低,引起位势高度也全程偏低,因此两个厂家的59型探空仪相对于L波段的温度和位势高度系统差也有明显不同。用户在使用局部地区高空站59型探空仪的观测数据时需了解该59型探空仪的生产厂家。  相似文献

应用含有非绝热因子的正压模式方程组,着重分析了对流凝结加热、蒸发-风反馈和CISK机制等非绝热因子对低纬Rossby波和Kelvin波的影响。既获得了圆频率的表达式,又分析了波的周期与稳定性。结果表明:非绝热因子的存在不但扩大了绝热波的周期,而且改变了波的稳定性。因此,可以认为:所谓季节内振荡(30—60天的周期振荡)等低频振荡实际上是一类非绝热波,这类非绝热波是引起中长期天气变化及短期气候演变的重要因素。  相似文献

Summary An analysis of mesoscale gravity wave events during the severe weather outbreak in the Red River Valley on 10–11 April 1979 is presented utilizing surface pressure data and the 3 h rawinsonde data from the AVE-SESAMEI special network. The unique data set provided by the SESAME field experiment makes it possible to relate the wavelike characteristics observed at the surface to the variability of the temperature, humidity, and wind fields over a deep tropospheric layer that act to initiate and sustain the waves over long distances and time periods.Three different wave events (A, B, and C) were identified via spectral analysis and cross-correlation techniques. They all have similar periods, approximately 3 h, but different phase velocities. All three wave events are generated and propagate in the exit region or anticyclonic side of upperlevel jet streaks. Convection and wind shear are shown to be unlikely contributors to the generation of event A, which is probably related to the development of a strong divergent field in association with an upper-tropospheric jet streak and to the ensuing mass adjustment process. Events B and C also appear in a region of strong ageostrophic motion associated with an upper-level jet streak. However, the low values of the Richardson number (Ri) at the critical levels of these two waves suggest vertical wind shear as a likely contributor to their generation and/or maintenance. A linear stability analysis confirms, with unprecedent spatial and temporal resolution, that a modal structure is present in the atmosphere whose characteristics are consistent with those of waves B and C.Three-hourly rawinsonde data show strong temporal and spatial variability throughout the troposphere in the wind, temperature, and humidity fields when the waves are present. Convective systems, as detected by radar, are closely linked to the waves, although not in a consistent manner: cells intensify or develop at the passage of a wave trough in event A, at the passage of a wave ridge in event C, and at the passage of a wave trough or ridge in event B, depending on the geographic location of the cells. 本文利用2012~2015年西南涡加密观测大气科学实验的剑阁、金川、九龙和名山四站探空资料,统计分析了6~7月西南涡活动期间对流层中、高层(6~12 km)的重力波过程,结果表明:青藏高原东部川西高原南部的九龙站与其余三站不同,重力波源主要来自对流层上层,波能传播方向向上,剑阁、金川和名山三站重力的波源主要来自对流层下层,波能传播方向向下。重力波过程在不同类型的西南涡活动中有明显差异,在移出型西南涡活动初期,重力波水平传播方向主要为东北向,其上传概率远大于下传概率,波动的动能和潜能较大且变化剧烈;而对应源地型西南涡,初期主要呈西北—东南向传播且重力波上传与下传概率相当,动能和潜能较小且变化相对平缓同时本次研究表明,重力波水平传播方向对西南涡的移动方向也有一定指示作用。按照发生时刻本文将重力波分为日发型重力波和夜发型重力波,在夜发型西南涡初期,重力波活动夜发(北京时20:00~08:00)的概率较大,这表明重力波的夜发性与西南涡的夜发性可能存在一定关联。  相似文献

It is discussed that the anomaly in long-range weather is due to the stable sustained circulation.Waveson monthly or seasonal departure maps can essentially be regarded as probability waves which reflectthe anomaly distribution of heat sources and sinks on the earth's surface.The persistent stable circulationcreats these distributions which serve as persistent disturbance sources and in turn feedback the generalcirculation with persistent stability in later period.The departure probability waves on a six-month (September—February)chart reflect the anomalous dis-tribution of heat sources and sinks on the underlying surface.The waves north of 30°N move slowly andeastward on the Eurasian Continent against the temperature gradient,while they are stationary south of 30°N.A statistical model is developed to predict the spring—summer temperature and precipitation of next yearby using the six-month departure probability wave of last year.During 1982--1985 it was tested in severalprovinces of northern China with encousaging results.  相似文献

The purpose of this note is to estimate the accuracy and practical limitations of applying linear theory at a critical level over a realistic range of atmospheric stabilities for an idealized surface terrain. These estimates are made by comparing the results of a linear model with a nonlinear numerical model at a critical level. Essentially similar results are obtained from each model for wave stress, wave breaking height and wave dissipation through the critical level. Because gravity waves can be either evanescent or internal depending on the relative sizes of the Scorer parameter and the wavenumber of the ground surface disturbance, the somewhat paradoxical result develops that wave breaking and non-linearity increase with increasing bulk Richardson number. It is recommended that steady linear wave theory be used in gravity wave drag parameterizations provided near real time profiles of background velocity and temperature are available.  相似文献

