高频S波随着传播距离的增大其均方根(RMS)包络逐渐变宽,我们把这种现象称为S波包络展宽现象.S波传播路径上随机分布的非均匀体对S波的多次前向散射和绕射作用是导致S波包络展宽现象的主要原因,因此可用S波包络展宽现象来研究介质非均匀性.本文采用S波包络峰值延时来对S波包络展宽现象进行量化.S波包络峰值延时定义为S波初至与其均方根包络峰值最大值之间的时间差.本文选用长白山天池火山区的小震记录,运用S波包络峰值延时对长白山天池火山口地区的介质非均匀性进行了评价.结果发现长白山天池火山区呈现强烈的介质非均匀性,在0~2 km深度范围内介质非均匀性表现出南部强北部弱的空间分布特征;在2~5 km深度范围内介质非均匀性的空间分布特征与频率具有相关性;天池火山区介质非均匀性具有明显的多尺度特性;强弱非均匀性接触带,往往是地震频发地带.根据地震与非均匀体在空间分布的相对位置,我们认为火山区介质非均匀性可能反映了火山早期喷发堆积物介质结构的差异. 相似文献

平面波分解法是研究地震波场简捷有效的方法,各种复杂的波场可用平面波合成的方法得到.文中采用平面波方法研究非均匀各向异性介质中的弹性波.对时空域非均匀各向异性介质波动方程,运用f-k变换,可得到频率空间域波动方程(Christoffel方程).利用非均匀各向异性介质中,弹性参数及其空间变化率与Christoffel矩阵元素关系,提出非均匀各向异性介质Christoffel矩阵方程的求解方法,并运用于非均匀TIV介质和非均匀EDA介质.在连续介质条件下,当波沿速度增加方向传播时,振幅的方向导数小于零,即振幅衰减;当波沿速度减小方向传播时,振幅的方向导数大于零,即振幅增强.波的振幅强度是传播方向的函数(各向同性条件下也是如此),但并不总是衰减.若只研究波沿速度增加方向传播的情况即得出波在连续介质中传播振幅衰减的结论是不全面的. 相似文献

利用山东省和江苏省数字地震台网24个台站的269个小震记录, 采用散射S波包络展宽法对郯庐断裂带中段中上地壳小尺度介质非均匀性进行了研究. 结果表明: 郯庐断裂带中段中上地壳介质呈现强烈的横向非均匀性, 该断裂带为不同强度、 不同尺度介质非均匀体分布的边界; 强弱介质非均匀性边界往往与深部构造发育具有较强的相关性; 中强震孕育与强弱非均匀体的分布有关, 地震多发生在强弱非均匀体的过渡带上. 郯庐断裂带中上地壳介质非均匀分布特征可能与苏鲁超高压变质带、 深部构造及岩浆活动有关. 相似文献

用S波包络展宽法对青藏高原东南缘及邻区地壳介质非均匀性谱结构进行了研究,并以8~16Hz非均匀性谱结构为例分析了地壳介质非均匀性空间特征及其与强震孕育之间的关系。结果表明,研究区内地壳介质呈现强烈的、复杂的横向非均匀性。上地壳上部区域,沿龙门山断裂带、安宁河断裂带北段介质非均匀性程度相对较强,非均匀体尺度相对较小;鲜水河断裂带炉霍—道孚段、安宁河断裂带南段介质非均匀性程度相对较弱,非均匀体尺度相对较大。上地壳下部区域,沿龙门山断裂带、安宁河断裂带北段、鲜水河断裂带炉霍—道孚段、莲峰断裂沿线地壳介质非均匀性程度相对较强,沿鲜水河断裂带道孚—康定地区介质非均匀性相对较弱。中地壳,汶川—都江堰段、宝兴—康定段以及康定—石棉段介质非均匀性程度相对较强,而炉霍—康定西北地区,莲峰断裂沿线介质非均匀性程度相对较弱。对比发现中强震孕育、发生与介质非均匀性具有较强的相关性,中强震震中分布在介质非均匀性强弱过渡带上。强烈的、复杂的介质非均匀性可能与区内复杂的地质构造运动、频繁的地震活动所引起深部物质破碎、熔融及其沿断裂带的上涌、运移有关。 相似文献

为揭示地震波在地壳小尺度非均匀介质中的散射过程,更准确地描述地震波的包络展宽现象,本文基于多次各向异性散射理论,采用离散波数法求解能量密度积分方程,选取高斯型自相关函数表征的散射模式,得到S波能量密度包络。基于此,本文首先分析了单次散射和多次散射在形成S波能量密度包络中的贡献规律;然后探讨了吸收系数和总散射系数对合成S波能量密度包络的影响;最后对比了在不同散射模式下合成的S波能量密度包络的差异。结果显示:① 不同的散射模式下单次散射和多次散射对地震波散射过程的贡献规律是一致的,对于近震(震源距小于100 km),单次散射模型可以近似合成S波能量密度包络;随着震源距增大,多次前散射模型可以更快地接近总能量密度包络;② 吸收系数增大会降低直达S波和尾波幅值,总散射系数增大会降低直达S波幅值,但使得S波尾波幅值升高;③ 前散射模式下S波能量密度包络随震源距的增大会导致峰值延迟,包络展宽,尾波衰减一致性更快等现象产生。 相似文献

High-frequency S-wave seismogram envelopes of microearthquakes broaden with increasing travel distance,a phenomenon known as S-wave envelope broadening. Multiple forward scattering and diffraction for the random inhomogeneities along the seismic ray path are the main causes of S-wave envelope broadening,so the phenomenon of S-wave envelope broadening is used to study the inhomogeneity of the medium. The peak delay time of an S-wave,which is defined as the time lag from the direct S-wave onset to the maximum amplitude arrival of its envelope,is accepted to quantify S-wave envelope broadening. 204 small earthquake records in Changbaishan Tianchi volcano were analyzed by the S-wave envelope broadening algorithm. The results show that S-wave envelope broadening in the Changbaishan Tianchi volcano is obvious,and that the peak delay time of S-wave has a positive correlation with the hypocenter distance and frequency of the S-wave. The relationships between the S-wave peak delay time and the hypocenter distance for different frequency bands were obtained using the statistics method. The results are beneficial to the understanding of the S-wave envelope broadening phenomena and the quantitative research on the inhomogeneities of the crust medium in the Changbaishan Tianchi volcano region. 相似文献

在克希霍夫叠前时间偏移处理中,地震波走时的计算方法是决定大偏移距地震资料成像品质的重要因素.在常规的三维转换波各向异性叠前时间偏移公式中,走时的计算是基于等效单层各向异性介质的非双曲线方法.用这种方法处理的成像道集,在偏移/深度比超过一定阈值后,成像道集中的反射同相轴将出现过偏现象,这种偏移不平的同相轴将影响偏移叠加的最佳响应,使得偏移成像波组呈低频化特征,最终降低三维转换波偏移成像质量.我们采用层状介质的走时计算方法代替常规算法,并且利用了常规方法的转换波各向异性偏移速度模型.基于层状介质的算法能够提高大偏移距转换波走时计算精度,克服中浅地层大偏移距远道成像道集中反射同相轴逐渐上翘的问题.两个地区的三维转换波资料处理结果证实,基于层状各向异性介质的转换波克希霍夫叠前时间偏移方法,明显改善了反射成像剖面的连续性和分辨率,提高成像剖面构造的可解释性. 相似文献

This study analyzes the S-wave envelope broadening characteristics of 290 earthquakes recorded by 14 stations of the Spanish National Seismograph Network in the Canary Islands region. The S-wave peak delay time (t p ) and envelope duration (t q ) parameters are evaluated phenomenologically to infer the strength of velocity inhomogeneities of the medium along each seismic ray path. Crustal (0?≤?h?≤?18 km) and upper mantle (18?<?h?≤?80 km) events are analyzed separately. Results in the frequency range 1 to 12 Hz for hypocentral distances from 30 to 600 km show that both t p and t q increase according to a power of hypocentral distance and they are independent of frequency. The spatial distribution of the peak delay time reveals weak strength of heterogeneity in most of the region at shallow depths. Relatively strong inhomogeneous zones are generated under the island of Tenerife and Gran Canaria at depths of 11–22 km. 相似文献

When P waves from distant earthquakes meet a velocity discontinuity in the earth's crust and upper mantle, they give rise to a series of converted PS waves besides PP refracted waves. It is possible to monitor the variation of the physical properties of the medium in the limited formation space above the transition zone of the seismogenic zone by measuring the time difference between the teleseismic PS converted wave and the first arrival P wave, that is, time-variation ΔtPS=tPS-tP. The advantage of this method is that the transition point of the teleseismic source with similar source is relatively stable at the transition interface, and the accuracy of the measured relative time is high, and the change of the medium in a small range of the seismogenic zone above the conversion interface can be monitored.
This paper studies the variation of the travel time difference ΔtPS in focal region before and after Wenchuan MS8.0 earthquake. We select 2001 to 2012 as the research period, use teleseismic waveforms which occurred in the southern region of Sumatra and Hindu Kush area recorded by Sichuan station YZP and JJS. These teleseisms satisfy 5.0 ≤ M ≤ 6.5, and their waveform signal-to-noise ratio is high with clear initial P-wave motion. The epicentral distance of teleseisms is less than 3 degrees. Then we obtain the variation of the travel time difference ΔtPS between teleseismic PS converted wave and PP transmitted wave recorded during the study period in the two stations. The results show that there is a slow increasing trend of ΔtPS before 2006, and an obvious low value process of ΔtPS appeared in the period about 2 years before the Wenchuan earthquake. The maximum decline was about 0.2~0.3s, more than 4~5 times the measurement error. The low value has a certain degree of return about 2~3 months before the earthquake.
The change of arrival time difference indicates that the medium is in different states in different periods of seismogenic process. The sharp decrease in ΔtPS from 2006 to January 2008 may be due to the strong disturbance caused by the stress accumulation of the medium. At this stage, the velocity of P wave and S wave increases with the increase of stress, and the increase of S wave velocity will result in the decrease of ΔtPS. The change of ΔtPS is greatly affected by S wave velocity, so ΔtPS appears to decrease rapidly. Regarding the low value that has a certain degree of return about 2~3 months before the Wenchuan earthquake, the possible reason is that the release of stress is much higher than the accumulation of stress in meta-instability stage. At this stage, the velocity of S wave decreases and the decrease of S wave causes ΔtPS to increase. Then, the Wenchuan earthquake of magnitude 8.0 occurred. It is shown that the teleseismic converted wave method in this paper can monitor the variation of medium's wave velocity before large earthquakes, and it has a good prospect in seismic monitoring and worth further experimental study. 相似文献

利用首都圈数字地震台网记录到的P波和S波到时资料,选取北京地区有5个以上记录台站共76个地震事件,计算北京地区地震波速比的平均值及其随时间的变化,发现首都圈地区中等地震前北京地区地震波速比出现了较明显的低值异常。因此,依据北京地区地震的波速比变化特征,可以为首都圈地区发生的中等地震提供一定程度的跟踪预测意见。 相似文献