A comparison is made between the magnitudes of observed large-scale weather waves over the tropical Pacific and the magnitudes of the corresponding waves, predicted by wave-CISK theories, which are driven by the observed amount of latent heating (i.e., precipitation). The theoretical wave fields of meridional velocity, vorticity, and temperature rate are shown to exceed the observed quantities by an order of magnitude. An attempt is made to simulate the observed balance between the diabatic heating and adiabatic cooling within the context of the inviscid theories. For a broad class of heating profiles, geometries and basic states, it is found that this compensation without temperature change cannot be satisfactorily modelled, regardless of the vertical shape of the heating, when the vertical wavelength of the disturbance exceeds about 6 km.Scale analysis demonstrates that an important dynamical term has been neglected in the inviscid models, viz., the vertical transport of horizontal momentum by cumulus clouds. When this process is included in the wave model, velocities, relative vorticity, and the time rate of temperature change are all comparable to the observed values. The general behavior of a system where both forcing and cumulus “friction” are proportional to each other has not been previously examined. We find the behavior of such a system to have several novel features. For example, we find that for a wide range of precipitation amplitudes (from 1/4 to 4 times the precipitation amplitudes of waves in the western Pacific) we get essentially constant amplitudes for wind. The implications of this and other features for various aspects of tropical wave modelling are discussed.  相似文献

利用通化市所属5个气象站1954—2006年日平均温度组成的区域平均时间序列资料、季平均温度资料,分析了短期气温的剧烈变化(本文称之为寒潮和气温骤升)与后期季温度异常的关系,结果发现,冬季短期气温的剧烈变化与后期春、夏季气温距平存在联系,表现在一些特定的寒潮(或气温骤升)爆发日期段总是与后期季的高或低温相对应。在一定的年代背景下,一些日期段还与极端季温度距平存在明显的联系。与后期气温异常联系明显的寒潮爆发、气温骤升日期段存在着周期性,与春季低温对应明显的寒潮爆发日期有5 d的时间间隔;与春季低温对应明显的气温骤升的日期存在着9~11 d的周期,且随着日期的变化,爆发日期之间的间隔有规律的延长和缩短。一些寒潮爆发和气温骤升日期与东北夏季低温冷害存在明显的联系。  相似文献

In this paper a method is described of retrieving precipitable water from sun-photometermeasurements.The quantitative relationship between water vapor transmission and precipitablewater is established by means of LOWTRAN 7 model.Calibration of the water vapor absorptionchannel is made through a modified Langley method.The good agreement between the sun-photometer and radiosonde water vapor retrieval indicates that this method is feasible.The sun-photometer is operated at Hefei to monitor the precipitable water within one yearperiod.Characteristics of both diurnal evolution and within-one-year variation of the precipitablewater and their relation with synoptic system as well as surface dew-point temperature arepresented and analyzed.Errors in the retrieved precipitable water from the sun-photometermeasurements are also calculated and discussed.  相似文献

在前文采用半地转近似和行波法来研究层结大气中的非线性波动的基础上,进一步探讨非线性方程及其级数近似方程的解的稳定性,波动解的存在条件和波动的一些特征。研究指出,在平衡点附近,将非线性方程用其级数近似方程代替是可行的、合理的。在初始拟能满足一定的条件下,椭圆余弦波和孤立波是存在的。文中还求得了椭圆余弦波解的周期、x向波长和振幅以及孤立波的宽度和振幅。并指出,孤立波的宽度和振幅不但与波速有关,还与β因子和层结稳定度有关,而且在相同的某条件下,西行的混合Rossby-重力孤立波比起东行的惯性重力孤立波来,宽度要小但振幅却大。  相似文献

Engineering air pollution dispersion studies sometimes require a knowledge of the frequency of occurrence of ground-based inversions. Hostler (1961) and Munn et al. (1970) have prepared maps of frequencies of ground-based inversions for the United States and Canada, respectively, using radiosonde data. The method presented here employs long-term climatological maximum and minimum temperature data recorded at 36 pairs of valley/ridge climatological stations in British Columbia with at least several years of coincident data. Daily maximum and daily minimum temperatures at each pair of stations were compared. Monthly totals of positive temperature differences, i.e., inversion occurrences, in these comparisons were totalled, and converted to seasonal percentages, over the period of record. The resulting seasonal sets of inversion percentages at the times of maximum and minimum temperature are tabled. The effects of station separation, both horizontally and vertically are discussed, and the influence of adjacent water bodies, acting as heat sources in winter and heat sinks in summer are illustrated. Comparisons with the results obtained by other investigators are made.  相似文献

The equations of barotropic model are used to discuss the effects of diabatic factors such as heat-ing of convective condensation, evaporation-wind feedback and CISK on the Rossby wave and the Kelvin wave. In low latitudes we have obtained the angular frequency and analyzed the period and stability of waves. The result shows the existence of the diabatic factors not only enlarges the period of adiabatic waves but also changes the stability of waves. Thus we think that the so-called intraseasonal oscillation and some other low-frequency oscillations are a kind of diabatic waves which are important factors producing the long-term weather changes and short-term climatic evolution.  相似文献
